Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced, based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second. Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet, occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map. This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands, which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however, the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years. From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes, which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase, because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces, and artificial wetlands increased.NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22:51
Effects of Cr, Ni and Cu on the Corrosion Behavior of Low Carbon Microalloying Steel in a Cl^- Containing Environment显示文摘The effects of Cr, Ni and Cu on the corrosion behavior of low carbon microalloying steel in a Cl containing environment were investigated. The results revealed that the corrosion process could be divided into the initia stage in which the corrosion rate increased with accumulation of corrosion products and the later stage in which homogeneous and compact inner rust layers started to protect steel substrate out of corrosion mediums. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) indicated that the rust layers of the three-group steels (Cr Cr-Ni and Cr-Ni-Cu steels) were composed of α-FeOOH,β-FeOOH,γ-FeOOH, Fe3O4 and large amounts o amorphous compounds. The content of amorphous compounds of CreNieCu steel was about 2%-3% more than that of CreNi steel. The results of electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) showed that Cr concentrated mainly in the inner region of the rust of Cr-Ni-Cu steel, inner/outer interface especially, whereas Ni was uniformly distributed all over the rust and Cu was noticed rarely after 73 wet/dry cycles. The addition of C and Ni was beneficial to the formation of dense and compact inner rust layer, which was the most importan reason for the improvement of corrosion resistance of experimental steel.Yanlei Zhou Jun Chen Yang Xu Zhenyu Liu 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,2:29

Ketogenic diet alleviates colitis by reduction of colonic group 3 innate lymphoid cells through altering gut microbiome显示文摘Accumulating evidence suggests that ketogenic diets(KDs)mediate the rise of circulating ketone bodies and exert a potential antiinflammatory effect;however, the consequences of this unique diet on colitis remain unknown. We performed a series of systematic studies using a dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)animal model of inflammatory colitis.Animals were fed with a KD,low-carbohydrate diet(LCD),or normal diet(ND).Germ-free mice were utilized in validation experiments.Colon tissues were analyzed by transcriptome sequencing,RT2 profiler PCR array, histopathology, and immunofluorescence.Serum samples were analyzed by metabolic assay kit.Fecal samples were analyzed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. We observed that KD alleviated colitis by altering the gut microbiota and metabolites in a manner distinct from LCD.Quantitative diet experiments confirmed the unique impact of KD relative to LCD with a reproducible increase in Akkermansia, whereas the opposite was observed for Escherichia/Shigella.After colitis induction, the KD protected intestinal barrier function, and reduced the production of R0Ryt+CD3_group 3 innate lymphoid cells(ILC3s)and related inflammatory cytokines(IL-17a,IL-18,IL-22,Ccl4).Finally,fecal microbiota transplantation into germ-free mice revealed that the KD-mediated colitis inhibition and ILC3 regulation were dependent on the modification of gut microbiota.Taken together, our study presents a global view of microbiome-metabolomics changes that occur during KD colitis treatment, and identifies the regulation of gut microbiome and ILC3s as novel targets involving in IBD dietary therapy.Cheng Kong Xuebing Yan Yongqiang Liu Linsheng Huang Yefei Zhu Jide He Renyuan Gao Matthew F.Kalady Ajay Goel Huanlong Qin Yanlei Ma 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,5:8

Numerical simulation and optimization of Al alloy cylinder body by low pressure die casting显示文摘Shrinkage defects can be formed easily at critical location during low pressure die casting (LPDC) of aluminum alloy cylinder body. It has harmful effect on the products. Mold filling and solidification process of a cylinder body was simulated by using of Z-CAST software. The casting method was improved based on the simulation results. In order to create effective feeding passage, the structure of casting was modified by changing the location of strengthening ribs at the bottom, without causing any adverse effect on the part's performance. Inserting copper billet at suitable location of the die is a valid way to create suitable solidification sequence that is beneficial to the feeding. Using these methods, the shrinkage defect was completely eliminated at the critical location.Mi Guofa Liu Yanlei Zhao Hengtao Fu Hengzhi 2008China Foundry2008,5,2:5
Mesenchymal stem cell treatment improves outcome of COVID-19 patients via multiple immunomodulatory mechanisms显示文摘The infusion of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients with mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)potentially improves clinical symptoms, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. We conducted a randomized,single-blind,placebo-controlled(29 patients/group)phase II clinical trial to validate previous findings and explore the potential mechanisms.Patients treated with umbilical cord-derived MSCs exhibited a shorter hospital stay(P=0.0198)and less time required for symptoms remission(P=0.0194)than those who received placebo.Based on chest images, both severe and critical patients treated with MSCs showed improvement by day 7(P=0.0099)and day 21(P=0.0084).MSC-treated patients had fewer adverse events.MSC infusion reduced the levels of C-reactive protein, proinflammatory cytokines, and neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)and promoted the maintenance of SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies. To explore how MSCs modulate the immune system,we employed single-cell RNA sequencing analysis on peripheral blood. Our analysis identified a novel subpopulation of VNN2+hematopoietic stem/progenitorlike(HSPC-like)cells expressing CSF3R and PTPRE that were mobilized following MSC infusion.Genes encoding chemotaxis factors—CX3CR1 and L-selectin—were upregulated in various immune cells.MSC treatment also regulated B cell subsets and increased the expression of costimulatory CD28 in T cells in vivo and in vitro. In addition,an in vivo mouse study confirmed that MSCs suppressed NET release and reduced venous thrombosis by upregulating kindlin-3 signaling.Together, our results underscore the role of MSCs in improving COVID-19 patient outcomes via maintenance of immune homeostasis.Rongjia Zhu Tingdong Yan Yingmei Feng Yan Liu Hongcui Cao Gongxin Peng Yanlei Yang Zhen Xu Jingqi Liu Wei Hou Xiaoyue Wang Zhe Li Luchan Deng Shihua Wang Jing Li Qin Han Hongling Li Guangliang Shan Yinghao Cao Xingyan An Jianshe Yan Zhonghui Zhang Huafei Li Xuebin Qu Jiaqi Zhu Shumin Zhou Jiao Wang Fengchun Zhang Jinming Gao Ronghua Jin Dayong Xu Yan-Qing Ma Tao Huang Shuang Peng Zhi Zheng Ilia Stambler Eric Gilson Lee Wei Lim Alexey Moskalev Antonio Cano Sasanka Chakrabarti Brun Ulfhake Huanxing Su Haoying Xu Sihuan Xu Feng Wei Holly MBrown-Borg Kyung-Jin Min Georgina Ellison-Hughes Calogero Caruso Kunlin Jin Robert Chunhua Zhao 2021Cell Research2021,31,12:5
Surface composition dominates the electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 on ultrafine CuPd nanoalloys显示文摘Preciously tuning the surface composition of noble metal nanoparticles with the particle size of only 2 nm or less by alloying with other metals represents a powerful strategy to boost their electrocatalytic selectivity. However, the synthesis of ultrafine nanoalloys and tuning their surface composition remain challenging. In this report, ultrafine CuPd nanoalloys with the particle size of ca.2 nm are synthesized based on the galvanic replacement reaction between presynthesized Cu nanoparticles and Pd2+precursors,and the tuning of their surface compositions is also achieved by changing the atom ratios of Cu/Pd.For the electrocatalytic reduction of CO2,Cu5Pd5 nanoalloys show the CO Faradaic efficiency(FE)of 88%at−0.87 V,and the corresponding mass activity reaches 56 A/g that is much higher than those of Cu8Pd2 nanoalloys,Cu3Pd7 nanoalloys and most of previously reported catalysts.Density functional theory uncovers that with the increase of Pd on the surface of the ultrafine CuPd nanoalloys, the adsorbed energy of both of intermediate COOH*and CO*to the Pd sites is strengthened. The Cu5Pd5 nanoalloys with the optimal surface composition better balance the adsorption of COOH*and desorption of CO*,achieving the highest selectivity and activity. The difficult liberation of absorbed CO*on the surface of Cu3Pd7 nanoalloys provides carbon source to favor the production of ethylene, endowing the Cu3Pd7 nanoalloys with the highest selectivity for ethylene among these ultrafine CuPd nanoalloys.Dong Chen Yanlei Wang Danye Liu Hui Liu Cheng Qian Hongyan He Jun Yang 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,3:3
Effects of processing parameters and addition of flame-retardant into moulding sand on the microstructure and fluidity of sand-cast magnesium alloy Mg-10Gd-3Y-0.5Zr显示文摘In this study, the effects of processing parameters(such as pouring temperature and mould pre-heating temperature) and flame-retardant content on the microstructure and fluidity of sand-cast magnesium(Mg) alloy Mg-10Gd-3Y-0.5Zr(GW103K) were systematically investigated. It was found that the increase of pouring temperature leads to coarsened microstructure and decreased fluidity of sand-cast GW103 K alloy. Increase of mould pre-heating temperature incurs coarsening of as-cast microstructure and increase of fluidity. The addition of flame-retardant into moulding sand has a negligible influence on the microstructure of sand-cast GW103 K alloy. With the increase in flame-retardant content, fluidity of the alloy initially increases and then decreases. The optimized process parameters and flameretardant addition were obtained to be pouring temperature of 750?C, mould temperature of 110?C, and flame-retardant addition of 1%. The fire retardant mechanism of moulding sand was determined.Yanlei Li Guohua Wu Antao Chen Wencai Liu Yingxin Wang Liang Zhang 2017Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,6:2

Human iPS Cells Loaded with MnO2-Based Nanoprobes for Photodynamic and Simultaneous Enhanced Immunotherapy Against Cancer显示文摘How to trigger strong anti-tumor immune responses has become a focus for tumor therapy. Here,we report the human-induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSs)to deliver MnO2@Ce6 nanoprobes into tumors for simultaneous photodynamic therapy(PDT)and enhanced immunotherapy.Ce6 photosensitizer was attached on manganese dioxide(MnO2)nanoparticles,and resultant MnO2@Ce6 nanoprobes were delivered into mitomycin-treated iPSs to form iPS-MnO2@Ce6 nanoprobes. The iPS-MnO2@Ce6 actively targeted in vivo tumors, the acidic microenvironment triggered interaction between MnO2 and H2O2,released large quantities of oxygen, alleviated hypoxia in tumor.Upon PDT,singlet oxygen formed, broken iPSs released tumor-shared antigens, which evoked an intensive innate and adaptive immune response against the tumor, improving dendritic cells matured, effector T cells, and natural killer cells were activated.Meanwhile, regulatory T cells were reduced, and then the immune response induced by iPS-MnO2@Ce6 was markedly stronger than the immune reaction induced by MnO2@Ce6(P<0.05).The iPS-MnO2@Ce6 markedly inhibited tumor growth and metastasis and reduced mortality in mice models with tumor.Human iPS s loaded with MnO2-based nanoprobes are a promising strategy for simultaneous PDT and enhanced immunotherapy against tumor and own clinical translational prospect.Yanlei Liu Jingxing Yang Bin Liu Wen Cao Jingpu Zhang Yuming Yang Lijun Ma Jesus Martinez de la Fuente Jie Song Jian Ni Chunfu Zhang Daxiang Cui 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10:2
