1Removal of copper ions from aqueous solution by calcium alginate immobilized kaolin显示文摘Kaolin has been widely used as an adsorbent to remove heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions.However,the lower heavy metal adsorption capacity of kaolin limits its practical application.A novel environmental friendly material,calcium alginate immobilized kaolin (kaolin/CA),was prepared using a sol-gel method.The effects of contact time,pH,adsorbent dose,and temperature on Cu 2+ adsorption by kaolin/CA were investigated.The Langmuir isotherm was used to describe the experimental adsorption,the maximum Cu 2+ adsorption capacity of the kaolin/CA reached up to 53.63 mg/g.The thermodynamic studies showed that the adsorption reaction was a spontaneous and endothermic process.Yanhui Li Bing Xia Quansheng Zhao Fuqiang Liu Pan Zhang Qiuju Du DechangWang Da Li ZonghuaWang Yanzhi Xia 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,3:14

3Low-altitude small-sized object detection using lightweight feature-enhanced convolutional neural network显示文摘Unauthorized operations referred to as“black flights”of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)pose a significant danger to public safety,and existing low-attitude object detection algorithms encounter difficulties in balancing detection precision and speed.Additionally,their accuracy is insufficient,particularly for small objects in complex environments.To solve these problems,we propose a lightweight feature-enhanced convolutional neural network able to perform detection with high precision detection for low-attitude flying objects in real time to provide guidance information to suppress black-flying UAVs.The proposed network consists of three modules.A lightweight and stable feature extraction module is used to reduce the computational load and stably extract more low-level feature,an enhanced feature processing module significantly improves the feature extraction ability of the model,and an accurate detection module integrates low-level and advanced features to improve the multiscale detection accuracy in complex environments,particularly for small objects.The proposed method achieves a detection speed of 147 frames per second(FPS)and a mean average precision(mAP)of 90.97%for a dataset composed of flying objects,indicating its potential for low-altitude object detection.Furthermore,evaluation results based on microsoft common objects in context(MS COCO)indicate that the proposed method is also applicable to object detection in general.YE Tao ZHAO Zongyang ZHANG Jun CHAI Xinghua ZHOU Fuqiang 2021Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2021,32,4:5

5Spatial Distribution and Changes of Heavy Metals of Agricultural Lands in Typical Pregrading Coast in Dongtai City,Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘According to the historical changes of coastal lines, seven soil sampling districts, from land to sea, were arranged in Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province to sample soils from surface and profile. Concentrations of seven major heavy metals (HMs), granularity, pH, organic matters and C/N of the soil samples were analyzed. Results show that concentrations of heavy metals in agricultural land present a certain spatial variance, decreasing from land to sea. Pollution assessment indicates that the agricultural soils were not polluted by HMs, but the potential pollution of Cu and Hg needs to be alerted. Different HMs accumulate in the surface and sub-surface of the soil profiles, and concentrations of Hg and Pb decrease significantly with the increment of soil depth. Concentrations of HMs exhibit a significantly negative correlation to pH, but have no significant relation with organic matters in soil. Principle component analysis show that the concentrations of HMs relate to the land use history. Concentrations of Hg, Ni and Cr in soil are closely related with land use history, and concentrations of Pb, Cu and Cr are affected by land use history as well as other factors. 6Nitrogen-doped hierarchical few-layered porous carbon for efficient electrochemical energy storage显示文摘Large surface area,high conductivity,and rich active site of carbon electrode materials are necessary characteristics for energy storage devices.However,high conductivity and high nitrogen doping of carbon electrode materials are difficult to coordinate.Here,a facile method via the carbonization of nitrogen-containing Schiff base polymer has been developed to prepare high conductivity and high nitrogen-doped hierarchical porous carbon.The organic components with a benzene ring structure in the polymer promote the formation of more sp^(2)-graphitized carbon,which is beneficial for the improvement of electrical conductivity.Nitrogen-doped hierarchical porous carbon calcined at 900℃ under the NH3 atmosphere possesses high nitrogen content of 7.48 at%,a large specific surface area of 1613.2m2/g,and high electrical conductivity of 2.7 S/cm.As electrode materials in an aqueous-based supercapacitor,nitrogen-doped hierarchical porous carbon exhibits superior specific capacitance of 385 F/g at 1 A/g as well as excellent rate performance(242 and 215 F/g at a current density of 100 and 200 A/g,respectively).In addition,the specific capacitance of electrode measured in a two-electrode system is 335 F/g at 1 A/g,and the long-term cycling stability can be achieved with more than 94%initial capacitance after 10000 cycles.The constructed symmetric supercapacitor delivers high energy density and high power density.The outstanding electrochemical performances combined with the novel and scalable synthetic approach make the nitrogen‐doped hierarchical porous carbon potential electrode material for electrochemical devices.Peng Wang Xiaohuan Qi Wei Zhao Meng Qian Hui Bi Fuqiang Huang 2021Carbon Energy2021,3,2:3
7Overexpression of Sirt6 ameliorates sleep deprivation induced-cognitive impairment by modulating glutamatergic neuron function显示文摘Sleep benefits the restoration of energy metabolism and thereby suppo rts neuronal plasticity and cognitive behaviors.Sirt6 is a NAD+-dependent protein deacetylase that has been recognized as an essential regulator of energy metabolism because it modulates various transcriptional regulators and metabolic enzymes.The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of Sirt6 on cerebral function after chronic sleep deprivation(CSD).We assigned C57BL/6J mice to control or two CSD groups and subjected them to AAV2/9-CMV-EGFP or AAV2/9-CMV-Sirt6-EGFP infection in the prelimbic cortex(PrL).We then assessed cerebral functional connectivity(FC) using resting-state functional MRI,neuron/astrocyte metabolism using a metabolic kinetics analysis;dendritic spine densities using sparse-labeling;and miniature excitato ry postsynaptic currents(mEPSCs) and action potential(AP) firing rates using whole-cell patchclamp recordings.In addition,we evaluated cognition via a comprehensive set of behavioral tests.Compared with controls,Sirt6 was significantly decreased(P<0.05) in the PrL after CSD,accompanied by cognitive deficits and decreased FC between the PrL and accumbens nucleus,piriform cortex,motor co rtex,somatosensory co rtex,olfactory tubercle,insular cortex,and cerebellum.Sirt6 ove rexpression reve rsed CSD-induced cognitive impairment and reduced FC.Our analysis of metabolic kinetics using [1-13C] glucose and [2-13C] acetate showed that CSD reduced neuronal Glu4and GABA2synthesis,which could be fully restored via forced Sirt6 expression.Furthermore,Sirt6 ove rexpression reversed CSD-induced decreases in AP firing rates as well as the frequency and amplitude of mEPSCs in PrL pyramidal neurons.These data indicate that Sirt6 can improve cognitive impairment after CSD by regulating the PrL-associated FC network,neuronal glucose metabolism,and glutamatergic neurotransmission.Thus,Sirt6 activation may have potential as a novel strategy for treating sleep disorder-related diseases.Jinpiao Zhu Chang Chen Zhen Li Xiaodong Liu Jingang He Ziyue Zhao Mengying He Binbin Nie Zili Liu Yingying Chen Kuanpin Su Xiang Li Juxiang Chen Hongbing Xiang Fuqiang Xu Kangguang Lin Zongze Zhang Jie Wang 2023Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,11:1

18Boosting xenon adsorption with record capacity in microporous carbon molecular sieves显示文摘Xenon/krypton(Xe/Kr)separation is an important task in industry,yet it remains challenging to develop adsorbents with high Xe/Kr selectivity and adsorption capacity of Xe,especially at low partial pressures.Herein,we report a series of microporous carbon molecular sieves(CMSs)for Xe/Kr separation.Those materials have ideal bimodal pore size distributions that not only provide substantial space for the accommodation of gas molecules,but also allow selective diffusion of gas molecules.Additionally,the carbon frameworks decorated with polar oxygen-containing functional groups afford higher affinity for Xe than Kr,which is proven by density functional theory(DFT)calculations and charge density difference analysis.The optimal CPVDC-700 exhibits a high selectivity of Xe/Kr and,more importantly,a record-high uptake of Xe(2.93 mmol g^(-1))at 0.2 bar and298 K,which is the highest among all the reported carbon adsorbents.Breakthrough experiments confirm the excellent performance of such CMSs for Xe/Kr separation,and the dynamic adsorption uptake of Xe and productivity of high-purity Kr are calculated to be 2.91 mmol g^(-1)and 208 m L g^(-1)(9.29 mmol g^(-1)),respectively,which also set up a new benchmark for Xe/Kr separation of carbon adsorbents.Fuqiang Chen Xinlei Huang Liu Yang Zhiguo Zhang Qiwei Yang Yiwei Yang Dan Zhao Qilong Ren Zongbi Bao 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,2:1
