The Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer: system and applications显示文摘The Sunway Taihu Light supercomputer is the world's first system with a peak performance greater than 100 PFlops. In this paper, we provide a detailed introduction to the Taihu Light system. In contrast with other existing heterogeneous supercomputers, which include both CPU processors and PCIe-connected many-core accelerators(NVIDIA GPU or Intel Xeon Phi), the computing power of Taihu Light is provided by a homegrown many-core SW26010 CPU that includes both the management processing elements(MPEs)and computing processing elements(CPEs) in one chip. With 260 processing elements in one CPU, a single SW26010 provides a peak performance of over three TFlops. To alleviate the memory bandwidth bottleneck in most applications, each CPE comes with a scratch pad memory, which serves as a user-controlled cache. To support the parallelization of programs on the new many-core architecture, in addition to the basic C/C++and Fortran compilers, the system provides a customized Sunway Open ACC tool that supports the Open ACC2.0 syntax. This paper also reports our preliminary efforts on developing and optimizing applications on the Taihu Light system, focusing on key application domains, such as earth system modeling, ocean surface wave modeling, atomistic simulation, and phase-field simulation.Haohuan FU Junfeng LIAO Jinzhe YANG Lanning WANG Zhenya SONG Xiaomeng HUANG Chao YANG Wei XUE Fangfang LIU Fangli QIAO Wei ZHAO Xunqiang YIN Chaofeng HOU Chenglong ZHANG Wei GE Jian ZHANG Yangang WANG Chunbo ZHOU Guangwen YANG 2016Science China(Information Sciences)2016,59,7:45
Restoring the Treg cell to Th17 cell ratio may alleviate HBV-related acute-on-chronic liver failure显示文摘AIM: To investigate the role of T helper 17 cells (Th17) and regulatory T cells (Treg) in hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF).METHODS: We enrolled 79 patients with HBV infection into the study, 50 patients with HBV-related ACLF and 29 patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), from the First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College from January 2009 to June 2012. The ACLF patients were diagnosed according to the criteria recommended by The 19th Conference of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver in 2009. Twenty healthy individuals with a similar gender and age structures to the two patient groups were also included as the normal controls (NC). Of the 50 ACLF patients, 28 were subsequently classified as non-survivors: 19 patients died from multiorgan failure, 3 underwent liver transplantation, and 6 discontinued therapy during follow-up because of financial reasons. The remaining 22 ACLF patients whose liver and anticoagulation function recovered to nearly normal levels within the next 6 mo were classified as survivors. The number of circulating Treg and Th17 cells was determined upon diagnosis and during the 8th week of follow-up through flow cytometry. RESULTS: The percentage of circulating Treg cells in the ACLF group was significantly higher than that in the CHB group (5.50% ± 1.15% vs 3.30% ± 1.13%, P < 0.01). The percentages of circulating Th17 cells in the ACLF and the CHB groups were significantly higher than that in the NC group (6.32% ± 2.22% vs 1.56% ± 0.44%, P < 0.01; 3.53% ± 1.65% vs 1.56% ± 0.44%, P < 0.01). No significant difference in Treg cell to Th17 cell ratio was observed between the ACLF group and the CHB group (0.98 ± 0.44 vs 1.12 ± 0.64, P = 0.991), whereas those in the two HBV infection groups were significantly lower than that in the NC group (1.85 ± 1.22; both P < 0.01). The percentage of Treg cells in the survivors during the 8th week of follow-up was significantly lower than that during peak ACLF severity [total bilirubin (TBIL) peak] (3.45% ± 0.97% vs 5.18% ± 1.02%, P < 0.01). The percentage of Th17 cells in survivors during the 8th week of follow-up was significantly lower than that during the peak TBIL (2.89% ±0.60% vs 5.24% ± 1.46%; P < 0.01). The Treg cell to Th17 cell ratio during the 8 th week of follow-up was significantly higher than that during the TBIL peak (1.22 ± 0.36 vs 1.10 ± 0.54; P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Restoring the Treg cell to Th17 cell ratio during the follow-up phase of ACLF could maintain the immune system at a steady state, which favours good prognosis.Ying-Hua Niu Dong-Lin Yin Hong-Li Liu Rui-Tian Yi Yu-Cong Yang Hong-An Xue Tian-Yan Chen Shu-Lin Zhang Shu-Mei Lin Ying-Ren Zhao 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,26:36
The Status and Associated Factors of Successful Aging among Older Adults Residing in Longevity Areas in China显示文摘Objective This study aims to assess the status of successful aging(SA) in longevity areas in China and explore multiple factors associated with SA among the young-old and oldest-old. Methods A total of 2296 elderly people aged 65 and older were interviewed in the longevity areas sub-sample of the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS) in 2012. Baseline assessments included a researcher-administered questionnaire, physical examination, and laboratory testing. A logistic regression model was used to identify factors associated with SA. Results The prevalence of SA was 38.81% in the CLHLS in 2012. There were significant differences between ages groups, with SA compromising 56.85% among ≥65 years group and 20.31% among ≥100 years group(χtrend2=126.73, P<0.01). The prevalence of SA among females was 33.59%, which was significantly lower than that among males(45.58%)(χ2gender=33.65, P<0.05). In the regression analysis, having anemia(OR=0.744, 95% CI: 0.609-0.910), poor lifestyle(OR=0.697, 95% CI: 0.568-0.854), poor sleep quality(OR=0.558, 95% CI: 0.456-0.682), and central obesity(OR=0.684, 95% CI: 0.556-0.841) were the main factors associated with SA. The promoting SA rate decreased as age increased, and the group of 65-79 years had higher odds than the other age group. Conclusion Preventing central obesity, improving sleep quality and promoting healthy lifestyle may contribute to achieve SA among the elderly.SHI Wen Hui ZHANG Hong Yan ZHANG Juan LYU Yue Bin Melanie Sereny Brasher YIN Zhao Xue LUO Jie Si HU Dong Sheng FEN Lei SHI Xiao Ming 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,5:10
Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear. Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks. Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease, while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes.MA Yan ZHU Dong Shan CHEN Ren Bo SHI Nan Nan LIU Si Hong FAN Yi Pin WU Gui Hui YANG Pu Ye BAI Jiang Feng CHEN Hong CHEN Li Ying FENG Qiao GUO Tuan Mao HOU Yong HU Gui Fen HU Xiao Mei HU Yun Hong HUANG Jin HUANG Qiu Hua HUANG Shao Zhen JI Liang JIN Hai Hao LEI Xiao LI Chun Yan LI Min Qing LI Qun Tang LI Xian Yong LIU Hong De LIU Jin Ping LIU Zhang MA Yu Ting MAO Ya MO Liu Fen NA Hui WANG Jing Wei SONG Fang Li SUN Sheng WANG Dong Ting WANG Ming Xuan WANG Xiao Yan WANG Yin Zhen WANG Yu Dong WU Wei WU Lan Ping XIAO Yan Hua XIE Hai Jun XU Hong Ming XU Shou Fang XUE Rui Xia YANG Chun YANG Kai Jun YUAN Sheng Li ZHANG Gong Qi ZHANG Jin Bo ZHANG Lin Song ZHAO Shu Sen ZHAO Wan Ying ZHENG Kai ZHOU Ying Chun ZHU Jun Teng ZHU Tian Qing ZHANG Hua Min WANG Yan Ping WANG Yong Yan 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,12:8
Distinctive effects of CD34- and CD133-specific antibody-coated stents on re-endothelialization and in-stent restenosis at the early phase of vascular injury显示文摘It is not clear what effects of CD34-and CD133-specific antibody-coated stents have on reendothelialization and in-stent restenosis(ISR)at the early phase of vascular injury. This study aims at determining the capabilities of different coatings on stents(e.g.gelatin,anti-CD133 and anti-CD34 antibodies)to promote adhesion and proliferation of endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs).The in vitro study revealed that the adhesion force enabled the EPCs coated on glass slides to withstand flow-induced shear stress,so that allowing for the growth of the cells on the slides for 48 h.The in vivo experiment using a rabbit model in which the coated stents with different substrates were implanted showed that anti-CD34 and anti-CD133 antibody-coated stents markedly reduced the intima area and restenosis than bare mental stents(BMS)and gelatin-coated stents.Compared with the anti-CD34 antibody-coated stents, the time of cells adhesion was longer and earlier present in the anti-CD133 antibody-coated stents and anti-CD133 antibody-coated stents have superiority in re-endothelialization and inhibition of ISR.In conclusion, this study demonstrated that anti-CD133 antibody as a stent coating for capturing EPCs is better than anti-CD34 antibody in promoting endothelialization and reducing ISR.Xue Wu Tieying Yin Jie Tian Chaojun Tang Junli Huang Yinping Zhao Xiaojuan Zhang Xiaoyan Deng Yubo Fan Donghong Yu Guixue Wang 2015Regenerative Biomaterials2015,2,2:7

Au core-PtAu alloy shell nanowires for formic acid electrolysis显示文摘Inefficient electrocatalysts and high-power consumption are two thorny problems for electrochemical hydrogen(H2)production from acidic water electrolysis.Herein we report the one-pot precise synthesis of ultrafine Au core-Pt Au alloy shell nanowires(Au@PtxAu UFNWs).Among them,Au@Pt_(0.077) Au UFNWs exhibit the best performance for formic acid oxidation reaction(FAOR)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),which only require applied potentials of 0.29 V and-22.6 m V to achieve a current density of 10 m A cm^(-2),respectively.The corresponding formic acid electrolyzer realizes the electrochemical H2 production at a voltage of only 0.51 V with 10 m A cm^(-2) current density.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the Au-riched Pt Au alloy structure can facilitates the direct oxidation pathway of FAOR and consequently elevates the FAOR activity of Au@Pt_(0.077) Au UFNWs.This work provides meaningful insights into the electrochemical H_(2) production from both the construction of advanced bifunctional electrocatalysts and the replacement of OER.Qi Xue Xin-Yu Bai Yue Zhao Ya-Nan Li Tian-Jiao Wang Hui-Ying Sun Fu-Min Li Pei Chen Pujun Jin Shi-Bin Yin Yu Chen 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:5
Evaluation of Thermal Hazard of Composite Modified Double-base Propellant by Microcalorimetery Method显示文摘<正>The thermal decomposition behavior of composite modified double-base(CMDB) propellant containing cyclotrimethylene trinitramine(RDX) was studied via a Calvet microcalorimeter at five different heating rates. The activation energy(E) and the pre-exponential factor(A) of two obvious exothermic processes were obtained by Kissinger's method and Ozawa's method. The entropy of activation(△A~≠),the enthalpy of activation(△H~≠),and the free energy of activation(△G~≠) of the first stage were calculated. To evaluate the thermal hazard of the RDX-CMDB propellant, the critical temperature of thermal explosion(T_b),the self acceleration decomposition temperature(T_(SADT)),the adiabatic decomposition temperature increment(△T_(ad)) and the time-to-explosion of adiabatic system(t) were presented as 145.3℃,138.15℃,1634 K and 583.71 s(n=0) and 586.28 s(n=1),respectively.XUE Liang ZHAO Feng-qi XING Xiao-ling XU Si-yu PEI Qing GAO Yin HU Rong-zu 2010Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2010,26,4:4
Towards a global One Health index: a potential assessment tool for One Health performance显示文摘Background:A One Health approach has been increasingly mainstreamed by the international community, as it provides for holistic thinking in recognizing the close links and inter-dependence of the health of humans, animals and the environment. However, the dearth of real-world evidence has hampered application of a One Health approach in shaping policies and practice. This study proposes the development of a potential evaluation tool for One Health performance, in order to contribute to the scientific measurement of One Health approach and the identification of gaps where One Health capacity building is most urgently needed. Methods:We describe five steps towards a global One Health index (GOHI), including (i) framework formulation;(ii) indicator selection;(iii) database building;(iv) weight determination;and (v) GOHI scores calculation. A cell-like framework for GOHI is proposed, which comprises an external drivers index (EDI), an intrinsic drivers index (IDI) and a core drivers index (CDI). We construct the indicator scheme for GOHI based on this framework after multiple rounds of panel discussions with our expert advisory committee. A fuzzy analytical hierarchy process is adopted to determine the weights for each of the indicators. Results:The weighted indicator scheme of GOHI comprises three first-level indicators, 13 second-level indicators, and 57 third-level indicators. According to the pilot analysis based on the data from more than 200 countries/territories the GOHI scores overall are far from ideal (the highest score of 65.0 out of a maximum score of 100), and we found considerable variations among different countries/territories (31.8–65.0). The results from the pilot analysis are consistent with the results from a literature review, which suggests that a GOHI as a potential tool for the assessment of One Health performance might be feasible. Conclusions:GOHI—subject to rigorous validation—would represent the world’s first evaluation tool that constructs the conceptual framework from a holistic perspective of One Health. Future application of GOHI might promote a common understanding of a strong One Health approach and provide reference for promoting effective measures to strengthen One Health capacity building. With further adaptations under various scenarios, GOHI, along with its technical protocols and databases, will be updated regularly to address current technical limitations, and capture new knowledge.Xiao-Xi Zhang Jing-Shu Liu Le-Fei Han Shang Xia Shi-Zhu Li Odel YLi Kokouvi Kassegne Min Li Kun Yin Qin-Qin Hu Le-Shan Xiu Yong-Zhang Zhu Liang-Yu Huang Xiang-Cheng Wang Yi Zhang Han-Qing Zhao Jing-Xian Yin Tian-Ge Jiang Qin Li Si-Wei Fei Si-Yu Gu Fu-Min Chen Nan Zhou Zi-Le Cheng Yi Xie Hui-Min Li Jin Chen Zhao-Yu Guo Jia-Xin Feng Lin Ai Jing-Bo Xue Qian Ye Liz Grant Jun-Xia Song Geoff Simm Jürg Utzinger Xiao-Kui Guo Xiao-Nong Zhou 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,3:3
First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. We for the first time extended the limit to the m_(χ)<6 GeV/c^(2) region.Yi Wang Zhi Zeng Qian Yue LiTao Yang KeJun Kang YuanJing Li Mehment Agartioglu HaiPeng An JianPing Chang JingHan Chen YunHua Chen JianPing Cheng Cheng Yi Chiang WenHan Dai Zhi Deng ChangHao Fang XinPing Geng Hui Gong QiuJu Guo XuYuan Guo HongJian He Li He ShengMing He JinWei Hu TuChen Huang HanXiong Huang HaiTao Jia LiPing Jia Xi Jiang HauBin Li JianMin Li Jin Li MingXuan Li RenMingJie Li Xia Li YuLan Li Bin Liao FongKay Lin ShinTed Lin ShuKui Liu YanDong Liu Yu Liu YuanYuan Liu ZhongZhi Liu Hao Ma YuCai Mao QiYuan Nie JinHua Ning Hui Pan NingChun Qi Jie Ren XiChao Ruan ChangSong Shang Vivek Sharma Ze She Lakhwinder Singh Monoj Kumar Singh TianXi Sun ChangJian Tang WeiYou Tang Yang Tian GuangFu Wang Li Wang Qing Wang Yu Chen Wang YunXiang Wang Zhen Wang Henry Tsz-King Wong ShiYong Wu YuCheng Wu HaoYang Xing Yin Xu Tao Xue YuLu Yan Nan Yi ChunXu Yu HaiJun Yu JianFeng Yue Ming Zeng BingTao Zhang Lei Zhang FengShou Zhang ZhenYu Zhang KangKang Zhao MingGang Zhao JiFang Zhou ZuYing Zhou JingJun Zhu 2021Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,8:3
A wireless, implantable optoelectrochemical probe for optogenetic stimulation and dopamine detection显示文摘Physical and chemical technologies have been continuously progressing advances in neuroscience research. The development of research tools for closed-loop control and monitoring neural activities in behaving animals is highly desirable. In this paper,we introduce a wirelessly operated, miniaturized microprobe system for optical interrogation and neurochemical sensing in the deep brain.Via epitaxial liftoff and transfer printing, microscale light-emitting diodes(micro-LEDs)as light sources and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate(PEDOT:PSS)-coated diamond films as electrochemical sensors are vertically assembled to form implantable optoelectrochemical probes for real-time optogenetic stimulation and dopamine detection capabilities.A customized, lightweight circuit module is employed for untethered, remote signal control, and data acquisition. After the probe is injected into the ventral tegmental area(VTA)of freely behaving mice,in vivo experiments clearly demonstrate the utilities of the multifunctional optoelectrochemical microprobe system for optogenetic interference of place preferences and detection of dopamine release. The presented options for material and device integrations provide a practical route to simultaneous optical control and electrochemical sensing of complex nervous systems.Changbo Liu Yu Zhao Xue Cai Yang Xie Taoyi Wang Dali Cheng Lizhu Li Rongfeng Li Yuping Deng He Ding Guoqing Lv Guanlei Zhao Lei Liu Guisheng Zou Meixin Feng Qian Sun Lan Yin Xing Sheng 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:3
Structural variation during dog domestication: insights from gray wolf and dhole genomes显示文摘Several processes like phenotypic evolution, disease susceptibility and environmental adaptations, which fashion the domestication of animals, are largely attributable to structural variations(SVs) in the genome. Here, we present high-quality draft genomes of the gray wolf(Canis lupus) and dhole(Cuon alpinus) with scaffold N50 of 6.04 Mb and 3.96 Mb, respectively. Sequence alignment comprising genomes of three canid species reveals SVs specific to the dog, particularly 16 315 insertions, 2565 deletions, 443 repeats, 16 inversions and 15 translocations. Functional annotation of the dog SVs associated with genes indicates their enrichments in energy metabolisms, neurological processes and immune systems. Interestingly, we identify and verify at population level an insertion fully covering a copy of the AKR1 B1(Aldo-Keto Reductase Family 1 Member B) transcript. Transcriptome analysis reveals a high level of expression of the new AKR1 B1 copy in the small intestine and liver, implying an increase in de novo fatty acid synthesis and antioxidant ability in dog compared to gray wolf, likely in response to dietary shifts during the agricultural revolution. For the first time, we report a comprehensive analysis of the evolutionary dynamics of SVs during the domestication step of dogs. Our findings demonstrate that retroposition can birth new genes to facilitate domestication, and affirm the importance of large-scale genomic variants in domestication studies.Guo-Dong Wang Xiu-Juan Shao Bing Bai Junlong Wang Xiaobo Wang Xue Cao Yan-Hu Liu Xuan Wang Ting-Ting Yin Shao-Jie Zhang Yan Lu Zechong Wang Lu Wang Wenming Zhao Bing Zhang Jue Ruan Ya-Ping Zhang 2019National Science Review2019,6,1:3

Association of CDKN2B-AS1 Polymorphisms with Premature Triple-vessel Coronary Disease and Their Sex Specificity in the Chinese Population显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to establish whether cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2B antisense RNA 1(CDKN2 B-AS1) gene polymorphisms are associated with premature triple-vessel disease(PTVD). Methods Nine single-nucleotide polymorphisms(rs1063192, rs10757274, rs1333042, rs1333049, rs2285327, rs3217986, rs3217992, rs4977574, and rs9632884) were genotyped in 884 PTVD patients and 907 control subjects(males ≤ 50 years old and females ≤ 60 years old) using the improved multiplex ligase detection reaction method. Results The allele frequencies of rs10757274 G, rs1333049 C, rs4977574 G(all P < 0.001), and rs3217986 G(P = 0.040) were significantly higher in the PTVD group than in the control group, but those of rs1063192 A, rs1333042 G, and rs9632884 C(all P < 0.001) were significantly lower in the former than in the latter. Logistic regression analysis revealed that homozygote AA of rs1333042 is associated with decreased risk for PTVD(OR = 0.42, 95% CI: 0.22-0.82, P = 0.011). In addition, the allele frequencies observed differed between genders. The G allele of rs3217986 was associated with increased risk for PTVD in male patients only(OR = 2.94, 95% CI: 1.27-6.80, P = 0.012) in the dominant model, and no positively mutated allele was found in female patients. Conclusion Polymorphisms of the CDKN2 B-AS1 gene are associated with the incidence of PTVD in the Chinese population. Furthermore, the frequencies of mutated alleles differed between genders.XU Jing Jing JIANG Lin XU Lian Jun GAO Zhan ZHAO Xue Yan ZHANG Yin SONG Ying LIU Ru SUN Kai GAO Run Lin XU Bo SONG Lei YUAN Jin Qing 2018Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2018,31,11:3
CsPb(I_(x)Br_(1-x))_(3) solar cells显示文摘Owing to its nice performance, low cost, and simple solution-processing, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cell(PSC) becomes a promising candidate for next-generation high-efficiency solar cells. The power conversion efficiency(PCE) has boosted from 3.8% to 25.2% over the past ten years. Despite the rapid progress in PCE, the device stability is a key issue that impedes the commercialization of PSCs. Recently, all-inorganic cesium lead halide perovskites have attracted much attention due to their better stability compared with their organic-inorganic counterpart. In this progress report, we summarize the properties of CsPb(IxBr1-x)3 and their applications in solar cells. The current challenges and corresponding solutions are discussed. 18Abdominal Obesity and Its Attribution to All-cause Mortality in the General Population with 14 Years Follow-up:Findings from Shanxi Cohort in China显示文摘Objective This study aimed to assess the association of waist circumference(WC)with all-cause mortality among Chinese adults. Methods The baseline data were from Shanxi Province of 2002 China Nutrition and Health Survey. The death investigation and follow-up visit were conducted from December 2015 to March 2016.The visits covered up to 5,360 of 7,007 participants, representing a response rate of 76.5%.The Cox regression model and floating absolute risk were used to estimate hazard ratio and 95%floating CI of death by gender and age groups(≥60 and<60 years old).Sensitivity analysis was performed by excluding current smokers;participants with stroke, hypertension, and diabetes;participants who accidentally died;and participants who died during the first 2 years of follow-up.Results This study followed 67,129 person-years for 12.5 years on average, including 615 deaths. The mortality density was 916 per 100,000 person-years.Low WC was associated with all-cause mortality among men.Multifactor-adjusted hazard ratios(HR)were 1.60(1.35–1.90)for WC<75.0 cm and 1.40(1.11–1.76)for WC ranging from 75.0 cm to 79.9 cm.Low WC(<70.0 cm and 70.0–74.9 cm)and high WC(≥95.0 cm)groups had a high risk of mortality among women. The adjusted HRs of death were 1.43(1.11–1.83),1.39(1.05–1.84),and 1.91(1.13–3.22).Conclusion WC was an important predictor of death independent of body mass index(BMI).WC should be used as a simple rapid screening and predictive indicator of the risk of death.ZHAI Yi REN Ze Ping ZHANG Mei ZHANG Jian JIANG Yong MI Sheng Quan WANG Zhuo Qun ZHAO Yan Fang SONG Peng Kun YIN Zhao Xue ZHAO Wen Hua 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,4:2

Combustion synthesis and characterizations of Sm2O3 doped zirconolite-rich waste forms with CuO as oxidant显示文摘Zirconolite is one of the most important matrix materials for nuclear waste immobilization. In this study,Sm was employed as the surrogate of trivalent actinides.Sm-doped zirconolite-rich waste forms were readily prepared by combustion synthesis(CS)using CuO as the oxidant. Two different schemes with or without Al2O3 as the charge compensator were carried out simultaneously. The results demonstrate that Al2O3 addition results in complex phase composition. On the other hand, the samples without Al2O3 addition show desirable products of zirconolite and pyrochlore. The EDX analysis shows that Sm is concurrently incorporated into the Ca and Zr sites of zirconolite, which transforms to pyrochlore structure with high Sm2O3 contents. The aqueous durability of representative Sm-doped sample(Sm-0.6)was investigated. The 42 days normalized leaching rate of Sm is as low as 6.41×10-7 g/(m2 d),which exhibits high durability of Sm-doped sample.Kuibao Zhang Dan Yin Zongsheng He Jiali Xue Wenwen Zhao Haibin Zhang 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,12:2
