1Kinetic investigation of in situ growth of CdMoO_4 nano-octahedra显示文摘CdMoO4 nano-octahedra were grown in situ at room temperature by reverse-microemulsion.Energy evolution from this growth process was monitored using microcalorimetry.The microcalorimetric heat flow (MCHF) curve showed a characteristic endothermic peak for the initial reaction,and double discontinuous exothermic peaks for the subsequent crystal growth.Combined with complementary characterization techniques,the evolution of morphology and size of the CdMoO4 nano-octahedra were correlated with the MCHF peaks.Calculations based on the microcalorimetric results at 298.15 K provided rate constants of 7.56×10–5 s–1 for the reaction and nucleation process and 1.59×10–4 s–1 for the crystallization process.LI YanFen JIANG JunYing FAN GaoChao MA YuJie HUANG ZaiYin 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,3:3

7Optimization of the in-situ growth conditions based on a novel photo-microcalorimeter for the sustainable cultivation of photosynthetic microorganisms显示文摘Despite the great potential of photosynthetic microbes in the production of renewable fuels,value-adding chemicals,and water treatment,etc.,commercial utilization of them is significantly hindered by the lack of techniques to accurately monitor the thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics of the in-situ growth of microbes under controlled light illumination for optimal cultivation.Herein,we demonstrated that a newly developed highly sensitive photo-microcalorimetric system successfully captured the impacts of the light wavelength and strength on the thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of the in-situ growth of Rhodopseudomonas palustris,a representative photosynthetic microorganism.To our best knowledge,this is the first time that highly precise microcalorimetry is employed to monitor exam the in-situ growth of photosynthetic microorganisms under controllable photo illumination.We envision this technique can help for the optimization of the growth conditions of photosynthetic microorganisms for scale-up applications.YANJUAN LIAO DONGLING YU XIAOFANG QIN JINMEI WU HUI WEI HUI LI XIANGYING MA ZAIYIN HUANG 2020BIOCELL2020,44,4:0
8Thermodynamic functions and growth constants of web-like ZnO nanostructures显示文摘Web-like ZnO nanostructures have been successfully synthesized using the potassium nitrate route at various temperatures to simplify conventional preparation methods. The structures and morphologies of the as-prepared products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The results showed that the reaction temperature was an important parameter, and that there was a feedback effect between nano-structure and growth parameters, combined with in situ micro-calorimetry, the reaction rate constants of the three systems were found to have been: 2.43×10-6, 2.70×10-8 and 3.12×10-7s-1 respectively. 9Standard molar enthalpy of formation of uniform CdMoO_4 nano-octahedra显示文摘Controllable synthesis of uniform and single-crystalline CdMoO4 nano-octahedra has been successfully realized at large-scale by a facile reverse-microemulsion route at room temperature. The structures, compositions and morphologies of the as-prepared products were characterized in detail by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), respectively. According to the thermochemical cycle, the relationship between the standard molar enthalpy of formation of nano-CdMoO4 and bulk CdMoO4 was proposed for the first time.
