2PDCD5 regulates iNKT cell terminal maturation and iNKT1 fate decision显示文摘Invariant natural killer T1(iNKT1)cells are characterized by the preferential expression of T-box transcription factor T-bet(encoded by Tbx21)and the production of cytokine IFN-γ,but the relationship between the developmental process and iNKT1 lineage diversification in the thymus remains elusive.We report in the present study a crucial role of programmed cell death 5(PDCD5)in iNKT cell terminal maturation and iNKT1 fate determination.Mice with T cell-specific deletion of PDCD5 had decreased numbers of thymic and peripheral iNKT cells with a predominantly immature phenotype and defects in response toα-galactosylceramide.Loss of PDCD5 also selectively abolished the iNKT1 lineage by reducing T-bet expression in iNKT cells at an early thymic developmental stage(before CD44 upregulation).We further demonstrated that TOX2,one of the high mobility group proteins that was highly expressed in iNKT cells at stage 1 and could be stabilized by PDCD5,promoted the permissive histone H3K4me3 modification in the promoter region of Tbx21.These data indicate a pivotal and unique role of PDCD5/TOX2 in iNKT1 lineage determination.They also suggest that the fate of iNKT1 may be programmed at the developmental stage of iNKT cells in the thymus.Ke Wang Xinwei Zhang Yifan Wang Gaowen Jin Mingyang Li Shusong Zhang Jie Hao Rong Jin Xiaojun Huang Hounan Wu Jun Zhang Yingyu Chen Qing Ge 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,9:4
3Ultraviolet-to-microwave room-temperature photodetectors based on three-dimensional graphene foams显示文摘Highly sensitive broadband photodetection is of critical importance for many applications.However,it is a great challenge to realize broadband photodetection by using a single device.Here we report photodetectors(PDs)based on three-dimensional(3 D)graphene foam(GF)photodiodes with asymmetric electrodes,which show an ultra-broadband photoresponse from ultraviolet to microwave for wavelengths ranging from 10~2 to 10~6 nm.Moreover,the devices exhibit a high photoresponsivity of 10~3 A·W^-1,short response time of 43 ms,and3 d B bandwidth of 80 Hz.The high performance of the devices can be attributed to the photothermoelectric(PTE,also known as the Seebeck)effect in 3 D GF photodiodes.The excellent optical,thermal,and electrical properties of 3 D GFs offer a superior basis for the fabrication of PTE-based PDs.This work paves the way to realize ultra-broadband and high-sensitivity PDs operated at room temperature.YIFAN LI YATING ZHANG YU YU ZHILIANG CHEN QINGYAN LI TENGTENG LI JIE LI HONGLIANG ZHAO QUAN SHENG FENG YAN ZHEN GE YUXIN REN YONGSHENG CHEN JIANQUAN YAO 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:4
4A wave of Foxp3^(+) regulatory T cell accumulation in the neonatal liver plays unique roles in maintaining self-tolerance显示文摘Newborn animals require tightly regulated local and systemic immune environments to govern the development and maturation of multiple organs/tissues even though the immune system itself is far from mature during the neonatal period.Regulatory T cells(Tregs)are essential for maintaining immune tolerance/homeostasis and modulating inflammatory responses.The features of Tregs in the neonatal liver under steady-state conditions are not well understood.The present study aimed to investigate the phenotype,functions,and significance of neonatal Tregs in the liver.We found a wave of thymus-derived Treg influx into the liver during 1–2 weeks of age.Depletion of these Tregs between days 7 and 11 after birth rapidly resulted in Th1-type liver inflammation and metabolic disorder.More Tregs in the neonatal liver than in the spleen underwent MHC II-dependent activation and proliferation,and the liver Tregs acquired stronger suppressive functions.The transcriptomic profile of these neonatal liver Tregs showed elevated expression of PPARγand T-bet and features of Tregs that utilize lipid metabolic machinery and are capable of regulating Th1 responses.The accumulation of Tregs with unique features in the neonatal liver is critical to ensure self-tolerance and liver maturation.Mingyang Li Weijia Zhao Yifan Wang Lixue Jin Gaowen Jin Xiuyuan Sun Wei Wang Ke Wang Xi Xu Jie Hao Rong Jin Wenxian Fu Ying Sun Yingjun Chang Xiaojun Huang Xuyu Zhou Hounan Wu Kunshan Zhang Qing Ge 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,5:4
5Polydopamine/poly(sulfobetaine methacrylate)Co-deposition coatings triggered by CuSO_(4)/H_(2)O_(2)on implants for improved surface hemocompatibility and antibacterial activity显示文摘Implanted biomaterials such as medical catheters are prone to be adhered by proteins,platelets and bacteria due to their surface hydrophobicity characteristics,and then induce related infections and thrombosis.Hence,the development of a versatile strategy to endow surfaces with antibacterial and antifouling functions is particularly significant for blood-contacting materials.In this work,CuSO_(4)/H_(2)O_(2)was used to trigger polydopamine(PDA)and poly-(sulfobetaine methacrylate)(PSBMA)co-deposition process to endow polyurethane(PU)antibacterial and antifouling surface(PU/PDA(Cu)/PSBMA).The zwitterions contained in the PU/PDA(Cu)/PSBMA coating can significantly improve surface wettability to reduce protein adsorption,thereby improving its blood compatibility.In addition,the copper ions released from the metal-phenolic networks(MPNs)imparted them more than 90%antibacterial activity against E.coli and S.aureus.Notably,PU/PDA(Cu)/PSBMA also exhibits excellent performance in vivo mouse catheter-related infections models.Thus,the PU/PDA(Cu)/PSBMA has great application potential for developing multifunctional surface coatings for blood-contacting materials so as to improve antibacterial and anticoagulant properties.Zhongqiang Zhu Qiang Gao Ziyue Long Qiuyi Huo Yifan Ge Ntakirutimana Vianney Nishimwe Anodine Daliko Yongchun Meng Jia Qu Hao Chen Bailiang Wang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,8:3
6Cyanobacteria-based self-oxygenated photodynamic therapy for anaerobic infection treatment and tissue repair显示文摘Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is an important technique to deal with drug-resistant bacterial infections in the post-antibiotic era.However,the hypoxic environment in intractable infections such as refractory keratitis and periodontitis,makes PDT more difficult.In this work,spontaneous oxygen-producing cyanobacteria were used as the carrier of photosensitizer(Ce6),and ultrasmall Cu_(5.4)O nanoparticles(Cu_(5.4)O USNPs)with catalase activity for infection and inflammation elimination and rapid tissue repair(CeCycn-Cu_(5.4)O).The loading of Ce6 and Cu_(5.4)O USNPs onto cyanobacteria surface were confirmed by transmission electron microscopy,nano particle size analyzer,scanning electron microscopy.In vitro sterilization and biofilm removal experiments demonstrated that the restriction of hypoxic environment to PDT was significantly alleviated due to the oxygen production of cyanobacteria.Under laser irradiation,the close transfer of energy photons to oxygen produced by cyanobacteria reduced more than 90% of Ce6 dosages(660 nm,200 mW/cm^(2),2 min).It is worth mentioning that both rapid sterilization through PDT and long-term oxidized free radicals elimination were achieved by adjusting the ratio of Ce6 and Cu_(5.4)O USNPs.Both periodontitis and refractory keratitis animal models proved the excellent self-oxygenation enhanced antibacterial property and promotion of tissue repair.Bailiang Wang Liyang Zhou Yishun Guo Hanwen Guo Yiming Zhong Xiaomin Huang Yifan Ge Qingying Wang Xiaoying Chu Yingying Jin Kaiyue Lan Mei Yang Jia Qu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,6:3
7In Situ Electrochemical Mn(Ⅲ)/Mn(Ⅳ) Generation of Mn(Ⅱ)O Electrocatalysts for High-Performance Oxygen Reduction显示文摘Among various earth-abundant and noble metal-free catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),manganese-based oxides are promising candidates owing to the rich variety of manganese valence.Herein,an extremely facile method for the synthesis of cubic and orthorhombic phase coexisting Mn(Ⅱ)O electrocatalyst as an efficient ORR catalyst was explored.The obtained MnO electrocatalyst with oxygen vacancies shows a significantly elevated ORR catalytic activity with a half-wave potential(E1/2) of as high as 0.895 V,in comparison with that of commercial Pt/C(E1/2=0.877 V).More impressively,the MnO electrocatalyst exhibits a marked activity enhancement after test under a constant applied potential for 1000 s thanks to the in situ generation and stable presence of high-valence manganese species(Mn^3+ and Mn^4+) during the electrochemical process,initiating a synergetic catalytic effect with oxygen vacancies,which is proved to largely accelerate the adsorption and reduction of O_2 molecules favoring the ORR activity elevation.Such an excellent ORR catalytic performance of this MnO electrocatalyst is applied in Zn-air battery,which shows an extra-high peak power density of 63.2 mW cm^-2 in comparison with that(47.4 m W cm^-2) of commercial Pt/C under identical test conditions.Han Tian Liming Zeng Yifan Huang Zhonghua Ma Ge Meng Lingxin Peng Chang Chen Xiangzhi Cui Jianlin Shi 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11:2

9Gene mapping of a new coat mutation in mouse显示文摘Gene mapping of a mouse coat mutation has been investigated. First, 100 10-bp random primers were used to amplify DNA, but the mutation could not be located by this method because there were no correlation between the amplified products and coat phenotypes. Second, by using ldh1 , Car2, Mup1 , Pgb1 , Hbb, Es1O, Es1, Mod1, Gdc1 , Ce2, Es3 as genetic markers, linkage test crosses (two-point test) consisting of intercrossing uncovered BALB/c mice (homozygotes) to CBA/N and C57BL/6 mice with normal hair and backcrossing the heterozygotes of the F1 to the uncovered BALB/c mice were made. It was soon evident that the mutation was linked to Es3 on chromosome 11. Furthermore, three-point test was made by using Es3 and D11 Mit8 (a microsatellite DNA) as genetic markers. The result showed that the mutation was linked to Es3 with the percentage recombination of (7.89 ± 2.19) %, and linked to D11Mit8 with the percentage recombination of (26.30 ± 3.57)%. 15FeSb@N-doped carbon quantum dots anchored in 3D porous N-doped carbon with pseudocapacitance effect enabling fast and ultrastable potassium storage显示文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)are promising ne15t-generation energy storage candidates due to abundant resources and low cost.Sb-based materials with high theoretical capacity(660 mAh·g^(-1))and low working potential are considered as promising anode for PIBs.The remaining challenge is poor stability and slow kinetics.In this work,FeSb@N-doped carbon quantum dots anchored in three-dimensional(3D)porous N-doped carbon(FeSb@C/Nc3DC/N),a Sb-based material with a particular structure,is designed and constructed by a green salt-template method.As an anode for PIBs,it exhibits extraordinarily high-rate and long-cycle stability(a capacity of 245 mAh·g^(-1) at 3,080 mAh·g^(-1) after 1,000 cycles).The pseudocapacitance contribution(83%)is demonstrated as the origin of high-rate performance of the FeSb@C/NС3DC/N electrode.Furthermore,the potassium storage mechanism in the electrode is systematically investigated through ex-situ characterization techniques including ex-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Overall,this study could provide a useful guidance for future design of high-performance electrode materials for PIBs.Zhihui Li Qingmeng Gan Yifan Zhang Jing Hu Peng Liu Changhong Xu Xibing Wu Yilin Ge Feng Wang Qingrong Yao Zhouguang Lu Jianqiu Deng 2022Nano Research2022,15,1:0
16Neurotrophins and neural stem cells in posttraumatic brain injury repair显示文摘Traumatic brain injury(TBI)is the main cause of disability,mental health disorder,and even death,with its incidence and social costs rising steadily.Although different treatment strategies have been developed and tested to mitigate neurological decline,a definitive cure for these conditions remains elusive.Studies have revealed that vari-ous neurotrophins represented by the brain-derived neurotrophic factor are the key regulators of neuroinflammation,apoptosis,blood-brain barrier permeability,neurite regeneration,and memory function.These factors are instrumental in alleviating neu-roinflammation and promoting neuroregeneration.In addition,neural stem cells(NSC)contribute to nerve repair through inherent neuroprotective and immunomodulatory properties,the release of neurotrophins,the activation of endogenous NSCs,and in-tercellular signaling.Notably,innovative research proposals are emerging to combine BDNF and NSCs,enabling them to synergistically complement and promote each other in facilitating injury repair and improving neuron differentiation after TBI.In this review,we summarize the mechanism of neurotrophins in promoting neurogen-esis and restoring neural function after TBI,comprehensively explore the potential therapeutic effects of various neurotrophins in basic research on TBI,and investigate their interaction with NSCs.This endeavor aims to provide a valuable insight into the clinical treatment and transformation of neurotrophins in TBI,thereby promoting the progress of TBI therapeutics.Wenwen Guo Ke Liu Yinghua Wang Xu Ge Yifan Ma Jing Qin Caiqin Zhang Ya Zhao Changhong Shi 2024Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2024,7,1:0
17Confinement fluorescence effect of an aggregation-induced emission luminogen in crystalline polymer显示文摘Despite the impressive progress of stimuli-responsive fluorescent materials,little is known about the influence of confinement created by crystalline polymer over the fluorescence properties of fluorescent molecules.The effects of confinement on the fluorescence of an aggregation-induced emission luminogen(AIEgen)are investigated using computational simulations,which reveal that the confined space induces the AIEgens to take a more planar conformation,resulting in a red-shifted emission spectrum.With this property,the study is extended to explore the confinement generated by various polymer crystalline forms,and it is shown that different fluorescence colors are activated.This confinement fluorescence effect is attributed to the different spatial dimensions of the polymer amorphous layer between lamellar crystals where the AIEgens are located.These results indicate the immediate association between crystalline structure and fluorescence signals,activating unprecedented photophysical properties of luminescent materials,and also providing the possibility for crystalline structure visualization,it is important for the many polymer crystallization processes occurring in the materials processing.Lan Zhou Linlin Zheng Xiaoxiao Yu Mengyue Gao Chengjian Xu Yifan Ge Tianxiang Bai Jin Wen Yanhua Cheng Meifang Zhu 2023Aggregate2023,4,5:0
18Numerical Simulation of the Settling Flux of Biodeposition in a Bay with Cage Culture Through Similarity Theory and a Simplified Pollution Source显示文摘The settling flux of biodeposition affects the environmental quality of cage culture areas and determines their environmental carrying capacity.Simple and effective simulation of the settling flux of biodeposition is extremely important for determining the spatial distribution of biodeposition.Theoretically,biodeposition in cage culture areas without specific emission rules can be simplified as point source pollution.Fluent is a fluid simulation software that can simulate the dispersion of particulate matter simply and efficiently.Based on the simplification of pollution sources and bays,the settling flux of biodeposition can be easily and effectively simulated by Fluent fluid software.In the present work,the feasibility of this method was evaluated by simulation of the settling flux of biodeposition in Maniao Bay,Hainan Province,China,and 20 sampling sites were selected for determining the settling fluxes.At sampling sites P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4,A1,A2,A3,A4,B1,B2,C1,C2,C3 and C4,the measured settling fluxes of biodeposition were 26.02,15.78,10.77,58.16,6.57,72.17,12.37,12.11,106.64,150.96,22.59,11.41,18.03,7.90,19.23,7.06,11.84,5.19 and 2.57 g d^(−1)m^(−2),respectively.The simulated settling fluxes of biodeposition at the corresponding sites were 16.03,23.98,8.87,46.90,4.52,104.77,16.03,8.35,180.83,213.06,39.10,17.47,20.98,9.78,23.25,7.84,15.90,6.06 and 1.65 g d^(−1)m^(−2),respectively.There was a positive correlation between the simulated settling fluxes and measured ones(R=0.94,P=2.22×10^(−9)<0.05),which implies that the spatial differentiation of biodeposition flux was well simulated.Moreover,the posterior difference ratio of the simulation was 0.38,and the small error probability was 0.94,which means that the simulated results reached an acceptable level from the perspective of relative error.Thus,if nonpoint source pollution is simplified to point source pollution and open waters are simplified based on similarity theory,the setting flux of biodeposition in the open waters can be simply and effectively simulated by the fluid simulation software Fluent.LIU Yao CHEN Yifan GE Changzi 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,1:0
19Preliminary Research on the Characteristics of the M_S8.0 Wenchuan Earthquake Hazard显示文摘The M_S8.0 Wenchuan earthquake on May 12, 2008 caused heavy casualties and economic loss. According to the field investigations, the characteristics can be described as follows: The meizoseismal region with an intensity of XI shows an obviously zonal distribution and suffered serious destruction from the earthquake, and the destruction perpendicular to the earthquake surface rupture decreased sharply. At the same time, the intensity X and IX regions perpendicular to the rupture are narrow and therefore their coverage area is small. The intensity on both sides of the rupture attenuates rapidly, but intensity VII and the VI regions are wide, the latter covering about 240,000 km^2. In intensity VI region, the damage area perpendicular to the rupture in the southern part is much larger than that of the northern part. 20Review:Aggregation-Induced Emission——A New Tool to Study Polymer Thermodynamics and Kinetics显示文摘Polymer thermodynamics and kinetics are important components in the basic theory of polymer physics, which provide critical support for polymer processing and molding. As an important thermal analysis technology, differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) is a key way to explore the molecular motion of polymer chains, molecular structure, and condensed structure, greatly promoting the development of polymer materials. However, this technique is limited by its ambiguous results, because of inaccurate heat flow measurement and high parameter dependence. As an alternative strategy, aggregation-induced emission luminogens(AIEgens) have been extensively applied in various targets analysis and process monitoring, owing to their weak intermolecular interactions and highly twisted conformation. The optical properties of AIEgens are highly sensitive to the variations of the polymer microenvironment, including characteristic transition, crosslinking reaction, crystallization behavior, and phase separation.
