1Recent progress in thermodynamics of radiation——exergy of radiation, effective temperature of photon and entropy constant of photon显示文摘The recent progress on thermodynamic properties of spectral radiant energy in the field of thermodynamics of radiation is reviewed. The effective temperature of photon Tλ representing the energy quality of photon is introduced. The relation between Tλ and the wavelength λ is given as λTλ =c3=5.33016×10?3 m·K. The en- tropy constant of photon is given as sλ=3.72680×10?23 J/K. The exergy, entropy and enthalpy of the spectral blackbody radiation, the equilibrium cavity radiation, the radiation flux in open system are discussed by using Tλ and sλ, as well as the en- tropy change in the process of the state transformation of photon gas. By analyzing the exergy of spectral radiation, the exergy efficiency of spectral radiant energy available for photosynthesis is proved to be higher than that of light energy. 3Local delivery of superagonist gene based on polymer nanoparticles for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer is the leading cause that threatens human life expectancy due to the lack of effective therapies.Cancer immunotherapy has been explored to improve the body's immune system against cancer and accompanied by promising results in recent years.Interleukin 15(IL-15),a pleiotropic immunomodulator,is critical for immune cells development and displays great anti-tumor potential in both preclinical and clinical trials.In this study,superagonist IL-15 plasmid(psIL-15)consisting of IL-15Rα-sushi-linker-IL-15 was constructed in order to secret superagonist IL-15(sIL-15)in tumor site.A gene delivery system through self-assembly by methylated polyethylene glycol-b-polylactic acid-b-methylated polyethylene glycol(m PEG-PLA-m PEG)and 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium-propane(DOTAP),named DMAM,was designed to deliver psIL-15.Further study showed that DMAM/psIL-15 could successfully deliver psIL-15 to tumor cells and the supernatants of the tumor cells could further stimulate lymphocytes proliferation as well as activation in vitro.Local delivery of DMAM/psIL-15 in animal models demonstrated significant tumor inhibition through enhancing immune cells responses,reducing angiogenesis,promoting tumor cell apoptosis and inhibiting proliferation,with no evidence of system toxicities.These results indicate that DMAM/psIL-15 may be a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy.Zehua Hong Xin Zan Ting Yu Yuzhu Hu Hongfeng Gou Songping Zheng Xiang Gao Peizhi Zhou 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,3:1

7pIL-12 delivered by polymer based nanovector for anti-tumor genetherapy显示文摘Finding more effective and safe non-viral vectors to transfer genes into cancer cells has become the key of immune gene therapy for cancer.Herein a triblock compound MPEG_(2000)-PDLLA_(4000)-MPEG_(2000) modified by cationic liposome DOTAP was used as a non-viral vector DOTAP/MPEG_(2000)-PDLLA_(4000)-MPEG_(2000)(DMPM)to effectively transfer interleukin(IL)-12 plasmid(pIL-12)into tumor tissue.IL-12 produced by transfected tumor cells successfully inducing lymphocyte proliferation and promoting interferon-γ(IFN-γ)secretion,which resulted in tumor cells death.The ability of DMPM to transfer pIL-12 and the immune effect induced by IL-12 in cells had been explored.The anti-tumor effect,mechanism and safety of pIL-12/DMPM in mice cancer model were investigated in this study.Our results showed that the pIL-12 transferred by DMPM was highly expressed both in CT26 cells and B16-F10 cells.IL-12 expressed in the culture supernatant of transfected tumor cells stimulated lymphocyte proliferation and promoted IFN-γsecretion.The experimental result confirmed that pIL-12/DMPM therapy significantly reduced tumor growth in mice model.We designed the nanocomposite DMPM to deliver pIL-12 for cancer treatment and explored its therapeutic efficacy and the underlying anti-tumor mechanism.Our study suggested pIL-12 loaded by DMPM complex would be an effective strategy for cancer treatment.Lianbin Wen Xin Zan Qidi Pang Yuzhu Hu Songping Zheng Mengni Ran Xiang Gao Xiang Wang Bilan Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,11:0
8Leaf Morphology Genes SRL1 and RENL1 Co-Regulate Cellulose Synthesis and Affect Rice Drought Tolerance显示文摘The morphological development of rice(Oryza sativa L.)leaves is closely related to plant architecture,physiological activities,and resistance.However,it is unclear whether there is a co-regulatory relationship between the morphological development of leaves and adaptation to drought environment.In this study,a drought-sensitive,roll-enhanced,and narrow-leaf mutant(renl1)was induced from a semi-rolled leaf mutant(srl1)by ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS),which was obtained from Nipponbare(NPB)through EMS.Map-based cloning and functional validation showed that RENL1 encodes a cellulose synthase,allelic to NRL1/OsCLSD4.The RENL1 mutation resulted in reduced vascular bundles,vesicular cells,cellulose,and hemicellulose contents in cell walls,diminishing the water-holding capacity of leaves.In addition,the root system of the renl1 mutant was poorly developed and its ability to scavenge reactive oxygen species(ROS)was decreased,leading to an increase in ROS after drought stress.Meanwhile,genetic results showed that RENL1 and SRL1 synergistically regulated cell wall components.Our results revealed a theoretical basis for further elucidating the molecular regulation mechanism of cellulose on rice drought tolerance,and provided a new genetic resource for enhancing the synergistic regulation network of plant type and stress resistance,thereby realizing simultaneous improvement of multiple traits in rice.LIU Dan ZHAO Huibo WANG Zi’an XU Jing LIU Yiting WANG Jiajia CHEN Minmin LIU Xiong ZHANG Zhihai CEN Jiangsu ZHU Li HU Jiang REN Deyong GAO Zhenyu DONG Guojun ZHANG Qiang SHEN Lan LI Qing QIAN Qian HU Songping ZHANG Guangheng 2024Rice science2024,31,1:0
