| 1 | Impact of time lags on diurnal estimates of canopy transpiration and canopy conductance from sap-flow measurements of Populus cathayana in the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Recently, canopy transpiration(Ec) has been often estimated by xylem sap-flow measurements. However, there is a significant time lag between sap flow measured at the base of the stem and canopy transpiration due to the capacitive exchange between the transpiration stream and stem water storage. Significant errors will be introduced in canopy conductance(gc) and canopy transpiration estimation if the time lag is neglected. In this study, a cross-correlation analysis was used to quantify the time lag, and the sap flowbased transpiration was measured to parameterize Jarvistype models of gcand thus to simulate Ecof Populus cathayana using the Penman–Monteith equation. The results indicate that solar radiation(Rs) and vapor pressure deficit(VPD) are not fully coincident with sap flow and have an obvious lag effect; the sap flow lags behind Rsand precedes VPD, and there is a 1-h time shift between Ecand sap flow in the 30-min interval data set. A parameterized Jarvis-type gc model is suitable to predict P. cathayana transpiration and explains more than 80% of the variation observed in gc, and the relative error was less than 25%, which shows a preferable simulation effect. The root mean square error(RMSEs)between the predicted and measured Ecwere 1.91 9 10-3(with the time lag) and 3.12 9 10-3cm h-1(without the time lag). More importantly, Ecsimulation precision that incorporates time lag is improved by 6% compared to the results without the time lag, with the mean relative error(MRE) of only 8.32% and the mean absolute error(MAE) of1.48 9 10-3cm h-1. | Hui Wang Kangning He Runjie Li Zhuping Sheng Yun Tian Jun Wen Bo Chang | 2017 | Journal of Forestry Research2017,28,3: | 3 |
| 2 | Nuclear EPL-HAM complex is essential for the development of chloroplasts显示文摘Chloroplasts most likely originated from the endosymbiosis of cyanobacterial ancestors, entering the eukaryotic lineage about 1.0-1.5 billion years ago(Parfrey et al.,2011;Archibald,2015).Consequently,their biogenesis depends on genetic information from both the nuclear and chloroplast genomes.Photosynthetic housekeeping genes of core components in photosystemsⅠandⅡ(PSI and PSII)are encoded by the plastid genome。 | Bo Ding Hongli Xie Kangning Zhang He Li Yushi Gao Jing Zhang Bin Xu Lianwei Peng Guofeng Yang Guo-Liang Wang Upinder Gill Zeng-Yu Wang Maofeng Chai | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,12: | 1 |
| 3 | Response of soil respiration to environmental and photosynthetic factors in different subalpine forest-cover types in a loess alpine hilly region显示文摘Soil respiration(Rs)is important for transport-ing or fixing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and even diminutive variations can profoundly influence the carbon cycle. However, the R_(s) dynamics in a loess alpine hilly region with representative sensitivity to climate change and fragile ecology remains poorly understood. This study investigated the correlation and degree of control between R_(s) and its photosynthetic and environmental factors in five subalpine forest cover types. We examined the correlations between R_(s) and variables temperature(T_(10)) and soil moisture content at 10 cm depth(W_(10)),net photosynthetic rate(P_(n))and soil properties to establish multiple models, and the variables were measured for diurnal and monthly vari-ations from September 2018 to August 2019.The results showed that soil physical factors are not the main drivers of R_(s) dynamics at the diel scale;however, the trend in the monthly variation in R_(s) was consistent with that of T_(10)and P_(n).Further,R_(s) was significantly affected by pH,providing further evidence that coniferous forest leaves contribute to soil acidification, thus reducing R_(s).Significant exponential and linear correlations were established between R_(s) and T_(10)and W_(10),respectively,and R_(s) was positively correlated with P_(n).Accordingly,we established a two-factor model and a three-factor model, and the correlation coefficients(R_(2))was improved to different degrees compared with models based only on T_(10) and W_(10).Moreover,temperature sensitivity(Q_(10))was the highest in the secondary forest and lowest in the Larix principis-rupprechtii forest. Our findings suggest that the control of R_(s) by the environment(moisture and tempera-ture)and photosynthesis, which are interactive or comple-mentary effects, may influence spatial and temporal homeo-stasis in the region and showed that the models appropriately described the dynamic variation in R_(s) and the carbon cycle in different forest covers. In addition, total phosphorus(TP)and total potassium(TK)significantly affected the dynamic changes in R_(s).In summary, interannual and seasonal variations in forest R_(s) at multiple scales and the response forces of related ecophysiological factors, especially the interactive driving effects of soil temperature, soil moisture and photo-synthesis,were clarified, thus representing an important step in predicting the impact of climate change and formulating forest carbon management policies. | Yuanhang Li Sha Lin Qi Chen Xinyao Ma Shuaijun Wang Kangning He | 2022 | Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2: | 1 |
| 4 | Sodium Superionic Conductors(NASICONs)as Cathode Materials for Sodium‑Ion Batteries显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have developed rapidly owing to the high natural abundance, wide distribution, and low cost of sodium.Among the various materials used in SIBs,sodium superion conductor(NASICON)-based electrode materials with remarkable structural stability and high ionic conductivity are one of the most promising candidates for sodium storage electrodes.Nevertheless, the relatively low electronic conductivity of these materials makes them display poor electrochemical performance, significantly limiting their practical application. In recent years, the strategies of enhancing the inherent conductivity of NASICON-based cathode materials have been extensively studied through coating the active material with a conductive carbon layer, reducing the size of the cathode material, combining the cathode material with various carbon materials, and doping elements in the bulk phase. In this paper,we review the recent progress in the development of NASICON-based cathode materials for SIBs in terms of their synthesis, characterization, functional mechanisms, and performance validation/optimization.The advantages and disadvantages of such SIB cathode materials are analyzed, and the relationship between electrode structures and electrochemical performance as well as the strategies for enhancing their electrical conductivity and structural stability is highlighted. Some technical challenges of NASICON-based cathode materials with respect to SIB performance are analyzed, and several future research directions are also proposed for overcoming the challenges toward practical applications. | Qingbo Zhou Linlin Wang Wenyao Li Kangning Zhao Minmin Liu Qian Wu Yujie Yang Guanjie He Ivan P.Parkin Paul R.Shearing Dan J.L.Brett Jiujun Zhang Xueliang Sun | 2021 | Electrochemical Energy Reviews2021,4,4: | 1 |
