3Analyses on the climate change responses over China under SRES B2 scenario using PRECIS显示文摘The PRECIS,a regional climate model system developed at the UK Met Office Hadley Cen- tre for Climate Prediction and Research,which is nested in one-way mode within the HadAM3P,a higher-resolution version of the atmospheric com- ponent of the Hadley Centre climate model HadCM3,is employed to simulate the baseline (1961—1990) climate for evaluation of model’s capacity of simu- lating present climate and analyze the future climate change responses in the time-slice of 2071—2100 (2080s) under SRES B2 scenario over China relative to baseline average. It is indicated from the com- parison of the simulated baseline climate with in situ observation that PRECIS can simulate the local dis- tribution characteristics of surface air temperature over China quite well; generally speaking,the simu- lation for precipitation in the north of China and in winter is better than in the south of China and in summer,respectively; the simulation of precipitation in summer is sensitive to topography,and the simu- lated precipitation values are lower than observations over southeast coastal areas. It is shown from the analyses on the simulated climate change responses in 2080s under SRES B2 scenario relative to base- line that there would be an obvious surface air tem- perature increase in the north of China relative to that in the south of China,and especially in Northwest China and Northeast China,the amplitude ofsummer mean surface air temperature increments could reach 5℃; there would be an overall increase of the simulated precipitation in 2080s under SRES B2 scenario over most areas of China,while there would be significant precipitation decreases in South China in winter; there would be obvious precipitation decreases in Northeast China and North China in summer with high surface air temperature increase. It is proved to be practical and effective through several numerical examples. 7Variational iteration solving method for El Nio phenomenon atmospheric physics of nonlinear model显示文摘A class of El Nino atmospheric physics oscillation model is considered. The El Nino atmospheric physics oscillation is an abnormal phenomenon involved in the tropical Pacific ocean-atmosphere interactions. The conceptual oscillator model should consider the variations of both the eastern and western Pacific anomaly patterns. An El Nino atmospheric physics model is proposed using a method for the variational iteration theory. Using the variational iteration method, the approximate expansions of the solution of corresponding problem are constructed. That is, firstly, introducing a set of functional and accounting their variationals, the Lagrange multiplicators are counted, and then the variational iteration is defined, finally, the approximate solution is obtained. From approximate expansions of the solution, the zonal sea surface temperature anomaly in the equatorial eastern Pacific and the thermocline depth anomaly of the sea-air oscillation for El Nino atmospheric physics model can be analyzed. El Nino is a very complicated natural phenomenon. Hence basic models need to be reduced for the sea-air oscillator and are solved. 8Singularly Perturbed Solution of Coupled Model in Atmosphere-ocean for Global Climate显示文摘A box model of the interhemispheric thermohaline circulation (THC) in atmosphere-ocean for global cli-mate is considered. By using the multi-scales method, the asymptotic solution of a simplified weakly nonlinear model is discussed. Firstly, by introducing first scale, the zeroth order approximate solution of the model is obtained. Sec-ondly, by using the multi-scales, the first order approximate equation of the model is found. Finally, second order ap-proximate equation is formed to eliminate the secular terms, and a uniformly valid asymptotic expansion of solution is decided. The multi-scales solving method is an analytic method which can be used to analyze operation sequentially. And then we can also study the diversified qualitative and quantitative behaviors for corresponding physical quantities. 10Three-dimensional variational data assimilation implemented in numerical modeling for Wuhan torrential rain in July 1998显示文摘On July 20~21, 1998, a torrential rain with 24-hour rainfall of 286 mm occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province of China. In this study, a three-dimensional variational data assimilation system developed at the Fifth-Generation Pennsylvania State University/National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesoscale Model (MM5) along with conventional rawinsonde sounding and surface observation is used for modeling the heavy rain. It successfully incorporates observational data of temperature, humidity and wind, and provides an optimal analysis being in favor of the formation of heavy rain. The 24-hour rainfall predicted by the new scheme is 109 mm rather than 2.5 mm forecasted by control experiment. 11Approximate Solution for Mechanism of Thermally and Wind-driven Ocean Circulation显示文摘The thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is a complicated natural phenomenon in the atmospheric physics. Hence we need to reduce it using basic models and solve the models using approximate methods. A non-linear model of the thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is used in this paper. The results show that the zero solution of the linear equation is a stable focus point, which is the path curve trend origin point as time (t) trend to infinity. By using the homotopic mapping perturbation method, the exact solution of the model is obtained. The homotopic mapping perturbation method is an analytic solving method, so the obtained solution can be used for analytic operating sequentially. 12The relationship between short-range motion of atmosphere and ocean and conservative and nonconservative scheme显示文摘Taking one-dimensional shallow water wave equation as an example, a comparative analysis on the computational stability related to the short-range motion of atmosphere and ocean is carried out for the conservative and nonconservative scheme, and it is pointed out that the computational stability of conservative scheme is absolutely different from that of the nonconservative scheme. The relationship between the short-range motion of atmosphere and ocean and the conservative and nonconservative scheme is further discussed. The constructed conservative scheme is proved to be stable by the numerical experiment for the short-range motion of atmosphere and ocean while the CTCS scheme is unstable. 13Spatial and temporal variation characteristics of ocean waves in the South China Sea during the boreal winter显示文摘The spatial and temporal variation characteristics of the waves in the South China Sea(SCS) in the boreal winter during the period of 1979/1980–2011/2012 have been investigated based on the European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts interim(ERA-Interim) reanalysis dataset. The results show that the leading mode of significant wave height anomalies(SWHA) in the SCS exhibits significant interannual variation and a decadal shift around the mid-1990 s, and features a basin-wide pattern in the entire SCS with a center located in the west of the Luzon Strait. The decadal change from a weak regime to a strong regime is mainly associated with the enhancement of winter monsoon modulated by the Pacific decadal oscillation(PDO). The interannual variation of the SWHA has a significant negative correlation with the El Ni?o Southern Oscillation(ENSO) in the same season and the preceding autumn. For a better understanding of the physical mechanism between the SCS ocean waves and ENSO, further investigation is made by analyzing atmospheric circulation. The impact of the ENSO on the SWHA over the SCS is bridged by the East Asian winter monsoon and Pacific-East Asian teleconnection in the lower troposphere. 14Homotopic Mapping Solving Method for Perturbed Mechanism of Western Boundary Undercurrents in Equator Pacific显示文摘The perturbed boundary undercurrent is an exceptional event in the tropical atmosphere and ocean.It is a complicated nonlinear system.Its appearance badly affects not only natural conditions such as climate and environment,but also global economic development and human living,and brings about many calamities.Thus there is very attractive study on its rules in the international academic circles.Many scholars made more studies on its local and whole be-haviors using different methods,such as self-anamnestic principle,Fokker-Plank Equation method,higher order singular pedigree and predictable study,rapid change on boundary,indeterminate adaptive control,multi-cogradient method and so on.Nonlinear perturbed theory and approximate method are very attractive studies in the international academic circles.Many scholars considered a class of nonlinear problems for the ordinary differential equation,the reaction dif-fusion equations,the boundary value of elliptic equation,the initial boundary value of hyperbolic equation,the shock layer solution of nonlinear equation and so on.In this paper,a class of perturbed mechanism for the western boundary undercurrents in the equator Pacific is considered.Under suitable conditions,using a homotopic mapping theory and method,we obtain a simple and rapid arbitrary order approximate solution for the corresponding nonlinear system.For example,a special case shows that using the homotopic mapping method,there is a high accuracy for the computed value.It is also provided from the results that the solution for homotopic mapping solving method can be used for analyzing operator for perturbed mechanism of western boundary undercurrents in the equator Pacific.MO Jiaqi WANG Hui LIN Wantao 2006Chinese Geographical Science2006,16,4:1

18Effect of initial perturbations on the simulation capability of numerical models显示文摘The effect of an initial perturbation on simulation is studied in a series of numerical experiments using a one-dimensional nonlinear advection equation model. It is shown that the capability of the model tends to decline with an increase in initial perturbation. 193D Printed Bioinspired Stents with Photothermal Effects for Malignant Colorectal Obstruction显示文摘Stent placement is an effective palliation therapy for malignant colorectal obstruction.However,recurrent obstruction is a common severe complication caused by tumor ingrowth into the stent lumen.Conventional covered stents play a part in preventing the tumor from growing inward but at the expense of significantly increasing the risk of stent migration.Therefore,there is an urgent demand to develop stents with sustained antitumor and antimigration abilities.Herein,we propose a facile method for fabricating multifunctional bioinspired colorectal stents using 3D printing technology.Inspired by high-adhesion biological structures(gecko feet,tree frog toe pads,and octopus suckers)in nature,different types of bioinspired colorectal stents are designed to reduce migration.After functionalization with graphene oxide(GO),bioinspired colorectal stents show excellent and controllable photothermal performance,which is validated by effective ablation of colon cancer cells in vitro and tumors in vivo.Besides,the bioinspired colorectal stents demonstrate the feasibility of transanal placement and opening of the obstructed colon.More importantly,the facile manufacturing process of multifunctional bioinspired colorectal stents is appealing for mass production,Hence,the developed multifunctional bioinspired colorectal stents exhibit a highly promising potential in clinical applications.Cheng Lin Zhipeng Huang Qinglong Wang Wantao Wang Wenbo Wang Zhen Wang Liwu Liu Yanju Liu Jinsong Leng 2022Research2022,,4:0
