| 4 | Utilization of Ogura CMS germplasm with the clubroot resistance gene by fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement in Brassica oleracea L显示文摘Clubroot disease,a major plant root disease caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae,has become one of the most destructive diseases among cultivated cruciferous vegetables.However,clubroot-resistant Brassica oleracea materials are rare.A few clubroot-resistant cabbage varieties are available on the market,but all are Ogura cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)types.Therefore,in this study,to reutilize the clubroot-resistant Ogura CMS germplasm of cabbage,a new fertility-restored Ogura CMS material,16Q2-11,was used as a bridge to transfer the clubroot resistance(CR)gene from the Ogura CMS cytoplasm to the normal cytoplasm by a two-step method(a fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement method).In the first cross for fertility restoration of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbage(FRCRC),16Q2-11 was used as a restorer to cross with Ogura CMS materials containing the CR gene CRb2.Eleven Rfo-positive progenies were generated,of which four contained CRb2:F8-514,F8-620,F8-732 and F8-839.After inoculation with race 4 of P.brassicae,these four CRb2-positive individuals showed resistance.Furthermore,F8-514 and F8-839 were then used as male parents in the second cross of FRCRC to cross with cabbage inbred lines,resulting in the successful introgression of the CRb2 gene into the inbred lines.All offspring produced from this step of cross,which had a normal cytoplasm,showed a high resistance to race 4 of P.brassicae and could be utilized for the breeding of clubrootresistant cabbage varieties in the future.This is the first time that the Ogura CMS restorer has been used to restore the fertility of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbages,which could improve germplasm diversity in cabbage and provide a reference method for using CMS germplasm in Brassica crops. | Wenjing Ren Zhiyuan Li Fengqing Han Bin Zhang Xing Li Zhiyuan Fang Limei Yang Mu Zhuang Honghao Lv Yumei Liu Yong Wang Hailong Yu Yangyong Zhang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 7 |
| 5 | Pharmacogenetic Correlates of Antipsychotic-Induced Weight Gain in the Chinese Population显示文摘Antipsychotic-induced weight gain(AIWG) is a common adverse effect of this treatment, particularly with second-generation antipsychotics, and it is a major health problem around the world. We aimed to review the progress of pharmacogenetic studies on AIWG in the Chinese population to compare the results for Chinese with other ethnic populations, identify the limitations and problems of current studies, and provide future research directions in China. Both English and Chinese electronic databases were searched to identify eligible studies. We determined that [ 25 single-nucleotide polymorphisms in19 genes have been investigated in association with AIWG in Chinese patients over the past few decades. HTR2 C rs3813929 is the most frequently studied single-nucleotide polymorphism, and it seems to be the most strongly associated with AIWG in the Chinese population. However, many genes that have been reported to be associated with AIWG in other ethnic populations have not beenincluded in Chinese studies. | 6 | Statistical and frequency analysis of the pressure fluctuation in a fluidized bed of non-spherical particles显示文摘In this paper,the pressure fluctuation in a fluidized bed was measured and processed via standard deviation and power spectrum analysis to investigate the dynamic behavior of the transition from the bubbling to turbulent regime.Two types[Geldart B and D) of non-spherical particles,screened from real bed materials,and their mixture were used as the bed materials.The experiments were conducted in a semiindustrial testing apparatus.The experimental results indicated that the fluidization characteristics of the non-spherical Geldart D particles differed from that of the spherical particles at gas velocities beyond the transition velocity U_c.The standard deviation of the pressure fluctuation measured in the bed increased with the gas velocity,while that measured in the plenum remained constant.Compared to the coarse particles,the fine particles exerted a stronger influence on the dynamic behavior of the fluidized bed and promoted the fluidization regime transition from bubbling toward turbulent.The power spectrum of the pressure fluctuation was calculated using the auto-regressive(AR) model;the hydrodynamics of the fluidized bed were characterized by the major frequency of the power spectrum of the pressure fluctuation.By combining the standard deviation analysis,a new method was proposed to determine the transition velocity U_k via the analysis of the change in the major frequency.The first major frequency was observed to vary within the range of 1.5 to 3 Hz. | Honghao He Xiaofeng Lu Wei Shuang Quanhai Wang Yinhu Kang Liyun Yan Xuanyu Ji Guangyu Luo Hai Liu | 2014 | Particuology2014,12,5: | 6 |

| 8 | Carbonaceous Nanofibers-titanium Dioxide Nanocomposites: Synthesis and Use as a Platform for Removal of Dye Pollutants显示文摘A mild chemistry route was developed to prepare carbonaceous nanofibers-titanium dioxide(CNF-TiO_2) nanocomposites for removal of dye pollutants. In the process of the template-directed hydrothermal carbonization(HTC), ultrathin Te nanowires were adopted as templates and glucose as the carbon source, and TiO_2 was decorated on CNF via the hydrolysis of tetrabutyltitanate in the presence of CNF in ethanol. The as-prepared materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). SEM and TEM observations displayed that TiO_2 nanoparticles were anchored on the CNF. EDX and XRD data confirmed that the assynthesized samples were CNF-TiO_2, and TiO_2 belonged to anatase titania. Taking advantage of combined benefits of carbonaceous nanofibers and titanium dioxide, these CNF-TiO_2 nanocomposites exhibited higher removal efficiency in a short time and showed good reusability. It was showed that over 97% of Rhodamine B could be removed in 15 min without generating the solid and liquid wastes. The removal efficiency of dyes was still over 80% after reuse in five cycles. | 10 | Fe_3O_4@PAM@NTA-Ni^(2+) Magnetic Composite Nanoparticles for Highly Specific Separation of His-tagged Proteins显示文摘A facile approach has been developed to synthesize Fe_3O_4@PAM(polyacrylamide) nanoparticles(NPs) with carboxyl groups on the surfaces by copolymerization with acrylamide and acrylic acid in Fe_3O_4 NPs aqueous suspension. Nitrilotriacetic acid(NTA) was conjugated to the magnetic NPs via well-known carboniimide chemistry using EDC and NHS. The Ni^(2+) ions loaded on the surface of NPs provide abundant docking sites for immobilization of His-tagged green fluorescent proteins(His-tagged GFP). The high magnetic property of Fe_3O_4@PAM@NTA-Ni^(2+) allows an easy separation of the NPs from solution under an external magnetic field, with high His-tagged protein binding capacity(42 μg protein/mg of NPs). The NPs can be recycled for at least four times without significant loss of binding capacity to proteins. | 12 | Bipartite graph-based control flow checking for COTS-based small satellites显示文摘Single event upset(SEU)effect,caused by highly energized particles in aerospace,threatens the reliability and security of small satellites composed of commercial-off-the-shelves(COTS).SEUinduced control flow errors(CFEs)may cause unpredictable behavior or crashes of COTS-based small satellites.This paper proposes a generic software-based control flow checking technique(CFC)and bipartite graph-based control flow checking(BGCFC).To simplify the types of illegal branches,it transforms the conventional control flow graph into the equivalent bipartite graph.It checks the legality of control flow at runtime by comparing a global signature with the expected value and introduces consecutive IDs and bitmaps to reduce the time and memory overhead.Theoretical analysis shows that BGCFC can detect all types of inter-node CFEs with constant time and memory overhead.Practical tests verify the result of theoretical analysis.Compared with previous techniques,BGCFC achieves the highest error detection rate,lower time and memory overhead;the composite result in evaluation factor shows that BGCFC is the most effective one among all these techniques.The results in both theory and practice verify the applicability of BGCFC for COTS-based small satellites. | Wang Honghao Wang Huiquan Jin Zhonghe | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,3: | 2 |

Moreover,the particle size and structural properties of Znq-CMS-COOH were characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),dynamic light scattering(DLS),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),UV-vis spectrometer, fluorescence spectrometer and nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurements. The obtained results suggest that the Znq-CMS-COOH presents the uniform spherical shape with the mean diameter of about 85 nm and the obvious wormhole arrangement mesoporous. In addition, the Znq-CMS-COOH possesses green fluorescence with the emission peaks at 495 nm. | 17 | Downstream signaling of reactive oxygen species,protein kinase C epsilon translocation and delayed neuroprotection in sevoflurane preconditioned rats following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion显示文摘BACKGROUND:Brief exposure to the anesthetic sevoflurane results in delayed neuroprotection. However,few studies have addressed delayed neuroprotection after preconditioning with a single administration of sevoflurane. OBJECTIVE:To explore the relationship between a single preconditioning administration of sevoflurane and reactive oxygen species production and protein kinase C-epsilon(PKC-ε) translocation. DESIGN,TIME,AND SETTING:The randomized,controlled,animal experiment was conducted at the Central Laboratory,Xiangya Hospital,Central South University,China from November 2007 to April 2008. MATERIALS:A total of 120 healthy,male,Sprague Dawley rats were equally and randomly assigned into five groups:sham operation,ischemia/reperfusion,sevoflurane,2-mercaptopropionylglycine (2-MPG,a selective reactive oxygen species scavenger) + sevoflurane(MPG + sevoflurane),and MPG.Sevoflurane(Baxter,USA) and MPG(Sigma,USA) were used in this study. METHODS:Intervention consisted of three procedures.(1) MPG injection:a selective reactive oxygen species scavenger,MPG(20 mg/kg),was infused into the rat caudal vein in the MPG and MPG + sevoflurane groups.(2) Sevoflurane preconditioning:30 minutes following MPG injection, rats in the sevoflurane and MPG + sevoflurane groups breathed a mixed gas of 2.4%sevoflurane and 97.6%oxygen for 60 minutes.Rats in the sham operation,ischemia/reperfusion,and MPG groups breathed 100%pure oxygen for 60 minutes.(3) Ischemia/reperfusion:24 hours after sevoflurane or pure oxygen preconditioning,middle cerebral artery occlusion models were established in the ischemia/reperfusion,sevoflurane,MPG + sevoflurane,and MPG groups. Following 2 hours ischemia/6 hours and 24 hours reperfusion,the carotid artery was separated,but the middle cerebral artery was not occluded,in the sham operation group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:In the ischemic hemisphere,PKC-εtranslocation in the rat parietal cortex was measured by Western blot analysis.Infarct volume was calculated using the TTC assay.Neurological deficits were evaluated in rats using a scoring system of 8 points. RESULTS:After 6 hours reperfusion,the ratio of PKC-εin membrane/(cytosol + membrane) was significantly less in the sham operation group than in the ischemia/reperfusion,sevoflurane,MPG + sevoflurane),and MPG groups(P<0.05).The ratio of PKC-εin membrane/(cytosol + membrane) was significantly greater in the sevoflurane group than in the sham operation,ischemia/reperfusion, MPG + sevoflurane,and MPG groups(P<0.05).No significant differences were observed in the ischemia/reperfusion,MPG + sevoflurane,and MPG groups(P>0.05).Following 24 hours reperfusion, the ratio of PKC-εin membrane/(cytosol + membrane) was significantly less in the sham operation group than in the ischemia/reperfusion,sevoflurane,MPG + sevoflurane,and MPG groups(P<0.05). No significant differences were detected in the ischemia/reperfusion,sevoflurane,MPG + sevoflurane, and MPG groups(P>0.05).Compared with the ischemia/reperfusion,MPG + sevoflurane,and MPG groups,infarct volume was significantly smaller,and neurological deficits were significantly improved, in the sevoflurane group(P<0.05).No significant differences in infarct volume and neurological deficits were observed among the ischemia/reperfusion,MPG + sevoflurane,and MPG groups(P>0.05).Infarcts or neurological deficits were not detected in the sham operation group.
