1Tobacco curly shoot virus isolated in Yunnan is a distinct species of Begomovirus显示文摘Virus isolate Y1 was obtained from tobacco showing curly shoot symptoms in Baoshan, Yunnan Province. Whitefly transmission test and virion morphology observa-tion showed that it is a begomovirus. In reactions with 14 monoclonal antibodies raised against begomoviruses, Y1 was readily differentiated from begomoviruses reported in China, Pakistan and India. The complete nucleotide sequence of DNA-A was determined, it contains 2746 nucleotides, with two ORFs in virion-sense DNA and four ORFs in comple-mentary-sense DNA. Comparisons with total DNA-A, inter-genie region and deduced amino acid sequences of individual ORFs showed that Y1 is a distinct Begomovirus species, for which the name Tobacco curly shoot virus (TCSV) is pro-posed. The total DNA-A of TCSV is most closely related to that of Tomato leaf curl virus from India (85% sequence identity). 2Habitat-induced reciprocal transformation in the root phenotype of Oriental ginseng is associated with alteration in DNA methylation显示文摘Oriental ginseng is an important medicinal plant that grows in 2 major forms or ecotypes,wild and domesticated.Each form differs conspicuously in root phenotype,but can be converted from one type to another by habitat.Here we show that the habi tat-induced transformation of ginseng root phenotype was accompanied by alteration in cytosine methylation at a large number of 5′-CCGG-3′sites detected by the methylation-sensitive polymorphism(MSAP)marker.The collective CG and CHG methylation levels of all 4 landraces of the domesticated form were significantly lower than those of the wild form.Interestingly,artificially transplanted ginseng plants recreated in both directions the methylation levels(at least in CHG)of their natural counterparts.The methylation differences between the 2 ginseng ecotypes were validated at 2 isolated MSAP loci bearing homology to a 5S rRNA gene or a copia retrotransposon.Our results implicate a link between epigenetic variation and habitat-induced phenotypic flexibility in Oriental ginseng.NGEZAHAYO Frederic WANG XiaoLi YU XiaoMing JIANG LiLi CHU YunJie SHEN BaiHua YAN ZhongKai LIU Bao 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,16:7
3Identification of a novel DNA molecule associated with Tobacco leaf curl virus显示文摘A circular DNA molecule, designated as DNAp, was identified in tobacco plants infected with Tobacco leaf curl virus (TLCV) isolates Y5 and Y8 by PCR using primers based on the conserved region of the two reported DNAp sequences of whitefly-transmitted geminiviruses (WTGs). The complete nucleotide sequences of DNAβ of Y5 and Y8 (TLCV DNAβ) were determined. Y5 DNAβ comprises 1333 nucleotides encoding 8 predicted ORFs with 4 ORFs in virion-sense DNA and 4 ORFs in complementary-sense DNA; Y8 DNAP consists of 1338 nucleotides encoding 7 predicted ORFs with 4 ORFs in virion-sense DNA and 3 ORFs in complementary-sense DNA. TLCV DNAβhas little sequence homology to DNA-A of TLCV, except that it shares conserved TAATATTAC loop sequence with TLCV DNA-A. 4An Iterative Learning Approach to Identify Fractional Order KiBaM Model显示文摘This paper discusses the parameter and differentiation order identification of continuous fractional order Ki Ba M models in ARX(autoregressive model with exogenous inputs)and OE(output error model) forms. The least squares method is applied to the identification of nonlinear and linear parameters,in which the Grunwald-Letnikov definition and short memory principle are applied to compute the fractional order derivatives.An adaptive P-type order learning law is proposed to estimate the differentiation order iteratively and accurately. Particularly,a unique estimation result and a fast convergence speed can be arrived by using the small gain strategy, which is unidirectional and has certain advantages than some state-of-art methods. The proposed strategy can be successfully applied to the nonlinear systems with quasi-linear characteristics. 8A steady composite molecular anode Ru1/MWCNTsCOOH/GC for robust catalytic water oxidation显示文摘Development of efficient molecular devices for overall water splitting has always been a hotspot of research to realize clean and sustainable energy conversion. In the case, long-term durability of molecular devices is a crucial factor to determine their practical application. Here, an efficient composite molecular anode was assembled by immobilization of charge-neutral mononuclear Ru1 complex on COOHfunctionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs COOH) sticking on a glassy carbon(GC) electrode(Ru1/MWCNTsCOOH/GC). The prepared hybrid anode showed a low onset overpotential of only 380 mV for electrocatalytic water oxidation. Moreover, the anode displayed a steady catalytic current density of1.25 mA/cm^2 for more than 5 h at the overpotential of 580 m V, a high TON of 186000(5 h), a TOF of10.3 s-1 and a faradic efficiency of 96%, indicating the significant efficiency and extremely durability.The excellent durability of the molecular anode should be attributed to the key charge-neutral catalytic intermediates(Ru1 ad) of the catalytic step and the two long flexible carbon chains of the catalyst.Yan Gao Yu Wei Zhongkai Lu Xuyang Chen Dongping Wang 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,8:0
9Dimensionality-driven metal to Mott insulator transition in two-dimensional 1T-TaSe_(2)显示文摘Two-dimensional materials represent a major frontier for research into exotic many-body quantum phenomena.In the extreme two-dimensional limit,electron-electron interaction often dominates over other electronic energy scales,leading to strongly correlated effects such as quantum spin liquid and unconventional superconductivity.The dominance is conventionally attributed to the lack of electron screening in the third dimension.Here,we discover an intriguing metal to Mott insulator transition in 1T-TaSe_(2) that defies conventional wisdom.Specifically,we find that dimensionality crossover,instead of reduced screening,drives the transition in atomically thin 1T-TaSe_(2).A dispersive band crossing the Fermi level is found to be responsible for the bulk metallicity in the material.Reducing the dimensionality,however,effectively quenches the kinetic energy of these initially itinerant electrons,and drives the material into aMott insulating state.The dimensionality-driven metal to Mott insulator transition resolves the long-standing dichotomy between metallic bulk and insulating surface of 1T-TaSe_(2).Our work further reveals a new pathway for modulating two-dimensional materials that enables exploring strongly correlated systems across uncharted parameter space.Ning Tian Zhe Huang Bo Gyu Jang Shuaifei Guo Ya-Jun Yan Jingjing Gao Yijun Yu Jinwoong Hwang Cenyao Tang Meixiao Wang Xuan Luo Yu Ping Sun Zhongkai Liu Dong-Lai Feng Xianhui Chen Sung-Kwan Mo Minjae Kim Young-Woo Son Dawei Shen Wei Ruan Yuanbo Zhang 2024National Science Review2024,11,3:0
