| 1 | COVID-19: Challenges to GIS with Big Data显示文摘The outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has caused more than 100,000 people infected and thousands of deaths.Currently,the number of infections and deaths is still increasing rapidly.COVID-19 seriously threatens human health,production,life,social functioning and international relations.In the fight against COVID-19,Geographic Information Systems(GIS)and big data technologies have played an important role in many aspects,including the rapid aggregation of multi-source big data,rapid visualization of epidemic information,spatial tracking of confirmed cases,prediction of regional transmission,spatial segmentation of the epidemic risk and prevention level,balancing and management of the supply and demand of material resources,and socialemotional guidance and panic elimination,which provided solid spatial information support for decision-making,measures formulation,and effectiveness assessment of COVID-19 prevention and control.GIS has developed and matured relatively quickly and has a complete technological route for data preparation,platform construction,model construction,and map production.However,for the struggle against the widespread epidemic,the main challenge is finding strategies to adjust traditional technical methods and improve speed and accuracy of information provision for social management.At the data level,in the era of big data,data no longer come mainly from the government but are gathered from more diverse enterprises.As a result,the use of GIS faces difficulties in data acquisition and the integration of heterogeneous data,which requires governments,businesses,and academic institutions to jointly promote the formulation of relevant policies.At the technical level,spatial analysis methods for big data are in the ascendancy.Currently and for a long time in the future,the development of GIS should be strengthened to form a data-driven system for rapid knowledge acquisition,which signifies ts that GIS should be used to reinforce the social operation parameterization of models and methods,especially when providing support for social management. | Chenghu Zhou Fenzhen Su Tao Pei An Zhang Yunyan Du Bin Luo Zhidong Cao Juanle Wang Wen Yuan Yunqiang Zhu Ci Song Jie Chen Jun Xu Fujia Li Ting Ma Lili Jiang Fengqin Yan Jiawei Yi Yunfeng Hu Yilan Liao Han Xiao | 2020 | Geography and Sustainability2020,1,1: | 13 |
| 2 | Exosome-guided bone targeted delivery of Antagomir-188 as an anabolic therapy for bone loss显示文摘The differentiation shift from osteogenesis to adipogenesis of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)characterizes many pathological bone loss conditions.Stromal cell-derived factor-1(SDF1)is highly enriched in the bone marrow for C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 4(CXCR4)-positive hematopoietic stem cell(HSC)homing and tumor bone metastasis.In this study,we displayed CXCR4 on the surface of exosomes derived from genetically engineered NIH-3T3 cells.CXCR4+exosomes selectively accumulated in the bone marrow.Then,we fused CXCR4+exosomes with liposomes carrying antagomir-188 to produce hybrid nanoparticles(NPs).The hybrid NPs specifically gathered in the bone marrow and released antagomir-188,which promoted osteogenesis and inhibited adipogenesis of BMSCs and thereby reversed age-related trabecular bone loss and decreased cortical bone porosity in mice.Taken together,this study presents a novel way to obtain bone-targeted exosomes via surface display of CXCR4 and a promising anabolic therapeutic approach for age-related bone loss. | Yan Hu Xiaoqun Li Qin Zhang Zhengrong Gu Ying Luo Jiawei Guo Xiuhui Wang Yingying Jing Xiao Chen Jiacan Su | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,9: | 12 |
| 3 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 4 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 6 | Discovery of tip induced unconventional superconductivity on Weyl semimetal显示文摘Weyl fermion is a massless Dirac fermion with definite chirality,which has been long pursued since 1929.Though it has not been observed as a fundamental particle in nature,Weyl fermion can be realized as low-energy excitation around Weyl point in Weyl semimetal,which possesses Weyl fermion cones in the bulk and nontrivial Fermi arc states on the surface. As a firstly discovered Weyl semimetal,Ta As crystal possesses 12 pairs of Weyl points in the momentum space,which are topologically protected against small perturbations. Here,we report for the first time the tip induced superconductivity on Ta As crystal by point contact spectroscopy. The zero bias conductance peak as well as a conductance plateau with double conductance peaks and sharp double dips are observed in the point contact spectra simultaneously,indicating unconventional superconductivity. Our further theoretical study suggests that the induced superconductivity may have nontrivial topology. | 7 | Self-Q-switched and wavelength-tunable tungsten disulfide-based passively Q-switched Er:Y2O3 ceramic lasers显示文摘We report on diode-pumped Er:Y_2O_3 ceramic lasers at about 2.7 μm in the tunable continuous-wave, selfQ-switching and tungsten disulfide(WS2)-based passively Q-switching regimes. For stable self-Q-switched operation, the maximum output power reaches 106.6 m W under an absorbed power of 2.71 W. The shortest pulse width is measured to be about 1.39 μs at a repetition rate of 26.7 kHz at maximum output. Using a spin-coated WS2 as a saturable absorber, a passively Q-switched Er:Y_2O_3 ceramic laser is also realized with a maximum average output power of 233.5 m W(for the first time, to the best of our knowledge). The shortest pulse width decreases to 0.72 μs at a corresponding repetition rate of 29.4 kHz, which leads to a pulse energy of 7.92 μJ and a peak power of 11.0 W. | 8 | The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components.The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. | 9 | The influence of pore size distribution on thermal conductivity,permeability, and phase change behavior of hierarchical porous materials显示文摘Porous foams have been widely employed to improve heat storage rate and prevent leakage of phase change materials(PCMs).Actual porous foams have non-uniform or hierarchical pore size distribution, which is usually neglected in most researches.Here, we establish hierarchical porous models considering different pore size distributions by using Voronoi tessellations. Effects of pore size distribution on thermal conductivity, permeability, and phase change behavior of hierarchical porous foams/PCMs composites are investigated. Uneven pore size distributions are found to decrease the thermal conductivity of porous foams to some extent. On the other hand, the permeability can be reduced by 27.6%, and the heat storage rate can be improved by 7.7% by introducing moderate hierarchy without changing the total porosity. | 10 | Geochemistry and petrogenesis of Late Ladinian OIB-like basalts from Tabai,Yunnan Province,China显示文摘Major and trace elements analysis has been carried out on the Late Ladinian Tabai basalts from Yunnan Province with the aim of studying their petrogenesis. Their SiO2 contents range from 43.63 wt.% to 48.23 wt.%. The basalts belong to the weakly alkaline(average total alkalis Na2 O+K2O=3.59 wt.%), high-Ti(3.21 wt.% to 4.32 wt.%) magma series. The basalts are characterized by OIB-like trace elements patterns, which are enriched in large ion lithosphile elements(LILE) including Rb and Ba, and display negative K, Zr and Hf anomalies as shown on the spider diagrams. The Tabai basalts display light rare-earth elements(LREE) enrichment and are depleted in heavy rare-earth elements(HREE) on the REE pattern. Those dates indicate that the parental magma of the Tabai basalts was derived from low-degree(1%–5%) partial melting of garnet peridotite. The magma underwent olivine fractional crystallization and minor crustal contamination during their ascent. | 11 | Generalizing the Gerchberg–Saxton algorithm for retrieving complex optical transmission matrices显示文摘The Gerchberg–Saxton(GS)algorithm,which retrieves phase information from the measured intensities on two related planes(the source plane and the target plane),has been widely adopted in a variety of applications when holographic methods are challenging to be implemented.In this work,we showed that the GS algorithm can be generalized to retrieve the unknown propagating function that connects these two planes.As a proof-of-concept,we employed the generalized GS(GGS)algorithm to retrieve the optical transmission matrix(TM)of a complex medium through the measured intensity distributions on the target plane.Numerical studies indicate that the GGS algorithm can efficiently retrieve the optical TM while maintaining accuracy.With the same training data set,the computational time cost by the GGS algorithm is orders of magnitude less than that consumed by other non-holographic methods reported in the literature.Besides numerical investigations,we also experimentally demonstrated retrieving the optical TMs of a stack of ground glasses and a 1-m-long multimode fiber using the GGS algorithm.The accuracy of the retrieved TM was evaluated by synthesizing high-quality single foci and multiple foci on the target plane through these complex media.These results indicate that the GGS algorithm can handle a large TM with high efficiency,showing great promise in a variety of applications in optics. | GUOQIANG HUANG DAIXUAN WU JIAWEI LUO LIANG LU FAN LI YUECHENG SHEN ZHAOHUI LI | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,1: | 2 |
| 12 | Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. | 13 | Inhibiting manganese(Ⅱ)from catalyzing electrolyte decomposition in lithium-ion batteries显示文摘A once overlooked source of electrolyte degradation incurred by dissolved manganese(Ⅱ)species in lithium-ion batteries has been identified recently.In order to deactivate the catalytic activity of such manganese(II)ion,1-aza-12-crown-4-ether(A12C4)with cavity size well matched manganese(Ⅱ)ion is used in this work as electrolyte additive.Theoretical and experimental results show that stable complex forms between A12C4 and manganese(II)ions in the electrolyte,which does not affect the solvation of Li ions.The strong binding effect of A12C4 additive reduces the charge density of manganese(II)ion and inhibits its destruction of the PF_(6)^(-)structure in the electrolyte,leading to greatly improved thermal stability of manganese(II)ions-containing electrolyte.In addition to bulk electrolyte,A12C4 additive also shows capability in preventing Mn^(2+) from degrading SEI on graphite surface.Such bulk and interphasial stability introduced by A12C4 leads to significantly improved cycling performance of LIBs. | Xuehuan Luo Lidan Xing Jenel Vatamanu Jiawei Chen Jiakun Chen Mingzhu Liu Cun Wang Kang Xu Weishan Li | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2: | 2 |
| 14 | Recycle spent graphite to defect-engineered,high-power graphite anode显示文摘Graphite is a dominant anode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to its outstanding electrochemical performance.However,slow lithium ion(Li+)kinetics of graphite anode restricts its further application.Herein,we report that high-temperature shock(HTS)can drive spent graphite(SG)into defect-rich recycled graphite(DRG)which is ideal for high-rate anode.The DRG exhibits the charging specific capacity of 323 mAh/g at a high current density of 2 C,which outperforms commercial graphite(CG,120 mAh/g).The eminent electrochemical performance of DRG can be attributed to the recovery of layered structure and partial remaining defects of SG during ultrafast heating and cooling process,which can effectively reduce total strain energy,accelerate the phase transition in thermodynamics and improve the Li+diffusion.This study provides a facile strategy to guide the re-graphitization of SG and design high performance battery electrode materials by defect engineering from the atomic level. | Jiawei Luo Jingchao Zhang Zhaoxin Guo Zhedong Liu Shuming Dou Wei-Di Liu Yanan Chen Wenbin Hu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 2 |

| 19 | Kinetic study of electrochemically produced hydrogen bubbles on Pt electrodes with tailored geometries显示文摘Understanding bubbles evolution kinetics on electrodes with varied geometries is of fundamental importance for advanced electrodes design in gas evolution reaction.In this work,the evolution kinetics of electro-generated hydrogen bubbles are recorded in situ on three(i.e.smooth,nanoporous,and nanoarray)Pt electrodes to identify the geometry dependence.The bubble radius shows a time-dependent growth kinetic,which is tightly-connected to the electrode geometry.Among the three electrodes,the smooth one shows a typical time coefficient of 0.5,in consistence with reported values;the nanoporous one shows a time coefficient of 0.47,less than the classic one(0.5);while the nanoarray one exhibits fastest bubble growth kinetics with a time coefficient higher than 0.5(0.54).Moreover,the nanoarray electrode has the smallest bubble detachment size and the largest growth coefficient(23.3)of all three electrodes.Based on the experimental results,a growth model combined direct bottom-injection with micro-convection is proposed to illustrate the surface geometry dependent coefficients,i.e.,the relationship between geometry and bubble evolution kinetics.The direct injection of generated gas molecules from the bottom of bubbles at the three phase boundaries are believed the key to tailor the bubble wetting states and thus determine the bubble evolution kinetics. | Jingshan Qin Tianhui Xie Daojin Zhou Liang Luo Zhengyi Zhang Zhicheng Shang Jiawei Li Lagnamayee Mohapatra Jinwen Yu Haijun Xu Xiaoming Sun | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,7: | 1 |
