| 1 | Effects of Citric Acid on Hydration Process and Mechanical Properties of Thermal Decomposed Magnesium Oxychloride Cement显示文摘In order to make full use of salt lake magnesium resources and improve the strength of the thermal decomposed magnesium oxychloride cement(TDMOC), the effects of citric acid on the hydration process and mechanical properties of TDMOC was studied. The hydration heat release at initial 24 h and strengths at 3, 7, and 28 days of TDMOC specimens were conducted. The hydration products and paste microstructure were analyzed by XRD, FT-IR and SEM, respectively. The results showed that citric acid can not only reduce the 24 h hydration heat release and delay the occurring time of second peak of TDMOC, but also produce more 5Mg(OH)2·MgCl 2·8H2O and less Mg(OH)2 in hydration process of TDMOC. More perfect and slender crystals were observed in the microstructure of the TDMOC pastes with citric acid. The results demonstrated that citric acid as an additive of TDMOC can decrease the hydration heat release and increase the compressive strength and flexural strength of TDMOC. | 2 | Bruceine D inhibits HIF-1α-mediated glucose metabolism in hepatocellular carcinoma by blocking ICAT/β-catenin interaction显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths,characterized by highly hypoxic tumor microenvironment.Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)is a major regulator involved in cellular response to changes of oxygen levels,supporting the adaptation of tumor cells to hypoxia.Bruceine D(BD)is an isolated natural quassinoid with multiple anti-cancer effects.Here,we identified BD could significantly inhibit the HIF-1α expression and its subsequently mediated HCC cell metabolism.Using biophysical proteomics approaches,we identified inhibitor of β-catenin and T-cell factor(ICAT)as the functional target of BD.By targeting ICAT,BD disrupted the interaction of bcatenin and ICAT,and promoted β-catenin degradation,which in turn induced the decrease of HIF-1α expression.Furthermore,BD could inhibit HCC cells proliferation and tumor growth in vivo,and knockdown of ICAT substantially increased resistance to BD treatment in vitro.Our data highlight the potential of BD as a modulator of β-catenin/HIF-1α axis mediated HCC metabolism. | Rui Huang Lijun Zhang Jinmei Jin Yudong Zhou Hongwei Zhang Chao Lv Dong Lu Ye Wu Hong Zhang Sanhong Liu Hongzhuan Chen Xin Luan Weidong Zhang | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,11: | 4 |

| 4 | Stable isotope geochemical characteristics of dissolved inorganic carbon in the Jiulong River Estuary, Fujian Province, China显示文摘The isotopic composition of dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC) in estuarine environments has been studied for its significant role in determining the isotopic composition of inorganic/organic matter and its applications to the study of various natural processes. | 5 | High-power linear-polarization burst-mode all-fibre laser and generation of frequency-adjustable microwave signal显示文摘Narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency is demonstrated by illuminating a photoconductive semiconductor switch(PCSS)with a burst-mode fibre laser.The whole system is composed of a high-power linearly polarized burst-mode pulsed fibre laser and a linear-state PCSS.To obtain a high-performance microwave signal,a desired envelope of burst is necessary and a pulse pre-compensation technique is adopted to avoid envelope distortion induced by the gain-saturation effect.Resulting from the technique,homogenous peak power distribution in each burst is ensured.The maximum energy of the laser burst pulse reaches 200μJ with a burst duration of 100 ns at the average power of 10 W,corresponding to a peak power of 4 kW.When the PCSS is illuminated by the burst-mode fibre laser,narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency(0.80-1.12 GHz)is obtained with a power up to 300 W.To the best of the authors’knowledge,it is the first demonstration of frequency-tuneable narrowband microwave generation based on a fibre laser.The high-power burst-mode fibre laser reported here has great potential for generating high-power arbitrary microwave signals for a great deal of applicable demands such as smart adaptive radar and intelligent high-power microwave systems. | Xuan He Bin Zhang Shuailin Liu Jinmei Yao Qilin Wu Yuxin Zhao Tao Xun Linyong Yang Jing Hou | 2021 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2: | 2 |

| 15 | Calls of the Large Odorous Frog(Odorrana graminea)Show Nonlinear and Individual Characteristics显示文摘Male large odorous frogs(Odorrana graminea)have been shown to have a rich vocal repertoire and their calls contain harmonics that extend into the ultrasonic range,much like calls of male O.tormota,a sympatric species.Whereas vocalizations of male O.tormota exhibit nonlinear characteristics and contain individual signatures,it is unclear whether or not those of O.graminea do.We carried out an extensive study of the vocalizations of male O.graminea with the goal of investigating whether they:(1)contained nonlinear phenomena(NLP),(2)carried individual signatures.We recorded and analyzed 1770 vocal calls from nine males.Their calls were classifiable into two distinct categories(one-note calls and multi-note calls).Of these,one-note complex/steep-frequency modulation call was the most abundant call-type.These calls showed diverse frequency modulation patterns,and abundant presence of NLP.Various basic spectral and temporal pa ra meters of such calls were individually distinct.Kruskal-Wallis Analysis of Rank test showed that the calls from individual males differed significantly.Subsequent discriminant function analysis(DFA)showed that 54.7%of the calls could be correctly assigned to individual.These results suggested that male O.graminea might be able to discriminate neighboring frogs from strangers acoustically.However,further research is necessary to demonstrate this capacity behaviorally. | Fang ZHANG Yatao WU Jinmei WANG Jiahui BAO | 2021 | Asian Herpetological Research2021,12,1: | 0 |

| 17 | Effect of temperature on the leaching of heavy metals from nickel mine tailings in the arctic area,Norway显示文摘The leaching of heavy metals from tailings deposit due to the oxidation of sulphidic tailings and formation of acidic leachate is considered a high risk to the surrounding environment.Temperature plays an important role in the leaching of heavy metals from tailings in changing acid-based environment,especially in the Arctic area.To investigate how the temperature variation affected metal release from tailings in the Arctic area,a series of column leaching experiments was conducted under four temperature situations(5°C,10°C,14°C and 18°C).Physicochemical properties,Fe,Zn,Ni and Mn concentrations of leachates at each cycle were measured,and multivariate statistical analysis was applied to research the effect of temperature on heavy metals leaching from tailings in the Arctic area.The results showed that higher temperatures encouraged tailings to oxidation and sulfuration of and promoted heavy metal release from the tailings through precipitation and erosion.Ni,Zn and Mn have similar releasing resources from tailings and positive correlation in the leaching activity.Rising temperature accelerated Fe leaching;Fe leaching promoted leaching of the other metals,especially of Mn.Appropriately increase temperature will accelerate oxidization and sulfidization of the tailings,promote acid generation and increase TDS and,finally,promote the release of heavy metals.Climate change,with rising temperatures increasing the risk of heavy metals leaching from the tailings,should be given greater attention.Keeping tailings away from the appropriate temperature and in a higher alkalinity is a good method to control the leaching of heavy metals from tailings. | Shuai Fu Jinmei Lu Ingar Walder Daishe Wu | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,2: | 0 |
