| 1 | Tobacco curly shoot virus isolated in Yunnan is a distinct species of Begomovirus显示文摘Virus isolate Y1 was obtained from tobacco showing curly shoot symptoms in Baoshan, Yunnan Province. Whitefly transmission test and virion morphology observa-tion showed that it is a begomovirus. In reactions with 14 monoclonal antibodies raised against begomoviruses, Y1 was readily differentiated from begomoviruses reported in China, Pakistan and India. The complete nucleotide sequence of DNA-A was determined, it contains 2746 nucleotides, with two ORFs in virion-sense DNA and four ORFs in comple-mentary-sense DNA. Comparisons with total DNA-A, inter-genie region and deduced amino acid sequences of individual ORFs showed that Y1 is a distinct Begomovirus species, for which the name Tobacco curly shoot virus (TCSV) is pro-posed. The total DNA-A of TCSV is most closely related to that of Tomato leaf curl virus from India (85% sequence identity). | 3 | Sulfonated polyaniline/vanadate composite as anode material and its electrochemical property in microbial fuel cells on ocean floor显示文摘A unique sulfonated polyaniline/vanadate composite was synthesized and utilized as a composite anode in microbial fuel cells on ocean floor (BMFCs). X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were employed to characterize its chemical composition and morphology. Wettability of the composite anodes decreases due to the addition of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The electrochemical behavior of the composite anodes was investigated by means of linear sweep voltammetry and Tafel plot measurements. Compared with the plain graphite anode,the composite anode significantly improves the power density,5.5-fold higher,reaching 187.1 mW/m2 and gives a 27-fold higher exchange current density and a higher kinetic activity. A novel synergistic mechanism between sulfonated polyaniline and vanadate is proposed to explain the excellent electrochemical performance. | 6 | Isorhapontigenin protects against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity via increasing YAP1 expression显示文摘As an effective anticancer drug, the clinical limitation of doxorubicin(Dox) is the time-and dose-dependent cardiotoxicity. Yes-associated protein 1(YAP1) interacts with transcription factor TEA domain 1(TEAD1) and plays an important role in cell proliferation and survival. However, the role of YAP1 in Dox-induced cardiomyopathy has not been reported. In this study, the expression of YAP1 was reduced in clinical human failing hearts with dilated cardiomyopathy and Dox-induced in vivo and in vitro cardiotoxic model. Ectopic expression of Yap1 significantly blocked Dox-induced cardiomyocytes apoptosis in TEAD1 dependent manner. Isorhapontigenin(Isor) is a new derivative of stilbene and responsible for a wide range of biological processes. Here, we found that Isor effectively relieved Doxinduced cardiomyocytes apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner in vitro. Administration with Isor(30 mg/kg/day, intraperitoneally, 3 weeks) significantly protected against Dox-induced cardiotoxicity in mice. Interestingly, Isor increased Dox-caused repression in YAP1 and the expression of its target genes in vivo and in vitro. Knockout or inhibition of Yap1 blocked the protective effects of Isor on Dox-induced cardiotoxicity. | 7 | Identification of a novel DNA molecule associated with Tobacco leaf curl virus显示文摘A circular DNA molecule, designated as DNAp, was identified in tobacco plants infected with Tobacco leaf curl virus (TLCV) isolates Y5 and Y8 by PCR using primers based on the conserved region of the two reported DNAp sequences of whitefly-transmitted geminiviruses (WTGs). The complete nucleotide sequences of DNAβ of Y5 and Y8 (TLCV DNAβ) were determined. Y5 DNAβ comprises 1333 nucleotides encoding 8 predicted ORFs with 4 ORFs in virion-sense DNA and 4 ORFs in complementary-sense DNA; Y8 DNAP consists of 1338 nucleotides encoding 7 predicted ORFs with 4 ORFs in virion-sense DNA and 3 ORFs in complementary-sense DNA. TLCV DNAβhas little sequence homology to DNA-A of TLCV, except that it shares conserved TAATATTAC loop sequence with TLCV DNA-A. | 9 | Antiskid Control of Railway Train Braking Based on Adhesion Creep Behavior显示文摘In modern trains wheelset skidding leads to the deterioration of braking behavior,the degradation of comfort,as well as a boost in system hazards.Because of the nonlinearity and unknown characteristics of wheelset adhesion,simplifications are widely adopted in the modeling process of conventional antiskid controllers.Therefore,conventional antiskid controllers usually cannot perform satisfactorily.In this paper,systematic computer simulation and field tests for railway antiskid control system are introduced.The operating principal of antiskid control system is explained,which is fundamental to the simulation of antiskid brakes,and the simulation model is introduced,which incorporates both the adhesion creep curve and a pneumatic submodel of antiskid control system.In addition,the characteristics of adhesion curves and the simulation target are also provided.Using DHSplus,the pneumatic submodel is created to analyze the performance of the different control strategies of antiskid valves.Then the system simulation is realized by combining the kinematical characteristics of railway trains and the pneumatic submodel.The simulation is performed iteratively to obtain the optimized design of the antiskid control system.The design result is incorporated in the hardware design of the antiskid control system and is evaluated in the field tests in Shanghai Subway Line 1.Judging by the antiskid efficiency,the antiskid braking performance observed in the field tests shows the superiority of the optimized design.Therefore,the proposed simulation method,especially in view of its ease of application,appears to be a useful one for designing railway antiskid control systems. | ZUO Jianyong CHEN Zhongkai | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,3: | 6 |

| 11 | Fragility assessment of tunnels in soft soils using artificial neural networks显示文摘Recent earthquakes have shown that tunnels are prone to damage,posing a major threat to safety and having major cascading and socioeconomic impacts.Therefore,reliable models are needed for the seismic fragility assessment of underground structures and the quantitative evaluation of expected losses.Based on previous researches,this paper presented a probabilistic framework based on an artificial neural network(ANN),aiming at the development of fragility curves for circular tunnels in soft soils.Initially,a two-dimensional incremental dynamic analysis of the nonlinear soil-tunnel system was performed to estimate the response of the tunnel under ground shaking.The effects of soil-structure-interaction and the ground motion characteristics on the seismic response and the fragility of tunnels were adequately considered within the proposed framework.An ANN was employed to develop a probabilistic seismic demand model,and its results were compared with the traditional linear regression models.Fragility curves were generated for various damage states,accounting for the associated uncertainties.The results indicate that the proposed ANN-based probabilistic framework can results in reliable fragility models,having similar capabilities as the traditional approaches,and a lower computational cost is required.The proposed fragility models can be adopted for the risk analysis of typical circular tunnel in soft soils subjected to seismic loading,and they are expected to facilitate decision-making and risk management toward more resilient transport infrastructure. | Zhongkai Huang Sotirios A.Argyroudis Kyriazis Pitilakis Dongmei Zhang Grigorios Tsinidis | 2022 | Underground Space2022,7,2: | 4 |
| 12 | Sensor Configuration and Test for Fault Diagnoses of Subway Braking System Based on Signed Digraph Method显示文摘Fault diagnosis of various systems on rolling stock has drawn the attention of many researchers.However,obtaining an optimized sensor set of these systems,which is a prerequisite for fault diagnosis,remains a major challenge.Available literature suggests that the configuration of sensors in these systems is presently dependent on the knowledge and engineering experiences of designers,which may lead to insufficient or redundant development of various sensors.In this paper,the optimization of sensor sets is addressed by using the signed digraph(SDG)method.The method is modified for use in braking systems by the introduction of an effect-function method to replace the traditional quantitative methods.Two criteria are adopted to evaluate the capability of the sensor sets,namely,observability and resolution.The sensors configuration method of braking system is proposed.It consists of generating bipartite graphs from SDG models and then solving the set cover problem using a greedy algorithm.To demonstrate the improvement,the sensor configuration of the HP2008 braking system is investigated and fault diagnosis on a test bench is performed.The test results show that SDG algorithm can improve single-fault resolution from 6 faults to 10 faults,and with additional four brake cylinder pressure(BCP)sensors it can cover up to 67 double faults which were not considered by traditional fault diagnosis system.SDG methods are suitable for reducing redundant sensors and that the sensor sets thereby obtained are capable of detecting typical faults,such as the failure of a release valve.This study investigates the formal extension of the SDG method to the sensor configuration of braking system,as well as the adaptation supported by the effect-function method. | ZUO Jianyong CHEN Zhongkai | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,3: | 4 |
| 13 | Electrochemical Properties of Electrodes with Different Shapes and Diffusion Kinetic Analysis of Microbial Fuel Cells on Ocean Floor显示文摘Microbial fuel cell(MFC) on the ocean floor is a kind of novel energy-harvesting device that can be developed to drive small instruments to work continuously.The shape of electrode has a great effect on the performance of the MFC.In this paper,several shapes of electrode and cell structure were designed,and their performance in MFC were compared in pairs:Mesh(cell-1) vs.flat plate(cell-2),branch(cell-3) vs.cylinder(cell-4),and forest(cell-5) vs.disk(cell-6) FC.Our results showed that the maximum power densities were 16.50,14.20,19.30,15.00,14.64,and 9.95 mWm-2 for cell-1,2,3,4,5 and 6 respectively.And the corre-sponding diffusion-limited currents were 7.16,2.80,18.86,10.50,18.00,and 6.900 mA.The mesh and branch anodes showed higher power densities and much higher diffusion-limited currents than the flat plate and the cylinder anodes respectively due to the low diffusion hindrance with the former anodes.The forest cathode improved by 47% of the power density and by 161% of diffusion-limited current than the disk cathode due to the former's extended solid/liquid/gas three-phase boundary.These results indicated that the shape of electrode is a major parameter that determining the diffusion-limited current of an MFC,and the differences in the elec-trode shape lead to the differences in cell performance.These results would be useful for MFC structure design in practical applica-tions. | FU Yubin LIU Jia SU Jia ZHAO Zhongkai LIU Yang XU Qian | 2012 | Journal of Ocean University of China2012,11,1: | 3 |
| 14 | Distribution Features of the Nanhua-Sinian Rifts and their Significance to Hydrocarbon Accumulation in the Tarim Basin显示文摘On the basis of reprocessing 34 new two-dimensional spliced long sections(20,191 km) in the Tarim Basin, the deep structure features of the Tarim Basin were analyzed through interpreting 30,451 km of two-dimensional seismic data and compiling basic maps. Seismic interpretation and geological analysis conclude that the Nanhua-Sinian strata are a set of rift-depression depositional systems according to their tectonic and depositional features. The rift valley formed in the Nanhua Period, and the transformation became weaker during the late Sinian Period, which eventually turned into depression. From bottom to top, the deposited strata include mafic igneous, tillite, mudstone, and dolomite. Three major depocenters developed inside this basin during the rift stage and are distributed in the eastern Tarim Basin, the Awati area, and the southwestern Tarim Basin. Among them, the rift in the eastern Tarim Basin strikes in the near east-west direction on the plane and coincides with the aeromagnetic anomaly belt. This represents a strong magnetic zone formed by upwelling basic volcanic rock along high, steep normal faults of the Nanhua Period. Controlled by the tectonic background, two types of sedimentary systems were developed in the rift stage and depression stage, showing two types of sequence features in the Sinian depositional stage. The Nanhua System appears as a wedge-shaped formation, with its bottom in unconformable contact with the base. The rifting event has a strong influence on the current tectonic units in the Tarim Basin, and affects the distribution of source rock in the Yuertus Formation and reservoir beds in the Xiaoerbulake Formation in Lower Cambrian, as well as the gypseous cap rock in Middle Cambrian. The distribution features of the rifts have important and realistic significance for determining the direction of oil and gas exploration in the deep strata of the Tarim Basin. The least squares method is applied to the identification of nonlinear and linear parameters,in which the Grunwald-Letnikov definition and short memory principle are applied to compute the fractional order derivatives.An adaptive P-type order learning law is proposed to estimate the differentiation order iteratively and accurately. Particularly,a unique estimation result and a fast convergence speed can be arrived by using the small gain strategy, which is unidirectional and has certain advantages than some state-of-art methods.
