2A Facile Recovery Process for Cathodes from Spent Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries by Using Oxalic Acid显示文摘A simplistic and novel leaching process is developed to dispose spent lithium iron phosphate(LiFePO_(4))batteries.In this paper,oxalic acid is selected as a leaching reagent to recover lithium as a resource and remove phosphorus from LiFePO_(4) batteries,benefiting from its low natural effects.The physical properties of spent cathode materials(before leaching)and residues(after leaching)are identified by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electronic microscopy(SEM)with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS).The total amounts of Li and Fe are analyzed by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy(ICP-AES).The process occurs under conditions of a 0.3 mol·L^(-1) oxalic acid concentration,a temperature of 80℃,a reaction time of 60 min and a solid/liquid ratio of 60 g·L^(-1).It can effectively precipitate92%ferrum in terms of FeC_(2)O_(4)·2H_(2)O from LiFePO4,with the leaching efficiency of Li achieving up to 98%.This method demonstrates a new strategy for dealing with spent lithium iron phosphate batteries with a low cost and low environmental impact.Li Li Jun Lu Longyu Zhai Xiaoxiao Zhang Larry Curtiss Yi Jin Feng Wu Renjie Chen Khalil Amine 2018CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2018,4,2:12

4Fluorescent nanoparticles for chemical and biological sensing显示文摘Fluorescent nanoparticles (NPs), including quantum dots (QDs), dye-doped NPs, and rare earth-based NPs, etc., have been a major focus of research and development during the past decade. The impetus behind such endeavors can be attributed to their unique chemical and optical properties, such as bright fluorescence, high photostability, large Stocks shift and flexible processability. The introduction of fluorescent NPs into analytical chemistry has opened up new venues for fluorescent analysis. In this review, we focus on the developments and analytical applications of fluorescent NPs in the chemical and biological sensing of pH, ions, organic compounds, small biological molecules, nucleic acids, proteins, virus and bacteria. The review also points out the in vitro and in vivo imaging application of fluorescent NPs at the cell and body levels. 5High strength and ductility Mg-8Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy with bimodal structure and nano-precipitates显示文摘To resolve the strength-ductility trade-off problem for high-strength Mg alloys,we prepared a high performance Mg-8Gd-3Y-0.5 Zr(wt%)alloy with yield strength of 371 MPa,ultimate tensile strength of 419MPa and elongation of 15.8%.The processing route involves extrusion,pre-deformation and aging,which leads to a bimodal structure and nano-precipitates.Back-stress originated from the deformationincompatibility in the bimodal-structure alloy can improve ductility.In addition,dislocation density in coarse grains increased during the pre-deformation strain of 2%,and the dislocations in coarse grains can promote the formation of chain-like nano-precipitates during aging treatment.The chain-like nanoprecipitates can act as barriers for dislocations slip and the existing mobile dislocations enable good ductility.Xiaoxiao Wei Li Jin Fenghua Wang Jing Li Nan Ye Zhenyan Zhang Jie Dong 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,44,9:9
6ClC-3 chloride channel in hippocampal neuronal apoptosis显示文摘Over-production of nitric oxide is pathogenic for neuronal apoptosis around the ischemic area following ischemic brain injury.In this study,an apoptotic model in rat hippocampal neurons was established by 0.5 mmol/L 3-morpholinosyndnomine(SIN-1),a nitric oxide donor.The models were then cultured with 0.1 mmol/L of 4,4'-diisothiocyanostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid(DIDS;the chloride channel blocker) for 18 hours.Neuronal survival was detected using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol- 2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay,and apoptosis was assayed by Hoechst 33342-labeled neuronal DNA fluorescence staining.Western blot analysis and immunochemiluminescence staining were applied to determine the changes of activated caspase-3 and CIC-3 channel proteins.Real-time PCR was used to detect the mRNA expression of CIC-3.The results showed that SIN-1 reduced the neuronal survival rate,induced neuronal apoptosis,and promoted ClC-3 chloride channel protein and mRNA expression in the apoptotic neurons.DIDS reversed the effect of SIN-1.Our findings indicate that the increased activities of the ClC-3 chloride channel may be involved in hippocampal neuronal apoptosis induced by nitric oxide.Lijuan Xu Shuling Zhang Hongling Fan Zhichao Zhong Xi Li Xiaoxiao Jin Quanzhong Chang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,32:3
7Plastid ribosomal protein LPE2 is involved in photosynthesis and the response to C/N balance in Arabidopsis thaliana^oo显示文摘The balance between cellular carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) must be tightly coordinated to sustain op-timal growth and development in plants. In chloroplasts, photosynthesis converts inorganic C to organic C, which is important for maintenance of C content in plant cells. However, little is known about the role of chloroplasts in C/N balance. Here, we identified a nuclear-encoded pro-tein LOW PHOTOSYNTHETIC EFFICIENCY2 (LPE2) that it is required for photosynthesis and C/N balance in Arabidopsis. LPE2 is specifically localized in the chlor-oplast. Both loss-of-function mutants, lpe2-1 and lpe2-2, showed lower photosynthetic activity, characterized by slower electron transport and lower PSII quantum yield than the wild type. Notably, LPE2 is predicted to encode the plastid ribosomal protein S21 (RPS21). Deficiency of LPE2 significantly perturbed the thylakoid membrane composition and plastid protein accumulation, although the transcription of plastid genes is not affected ob-viously. More interestingly, transcriptome analysis in-dicated that the loss of LPE2 altered the expression of C and N response related genes in nucleus, which is con-firmed by quantitative real-time-polymerase chain re-action. Moreover, deficiency of LPE2 suppressed the re-sponse of C/N balance in physiological level. 8Study on the specific interaction between angiogenin and aptamer by atomic force microscopy (AFM)显示文摘The specific interaction between angiogenin and aptamer has been investigated by using AFM. The specificity of the interaction is revealed by comparing the binding probability of aptamer to other ele- ments in a series of control experiments. The results have shown that there is specific interaction force between angiogenin and aptamer. Moreover, the single molecular pull-off force between angiogenin and aptamer has also been determined using the Poisson statistical method to be 133.7±11.7 pN. 10Adverse Effect of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease on the Therapeutic Response in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B显示文摘Background and Aims:The impact of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)on the treatment outcome of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)is undefined and deserves an in-depth investigation.Methods:Histologically-proven CHB receiving first-line antiviral regimens as initial therapy was enrolled and grouped by the concurrence of NAFLD,and followed up at six monthly intervals.Therapeutic response related data were recorded and compared at multiple time points.Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses were utilized to estimate the impact of NAFLD on complete virological response(CVR).Results:We enrolled 267 patients(CHB:164;CHB with NAFLD:103)with comparable follow-up durations.They were also comparable in baseline HBV DNA levels and HBeAg positivity.Patients with concomitant NAFLD showed less significant decline in HBV DNA,qHBsAg,pgRNA,and liver enzyme levels over time;moreover,their cumulative incidences of CVR were significantly lower and that of low-level viremia(LLV)were significantly higher at 6,12,18,24 months.First CVR of CHB was delayed with the presence NAFLD(11.0 vs.7.0 months,p<0.001)and further prolonged with higher grade of liver steatosis(Grade 2–3 vs.1:13.0 vs.9.0 months).On multivariate analysis,HBeAg positivity(HR:0.650,p=0.036),grade of steatosis(G2[HR:0.447,p=0.004];G3[HR:0.085,p=0.002])and HBV DNA(log10 IU/mL)(HR:0.687,p<0.001)were significantly associated with delayed CVR,whereas grade of necroinflammation(HR:1.758,p<0.001)accelerated the CVR.Conclusions:In CHB patients receiving initial antiviral therapy,NAFLD was associated with higher levels of HBV DNA,pgRNA,and liver enzymes,and higher incidence of LLV and delayed CVR.Siyu Zhang Xiaoxiao Zhang Huiming Jin Yao Dou Lu Li Xiwei Yuan Chen Dong Mengmeng Hou Yue-min Nan Jia Shang 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,1:1

20Confinement fluorescence effect of an aggregation-induced emission luminogen in crystalline polymer显示文摘Despite the impressive progress of stimuli-responsive fluorescent materials,little is known about the influence of confinement created by crystalline polymer over the fluorescence properties of fluorescent molecules.The effects of confinement on the fluorescence of an aggregation-induced emission luminogen(AIEgen)are investigated using computational simulations,which reveal that the confined space induces the AIEgens to take a more planar conformation,resulting in a red-shifted emission spectrum.With this property,the study is extended to explore the confinement generated by various polymer crystalline forms,and it is shown that different fluorescence colors are activated.This confinement fluorescence effect is attributed to the different spatial dimensions of the polymer amorphous layer between lamellar crystals where the AIEgens are located.These results indicate the immediate association between crystalline structure and fluorescence signals,activating unprecedented photophysical properties of luminescent materials,and also providing the possibility for crystalline structure visualization,it is important for the many polymer crystallization processes occurring in the materials processing.Lan Zhou Linlin Zheng Xiaoxiao Yu Mengyue Gao Chengjian Xu Yifan Ge Tianxiang Bai Jin Wen Yanhua Cheng Meifang Zhu 2023Aggregate2023,4,5:0
