1Estimation of biomass in wheat using random forest regression algorithm and remote sensing data显示文摘Wheat biomass can be estimated using appropriate spectral vegetation indices.However,the accuracy of estimation should be further improved for on-farm crop management.Previous studies focused on developing vegetation indices,however limited research exists on modeling algorithms.The emerging Random Forest(RF) machine-learning algorithm is regarded as one of the most precise prediction methods for regression modeling.The objectives of this study were to(1) investigate the applicability of the RF regression algorithm for remotely estimating wheat biomass,(2) test the performance of the RF regression model,and(3) compare the performance of the RF algorithm with support vector regression(SVR) and artificial neural network(ANN) machine-learning algorithms for wheat biomass estimation.Single HJ-CCD images of wheat from test sites in Jiangsu province were obtained during the jointing,booting,and anthesis stages of growth.Fifteen vegetation indices were calculated based on these images.In-situ wheat above-ground dry biomass was measured during the HJ-CCD data acquisition.The results showed that the RF model produced more accurate estimates of wheat biomass than the SVR and ANN models at each stage,and its robustness is as good as SVR but better than ANN.The RF algorithm provides a useful exploratory and predictive tool for estimating wheat biomass on a large scale in Southern China.Li'ai Wang Xudong Zhou Xinkai Zhu Zhaodi Dong Wenshan Guo 2016The Crop Journal2016,4,3:30
2Photodegradation of methyl orange by BiOI-sensitized TiO_2显示文摘BiOI-sensitized titanium dioxide (TiO2) photocatalysts were prepared by a deposition method at room temperature and characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area measurements. The photocatalytic activities of the catalysts were evaluated for the degradation of methyl orange (MO) solution under UV and visible light irradiation. The effects of catalyst amount, initial pH value, initial concentration of MO, as well as KI amount were investigated. The repeatability of photocatalytic activity of the 1.7% BiOI/TiO2 catalyst was also tested. It is shown that BiOI sensitization enhances the photocatalytic activities of TiO2. With BiOI content increasing, the photocatalytic activities of BiOI/TiO2 under UV and visible light irradiation first increase, reaching a maximum around BiOI content of 1.7%, and then decrease with further increasing BiOI content. The 1.7% BiOI/TiO2 catalyst obviously exhibits much higher visible light photocatalytic activity than P25, and its UV light photocatalytic activity is slightly higher than that of P25. Under the conditions of a catalytic dose of 1.5 g.L-1, initial pH of 3.0, initial MO concentration of 20 mg.L-1, UV power of 300 W, and air flow rate of 0.8 L.min-1, complete degradatio is achieved within 60 min. 3Performance of 3D TPN against true-arbitrarily maneuvering target for exoatmospheric interception显示文摘True proportional navigation(TPN) guidance law is widely used for exoatmospheric interception, for its robustness and ease of implementation. The performance of TPN against nonmaneuvering target or the maneuvering target with a specific acceleration had been analyzed before. However, the obtained results are not suitable for the realistic exoatmospheric interception scenario,since the target may maneuver along an arbitrary direction with an arbitrary but upper-bounded acceleration in the threedimensional(3 D) space, which is the so-called 'true-arbitrarily maneuvering target' in this paper. With the help of the line-ofsight(LOS) rotation coordinate system, the performance of 3 D TPN against the true-arbitrarily maneuvering target is thoroughly analyzed using the Lyapunov-like approach. The upper-bound of the 3 D LOS rate is obtained, and so is that of the commanded acceleration of 3 D TPN. After that, the capture region of 3 D TPN is presented on the initial relative velocity plane. The nonlinear3 D relative kinematics between the interceptor and the target is taken into full account. 5A novel biased proportional navigation guidance law for close approach phase显示文摘A novel biased proportional navigation guidance(BPNG) law is proposed for the close approach phase, which aims to make the spacecraft rendezvous with the target in specific relative range and direction. Firstly, in order to describe the special guidance requirements, the concept of zero effort miss vector is proposed and the dangerous area where there exists collision risk for safety consideration is defined. Secondly, the BPNG, which decouples the range control and direction control, is designed in the line-of-sight(LOS) rotation coordinate system. The theoretical analysis proves that BPNG meets guidance requirements quite well. Thirdly, for the consideration of fuel consumption, the optimal biased proportional navigation guidance(OBPNG) law is derived by solving the Schwartz inequality. 6Blocking of the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction by a novel cyclic peptide inhibitor for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘The interaction of PD-1/PD-L1 allows tumor cells to escape from immune surveillance.Clinical success of the antibody drugs has proven that blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy.Here,we developed a cyclic peptide C8 by using Ph.D.-C7 C phage display technology.C8 showed high binding affinity with h PD-1 and could effectively interfere the interaction of PD-1/PD-L1.Furthermore,C8 could stimulate CD8^(+)T cell activation in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).We also observed that C8 could suppress tumor growth in CT26 and B16-OVA,as well as anti-PD-1 antibody resistant B16 mouse model.CD8^(+)T cells infiltration significantly increased in tumor microenvironment,and IFN-γsecretion by CD8^(+)T cells in draining lymph nodes also increased.Simultaneously,we exploited T cells depletion models and confirmed that C8 exerted anti-tumor effects via activating CD8^(+)T cells dependent manner.The interaction model of C8 with h PD-1 was simulated and confirmed by alanine scanning.In conclusion,C8 shows anti-tumor capability by blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 interaction,and C8 may provide an alternative candidate for cancer immunotherapy.Wenjie Zhai Xiuman Zhou Mingxia Zhai Wanqiong Li Yunhui Ran Yixuan Sun Jiangfeng Du Wenshan Zhao Lingxiao Xing Yuanming Qi Yanfeng Gao 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,4:5
7Performance analysis of three-dimensional differential geometric guidance law against low-speed maneuvering targets显示文摘The performance of the three-dimensional differential geometric guidance law with proportional navigation formation against a target maneuvering arbitrarily with time-varying normal acceleration is thoroughly analyzed using the Lyapunov-like approach.The validation of this guidance law is firstly proved,and then the performance issues such as capturability,heading error control efficiency,line of sight rate convergence,and commanded acceleration requirement are analyzed,under the condition that the missile is initially flying toward the target with a speed advantage.It is proved that an intercept can occur and the line of sight rate and missile commanded acceleration can be limited in certain ranges,if the initial heading error is small and the navigation gain is sufficiently large.The nonlinear relative dynamics between the missile and the target is taken into full account,and the analysis process is simple and intuitive,due to the use of a convenient line of sight rotating coordinate system.Finally,the new theoretical findings are validated by numerical simulations.Kebo Li Wenshan Su Lei Chen 2018Astrodynamics2018,2,3:3
8Porosity Effects on Mechanical Properties of 3D Random Fibrous Materials at Elevated Temperatures显示文摘In this study,we prepare the specimens of three-dimensional random fibrous(3D RF)material along its through-the-thickness(TTT)and in-plane(IP)directions.The experimental tests of tensile and compressive properties as well as fracture toughness of 3D RF material are performed at elevated temperatures.Then,the porosity(83%,87%and 89%)and temperature dependence of the tensile and compressive strength,elastic modulus,fracture toughness and fracture surface energy of the 3D RF materials for both the TTT and IP directions are analyzed.From the results of the tensile strength and elastic modulus versus material porosities at various temperatures,we find that tensile strength and elastic modulus for the TTT direction are more sensitive to the porosity,but not for the IP direction.Fracture toughness increases firstly and then decreases at a certain critical temperature.Such critical temperature is found to be the lowest for the porosity of 83%.On the other hand,at below 1073 K,the temperature-dependent fracture surface energies with three porosities for the TTT direction show similar variation trends.Datao Li Wenshan Yu Wei Xia Qinzhi Fang Shengping Shen 2020Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2020,33,1:2

10Whole-exome sequencing identified compound heterozygous variants in MMKS in a Chinese pedigree with Bardet-Biedl syndrome显示文摘Bardet-Biedl syndrome(BBS) is a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by retinal dystrophy, polydactyly, obesity,developmental delay, and renal defects. At least 21 candidate BBS-associated genes(BBS1-19, NPHP1, and IFT172) have previously been identified, and all of them play important roles in ciliary function. Here, we collected a BBS pedigree with four members and performed whole-exome sequencing on the proband. The variants were analyzed and evaluated to confirm their pathogenicity. We found compound heterozygous variants(c.1192C>T, p.Q398* and c.1175C>T, p.T392M) in MKKS in both the siblings, and these were likely to be pathogenic variants. We also found a missense variant(c.2029G>C, p.E677Q) in NPHP1 and a missense variant(c.2470C>T, p.R824C) in BBS9 in the proband only, which are variants of uncertain significance. 11Research Advancements in Key Technologies for Space-Based Situational Awareness显示文摘The space environment has become highly congested due to the increasing space debris,seriously threatening the safety of orbiting spacecraft.Space-based situational awareness,as a comprehensive capability of threat knowledge,analysis,and decision-making,is of significant importance to ensure space security and maintain normal order.Various space situational awareness systems have been designed and launched.Data acquisition,target recognition,and monitoring constituting key technologies make major contributions,and various advanced algorithms are explored as technical supports.However,comprehensive reviews of these technologies and specific algorithms rarely emerge.It disadvantages the future development of space situational awareness.Therefore,this paper further reviews and analyzes research advancements in key technologies for space situational awareness,emphasizing target recognition and monitoring.Many mature and emerging methods are presented for these technologies while discussing application advantages and limitations.Specially,the research prospects of multiagent and synergetic constellation technologies are expected for future situational awareness.This paper indicates the future directions of the key technologies,aiming to provide references for space-based situational awareness to realize space sustainability.Beichao Wang Shuang Li Jinzhen Mu Xiaolong Hao Wenshan Zhu Jiaqian Hu 2022Space(Science & Technology)2022,,1:1

13Multifunctional oxygen-enriching nano-theranostics for cancer-specific magnetic resonance imaging and enhanced photodynamic/photothermal therapy显示文摘The combination of photodynamic therapy(PDT)and photothermal therapy(PTT)has attracted much interest in recent years,but non-specific distribution of photosensitizers and intrinsic tumor hypoxic microenvironment have continued to limit its therapeutic efficiency.We herein report a nano-theranostic system,denoted as Ce6-CuS/MSN@PDA@MnO2-FA NPs,which combines PDT,PTT,magnetic resonance(MR)imaging with hypoxia-relieving and tumor-targeting functionalities.Central to this design is the use of mussel-inspired polydopamine(PDA)coating to encapsulate the chlorin e6(Ce6)and copper sulfide nanoparticles(CuS NPs)loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle(MSN)core.The PDA coating not only acts as pH sensitive gatekeeper to prevent the premature release of Ce6 under non-acidic tumor microenvironment(TME),but also facilitates post-functionalization so that hypoxia-relieving MnO2 nano-sheets and tumor-targeting ligand folic acid-PEG-thiol(FA-PEG-SH)can be decorated on the outer part of the drug system.In vitro and in vivo measurements clearly demonstrated that all these functionalities worked synergistically as expected.The system,having a low dark cytotoxicity,can be effectively internalized by 4T1 cells and decrease the cell viability to 2%upon 660 nm/808 nm laser irradiation.Tumors in 4T1 tumor-bearing mice can almost be completely destroyed in 2 weeks via combined PDT/PTT.Together with the TME-sensitive MR imaging performance demonstrated,Ce6-CuS/MSN@PDA@MnO2-FA NPs represent a multifunctional prototype which holds great potential to be developed into clinical theranostics.Li Zhang Zhe Yang Jinghua Ren Li Ba Wenshan He Chun-Yuen Wong 2020Nano Research2020,13,5:1
14Forest succession trajectories after fi res in valleys and on slopes in the Greater Khingan Mountains,China显示文摘Accurate assessment of postfire vegetation recovery is important for forest management and the conservation of species diversity.Topography is an important factor aff ecting vegetation recovery but whether species composition varies with diff erent recovery stages and between valleys and slopes is unclear.Using fi eld data and a space-for-time substitution method,we quantifi ed species richness and diversity to obtain the successional trajectories of valleys and slopes.We surveyed the species of 10 burned areas from 1986 to 2010 in the Greater Khingan Mountains in northeastern China,and found that with increasing postfi re recovery time,species richness in both valleys and slopes gradually decreased.However,species richness in valleys was relatively higher.Shrubs recovered rapidly in the valleys,and species diversity maximized approximately 11 years after fi re.However,it maximized 17–18 years after fi re on the slopes.Numerous shade-tolerant species were present in the valleys 11 years after fi re but not until after 18 years on slopes.Larch appeared earlier than 11 years after fi re and its recovery was slow in the valleys but appeared quickly on slopes and established dominance early.Our study provides some new insights into vegetation succession after fi re at local scales.After fi re,the vegetation recovery processes diff er with topography and it aff ects the initial rate of recovery and species composition at diff erent successional stages.Chao Zhong Meng Guo Fenfen Zhou Jianuo Li Fangbing Yu Futao Guo Wenshan Li 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,3:1

16Principles of carbon nanotube dielectrophoresis显示文摘Dielectrophoresis(DEP)describes the motion of suspended objects when exposed to an inhomogeneous electric field.It has been successful as a method for parallel and site-selective assembling of nanotubes from a dispersion into a sophisticated device architecture.Researchers have conducted extensive works to understand the DEP of nanotubes in aqueous ionic surfactant solutions.However,only recently,DEP was applied to polymer-wrapped single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)in organic solvents due to the availability of ultra-pure SWCNT content.In this paper,the focus is on the difference between the DEP in aqueous and organic solutions.It starts with an introduction into the DEP of carbon nanotubes(CNT-DEP)to provide a comprehensive,in-depth theoretical background before discussing in detail the experimental procedures and conditions.For academic interests,this work focuses on the CNT-DEP deposition scheme,discusses the importance of the electrical double layer,and employs finite element simulations to optimize CNT-DEP deposition condition with respect to the experimental observation.An important outcome is an understanding of why DEP in organic solvents allows for the deposition and alignment of SWCNTs in low-frequency and even static electric fields,and why the response of semiconducting SWCNTs(s-SWCNTs)is strongly enhanced in non-conducting,weakly polarizable media.Strategies to further improve CNT-DEP for s-SWCNT-relevant applications are given as well.Overall,this work should serve as a practical guideline to select the appropriate setting for effective CNT DEPs.Wenshan Li Frank Hennrich Benjamin S.Flavel Simone Dehm Manfred Kappes Ralph Krupke 2021Nano Research2021,14,7:1

19Gradient-based method for the identification of multi-nodes in sugarcane显示文摘In view of the obvious changes in color between the upper and lower leaf scar in sugarcane nodes,a method of simultaneous multi-nodes identification on a single sugarcane stem was proposed based on the analysis of gradient characteristics of sugarcane images.In combination with image processing and machine vision recognition technology,two cameras were used to acquire different parts of sugarcane images,and the two images were integrated into a complete image of sugarcane by image mosaicking.The Sobel operator is used to calculate the gradient of the sugarcane image in a horizontal direction,and the gradient image is obtained.The sugarcane gradient image was scanned by a rectangular template with a width of 14 pixels and a step length of 12 pixels.The features of average gradient and variance gradient were used to identify sugarcane nodes for the first time.The experimental results showed that the recognition accuracy was 96.8952%,and there were fewer false detected sugarcane segments.The detection efficiency could be improved by detecting multi-nodes on a single sugarcane stem at the same time.Rui Yang Jie Li Qi Liu Wenshan Huang Kai Yin Xi Qiao Yiqi Huang 2020Information Processing in Agriculture2020,7,4:1
