1Monitoring Glacier and Supra-glacier Lakes from Space in Mt. Qomolangma Region of the Himalayas on the Tibetan Plateau in China显示文摘Because of the large number and remoteness, satellite data, including microwave data and optical imagery, have commonly been used in alpine glaciers surveys. Using remote sensing and Geographical Information System (GIS) techniques the paper presents the results of a multitempora satellite glacier extent mapping and glacier changes by glacier sizes in the Mt. Qomolangma region at the northern slopes of the middle Himalayas over the Tibetan Plateau. Glaciers in this region have both retreated and advanced in the past 35 years, with retreat dominating. The glacier retreat area was 3.23 km2 (or 0.75 km2 yr-1) during 1974 and 1976, 8.68 km2 (or 0.36 km2 yr-1) during 1976 and 1992, 1.44 km2 (or 0.12 km2 yr-1) during 1992-2000. 1.14 km2 (or 0.22 km2 yr-1) during 2000-2003, and 0.52 km2 (or 0.07 km2 yr-1) during 2003-2008, respectively. While supra-glacier lakes on the debris-terminus of the Rongbuk Glacier were enlarged dramatically at the same time, from 0.05 km2 in 1974 increased to 0.71 km2 in 2008, which was more than 13 times larger in the last 35 years. In addition, glacier changes also showed spatial differences, for example, glacier retreat rate was the fastest at glacier termini between 5400 and 5700 m a.s.l than at other elevations. 2Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. 4The combined therapeutic effects of ^(131)iodinelabeled multifunctional copper sulfide-loaded microspheres in treating breast cancer显示文摘Compared to conventional cancer treatment, combination therapy based on well-designed nanoscale platforms may offer an opportunity to eliminate tumors and reduce recurrence and metastasis.In this study, we prepared multifunctional microspheres loading ^(131)I-labeled hollow copper sulfide nanoparticles and paclitaxel( ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX) for imaging and therapeutics of W256/B breast tumors in rats.18 F-fluordeoxyglucose(18 F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT) imaging detected that the expansion of the tumor volume was delayed(Po0.05) following intra-tumoral(i.t.) injection with ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX plus near-infrared(NIR) irradiation. The immunohistochemical analysis further confirmed the anti-tumor effect. The single photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)/photoacoustic imaging mediated by ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX demonstrated that microspheres were mainly distributed in the tumors with a relatively low distribution in other organs. Our results revealed that ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX offered combined photothermal, chemo-and radio-therapies, eliminating tumors at a relatively low dose, as well as allowing SPECT/CT and photoacoustic imaging monitoring of distribution of the injected agents non-invasively. 7Development and Characterization of Nanobody-Derived CD47 Theranostic Pairs in Solid Tumors显示文摘Overexpression of CD47 is frequently observed in various types of human malignancies,inhibiting myeloidmediated elimination of tumor cells and affecting the prognosis of cancer patients.By mapping biomarker expression,immuno-positron emission tomography has been increasingly used for patient screening and response monitoring.By immunization alpacas with recombinant human CD47,we prepared a CD47-targeting nanobody C2 and developed[^(68)Ga]Ga-NOTA-C2,followed by an exploration of the diagnostic value in CD47-expressing tumor models including gastric-cancer patient-derived xenograft models.By fusing C2 to an albumin binding domain(ABD),we synthesized ABDC2,which had increased in vivo half-life and improved targeting properties.We further labeled ABDC2 with^(68)Ga/^(89)Zr/177Lu to develop radionuclide theranostic pairs and evaluated the pharmacokinetics and theranostic efficacies of the agents in cell-and patient-derived models.Both C2 and ABDC2 specifically reacted with human CD47 with a high KD value of 23.50 and 84.57 pM,respectively.[^(68)Ga]Ga-NOTA-C2 was developed with high radiochemical purity(99>%,n=4)and visualized CD47 expression in the tumors.In comparison to the rapid renal clearance and short half-life of[^(68)Ga]Ga-NOTA-C2,both[^(68)Ga]Ga-NOTA-ABDC2 and[^(89)Zr]Zr-DFOABDC2 showed prolonged circulation and increased tumor uptake,with the highest uptake of[^(89)Zr]Zr-DFO-ABDC2 occurring at 72 h post-injection.Moreover,[177Lu]Lu-DOTA-ABDC2 radioimmunotherapy suppressed the tumor growth but was associated with toxicity,warranting further optimization of the treatment schedules.Taken together,we reported a series of nanobody-derived CD47-targeted agents,of which[^(68)Ga]Ga-NOTA-C2 and[^(89)Zr]Zr-DFO-ABDC2 are readily translatable.Optimization and translation of CD47-targeted theranostic pair may provide new prospects for CD47-targeted management of solid tumors.You Zhang Di Zhang Shuxian An Qiufang Liu Chenyi Liang Juan Li Ping Liu Changfeng Wu Gang Huang Weijun Wei Jianjun Liu 2023Research2023,,4:0
8Number and nest-site selection of breeding black-necked cranes over the past 40 years in the Longbao Wetland Nature Reserve,Qinghai,China显示文摘Black-necked crane(Grus nigricollis,BNC),facing serious threats from human activities and habitat variations,is an endangered species classified as vulnerable under the revised IUCN Red List.In this article,we investigated and analyzed the population and nesting microhabitat of BNCs in the Longbao National Nature Reserve(NNR)from 1978 to 2016,and found the number of BNCs increased from 24 in 1978 to 216 in 2016.This establishment of the Longbao NNR represented the activities of protecting endangered animal species are effective.However,the land cover classification results of Landsat images showed that the marsh wetland,which was the BNC’s primary habitat,decreased during 1978–2016,while artificial buildings increased,which affected the habitat of BNCs.The increase in average temperature over the past 40 years has also had an impact on the number of BNCs.BNCs preferred to nest in marsh wetlands or on islands with open water or star-like distributions through observation.The results of the principal component analysis showed that the nearest distance between nests and habitat type were the primary factors influencing nesting site selection.To protect BNC,we suggest decreasing wetland fragmentation,reducing habitat degradation and providing an undisturbed habitat.Qiufang Wei Yun Shao Chou Xie Baoshan Cui Bangsen Tian Brian Brisco Kun Li Wenjia Tang 2021Big Earth Data2021,5,2:0
