SURFACE STRESS EFFECT IN MECHANICS OF NANOSTRUCTURED MATERIALS显示文摘This review article summarizes the advances in the surface stress effect in mechanics of nanostructured elements, including nanoparticles, nanowires, nanobeams, and nanofilms, and heterogeneous materials containing nanoscale inhomogeneities. It begins with the fundamental formulations of surface mechanics of solids, including the definition of surface stress as a surface excess quantity, the surface constitutive relations, and the surface equilibrium equations. Then,it depicts some theoretical and experimental studies of the mechanical properties of nanostructured elements,as well as the static and dynamic behaviour of cantilever sensors caused by the surface stress which is influenced by adsorption.Afterwards, the article gives a summary of the analytical elasto-static and dynamic solutions of a single as well as multiple inhomogeneities embedded in a matrix with the interface stress prevailing. The effect of surface elasticity on the diffraction of elastic waves is elucidated.Due to the difficulties in the analytical solution of inhomogeneities of complex shapes and configurations, finite element approaches have been developed for heterogeneous materials with the surface stress.Surface stress and surface energy are inherently related to crack propagation and the stress field in the vicinity of crack tips. The solutions of crack problems taking into account surface stress effects are also included.Predicting the effective elastic and plastic responses of heterogeneous materials while taking into account surface and interface stresses has received much attention. The advances in this topic are inevitably delineated.Mechanics of rough surfaces appears to deserve special attention due to its theoretical and practical implications. Some most recent work is reviewed. Finally, some challenges are pointed out. They include the characterization of surfaces and interfaces of real nanomaterials, experimental measurements and verification of mechanical parameters of complex surfaces, and the effects of the physical and chemical processes on the surface properties, etc. | Jianxiang Wang Zhuping Huang Huiling Duan Shouwen Yu Xiqiao Feng Gangfeng Wang Weixu Zhang Tiejun Wang | 2011 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2011,24,1: | 11
Impact of time lags on diurnal estimates of canopy transpiration and canopy conductance from sap-flow measurements of Populus cathayana in the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Recently, canopy transpiration(Ec) has been often estimated by xylem sap-flow measurements. However, there is a significant time lag between sap flow measured at the base of the stem and canopy transpiration due to the capacitive exchange between the transpiration stream and stem water storage. Significant errors will be introduced in canopy conductance(gc) and canopy transpiration estimation if the time lag is neglected. In this study, a cross-correlation analysis was used to quantify the time lag, and the sap flowbased transpiration was measured to parameterize Jarvistype models of gcand thus to simulate Ecof Populus cathayana using the Penman–Monteith equation. The results indicate that solar radiation(Rs) and vapor pressure deficit(VPD) are not fully coincident with sap flow and have an obvious lag effect; the sap flow lags behind Rsand precedes VPD, and there is a 1-h time shift between Ecand sap flow in the 30-min interval data set. A parameterized Jarvis-type gc model is suitable to predict P. cathayana transpiration and explains more than 80% of the variation observed in gc, and the relative error was less than 25%, which shows a preferable simulation effect. The root mean square error(RMSEs)between the predicted and measured Ecwere 1.91 9 10-3(with the time lag) and 3.12 9 10-3cm h-1(without the time lag). More importantly, Ecsimulation precision that incorporates time lag is improved by 6% compared to the results without the time lag, with the mean relative error(MRE) of only 8.32% and the mean absolute error(MAE) of1.48 9 10-3cm h-1. | Hui Wang Kangning He Runjie Li Zhuping Sheng Yun Tian Jun Wen Bo Chang | 2017 | Journal of Forestry Research2017,28,3: | 3
Diversity of hydrogen sulfide concentration in plant:a little spark to start a prairie fire显示文摘The ubiquitous and versatile signal-transduction role of hydrogen sulfide (H2S)has been revealed in mammals and plants in recent years [1-5].It is very important to grasp the physiological concentrations of H2S in vivo because of its toxic characteristics at high concentrations. However, the reported data fail to reach an agreement owing to the use of different methods and technique limitations. In fact, this is a common problem for gasotransmitters. What is the exact boundary between the physiological and toxicological concentration? What is the accurate endogenous content? These problems have been plaguing us even though there are a great number of research papers that explore H2S signals. | Zhuping Jin Zhiqing Wang Guangdong Yang Yanxi Pei | 2018 | Science Bulletin2018,63,20: | 1

Optimal injection attack strategy for cyber-physical systems:a dynamic feedback approach显示文摘This paper investigates the system security problem of cyber-physical systems(CPSs),which is not only more practical but also more signi cant to deal with than the detecting faults problem. The purpose of this paper is to nd an optimal attack strategy that maximizes the output error of the attacked system with low energy consumption.Based on a general model of linear time-invariant systems and a key technical lemma,a new optimal attack strategy for the meticulously designed false data injection attack is constructed. It is worth mentioning that compared with the existing model-based attack strategies, the designed one is more general and the corresponding attack strategy is more easily implemented when system states and external input are inaccessible.Key to overcoming the inaccessible information,a dynamic observer in the form of Luenberger is constructed. Finally,a networked magnetic levitation steel ball movement system is applied to illustrate the e ectiveness of the proposed scheme. | Sheng Gao Hao Zhang Zhuping Wang Chao Huang | 2022 | Security and Safety2022,1,1: | 1

A GENERALIZED SELF-CONSISTENT MORI-TANAKA MODEL FOR PREDICTING THE EFFECTIVE MODULI OF THE COATED INCLUSION BASED COMPOSITE MATERIALS显示文摘The weak point of the generalized self-consistent method(GSCM)is that its solution forthe effective shear moduli involves determining the complicated displacement and strain fields in con-stituents.Furthermore,the effective moduli estimated by GSCM cannot be expressed in an explicitform.Instead of following the procedure of GSCM,in this paper a generalized self-consistent Mori-Tanaka method(GSCMTM)is developed by means of Hill’s interface condition and the assumptionthat the strain in the inclusion is uniform.A comparison with the existing theoretical and experimentalresults shows that the present GSCMTM is sufficiently accurate to predict the effective moduli of thecoated inclusion-based composite materials. Moreover,it is interesting to find that the application ofHill’s interface condition in volumetric domain is equivalent to the Mori-Tanaka average field approxi-mation. | Dai Lanhong Huang Zhuping Wang Ren | 1998 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica1998,11,3: | 0
H_(2)S-mediated balance regulation of stomatal and non-stomatal factors responding to drought stress in Chinese cabbage显示文摘Increased evidence has shown that hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S),a novel gasotransmitter, could enhance drought resistance in plants by inducing stomatal closure, with concurrent enhancement of photosynthetic efficiency, but little is known about the mechanism behind this contradictory phenomenon. This study examined the regulating mechanism of H_(2)S in response to drought stress fromstomatal and non-stomatal factors in Chinese cabbage. The results showed that exogenous H_(2)S could increase the accumulation of photosynthetic pigments and alleviate the damage caused by drought stress. It also regulated the expression in transcriptional level and the activity of ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase(BrRuBisCO)under drought stress. The large subunit of BrRuBisCO was found to be modified by S-sulfhydration,which might be the reason for its increased enzyme activity. The fluxes of Cl^(−),K^(+),and H^(+)in the guard cells were detected by non-invasive micro-test techniques while under drought stress. The results indicated that H_(2)S signaling induced a transmembrane Cl^(−)and H^(+)efflux and inhibited K^(+)influx, and the Cl^(−)channel was the main responders for H_(2)S-regulated stomatal movement. In conclusion,H_(2)S signal not only activated the ion channel proteins located in the guard cell membrane to induce stomatal closure, but also regulated the transcriptional expression and the activity of RuBisCO,a non-stomatal factor to enhance the photosynthetic efficiency of leaves. There is therefore a beneficial balance between the regulation of H_(2)S signaling on stomatal factors and non-stomatal factors due to drought stress, which needs to be better understood to apply it practically to increase crop yields. | Wenze Zhang Lei Wang Liping Zhang Xiangqun Kong Jiao Zhang Xin Wang Yanxi Pei Zhuping Jin | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,3: | 0
Dimension Reduction Based on Sampling显示文摘Dimension reduction provides a powerful means of reducing the number of random variables under consideration. However, there were many similar tuples in large datasets, and before reducing the dimension of the dataset,we removed some similar tuples to retain the main information of the dataset while accelerating the dimension reduc-tion.Accordingly,we propose a dimension reduction technique based on biased sampling,a new procedure that incorporates features of both dimensional reduction and biased sampling to obtain a computationally efficient means of reducing the number of random variables under consid-eration.In this paper,we choose Principal Components Analysis(PCA)as the main dimensional reduction algorithm to study, and we show how this approach works. | Zhuping Li Donghua Yang Mengmeng Li Haifeng Guo Tiansheng Ye Hongzhi Wang | 2023 | 国际计算机前沿大会会议论文集2023,,1: | 0
THE INVARIANT REPRESENTATION OF SPINS WITH APPLICATIONS IN THE THEORY OF FINITE DEFORMATIONS显示文摘Based on the general solution given to a kind of linear tensor equations, the spin of asymmetric tensor is derived in an invariant form. The result is applied to find the spins of the left and thetight stretch tensors and the relation among different rotation rate tensors has been discussed.According towork conjugacy, the relations between Cauchy stress and the stresses conjugate to Hill’s generalized strains areobtained.Particularly, the logarithmic strain, its time rate and the conjugate stress have been discussed in de-tail.These results are important in modeling the constitutive relations for finite deformations in continuum me-chanics. | Wang Wenbiao (Div.of Physics,Graduate School Univ.of Science and Technology of China,Beijing 100039)Duan Zhuping (Lab.for Non-linear Mechanics of Continuous Media,Institute of Mechanics,Academia Sinica,Beijing 100080) | 1990 | Acta Mechanica Sinica1990,6,2: | 0
Self‐supervised monocular depth estimation via asymmetric convolution block显示文摘Without the dependence of depth ground truth, self‐supervised learning is a promising alternative to train monocular depth estimation. It builds its own supervision signal with the help of other tools, such as view synthesis and pose networks. However, more training parameters and time consumption may be involved. This paper proposes a monocular depth prediction framework that can jointly learn the depth value and pose transformation between images in an end‐to‐end manner. The depth network creatively employs an asymmetric convolution block instead of every square kernel layer to strengthen the learning ability of extracting image features when training.During infer-ence time, the asymmetric kernels are fused and converted to the original network to predict more accurate image depth, thus bringing no extra computations anymore. The network is trained and tested on the KITTI monocular dataset. The evaluated results demonstrate that the depth model outperforms some State of the Arts(SOTA)ap-proaches and can reduce the inference time of depth prediction.Additionally, the pro-posed model performs great adaptability on the Make3D dataset. | Lingling Hu Hao Zhang Zhuping Wang Chao Huang Changzhu Zhang | 2022 | IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2022,4,2: | 0

Distributed Control of Nonholonomic Robots Without Global Position Measurements Subject to Unknown Slippage Constraints显示文摘This paper studies the fully distributed formation control problem of multi-robot systems without global position measurements subject to unknown longitudinal slippage constraints. It is difficult for robots to obtain accurate and stable global position information in many cases, such as when indoors, tunnels and any other environments where GPS(global positioning system)is denied, thus it is meaningful to overcome the dependence on global position information.Additionally, unknown slippage, which is hard to avoid for wheeled robots due to the existence of ice, sand,or muddy roads, can not only affect the control performance of wheeled robot, but also limits the application scene of wheeled mobile robots. To solve both problems,a fully distributed finite time state observer which does not require any global position information is proposed, such that each follower robot can estimate the leader’s states within finite time. The distributed adaptive controllers are further designed for each follower robot such that the desired formation can be achieved while overcoming the effect of unknown slippage. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed observer and control laws are verified by simulation results. | Hao Zhang Jianwen Sun Zhuping Wang | 2022 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,2: | 0

Optimal Injection Attack for UCPS Under Vertical Depth-Keeping Task Via Game Approach显示文摘Dear Editor, This letter concerns about the security problem of underwater cyber-physical system(UCPS) for depth-keeping task in the vertical plane. A dynamic parametric model of the UCPS with ocean currents and hydrostatic is considered. With the intelligence of the controller, the objective function of a zero-sum game between the attacker and the controller is introduced. | 17 | Global output feedback adaptive stabilization for systems with long uncertain input delay显示文摘Dear editor,The uncertain input delay is frequently encountered in engineering control systems. Adaptation is indispensable when the uncertain input delay is significant. In existing delayadaptive controllers [1–6], the actuator state must be measured to achieve global stability. Recently, a logic-based switching delay-adaptive state-feedback controller [7] was proposed to realize global stability without measuring the actuator state. | Zhuping WANG Jingcheng LIU Chao HUANG Hao ZHANG Huaicheng YAN | 2023 | Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,1: | 0
Enhanced catalytic activity for simultaneous removal of PCDD/Fs and NO over carbon nanotubes modified MnO_(x)-CeO_(2)/TiO_(2)catalyst at low temperatu显示文摘Simultaneous catalytic removal of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs)and nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))emission at low temperature is of great significance to solve the multiple air pollution problem caused during waste incineration.A novel catalyst with excellent low-temperature activity towards PCDD/Fs catalytic decomposition,as well as selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO with NH_(3)is urgently needed to simultaneously control PCDD/Fs and NO emis-sions.Manganese-cerium composite oxides supported on titanium dioxide(MnO_(x)-CeO_(2)/TiO_(2))or TiO_(2)and carbon nano-tubes(CNTs)composite carrier(MnO_(x)-CeO_(2)/TiO_(2)-CNTs)were prepared using sol-gel method, and their catalytic activity towards simultaneous abatement of ortho-dichlorobenzene(o-DCBz,model molecular to simulate PCDD/Fs)and NO was investigated. In comparison with their removal, the simultaneous removal efficiencies of o-DCBz and NO over MnO_(x)-CeO_(2)/TiO_(2)catalyst are lowered to 27.9%and 51.3%at 150℃under the gas hourly space velocity(GHSV)of 15,000 h−1,due to the competition between the reactants for the limited surface acid sites and surface reactive oxygen species.CNTs addition improves the catalytic activity for their simultaneous removal. The optimum condition occurs on MnO_(x)-CeO_(2)/TiO_(2)combined with 20 wt.%CNTs that above 70%of o-DCBz and NO are removed simultaneously.Characterization results reveal that MnO_(x)-CeO_(2)/TiO_(2)-CNTs catalyst with proper CNTs content has larger Brunauer-Emmet-Teller surface area and greatly improved surface acidity property, which are beneficial to both o-DCBz and NO adsorption. Moreover, the relatively higher surface atomic concentration of Mn^(4+)as well as the existence of abundant surface Ce^(3+)atom accelerates the redox cycle of the catalyst and enriches the surface reactive oxygen species. All the above factors alleviate the competition effect between o-DCBz catalytic oxidation and NH_(3)-SCR reaction and are conducive to the simultaneous abatement of o-DCBz and NO.However, excess CNTs make less contribution on enhancing the interaction between Mn atom and Ce atom, thereby result-ing in less improvement in the catalytic activity. | Qiulin Wang Zhuping Jiang Jianjian Zhou Jin Jing | 2021 | Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2021,3,1: | 0
Leader trajectory planning method considering constraints of formation controller显示文摘To ensure safe flight of multiple fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)formation, considering trajectory planning and formation control together,a leader trajectory planning method based on the sparse A*algorithm is introduced.Firstly,a formation controller based on prescribed performance theory is designed to control the transient and steady formation configuration,as well as the formation forming time, which not only can form the designated formation configuration but also can guarantee collision avoidance and terrain avoidance theoretically.Next, considering the constraints caused by formation controller on trajectory planning such as the safe distance, turn angle and step length,as well as the constraint of formation shape,a leader trajectory planning method based on sparse A^(*)algorithm is proposed.Simulation results show that the UAV formation can arrive at the destination safely with a short trajectory no matter keeping the formation or encountering formation transformation. | YAO Dongdong WANG Xiaofang LIN Hai WANG Zhuping | 2023 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2023,34,5: | 0
Secure cooperative output regulation for linear parameter-varying systems under DoS attacks:a resilient observer approach显示文摘This paper investigates the cooperative output regulation problem of heterogeneous linear parameter-varying multi-agent systems under denial-of-service(DoS)attacks.The matrix and state of the exosystem are taken to be unknown to the followers. Moreover, with the assumption that only a directed spanning tree exists in the communication topology,a resilient observer is proposed to exponentially estimate the global information, which can also be effective under DoS attacks with a certain intensity.Afterward,to avoid using the exact value of the exosystem matrix,a distributed online algorithm is proposed, through which the linear parameter-varying output regulation equation is asymptotically solved.Based on the resilient observer and the solution of the output regulation equation,a distributed regulator is proposed to achieve asymptotic cooperative output regulation for all agents. Some numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed observer, algorithm, and controller. | Chengcheng FU Hao ZHANG Chao HUANG Zhuping WANG Huaicheng YAN | 2023 | Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,9: | 0
