1Multichannel vectorial holographic display and encryption显示文摘Since its invention,holography has emerged as a powerful tool to fully reconstruct the wavefronts of light including all the fundamental properties(amplitude,phase,polarization,wave vector,and frequency).For exploring the full capability for information storage/display and enhancing the encryption security of metasurface holograms,smart multiplexing techniques together with suitable metasurface designs are highly demanded.Here,we integrate multiple polarization manipulation channels for various spatial phase profiles into a single birefringent vectorial hologram by completely avoiding unwanted cross-talk.Multiple independent target phase profiles with quantified phase relations that can process significantly different information in different polarization states are realized within a single metasurface.For our metasurface holograms,we demonstrate high fidelity,large efficiency,broadband operation,and a total of twelve polarization channels.Such multichannel polarization multiplexing can be used for dynamic vectorial holographic display and can provide triple protection for optical security.The concept is appealing for applications of arbitrary spin to angular momentum conversion and various phase modulation/beam shaping elements.Ruizhe Zhao Basudeb Sain Qunshuo Wei Chengchun Tang Xiaowei Li Thomas Weiss Lingling Huang Yongtian Wang Thomas Zentgraf 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:15
2Direct stamping multifunctional tactile sensor for pressure and temperature sensing显示文摘Flexible and wearable sensors have broad application prospects in health monitoring and artificial intelligence.Many different single-functional sensing devices have been developed in recent years,such as pressure sensors and temperature sensors.However,it is still a great challenge to design and fabricate tactile sensors with multiple sensing functions.Herein,we propose a simple direct stamping method for the fabrication of multifunctional tactile sensors.It can detect pressure and temperature stimuli signals simultaneously.This pressure/temperature sensor possesses high sensitivity(0.67 kPa^(-1)),large linear range(0.75-5 kPa),and fast response speed(15.6 ms)in pressure sensing.It also has a high temperature sensitivity(1.41%/℃)and great linearity(0.99)for temperature sensing in the range of-30 to 30℃.All these excellent performances indicate that this pressure/temperature sensor has great potential in applications for artificial intelligence and health monitoring.Binghao Liang Bingfang Huang Junkai He Rongliang Yang Chengchun Zhao Bo-Ru Yang Anyuan Cao Zikang Tang Xuchun Gui 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1

5Theoretical study on residual infrared absorption of Ti:sapphire laser crystals显示文摘Residual infrared absorption is a key problem affecting the laser emission efficiency of Ti:sapphire crystal.In this paper,the origin of residual infrared absorption of Ti:sapphire crystal is systematically studied by using the first principles method.According to the contact conditions of O octahedron in the crystal structure of Al_(2)O_(3),four Ti^(3+)−Ti^(3+)ion pair models and three Ti^(4+)−Ti^(3+)ion pair models were defined and constructed.For what we believe is the first time,the near-infrared absorption spectra consistent with the experimental results were obtained in specific theoretical models.The electronic structures,absorption spectra,and charge distributions calculated show that the line-contact Ti^(3+)−Ti^(3+)ion pair with antiferromagnetic coupling and the facecontact Ti^(4+)−Ti^(3+)ion pair are two main contributors to the residual infrared absorption of Ti:sapphire,while some other ion pair models provide a basis to explain more complex residual infrared absorption.QIAORUI GONG CHENGCHUN ZHAO YILUN YANG QIANNAN FANG SHANMING LI MIN XU YIN HANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,6:1
6Synthesis and characterization of nanocrystalline NaTaO_3显示文摘Tantalum pentoxide reacts actively with concentrated NaOH solution under hydrothermal conditions at 180 ℃. In the reaction between NaOH solution and Ta2O5, the structure and composition of the tantalates depend on the reaction time, and the structure evolution results in a remarkable change in light absorption. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) diffused reflection spectrum were used to characterize various properties of the obtained solid products. At 180 ℃, the reaction proceeds rapidly. With the increase of time, the reflection peaks of unreacted Ta2O5 in the XRD patterns becomes weaker and weaker.
