| 1 | The Oral Microbiome Bank of China显示文摘The human microbiome project(HMP) promoted further understanding of human oral microbes. However, research on the human oral microbiota has not made as much progress as research on the gut microbiota. Currently, the causal relationship between the oral microbiota and oral diseases remains unclear, and little is known about the link between the oral microbiota and human systemic diseases. To further understand the contribution of the oral microbiota in oral diseases and systemic diseases, a Human Oral Microbiome Database(HOMD) was established in the US. The HOMD includes 619 taxa in 13 phyla, and most of the microorganisms are from American populations. Due to individual differences in the microbiome, the HOMD does not reflect the Chinese oral microbial status. Herein, we established a new oral microbiome database—the Oral Microbiome Bank of China(OMBC,http://gffzz1f92d53390b34408hbof9oqxwocqv69k0.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/ombc). Currently, the OMBC includes information on 289 bacterial strains and 720 clinical samples from the Chinese population, along with lab and clinical information. | 2 | A Collision Arbitration Protocol Based on Specific Selection Function显示文摘Fast and effective identifications of a large number of items are required in many Radio-frequency identification(RFID) applications. Simultaneous responses from multiple tags are corrupted by collisions and thus result in low identification efficiency. To address the problem of low identification efficiency, many existing tag anticollision algorithms try to schedule the identification process to avoid collisions. A novel anti-collision scheme based on specific selection function is presented, in which tags pick a slot according to a selection function instead of being randomly assigned to slots within a frame. If collision occurs, the reader sends the custom command SETBM according to the collision information. When probed by the SETBM, the tags apply the selection function to its partial ID and send the mapped result to the reader. According to the mapped result, the reader assigns the time slot to the tags. All tags collided in the same slot will be identified by the tree traversal scheme. | 3 | Accurate assessment of antibiotic susceptibility and screening resistant strains of a bacterial population by linear gradient plate显示文摘The dynamics of a bacterial population exposed to theminimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of an antibiotic is an important issue in pharmacological research.Therefore,a novel antibiotic susceptibility test is urgently needed that can both precisely determine the MIC and accurately select antibiotic-resistant strains from clinical bacterial populations.For this purpose,we developed a method based on Fick's laws of diffusion using agar plates containing a linear gradient of antibiotic.The gradient plate contained two layers.The bottom layer consisted of 15 mL agar containing the appropriate concentration of enrofloxacin and allowed to harden in the form of a wedge with the plate slanted such that the entire bottom was just covered.The upper layer consisted of 15 mL plain nutrient agar added with the plate held in the horizontal position.After allowing vertical diffusion of the drug from the bottom agar layer for 12 h,the enrofloxacin concentration was diluted in proportion to the ratio of the agar layer thicknesses.The uniform linear concentration gradient was verified by measuring the enrofloxacin concentration on the agar surface.When heavy bacterial suspensions were spread on the agar surface and incubated for more than 12 h,only resistant cells were able to form colonies beyond the boundary of confluent growth of susceptible cells.In this way,the true MIC of enrofloxacin was determined.The MICs obtained using this linear gradient plate were consistent with those obtained using conventional antibiotic susceptibility tests.Discrete colonies were then spread onto a gradient plate with higher antibiotic concentrations;the boundary line increased significantly,and gene mutations conferring resistance were identified.This new method enables the rapid identification of resistant strains in the bacterial population.Use of the linear gradient plate can easily identify the precise MIC and reveal the dynamic differentiation of bacteria near the MIC.This method allows the study of genetic and physiological characteristics of individual strains,and may be useful for early warning of antibiotic resistance that may occur after use of certain antimicrobial agents,and guide clinical treatment. | LIU YuQing LI JingRan DU JiaFa HU Ming BAI Hua QI Jing GAO Chao WEI TianTian SU Hong JIN JianLing GAO PeiJi | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,10: | 4 |

| 5 | Nuclear Localized O-Fucosyltransferase SPY Facilitates PRR5 Proteolysis to Fine-Tune the Pace of Arabidopsis Circadian Clock显示文摘Post-translational modifications play essential roles in finely modulating eukaryotic circadian clock systems.In plants,the effects of O-glycosylation on the circadian clock and the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown.The O-fucosyltransferase SPINDLY(SPY)and the O-GIcNAc transferase SECRET AGENT(SEC)are two prominent O-glycosylation enzymes in higher plants,with both overlapped and unique functions in plant growth and development.Unlike the critical role of O-GIcNAc in regulating the animal circadian clock,here we report that nuclear-localized SPY,but not SEC,specifically modulates the pace of the Arabidopsis circadian clock.By identifying the interactome of SPY,we identified PSEUDORESPONSE REGULATOR 5(PRR5),one of the core circadian clock components,as a new SPY-interacting protein.PRR5 can be O-fucosylated by SPY in pianta,while point mutation in the catalytic domain of SPY abolishes the O-fucosylation of PRR5.The protein abundance of PRR5 is strongly increased in spy mutants,while the degradation rate of PRR5 is much reduced,suggesting that PRR5 proteolysis is promoted by SPY-mediated O-fucosylation.Moreover,multiple lines of genetic evidence indicate that PRR5 is a major downstream target of SPY to specifically mediate its modulation of the circadian clock.Collectively,our findings provide novel insights into the specific role of the O-fucosyltransferase activity of SPY in modulating the circadian clock and implicate that O-glycosylation might play an evolutionarily conserved role in modulating the circadian clock system,via O-GIcNAcylation in mammals,but via O-fuco-sylation in higher plants. | Yan Wang Yuqing He Chen Su Rodolfo Zentella Tai-ping Sun Lei Wang | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,3: | 4 |
| 6 | Effects of complement inhibition on the ABC phenomenon in rats显示文摘Researchers reported that intravenously injected PEGylated colloidal drug carriers lose their long-circulating characteristic and accumulated extensively in liver when they are administrated twice in the same animal with certain intervals. This phenomenon was referred to as the 'accelerated blood clearance(ABC) phenomenon'. Some former studies had found that complement-mediated phagocytosis, activated by antigen–antibody complex, was responsible for inducing the phenomenon. According to the theory, we have used cobra venom factor to deplete complement in vivo and to investigate the effect of complement inhibition on the ABC phenomenon. Rats were administered by injection of cobra venom factor solution to build up the model of complement exhaustion/inhibition, and the effect of the inhibition of complement on ABC phenomenon was carried out. It seemed that inhibition of complement didn’t affect the pharmacokinetic of the first infection. By contrast, in rats of which complement had been depleted, the second dose of PEGylated nanoemulsions showed enhanced circulation time compared with normal rats in a complement inhibition-independent manner, but the ABC phenomenon was not completely eliminated. | 8 | 调强适形放疗在乳腺癌保乳术后应用的系统评价(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of this study was to assess the long-term effect of breast conservation with breast intensitymodulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for early-stage breast cancers.Methods:Pub Med,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database were searched to identify relevant original published trails,and the references of eligible studies were manually screened.Randomized controlled trails reported in any language,comparing breast IMRT with conventional radiotherapy (RT) in patients with early-stage breast cancer were eligible for inclusion.Two investigators independently assessed the quality of included trials and extracted data.The RevMan 5.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results:Four trials involving 1440 patients were included.The results showed that in the IMRT group,the occurrence of acute moist dermatitis,the edema of the mammary gland and the occurrence of hyperpigmentation were lower than those of RT group,the pooled risk ratio value and 95% confidence interval were 0.28 (0.17-0.48),0.03 (0.00-0.21) and 0.06 (0.02-0.15) respectively.The use of IMRT did not correlate with pain and quality of life,but the presence of moist desquamation did significantly correlate with pain and reduced quality of life.Conclusion:The currently available evidence showed that IMRT significantly reduces the occurrence of moist acute dermatitis anywhere in the breast and alleviates the suffering of patients and improves the quality of life of patients.Future large-scale,high-quality,double-blind trials are needed. | Xiupeng Ye Ling Su Xiaohu Wang Kehu Yang inhui Tian Qiuning Zhang Qiang Wang Xiaojun Li Yuqing Kang Liyun Guo Ruifeng Liu Shifang Feng | 2010 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2010,9,12: | 2 |

| 11 | Darbepoetin alfa injection versus epoetin alfa injection for treating anemia of Chinese hemodialysis patients with chronic kidney failure:A randomized,open-label,parallel-group,non-inferiority Phase III trail显示文摘Background:Erythropoietin is a glycoprotein that mainly regulates erythropoiesis.In patients with chronic renal failure with anemia,darbepoetin alfa can stimulate erythropoiesis,correct anemia,and maintain hemoglobin levels.This study was designed to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of darbepoetin alfa injections as being not inferior to epoetin alfa injections(Recombinant Human Erythropoietin injection,rHuEPO)when maintaining hemoglobin(Hb)levels within the target range(10.0-12.0 g/dL)for the treatment of renal anemia.Methods:Ninety-five patients were enrolled in this study from April 15,2013 to April 10,2014 at 25 sites.In this study,patients(n=95)aged 18-70 years were randomized into a once per week intravenous darbepoetin alfa group(n=56)and a twice or three times per week intravenous epoetin alfa group(n=39)for 28 weeks,who had anemia with hemoglobin levels between 6 g/dL and 10 g/dL due to chronic kidney disease(CKD)and were undergoing hemodialysis or hemofiltration with ESA-naive(erythropoiesis stimulating agent-naive).The primary efficacy profile was the mean Hb level(the non-inferiority margin was-1.0 g/dL,week 21-28);the secondary efficacy profiles were the Hb increase rate(week 0-4),the target Hb achievement cumulative rate and time,the change trends of the Hb levels,and the target Hb maintenance ratio.Adverse events(AEs)were observed and compared,and the efficacy and safety were analyzed between the two treatment groups.Additionally,the frequencies of dose adjustments between the darbepoetin alfa and epoetin alfa groups were compared during the treatment period.SAS?software version 9.2 was used to perform all statistical analyses.Descriptive statistics were used for all efficacy,safety,and demographic variable analyses,including for the primary efficacy indicators.Results:The mean Hb level was 11.3 g/dL in the darbepoetin alfa group and 10.7 g/dL in the epoetin alfa group,respectively;the difference of the lower limits of the 95%confidence intervals(CI)between the two groups was 0.1 g/dL(>-1.0 g/dL),and non-inferiority was proven;the Hb levels started to increase in the first four weeks at a similar increase rate;no obvious differences were observed between the groups in the target Hb achievement cumulative rates,and the Hb levels as well as the target Hb level maintenance rate changed over time.The incidence of AEs was 62.5%in the darbepoetin alfa group and 76.9%in the epoetin alfa group.All the adverse events observed in the study were those commonly associated with hemodialysis.Conclusion:Darbepoetin alfa intravenously once per week can effectively increase Hb levels and maintain the target Hb levels well,which makes it not inferior to epoetin alfa intravenously twice or three times per week.Darbepoetin alfa shows an efficacy and safety comparable to epoetin alfa for the treatment of renal anemia. | Nan Chen Changying Xing Jianying Niu Bicheng Liu Junzhou Fu Jiuyang Zhao Zhaohui Ni Mei Wang Wenhu Liu Jinghong Zhao Ling Zhong Xiongfei Wu Wenge Li Yuqing Chen Wei Shi Jianghua Chen Aiping Yin Ping Fu Rong Wang Gengru Jiang Fanfan Hou Guohua Ding Jing Chen Gang Xu Yuichiro Kondo Yuliang Su Changlin Mei | 2022 | Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine2022,8,1: | 1 |

Exhausted macrophages rat model was established and new material containing polycarboxyl structure was synthesized. The microplate reader and the in vivo optical imaging system were applied to measure the concentration of nanoemulsions in tissues.The results show that the first dose of polyglycerin modified nanoemulsion can induce the ABC phenomenon of the second dose of PEGylated nanoemulsion. With the increase in the amount of the surface polyglycerin, the extent of the ABC phenomenon decreases. Liver accumulation has positive relationship with the ABC phenomenon. Furthermore, kupffer cells in liver can get more immune information from polyhydroxy structure than polycarboxyl group in the modify compound. | 18 | Endoplasmic reticulum stress is involved in retinal injury induced by repeated transient spikes of intraocular pressure显示文摘Clinically,a large proportion of glaucoma patients undergo repeated intraocular pressure(IOP)spike(Spike IOP)attacks during their sleep,which may facilitate retinopathy.In this study,we established a mouse model of repeated transient Spike IOP to investigate the direct damage to the retina following Spike IOP attacks,and elucidated the underlying molecular mechanism.We analyzed the changes in the number of retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)via immunofluorescence.Thereafter,we detected retinal cell apoptosis via terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase deoxyuridine triphosphate(d UTP)nick-end labeling(TUNEL)staining,and performed RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)to reveal the underlying molecular mechanism.Finally,we validated the expression of key molecules in the endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress pathway using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR)and western blot analysis.Results revealed a time-dependent RGC loss in Spike IOP,evidenced by a reduction in the number of Brn3 a-positive RGCs in experimental eyes following a 7-d continuous treatment with Spike IOP.In addition,TUNEL staining indicated that apoptosis of retinal cells started in the outer nuclear layer(ONL),and then spread to the ganglion cell layer(GCL)with time.RNA-seq analysis revealed that ER stress might be involved in Spike IOP-induced retinal injury.This result was corroborated by western blot,which revealed upregulation of ER stress-related proteins including binding immunoglobulin protein/glucose-regulated protein 78(Bi P/GRP78),phosphorylated inositolrequiring enzyme 1(p-IRE1),unspliced X-box-binding protein 1(XBP1-u),spliced X-box-binding protein 1(XBP1-s),phosphorylated c-Jun N-terminal kinase(p-JNK),C/EBP-homologous protein(CHOP),and B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2)-associated X protein(Bax).These findings indicate that repeated IOP transients are detrimental to the retina,while ER stress plays an important role in retinal cell apoptosis in this situation.Notably,repeated Spike IOP among glaucoma patients is a crucial factor for progressive retinopathy. | Xue YANG Xiaowei YU Zhenni ZHAO Yuqing HE Jiamin ZHANG Xiaoqian SU Nannan SUN Zhigang FAN | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,9: | 0 |
| 19 | Transient Stability Analysis of Large-scale Power Systems:A Survey显示文摘Transient stability analysis is a key problem in power system operation and planning.This paper aims at giving a comprehensive review on the modeling ideas and analysis methods for transient stability of large-scale power systems.For model construction,the general modeling of traditional power systems and special modeling for renewable generations and high-voltage direct-current transmissions are introduced.For transient stability analysis,Lyapunov based methods and non-Lyapunov based methods are thoroughly reviewed.In Lya-punov based methods,we focus on the energy function method,the sum-of-squares based method and decentralized stability analysis methods.Meanwhile,in non-Lyapunov based methods,the time-domain simulation,extended equal-area criterion and data-driven based methods are considered.The basic working principles,features and recent research progresses of all the above-mentioned methods are described in detail.In particular,their performances on several aspects,such as computational speed,conservativeness of stability region estimation or stability margin calculation,and adaptability to various types of system models,are mentioned.Finally,a brief discussion of potential directions for future research on transient stability analysis of large-scale power systems is included.Index Terms-connective stability,large-scale system analysis,Lyapunov functions,power systems,transient stability analysis. | Qing-Hua Wu Yuqing Lin Chao Hong Yinsheng Su Tianhao Wen Yang Liu | 2023 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,4: | 0 |
| 20 | Efficacy of electroacupuncture stimulating Zusanli(ST36)and Xuanzhong(GB39)on synovial angiogenesis in rats with adjuvant arthritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulating Zusanli(ST36)and Xuanzhong(GB39)on synovial angiogenesis in rats with adjuvant arthritis(AA).METHODS:AA models were established by bilateral injection of Freund's complete adjuvant(FCA)in male Sprague-Dawley rats.Three days after injection,rats were given EA at Zusanli(ST36)and Xuanzhong(GB39)acupoints,once every other day,for 16 d.The arthritis index score,paw volume,and hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining was performed for each animal.Angiogenesis marker cluster of differentiation 34(CD34)expression and synovial cell apoptosis in synovial tissue were observed.The levels of Notch1,hairy and enhancer of split homolog-1(Hes1),transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)were subsequently detected.RESULTS:We found that EA significantly decreased arthritis index scores,paw volume,and HE staining scores.EA could significantly inhibit the expression of CD34,promoting apoptosis of synovial cells in the joint synovial tissue of AA rats.The expression of Notch1 signaling pathway proteins and mR NAs(Notch1,Hes1,TGF-β,and bFGF)were markedly downregulated by EA treatment.CONCLUSIONS:These results prove that EA attenuates synovial angiogenesis by inhibiting the Notch1 signaling pathway in AA rat models.Based on our findings,we propose that EA is a promising complementary and alternative therapy in rheumatoid arthritis. | JIANG Jianzhen ZHANG Xin LUO Zhenguo SU Chengguo ZHOU Haiyan JIANG Yuqing XIAO Xianjun CHEN Yunfei ZHU Jun | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,5: | 0 |
