1Symptom network topological features predict the effectiveness of herbal treatment for pediatric cough显示文摘Pediatric cough is a heterogeneous condition in terms of symptoms and the underlying disease mechanisms.Symptom phenotypes hold complicated interactions between each other to form an intricate network structure.This study aims to investigate whether the network structure of pediatric cough symptoms is associated with the prognosis and outcome of patients.A total of 384 cases were derived from the electronic medical records of a highly experienced traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physician.The data were divided into two groups according to the therapeutic effect,namely,an invalid group (group A with 40 cases of poor efficacy) and a valid group (group B with 344 cases of good efficacy).Several well-established analysis methods,namely,statistical test,correlation analysis,and complex network analysis,were used to analyze the data.This study reports that symptom networks of patients with pediatric cough are related to the effectiveness of treatment: a dense network of symptoms is associated with great difficulty in treatment.Interventions with the most different symptoms in the symptom network may have improved therapeutic effects.Mengxue Huang Jingjing Wang Runshun Zhang Zhuying Ni Xiaoying Liu Wenwen Liu Weilian Kong Yao Chen Tiantian Huang Guihua Li Dan Wei Jianzhong Liu Xuezhong Zhou 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,3:4
2The construction of personalized virtual landslide disaster environments based on knowledge graphs and deep neural networks显示文摘Virtual Landslide Disaster environments are important for multilevel simulation,analysis and decision-making about Landslide Disasters.However,in the existing related studies,complex disaster scene objects and relationships are not deeply analyzed,and the scene contents are fixed,which is not conducive to meeting multilevel visualization task requirements for diverse users.To resolve the above issues,a construction method for Personalized Virtual Landslide Disaster Environments Based on Knowledge Graphs and Deep Neural networks is proposed in this paper.The characteristics of relationships among users,scenes and data were first discussed in detail;then,a knowledge graph of virtual Landslide Disaster environments was established to clarify the complex relationships among disaster scene objects,and a Deep Neural network was introduced to mine the user history information and the relationships among object entities in the knowledge graph.Therefore,a personalized Landslide Disaster scene data recommendation mechanism was proposed.Finally,a prototype system was developed,and an experimental analysis was conducted.The experimental results show that the method can be used to recommend intelligently appropriate disaster information and scene data to diverse users.The recommendation accuracy stabilizes above 80%–a level able to effectively support The Construction of Personalized Virtual Landslide Disaster environments.Yunhao Zhang Jun Zhu Qing Zhu Yakun Xie Weilian Li Lin Fu Junxiao Zhang Jianmei Tan 2020International Journal of Digital Earth2020,13,12:3
3Design and Realization of InP/AlGaInAs MultipleQuantum Well Ring Laser显示文摘Using beam propagation method (BPM), key optical design parameters of InP/AlGaInAs multiple quantumwell (MQW) ring laser were numerically analyzed. The influences of waveguide dimensions, curvature radiusand gap size on the coupling efficiency were discussed. An InP/AlGaInAs MQW ring laser with radius of 350 μm wasdesigned and realized. 5Determination of Lateral Extension of Hydrocarbon Concentration Sealing Caprocks by AVO Analysis显示文摘The caprock is one of the key factors for a reservoir,especially for a gas reservoir. Whether the caprocks can block off the gas is of significance for the accumulation and preservation of the gas reservoir. In this paper,we use the Amplitude versus offset (AVO) seismic technique to determine the lateral extension of the hydrocarbon concentration sealing caprocks. The essence of this technique is to detect the variations of the reservoir bed physical properties by monitoring the variations of the reflection coefficient of seismic waves upon the interfaces between different lithologies. Generally it is used to indicate hydrocarbon directly. For the hydrocarbon concentration sealing caprocks,the change of hydrocarbon concentration may cause the change of physical properties of the caprocks. Therefore it is possible to evaluate the hydrocarbon concentration sealing ability of the caprocks by AVO. This paper presents a case study using AVO to determine the lateral extension of the hydrocarbon concentration sealing caprocks. 10Tunnel vision optimization method for VR flood scenes based on Gaussian blur显示文摘The visualization of flood disasters in virtual reality(VR)scenes is useful for the representation and sharing of disaster knowledge and can effectively improve users’cognitive efficiency in comprehending disaster information.However,the existing VR methods of visualizing flood disaster scenes have some shortcomings,such as low rendering efficiency and poor user experience.In this paper,a tunnel vision optimization method for VR flood scenes based on Gaussian blur is proposed.The key techniques are studied,such as region of interest(ROI)calculation and tunnel vision optimization considering the characteristics of the human visual system.A prototype system has been developed and used to carry out an experimental case analysis.The experimental results show that the number of triangles drawn in a flood VR scene is reduced by approximately 30%–40%using this method and that the average frame rate is stable at approximately 90 frames per second(fps),significantly improving the efficiency of scene rendering and reducing motion sickness.Lin Fu Jun Zhu Weilian Li Qing Zhu Bingli Xu Yakun Xie Yunhao Zhang Ya Hu Jingtao Lu Pei Dang Jigang You 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,7:1
11AlGaInAs multi-quantum wells ring laser with optical coupling waveguides显示文摘Based on InAlGaAs multi-quantum wells epitaxy structure for Fabry-Pero laser diode,a multi-quantum wells semiconductor ring laser is realized using ICP dry etching process and polyimide planarization process.The laser is generated in a semiconductor resonator ring and is output by two coupled integrated bus waveguides.The ring diameter is 700 μm and the width of the waveguide is 3 μm.The output optical power-current(P-I) characteristic and the wavelength spectra of the ring laser are measured using a fiber coupled to the cleaved facet of the bus waveguide.The threshold current of the device is 120 mA and the wavelength is 1602 nm at an injected current of 160 mA.In addition,the operation mode for the laser in the resonator ring is roughly discussed based on the P-I characteristic plot.LI XianJie QI LiFang GUO WeiLian YU JinLong ZHAO YongLin CAI DaoMin YIN ShunZheng MAO LuHong 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,20:1
12Research advances in the formation poredynamics of sedimentary basins显示文摘In the 21st century,the geodynamics is developing towards quantitative researches.However,due to the irreversible geological processes,it was very difficult to recover the geological process.In particular,the restoration of geological parameter evolution process at the microscopic scale has become a major scientific problem in geology presently.Thereby,a concept of the formation poredynamics is revised and proposed,and the formation poredynamics is a fundamental discipline which focus on the mechanical characteristic of porous media,the pore evolution law,the dynamic genesis and the seepage property of pore fluid during the burial process of clastic rocks.Moreover,it is a new interdiscipline of underground diagenetic dynamics and pore fluid dynamics,and also is as an important part of sedimentary basin dynamics.Research advances were made in both basic theory and applied research.The advances in the basic theory include:(1)the static equilibrium principle of the formation pore,(2)the porosity evolution mechanism and quantitative model of sandstone during the burial diagenetic process,(3)the compaction characteristic and the porosity evolution quantitative model of mudstone,(4)the theoretical relationship between the underground pore fluid temperature and the pore fluid pressure,(5)the influence of the tectonism-induced additional geostress on the pore fluid pressure,and(6)the relationship between the mudstone compaction and the vitrinite reflectance(R_(o))of organic matter.The advances in the applied research include:(1)the geotemperature-geopressure system division of the sedimentary basin and the interpretation of the hydrocarbon distribution dynamic,(2)the modification of the strata pressure prediction model,(3)the construction of the reservoir critical properties and the reservoir dynamics evaluation system,(4)the simulation of the evolution process of the formation fluid pressure,(5)the numerical simulation and physical experimental simulation on the sandstone hydrocarbon charging dynamics,and(6)the dynamic process analysis of the hydrocarbon accumulation in tight sandstone.Through the integration between the pore genesis evolution and the pore fluid dynamic evolution,the formation poredynamics is one of the representative discipline branches that the geological dynamics research had developed toward the underground microscopic scale in recently 20 years,and it also is an inevitable result from the quantitative development of the formation and distribution mechanisms of sedimentary mineral deposits.Based on the formation poredynamics research,eight important research achievements are summarized,and the geological researches are extended from the macroscopic scale to the microscopic scale,to find out the pore parameter evolution law under control of the formation pore evolution during the burial process,and update and improve exploration and production application technologies.Zhen Liu Di Sun Weilian Li Mingjie Liu Lu Xia Jingjing Liu 2017Petroleum Research2017,2,2:1
13Growth of Czochralski silicon under magnetic field显示文摘Growth of Czochralski (CZ) silicon crystals under the magnetic field induced by a cusp-shaped permanent magnet of NdFeB has been investigated. It is found that the mass transport in silicon melt was controlled by its diffusion while the magnetic intensity at the edge of a crucible was over 0.15 T. In comparison with the growth of conventional CZ silicon without magnetic field, the resistivity homogeneity of the CZ silicon under the magnetic field was improved. Furthermore, the Marangoni convection which has a significant influence on the control of oxygen concentration was observed on the surface of silicon melt. It is suggested that the crystal growth mechanism in magnetic field was similar to that in micro-gravity if a critical value was reached, named the growth of equivalent micro-gravity. The relationship of the equivalent micro-gravity and the magnetic intensity was derived as g=(v0/veff)g0. 18Three-dimensional virtual representation for the whole process of dam-break floods from a geospatial storytelling perspective显示文摘The objective of disaster scenes is to share location-based risk information to a large audience in an effective and intuitive way.However,current studies on three-dimensional(3D)representation for dam-break floods have the following limitations:(1)they are lacking a reasonable logic to organize the whole process of dam-break floods,(2)they present information in a way that cannot be easily understood by laypersons.Geospatial storytelling helps to create exciting experiences and to explain complex relationships of geospatial phenomena.This article proposes a three-dimensional virtual representation method for the whole process of dam-break floods from a geospatial storytelling perspective.The creation of a storyline and a storytelling-oriented representation of dam-break floods are discussed in detail.Finally,a prototype system based on WebGL is developed to conduct an experiment analysis.The results of the experiment show that the proposed method can effectively support 3D representation of the spatiotemporal process of dam-break floods.Furthermore,the statistical results indicate that the storytelling is useful for assisting participants in understanding the occurrence and development of dam-break floods,and is applicable to the popularization of disaster science for the general public.Weilian Li Jun Zhu Jan-Henrik Haunert Lin Fu Qing Zhu Youness Dehbi 2022International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1:1
19An improved social force model (ISFM)-based crowd evacuation simulation method in virtual reality with a subway fire as a case study显示文摘Crowd evacuation simulation using virtual reality(VR)is significant for digital emergency response construction.However,existing evacuation simulation studies suffer from poor adaptation to complex environments,inefficient evacuations,and poor simulation effects and do not fully consider the impacts of specific disaster environments on crowd evacuation.To more realistically express the crowd evacuation results obtained under the influence offire environments and the subjective consciousness of pedestrians in subway stations,we designed a dynamic pedestrian evacuation path planning method under multiple constraints,analysed the influences of an‘environmental role’and a‘subjective initiative’on crowd evacuation,established an improved social force model(ISFM)-based crowd evacuation simulation method in VR,developed a prototype system and conducted experimental analyses.The experimental results show that the crowd evacuation time of the ISFM is affected by the disaster severity.In simulation experiments without disaster scenarios,the improved model’s crowd evacuation efficiency improved by averages of 12.53%and 15.37%over the commercial Pathfinder software and the original social force model,respectively.The method described herein can effectively support real-time VR crowd evacuation simulation under multiexit and multifloor conditions and can provide technical support for emergency evacuation learning and management decision analyses involving subwayfires.Jinbin Zhang Jun Zhu Pei Dang Jianlin Wu Yuxuan Zhou Weilian Li Lin Fu Yukun Guo Jigang You 2023International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1:1
