1Dust storms and loess accumulation on the Tibetan Plateau: A case study of dust event on 4 March 2003 in Lhasa显示文摘Whether the Tibetan Plateau is a significant dust source area is of great importance, because this is re-lated to the understanding of sources, accumulation and environmental effects of dusts on the Tibetan Plateau and in the Far East-Pacific Ocean regions as well as to the evolution of coupling of the Tibetan Plateau and atmosphere-ocean- continent exchange. Synoptic dynamics and remote sensing tracing of a dust storm on 3 to 5 March, 2003 in Lhasa on South Tibet demonstrate that the Tibetan Plateau possesses all factors and conditions of generating dust storms. Accom-panied with this dust storm is a strong ascending stream on the Plateau which has raised various sizes of dust particles into different levels. The lifted coarse particles were largely fallen down and accumulated as loess on the eastern Tibetan Plateau, and the fine particles were translated by the west-erly jet and subsided in the northern Pacific Ocean. The spa-tial-temporal distribution of dust-storms between years 1961 and 2000 on the Plateau shows that dust-storms mainly occur in winter and early spring with high frequency, and the path of dust storm moves gradually from south to north, which is closely coupled with the northward moving of the westerly jet from winter to spring over the Tibetan Plateau. 4Comparative studies on histological and ultra-structure of the pituitary of different ploidy level fishes显示文摘The histological and ultra-structure of the pituitary in diploid red crucian carp(Carassius auratus red var.),triploid crucian carp and allotetraploid hybrids within and after the breeding season were comparatively studied.The result showed that there were six endocrine cell types in the pituitary of these three kinds of fishes,and there was an obvious difference in cell size among different ploidy level fishes.As for the same type of pituitary cells,the cell size was increased gradually with the in- creasing ploidy level.In the breeding season,the allotetraploid hybrids had higher proportion of go- nadotropin cells(GTH)than triploids,and the triploids had higher proportion of GTH than diploids.The results were related to the earlier sexual maturity of allotetraploid hybrids and sterility of triploid cru- cian carp.On the other hand,among the three kinds of fishes,the proportion of somatotropin(STH) cells in triploids crucian carp was the highest,whereas that in allotetraploid hybrids was the lowest. 6Cu Partitioning Behavior and Its Effect on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of 0.12C-1.33Mn-0.55Cu Q&P Steel显示文摘Cu, as an austenitic stable element, is added to steel in order to suppress the adverse effects of high content of C and Mn on welding. Based on C partitioning, Cu and Mn partitioning can further improve the stability of retained austenite in the intercritical annealing process. A sample of low carbon steel containing Cu was treated by the intercritical annealing, then quenching process(I&Q). Subsequently, another sample was treated by the intercritical annealing, subsequent austenitizing, then quenching and partitioning process(I&Q&P). The effects of element partitioning behavior in intercritical region on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the steel were studied. The results showed that after the I&Q process ferrite and martensite could be obtained, with C, Cu and Mn enriched in the martensite. When intercritically heated at 800 ℃, Cu and Mn were partitioned from ferrite to austenite, which was enhanced gradually as the heating time was increased. This partitioning effect was the most obvious when the sample was heated at 800 ℃ for 40 min. At the early stage of α→γ transformation, the formation of γ was controlled by the partitioning of carbon, while at the later stage, it was mainly affected by the partitioning of Cu and Mn. After the I&Q&P process, the partitioning effect of Cu and Mn element could be retained. C was assembled in retained austenite during the quenching and partitioning process. The strength and elongation of I&Q&P steel was increased by 5 305 MPa% compared with that subjected to Q&P process. The volume fraction of retained autensite was increased from 8.5% to 11.2%. 7Efficient Location-Aware Data Placement for Data-Intensive Applications in Geo-distributed Scientific Data Centers显示文摘Recent developments in cloud computing and big data have spurred the emergence of data-intensive applications for which massive scientific datasets are stored in globally distributed scientific data centers that have a high frequency of data access by scientists worldwide. Multiple associated data items distributed in different scientific data centers may be requested for one data processing task, and data placement decisions must respect the storage capacity limits of the scientific data centers. Therefore, the optimization of data access cost in the placement of data items in globally distributed scientific data centers has become an increasingly important goal.Existing data placement approaches for geo-distributed data items are insufficient because they either cannot cope with the cost incurred by the associated data access, or they overlook storage capacity limitations, which are a very practical constraint of scientific data centers. In this paper, inspired by applications in the field of high energy physics, we propose an integer-programming-based data placement model that addresses the above challenges as a Non-deterministic Polynomial-time(NP)-hard problem. In addition we use a Lagrangian relaxation based heuristics algorithm to obtain ideal data placement solutions. 8Evidence for a Dirac nodal-line semimetal in SrAs_3显示文摘Dirac nodal-line semimetals with the linear bands crossing along a line or loop, represent a new topological state of matter. Here, by carrying out magnetotransport measurements and performing first-principle calculations, we demonstrate that such a state has been realized in high-quality single crystals of SrAs_3.We obtain the nontrivial ∏ Berry phase by analysing the Shubnikov-de Haas quantum oscillations. 9Genome-wide Mapping of Cellular Protein–RNA Interactions Enabled by Chemical Crosslinking显示文摘RNA–protein interactions influence many biological processes. Identifying the binding sites of RNA-binding proteins(RBPs) remains one of the most fundamental and important challenges to the studies of such interactions. Capturing RNA and RBPs via chemical crosslinking allows stringent purification procedures that significantly remove the non-specific RNA and protein interactions. Two major types of chemical crosslinking strategies have been developed to date, i.e., UV-enabled crosslinking and enzymatic mechanism-based covalent capture. In this review, we compare such strategies and their current applications, with an emphasis on the technologies themselves rather than the biology that has been revealed. 11Expression of multidrug resistance 1 gene and C3435T genetic polymorphism in peripheral blood of patients with intractable epilepsy显示文摘BACKGROUND:Increased expression of multidrug resistance 1 (MDR1) mRNA in peripheral blood of pa-tients with intractable epilepsy is not due to epilepsy drugs,but epilepsy behavior. Monitoring MDR1 ex-pression in peripheral blood is a target for MDR1 gene evaluation. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of antiepileptic drugs and seizures on MDR expression in intrac-table epilepsy,and to analyze the genetic polymorphisms of C3435T in the MDR1 gene. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING: Factorial designs and comparative observations at the experimental cen-ter of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao Medical College,Qingdao University between October 2003 and October 2004. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 120 subjects were recruited from the epilepsy clinical department of the Affili-ated Hospital of Qingdao Medical College. Four groups (n=30) were classified according to statistical fac-torial design: intractable epilepsy,treatment response,no treatment,and normal control groups. METHODS: One-step semi-quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction technology was used to test expressions of the MDR1 gene in 120 subjects. C3435T polymorphisms in intractable epilepsy group and normal control groups were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Expression of MDR1 mRNA in the four groups,and C3435T genetic polymorphisms in intractable epilepsy and normal control groups. RESULTS: MDR1 gene expression was increased in the intractable epilepsy group,due to the factor sei-zures,but not the antiepileptic drugs. However,the interaction between the two factors was not statistically significant. Of the 30 subjects in the intractable epilepsy group,the following genotypes were exhibited: 3 (10%) C/C genotype,9 (30%) C/T genotype,and 18 (60%) T/T genotype at the site of C3435T,while 4 (13%),10 (33%),and 16 (53%) subjects were determined to express these genotypes in the normal control group,respectively. C and T allele frequency were 25% and 75% in the intractable epilepsy group,and 30% and 70% in the normal control group,respectively. However,there was no statistical difference between the groups. CONCLUSION: Results demonstrated that seizures,not antiepileptic drugs,induced MDR1 gene expres-sion in intractable epilepsy. 13Turning ZrTe_5 into a semiconductor through atom intercalation显示文摘In this study we successfully intercalated potassium(K) atoms into single ZrTe_5 crystals by liquid ammonia method, and found a semimetal-to-semiconductor transition at low temperatures in K-intercalated ZrTe_5. As the K concentration increased, the resistance anomalous peak was gradually suppressed until finally disappearing. Whilst, the corresponding Hall resistance measurements consistently showed a sign reversal. 14Fault Analysis and Innovation in Slag Discharge System of 440-t/h CFB Boiler显示文摘CFB boilers have been widely used in China in recent years with their perfect performances in coal adaptability, load variation capability and lower pollutant emission. The No.3 135-MW CFB unit in Lianzhou Power Plant is the f irst 440-t/h series CFB unit in Guangdong Province. It f inished 72-hour trial operation in Feb. 2004 and was transferred to trial operation. During the trial operation and the next commercial operation, there were some problems happened in the boiler slag discharging system, seriously affecting the safe and reliable operation and the loading capability. After innovation, these problems have been completely solved. 15Electrosynthesis of ^(15)N-labeled amino acids from ^(15)N-nitrite and ketonic acids显示文摘^(15)N isotope-labeled amino acids(^(15)N-amino acids)are crucial in the fields of biology,medicine,and chemistry.^(15)N-amino acids are conventionally synthesized through microbial fermentation and chemical reductive amination of ketonic acids methodologies,which usually require complicated procedures,high temperatures,or toxic cyanide usage,causing energy and environmental concerns.Here,we report a sustainable pathway to synthesize ^(15)N-amino acids from readily available ^(15)N-nitrite(^(15)NO_(2)-)and biomass-derived ketonic acids under ambient conditions driven by renewable electricity.A mechanistic study demonstrates a ^(15)N-nitrite→^(15)NH_(2)OH→^(15)N-pyruvate oxime→^(15)N-alanine reaction pathway for ^(15)N-alanine synthesis.Moreover,this electrochemical strategy can synthesize six ^(15)N-amino acids with 68%–95%yields.Furthermore,a ^(15)N-labeled drug of ^(15)N-tiopronin,the most commonly used hepatitis treatment drug,is fabricated using ^(15)N-glycine as the building block.Impressively,^(15)N sources can be recycled by the electrooxidation of ^(15)NH4^(+) to ^(15)NO_(2)-with a method economy.This work opens an avenue for the green synthesis of ^(15)N-labeled compounds or drugs.Yongmeng Wu Mengyang Li Tieliang Li Jinghui Zhao Ziyang Song Bin Zhang 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,6:0
16Comparison of Soil Nutritional Status between Different Muscat Hamburg Vineyards in Coastal Areas of Tianjin显示文摘To study the effects of different soil conditions on winter nutrient storage of Muscat Hamburg branches,this study compared the soil texture,bulk density,total salt content and soil K,Ca,Na,Mg and total Fe contents of Muscat Hamburg vineyards in Ninghe District and Hangu District,Binhai New Area of Tianjin and analyzed the soluble sugar and soluble protein contents in one-year-old vine branches. The results showed that the soil p H was lower,and the soil K,Ca and total salt( 0. 445%) contents were higher in the vineyard of Ninghe District than those in the vineyard of Hangu District. There were no significant differences in the soil Mg,Fe and Na contents between the vineyards in the two regions. The soil of the vineyard in Ninghe District is medium loam,and that in Hangu District is heavy loam. In short,all the soil indicators of the vineyard in Ninghe District were better than those in Hangu District except the indicator of soil salt content. 19Preparation of Alum-borneol-PVP Drug-loaded Fibers by Electrospinning显示文摘The alum-borneol nanoemulsion(ABN),which combines the mineral medicine alum and the botanical medicine borneol,has been applied for approximately 40 years in the clinical treatment of burns,scalds,radiation dermatitis and shingles,and has a good curative effect.However,the current formula and dosage form of ABN pose problems of low borneol content and ease of precipitation,which greatly affects the efficacy of the drug.In this study,polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)was selected as a carrier mixed with different proportions of alum and borneol to produce alum-borneol-PVP fibers(ABPF)by electrospinning.The results showed that the stable system with good drug dispersion was 2:3(alum:borneol).The dissolution content of borneol from the ABPF was about 80%in 4 h,which was much higher than that of the alum-borneol liquid(ABL)and ABN.The ABPF membrane showed a more significant inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus than the ABL and ABN.The composite fiber markedly increased the drug content of borneol,which was 800 times of that in ABN.The fiber had a higher solubility than the nanoemulsion in vitro,which is of great importance for the development of new forms for the clinical application of alum and borneol.HUANG Libing LIU Yueqi SANG Xinyu SONG Jinghui HU Ping LIU Yong 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3:0
20Hardware-in the-loop Simulator for ABS based on MATLAB/Simulink显示文摘A method for building a Hardware-in the-loop Simulator of ABS base on MATLAB/Simulink is presented in this paper. In this method, the vehicle transmission model, the AT model and ABS algorithm is built in Simulink. This system can simulate a vehicle system in the Simulink environment. Further more, the Hardware-in the-loop Simulator system can be connected with the real ABS by I/O boards to observe the algorithm is reasonable or not. At the same time, user can simulate some different conditions by changing the parameter. The system help the user heightening the efficiency when developing the electronic device.
