| 1 | Characteristics of paleoflood deposits archived in unit T0403 of Yuxi Site in the Three Gorges reservoir areas,China显示文摘Based on the detailed analyses,multi-proxies such as AMS 14 C dating,grain size,component and morphology of heavy minerals,micromorphology of zircon,magnetic susceptibility,Rb/Sr and Hg content are used to research the paleoflood sediments archived in the Yuxi Site.The research indicates that, since 7.6 kaBP,at least 16 times of paleoflood with water level above Wusong Elevation 147.024 m(a.s.l.) left deposits in the Neolithic layers of unit T0403 from the Yuxi Site.The results are induced from the following aspects:(1)The plaeoflood sediments take on great similarities with modern flood sediments in the Yuxi Site and Zhongba Site in probability cumulative curves which mainly show a pattern of 3 segments in fluvial pattern.(2)There is some resemblance between the heavy mineral components and the zircon shape characteristics of paleoflood deposits and those of modern flood deposits.(3) Magnetic susceptibility values(40.44―70.10SI)are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers (59.59―188.68SI).(4)Hg values(290.71―742.51 ng/g)are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers(344.16―10518.17 ng/g).(5)Rb/Sr values are higher than those of sediments from cultural layers, while those of the 4th,5th,6th,7th,8th cultural layers are high,which shows that they are inundated by paleoflood.The reason for many flood deposits existing is related to the site situated on the first terrace where the Yuxi River joins with the Yangtze River.As there are some similarities between the plaeoflood sediments and those of the Zhongba Site,it is feasible to confirm the existence of paleoflood sediments based on the above points. | ZHU Cheng MA ChunMei XU WeiFeng BAI JiuJiang ZHENG ChaoGui ZHU GuangYao WANG HuiLin CHEN Ye LU XueFeng | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1: | 16 |

| 5 | Distribution of elements extracted from symptom patterns and characteristics of polysomnograph of common symptom patterns of insomnia with Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the distribution and combined regulation of elements of symptom patterns in the diagnosis of insomnia with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS: The samples were collected from the patients, diagnosed with insomnia, of Henan Province Hospital of TCM between June 2011 and September 2013. The symptom patterns in insomnia were extracted. Next, symptom differentiation,characteristics of polysomnography(PSG), distribution and combined regulation of these symptom patterns were conducted by tests.RESULTS: In total, 286 eligible patients were recruited. The main locations of the disease symptom elements were the brain and heart, and the main characteristics of the disease symptom elements were phlegm-heat, Yin-deficiency and Qi-stagnation. The elements from two or three symptom patterns were commonly manifested in patients with insomnia, especially from three symptom patterns. We also found that all TCM symptom patterns had an effect on polysomnographic indicators in PSG tests.CONCLUSION: The elements of symptom patterns in insomnia were identified as mainly fire-heat and phlegm-heat. The most common patterns of excess were pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi, and mental disturbance due to phlegm-heat,while the most common patterns of deficiency in both the heart and the spleen. These include the Natural Forest Conservation Program, the Sloping Cropland Conversion Program, the Desertification Combating Program, and the Protection Forest System Construction Program. There is a growing need to quantify the contributions of these programs to regional carbon stocks.However, the lack of widely accepted, robust methods is one of the key obstacles to quantification. The objective of this study was to review existing methods for quantifying regional carbon stocks and then recommend suitable ones for the Chinese ecological engineering programs. | 8 | Interior and Exterior Decoration of Transition Metal Oxide Through Cu^(0)/Cu^(+) Co-Doping Strategy for High-Performance Supercapacitor显示文摘Although CoO is a promising electrode material for supercapacitors due to its high theoretical capacitance,the practical applications still suffering from inferior electrochemical activity owing to its low electrical conductivity,poor structural stability and inefficient nanostructure.Herein,we report a novel Cu0/Cu+co-doped CoO composite with adjustable metallic Cu0 and ion Cu+via a facile strategy.Through interior(Cu+)and exterior(Cu0)decoration of CoO,the electrochemical performance of CoO electrode has been significantly improved due to both the beneficial flower-like nanostructure and the synergetic effect of Cu0/Cu+co-doping,which results in a significantly enhanced specific capacitance(695 F g^(-1) at 1 A g^(-1))and high cyclic stability(93.4%retention over 10,000 cycles)than pristine CoO.Furthermore,this co-doping strategy is also applicable to other transition metal oxide(NiO)with enhanced electrochemical performance.In addition,an asymmetric hybrid supercapacitor was assembled using the Cu0/Cu+co-doped CoO electrode and active carbon,which delivers a remarkable maximal energy density(35 Wh kg^(-1)),exceptional power density(16 kW kg^(-1))and ultralong cycle life(91.5%retention over 10,000 cycles).Theoretical calculations further verify that the co-doping of Cu^(0)/Cu^(+)can tune the electronic structure of CoO and improve the conductivity and electron transport.This study demonstrates a facile and favorable strategy to enhance the electrochemical performance of transition metal oxide electrode materials. | Weifeng Liu Zhi Zhang Yanan Zhang Yifan Zheng Nishuang Liu Jun Su Yihua Gao | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4: | 3 |
| 9 | Atomically Dispersed Fe-Co Bimetallic Catalysts for the Promoted Electroreduction of Carbon Dioxide显示文摘The electroreduction reaction of CO_(2)(ECO_(2)RR)requires high-performance catalysts to convert CO_(2)into useful chemicals.Transition metal-based atomically dispersed catalysts are promising for the high selectivity and activity in ECO_(2)RR.This work presents a series of atomically dispersed Co,Fe bimetallic catalysts by carbonizing the Fe-introduced Co-zeolitic-imidazolate-framework(C-Fe-Co-ZIF)for the syngas generation from ECO_(2)RR.The synergistic effect of the bimetallic catalyst promotes CO production.Compared to the pure C-Co-ZiF,C-Fe-Co-ZIF facilitates CO production with a CO Faradaic efficiency(FE)boost of 10%,with optimal FE_(CO)of 51.9%,FE_(H_(2))of 42.4%at-0.55 V,and CO current density of 8.0 mA cm^(-2)at-0.7 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).The H_(2)/CO ratio is tunable from 0.8 to 4.2 in a wide potential window of-0.35 to-0.8 V versus RHE.The total FE_(CO+H_(2))maintains as high as 93%over 10 h.The proper adding amount of Fe could increase the number of active sites and create mild distortions for the nanoscopic environments of Co and Fe,which is essential for the enhancement of the CO production in ECO_(2)RR.The positive impacts of Cu-Co and Ni-Co bimetallic catalysts demonstrate the versatility and potential application of the bimetallic strategy for ECO_(2)RR. | Zhangsen Chen Gaixia Zhang Yuren Wen Ning Chen Weifeng Chen Tom Regier James Dynes Yi Zheng Shuhui Sun | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,2: | 3 |
| 10 | 64 × 64 GM-APD array-based readout integrated circuit for 3D imaging applications显示文摘Using the high sensitivity of the avalanche photodiode(APD) detector operated in the Geigermode(GM), an array readout integrated circuit(ROIC) comprising a two-segment time-to-digital converter(TDC) is employed for wide-dynamic time interval measurement, where a 1-bit low-segment TDC is implemented by discriminating a single-phase clock period. The proposed 64 × 64 GM-APD array ROIC fabricated using Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing company(TSMC) 0.18-μm complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) technology can operate at a maximum frequency of 500 MHz provided by an external phase-locked loop clock. The time resolution is reduced to < 1 ns along with a maximum range of4 μs; the differential non-linearity(DNL) and integral non-linearity(INL) are restricted to approximately-0.15 to 0.15 least significant bit(LSB) and-0.3 to 0.32 LSB, respectively; and the power consumption is490 mW under a frame rate of 20 kH z. | 16 | Accumulation of freshwater in the permanent ice zone of the Canada Basin during summer 2008显示文摘A combination of δ^(18)O and salinity data was employed to explore the freshwater balance in the Canada Basin in summer 2008.The Arctic river water and Pacific river water were quantitatively distinguished by using different saline end-members.The fractions of total river water,including the Arctic and Pacific river water,were high in the upper 50 m and decreased with depth as well as increasing latitude.In contrast,the fraction of Pacific river water increased gradually with depth but decreased toward north.The inventory of total river water in the Canada Basin was higher than other arctic seas,indicating that Canada Basin was a main storage region for river water in the Arctic Ocean.The fraction of Arctic river water was higher than Pacific river water in the upper 50 m while the opposite was true below 50 m.As a result,the inventories of Pacific river water were higher than those of Arctic river water,demonstrating that the Pacific inflow through the Bering Strait is the main source of freshwater in the Canada Basin.Both the river water and sea-ice melted water in the permanent ice zone were more abundant than those in the region with sea-ice just melted.The fractions of total river water,Arctic river water,Pacific river water increased northward to the north of 82°N,indicating an additional source of river water in the permanent ice zone of the northern Canada Basin.A possible reason for the extra river water in the permanent ice zone is the lateral advection of shelf waters by the Trans-Polar Drift.The penetration depth of sea-ice melted waters was less than 30 m in the southern Canada Basin,while it extended to 125 m in the northern Canada Basin.The inventory of seaice melted water suggested that sea-ice melted waters were also accumulated in the permanent ice zone,attributing to the trap of earlier melted waters in the permanent ice zone via the Beaufort Gyre. | TONG Jinlu CHEN Min1 YANG Weifeng ZHANG Run PAN Hong ZHENG Minfang QIU Yusheng HU Wangjiang ZENG Jian | 2017 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,8: | 1 |
| 17 | Realizing a“solid to solid”process via in situ cathode electrolyte interface(CEI)by solvent-in-salt electrolyte for Li-S batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)are regarded as the most promising next-generation energy system due to their high theoretical energy density.However,LSBs suffer the“shuttle effect”if undergoing the solid-liquid-solid sulfur conversion process during cycling.Herein,we design a solvent-in-salt(SIS)electrolyte with co-solvent vinylene carbonate(VC)to synthesize an in situ dense cathode electrolyte interface(CEI)and successfully change sulfur conversion into a solid-solid way to avoid shuttle effect by separating the contact of sulfur and ether solvent.Dense CEI is formed at the beginning of first discharge by the combined action of SIS electrolyte and filmogen VC.Experiments and simulations show that SIS electrolyte controls the initial formed lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)to stay very closely on the cathode surface,and then converts them into a dense CEI film.As a result,Coulombic efficiency(above 99%)and cycling performance of LSBs are improved.Furthermore,the in situ dense CEI can nearly stop the self-discharge of LSBs,and enable the LSBs to work under a pretty lean electrolyte condition. | Jiajun Huang Mengli Tao Weifeng Zhang Guangli Zheng Li Du Zhiming Cui Xiujun Wang Zhenxing Liang Shijun Liao Huiyu Song | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 1 |
