1The age of the base of the Paleoproterozoic Hutuo Group in the Wutai Mountains area, North China Craton: SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating of basaltic andesite显示文摘Basalt and basaltic andesite metamorphosed at greenschist facies occurs with conglomerate layers at the bottom of the Paleoproterozoic Hutuo Group in the Wutai Mountains area, North China Craton. Detailed geological surveying confirms that these volcanic rocks are conformable within the neighboring sedimentary rocks. The SHRIMP results on basaltic andesite are divided into two groups. In one group the 207Pb/206Pb ages are from 2433 to 2558 Ma, which is consistent with the basement crustal age in Fuping and Wutai areas. In the other group, 13 grains yielded a weighted mean 207Pb/206Pb age of 2140±14 Ma. The latter is interpreted as the eruption age of the basaltic andesite, and gives the age of the base of the Hutuo Group. 2Age of the Miyun dyke swarm:Constraints on the maximum depositional age of the Changcheng System显示文摘A group of NE-trending(~30°)mafic dykes,termed Miyun swarm herein,are distributed around the Miyun Reservoir,northe China,and have individual widths of over 40 m,and lengths of up to 8000 m.Baddeleyite grains were extracted from a~40 wide dyke.Using an isotope dilution thermal ionization mass spectrometry method,these grains yield an average 207Pb/206Pb a of 1731±4 Ma(n=4;or 1731±1 Ma,n=3).Because this dyke is overlain unconformably by conglomerates of the Changzhoug Formation,the lowermost formation of the Changcheng Group,the maximum depositional age of this group is constrained to no earlier than 1731 Ma.This result also suggests that the Changcheng System,with the Changcheng Group as its standard stra graphic section,is younger than 1731 Ma.The Miyun dykes possibly have distinct petrogenesis from the subsequent anorth site-rapakivi intrusions(1730-1680 Ma),which are thought to be responsible for the opening of the Yan-Liao rift,where Changcheng Group was deposited.Thus it is reasonable to set the initial boundary of the Changchengian Period at 1730 Ma slightly younger.PENG Peng LIU Fu ZHAI MingGuo GUO JingHui 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,1:40
3SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating in Jingshan 'migmatitic granite', Bengbu and its geological significance显示文摘The petrographic characteristics of Jingshan 'migmatitic granite' and the occurrence of the magmatic zircons indicate that the granite was formed by normal crystallization of felsic melts. All zircons in the granite have inherited cores and fine-scale oscillatory zoning rims of magmatic origin. It is realized that the granite was formed at 160.2±1.3 Ma through dating magmatic zircons. The generation of the granitic magma could be related to the lithospheric mantle and/or lower crust delamination after the ultrahigh pressure metamorphism (UHPM) in Triassic. Most inherited zircons yield the ages of 217.1±6.6 Ma, which is consistent with the peak UHPM in the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt. Some of the inherited zircons (433-722 Ma) constitute a discordia line with the upper intercept age of 850+85/-68 Ma and a lower intercept age of 261+100/-140 Ma. These ages imply that the granite could be derived from the partial melting of the crustal materials of the South China Block that was intensively superimposed by the UHPM. 5Sm-Nd age dating of high-pressure granulites and amphi-bolite from Sanggan area,North China craton显示文摘The high pressure (HP) metamorphic age has been dated to HP rocks from the Sanggan area, North China craton. We have got garnet+whole rock isochron ages of (1 842±38) Ma for HP granulite, and (1 856± 26) Ma for HP amphibolite. The Sm-Nd whole rock isochron of HP granulites give out an age of (1870±150) Ma with Nd depleted mantle model age of (2402-2 482) Ma. Considering the Nd isotope homogenization during the peak metamorphism of the HP granulite, Sm-Nd closure temperature and the retention of Nd isotopic memory in garnets partially broken down during decompression, all these isochron ages are thought to be HP metamorphic age. 6Improved corrosion resistance and thermal stability of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets with holmium substitution显示文摘The effects of Ho substitution for Nd on the microstructure, corrosion resistance and thermal stability of the Nd-Fe-B magnets were investigated. The(Nd,Ho)-O phase was formed with increasing Ho substitution. The results of potentiodynamic polarization and highly accelerated stress test show improved corrosion resistance with increasing Ho substitution. The optimum mass loss 0.29 mg/cm^2 is achieved.Moreover, the average temperature coefficients for remanence and coercivity in the range of 25-150℃are both closer to zero, indicating improved thermal stability. 7Constraints on the Ediacaran-Cambrian boundary in deep-water realm in South China: Evidence from zircon CA-ID-TIMS U-Pb ages from the topmost Liuchapo Formation显示文摘The placement of the Ediacaran-Cambrian boundary in deep-water realm in South China and the high-precision temporal framework for the Ediacaran-Cambrian transition in this region have not yet been completely solved. Recently, we have found two K-bentonite beds in the top of the Liuchapo Formation at the Pingyin section, Guizhou Province. It provides an opportunity for constructing the temporal framework of the transitional strata on the Yangtze Platform in South China and for determining the Ediacaran-Cambrian boundary in this area. In this study, we conducted high-precision CA-ID-TIMS U-Pb dating on zircons from the two K-bentonites. The ages of the two K-bentonites were precisely constrained at 536.40±0.47/1.1/1.2 Ma(2σ, n=7, MSWD=0.92) and 541.48±0.46/1.1/1.2 Ma(2σ, n=8, MSWD=1.3). Combining the geochronological results with organic carbon isotope data of chert in the topmost Liuchapo Formation from the section, we suggest that the EdiacaranCambrian boundary should be consistent with a significant negative organic carbon isotope excursion between the two Kbentonites. 8The Sm-Nd Geochronology of the High Pressure Basic Granulite in Laixi, Eastern Shandong显示文摘A high pressure basic granulite ultramafic rock belt, which is about 200km long and trends toward NE, occurs in the late Archaean orthogneiss in Laixi Laiyang Qixia area, eastern Shangdong. This belt is located east to the Su Lu UHPM terrane and west to the Archaean rocks of the North China craton, therefore, its geological situation and implication for collision between the North China plate and the Yangtze plate is very important. The analyzed sample of high pressure basic granulite has decreasing pressure metamorphic texture. The mineral assemblage of retrograde metamorphism is of granulite facies. The sample yields an internal mineral whole rock Sm Nd isochron age of 1725Ma. The T(DM) age of whole rock is 2788Ma. These data are very similar to those of high pressure basic granulites in Northern China craton. Considering the petrological and geochemical characteristics and isotopic ages, the high pressure granulite ultramafic rock belt in eastern Shandong is suggested to belong to the North China craton and to be of the early Precambrian lower crust. 9A possible relict mantle wedge: Geochemical evidence from Paleogene volcanics in North China显示文摘The major and trace element and isotopic composition were analyzed for the Paleogene volcanics in North China dated by the K-Ar method. The geochemical data show that most volcanics are in calc-alkaline series and the minor is in alkaline series. They differ obviously from Neogene and Quaternary volcanics in geochemistry. 10Fluid inclusions in whiteschist in the ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic belt of Dabie Shan,China显示文摘Hualiangting whiteschist in the Dabie Shan ultrahigh-pressure eclogite complex is a specific Mg-Al-rich metamorphic rock. Its protolith was a felsic dyke, which suffered replacement by high-pressure fluids during ec-logite-facies metamorphism. Based on fluid inclusion results in whiteschist, primary high-pressure fluids are CO2-bearing aqueous solutions. Those prove that there exists CO2-H2O fluid during the ultrahigh-pressure metamorphism. 11Re-Os isotopic constraint to the age of in komatiites in the Neoarchean Guyang greenstone belt,North China Craton显示文摘The 2.5 Ga Guyang greenstone belt is a major lithological unit in the northwestern part of the North China Craton.Komatiites have recently been identified to occur within the lower part of the meta-volcanic sedimentary sequence of the greenstone belt.The biggest komatiite near Guyang has been mapped out,which is 500 m long and 50 m wide lenticular block.Re-Os isotopic compositions of 9 samples were analyzed to date the komatiites.The Os contents are from 0.88 to 2.63 ppb,identical with typical komatiites,and slightly lower than the normal mantle.The 187Os/188Os ratios are from 0.1115 to 0.1197,which are lower enough to exclude the origin of Phanerozoic magma as widely developed in adjacent areas.The calculated Re depletion model ages(TRD) are from 1346 to 2454 Ma,among them the oldest age of 2454 Ma gives the minimum evaluation for the formation age of the Guyang komatiite.Therefore,the komatiites are a part of the Guyang greenstone belt,indicating high degree melting of mantle during~2.5 Ga crustal growth event.MA XuDong GUO JingHui CHEN Liang CHU ZhuYin 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,27:3

14Evidence for a Dirac nodal-line semimetal in SrAs_3显示文摘Dirac nodal-line semimetals with the linear bands crossing along a line or loop, represent a new topological state of matter. Here, by carrying out magnetotransport measurements and performing first-principle calculations, we demonstrate that such a state has been realized in high-quality single crystals of SrAs_3.We obtain the nontrivial ∏ Berry phase by analysing the Shubnikov-de Haas quantum oscillations. 15Evolution, Migration, Controlling Factors and Forming Setting of Mesozoic Basins in Western Shandong显示文摘The distinctive topography in western Shandong province consists of several NW-WNW-trending mountain ranges and intervening basins. Basins, in which late-stage sediments to the south have progressively overlapped the earlier sediments and “basement” rocks of the hanging-wall block, are bounded by S-SW-dipping normal faults to the north. Basin analysis reveals the Jurassic-Cretaceous sedimentary rocks accumulated both within the area of crustal extension and during extensional deformation; they contain a record of a sequence of tectonic events during stretching and can be divided into four tectonic-sequence episodes. These basins were initially developed as early as ca. 200 Ma in the northern part of the study area, extending dominantly N-S from the Early Jurassic until the Late Cretaceous. Although with a brief hiatus due to changes in stress field, to keep uniform N-S extensional polarity in such a long time as 130 Ma requires a relatively stable tectonic controlling factor responsible for the NW- and E-W-extensional basins. The formation of the extensional basins is partly concurrent with regional magmatism, but preceded magmatism by 40 Ma. This precludes a genetic link between local magmatism and extension during the Mesozoic. Based on integrated studies of basins and deformation, we consider that the gravitational collapse of the early overthickened continental crust may be the main tectonic driver for the Mesozoic extensional basins. From the Early Jurassic, dramatic reduction in north-south horizontal compressive stress made the western Shandong deformation belt switch from a state of failure under shortening to one dominated by extension and the belt gravitationally collapsed and horizontally spread to the south until equilibrium was established; synchronously, the normal faults and basins were developed based on the model of simple-shear extensional deformation.
