| 1 | Osteoimmunomodulatory effects of biomaterial modification strategies on macrophage polarization and bone regeneration显示文摘Biomaterials as bone substitutes are always considered as foreign bodies that can trigger host immune responses.Traditional designing principles have been always aimed at minimizing the immune reactions by fabricating inert biomaterials.However,clinical evidence revealed that those methods still have limitations and many of which were only feasible in the laboratory.Currently,osteoimmunology,the very pioneering concept is drawing more and more attention-it does not simply regard the immune response as an obstacle during bone healing but emphasizes the intimate relationship of the immune and skeletal system,which includes diverse cells,cytokines,and signaling pathways.Properties of biomaterials like topography,wettability,surface charge,the release of cytokines,mediators,ions and other bioactive molecules can impose effects on immune responses to interfere with the skeletal system.Based on the bone formation mechanisms,the designing methods of the biomaterials change from immune evasive to immune reprogramming.Here,we discuss the osteoimmunomodulatory effects of the new modification strategies—adjusting properties of bone biomaterials to induce a favorable osteoimmune environment.Such strategies showed potential to benefit the development of bone materials and lay a solid foundation for the future clinical application. | Yajuan Xie Cheng Hu Yi Feng Danfeng Li Tingting Ai Yulei Huang Xiaodan Chen Lijia Huang Jiali Tan | 2020 | Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,3: | 22 |
| 2 | Spatial and temporal distribution of MODIS and MISR aerosol optical depth over northern China and comparison with AERONET显示文摘Aerosol optical depths (AODs) from MODIS and MISR onboard the Terra satellite are assessed by comparison with measurements from four AERONET sites located in northern China for the period 2006-2009. The results show that MISR performs better than MODIS at the SACOL and Beijing sites. For the Xianghe and Xinglong sites, MODIS AOD retrievals are better than those of MISR. Overall, the relative error of the Angstrom exponent from MISR compared with AERONET is about 14%, but the MODIS error can reach 30%. Thus, it may be better to use the MISR Angstrom exponent to derive wavelength-dependent AOD values when calculating the aerosol radiative forcing in a radiative transfer model. Seasonal analysis of AOD over most of China shows two main areas with high aerosol loading: the Taklimakan Desert region and the southern part of North China and northern part of East China. The locations of these two areas of high aerosol loading do not change with season, but the AOD values have significant seasonal variation. The largest AOD value in the Taklimakan appears in spring when the Angstrom exponents are the lowest, which means the particle radii are relatively large. Over North and East China, the highest aerosol loading appears in summer. | 3 | Comparative Analysis of Characteristics of the Coupled and Decoupled Parallel Mechanisms显示文摘The existence of coupling makes the parallel mechanism possess some special advantages over the serial mechanism, while it is just the coupling that brings about the parallel mechanism some limitations, such as complex workspace, high nonlinear relationship between input and output, difficulties in static and dynamic analysis, and the development of control system, which restricts its application fields. The decoupled parallel mechanism is currently one of the research focuses of the mechanism fields, while the study on the different characteristics between the decoupled and coupled parallel mechanisms has not been reported. Therefore, this paper performs the systematic comparative analysis of the 3-RPUR and the 3-CPR parallel mechanisms. The features of the two mechanisms are described and their movement forms are analyzed with screw theory. The inverse and forward displacement solutions are solved and the Jacobian matrices are obtained. According to the Jacobian matrices and by using the theory of physical model of the solution space, the workspace, dexterity, velocity, payload capability, and stiffness of the mechanisms are analyzed with plotting the indices atlases. The research results prove that the effects of the coupling on the parallel mechanism are double-side, and then the adoption of the decoupled parallel mechanism should be determined by the requirements of the concrete application situation. | 4 | Type Synthesis and Characteristic Analysis of a Family of 2-DOF Rotational Decoupled Parallel Mechanisms显示文摘It is widely used for the rotational parallel mechanism in the field of spatial orientation. While owing to the existence of coupling, the forward kinematic solution and the control of the general rotational parallel mechanism are especially difficult. If decoupling can be realized, the kinematic analysis of the mechanism will be very simple. Presently, the research of the parallel mechanism is focused on the inverse solution and structure optimization, and there is a lack of rotation decoupled parallel mechanisms (DPMs). So this paper proposes a family of 2 degree of freedom (DOF) rotational DPMs based on the four-bar linkage mechanism, and performs a characteristic analysis. This family of DPMs is composed of a moving platform, a fixed base and three limbs. Taking U__RRU__SPU DPM as an example, the motion feature of this DPM is analyzed with the constraint screw method, and its mobility is calculated by using the Modified Kutzbach-Grübler criterion. The inverse and forward displacement problems of the proposed parallel mechanism are solved. The decoupled feature of the proposed parallel mechanism is validated by the deduction of the expression of the Jacobian matrix. Three kinds of singularity conditions of this DPM are discussed, and the atlases of the output parameter concerning different geometric parameters are plotted with the theory of the physical model of the solution space. | 19 | Experimental measurement of bipartite entanglement using parameterized quantum circuits显示文摘Entanglement in quantum systems plays a crucial role in various quantum information tasks. Measuring entanglement has been an important issue in both experiments and theories. In this work, we use parameterized quantum circuits(PQCs) to diagonalize density matrices of quantum states and obtain entanglement by only measuring the diagonal elements. With this method, full quantum state tomography can be bypassed, greatly reducing the number of measurements. A comprehensive characterization of entanglement was performed by using Rényi entropy and partially transposed moments. Mutual information, calculated from entropy is also used to characterize dynamical quantum phase transitions. We experimentally demonstrated the method on a four-qubit nuclear magnetic resonance quantum simulator. Our results agree with the theoretical descriptions. The measurement complexity of our PQC-based method grows linearly with the number of diagonal elements in the density matrix, a square root reduction over the full quantum tomography.
