2Molecular epidemiology demonstrates that imported and local strains circulated during the 2014 dengue outbreak in Guangzhou, China显示文摘The dengue virus(DENV) is a vital global public health issue. The 2014 dengue epidemic in Guangzhou, China, caused approximately 40,000 cases of infection and five deaths. We carried out a comprehensive investigation aimed at identifying the transmission sources in this dengue epidemic. To analyze the phylogenetics of the 2014 dengue strains, the envelope(E) gene sequences from 17 viral strains isolated from 168 dengue patient serum samples were sequenced and a phylogenetic tree was reconstructed. All 17 strains were serotype Ⅰ strains, including 8genotype Ⅰ and 9 genotype V strains. Additionally, 6 genotype Ⅰ strains that were probably introduced to China from Thailand before 2009 were widely transmitted in the 2013 and 2014 epidemics, and they continued to circulate until 2015, with one affinis strain being found in Singapore. The other 2 genotype Ⅰ strains were introduced from the Malaya Peninsula in 2014. The transmission source of the 9 genotype Ⅴ strains was from Malaysia in 2014. DENVs of different serotypes and genotypes co-circulated in the 2014 dengue outbreak in Guangzhou. 3Recent advances in multi-layer composite polymeric membranes for CO_2 separation: A review显示文摘The development of multilayer composite membranes for CO_2 separation has gained increasing attention due to the desire for energy efficient technologies. Multilayer composite membranes have many advantages, including the possibility to optimize membrane materials independently by layers according to their different functions and to reduce the overall transport resistance by using ultrathin selective layers, and less limitations on the material mechanical properties and processability. A comprehensive review is required to capture details of the progresses that have already been achieved in developing multilayer composite membranes with improved CO_2 separation performance in the past 15-20 years.In this review, various composite membrane preparation methods were compared, advances in composite membranes for CO_2/CH_4 separation,CO_2/N_2 and CO_2/H_2 separation were summarized with detailed data, and challenges facing for the CO_2 separation using composite membranes,such as aging, plasticization and long-term stability, were discussed. 5Digital high-efficiency print forming method and device for multi-material casting molds显示文摘Sand mold 3D printing technology based on the principle of droplet ejection has undergone rapid development in recent years and has elicited increasing attention from engineers and technicians.However,current sand mold 3D printing technology exhibits several problems,such as single-material printing molds,low manufacturing efficiency,and necessary post-process drying and heating for the manufacture of sand molds.This study proposes a novel high-efficiency print forming method and device for multi-material casting molds.The proposed method is specifically related to the integrated forming of two-way coating and printing and the shortflow manufacture of roller compaction and layered heating.These processes can realize the high-efficiency print forming of high-performance sand molds.Experimental results demonstrate that the efficiency of sand mold fabrication can be increased by 200%using the proposed two-way coating and printing method.The integrated forming method for layered heating and roller compaction presented in this study effectively shortens the manufacturing process for 3D-printed sand molds,increases sand mold strength by 63.8%,and reduces resin usage by approximately 30%.The manufacture of multi-material casting molds is demonstrated on typical wheeled cast-iron parts.This research provides theoretical guidance for the engineering application of sand mold 3D printing.Zhongde SHAN Zhi GUO Dong DU Feng LIU Wenjiang LI 2020Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2020,15,2:5
6CO_2 absorption with ionic liquids at elevated temperatures显示文摘CO_2 capture with ionic liquids(ILs) has attracted many attentions, and most works focused on absorption ability at ambient temperatures, while seldom research was concerned at elevated temperatures.This not only limits the CO_2 absorption application at elevated temperature, but also the determination of the operation condition of the CO_2 desorption generally occurring at higher temperature. This work mainly reported CO_2 solubilities in ILs at elevated temperatures and related properties were also provided. 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide([CnMIm][Tf_2N]) ILs were selected as physical absorbents for CO_2 capture in this work due to their relative higher CO_2 absorption capacities and good thermal stabilities. The long-term stability tests showed that [CnMIm][Tf_2N] is thermally stable at 393.15 K for long time. CO_2 solubilities in [CnMIm][Tf_2N] were systematically determined at temperatures from 353.15 K to 393.15 K. It demonstrated that CO_2 solubility obviously increases with the increase of pressure while slightly decreases with increase of temperature. As the length of alkyl chain on the cation increases, CO_2 solubility in ILs increases. 7PVA/PVP blend polymer matrix for hosting carriers in facilitated transport membranes: Synergistic enhancement of CO2 separation performance显示文摘CO2 separation performance in facilitated transport membranes has been reported depended not only on the CO2 carrier properties but also to a great extent on the polymeric matrix regarding the capacity of retaining water and carriers as well as the processability for coating defect-free ultra-thin films. In this study, the blends of hydrophilic polymers polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP) and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) were studied to find an optimal polymer matrix to host carriers in facilitated transport membranes for enhanced CO2 separation. It is found out that the optimized blend is 50/50 PVA/PVP by weight, which shows a significant increase in the water uptake(from 63 to 84%) at equilibrium state compared to the neat PVA. Polyethyleneimine(PEI) was employed to provide sample carriers to evaluate the synergistic effect of PVA and PVP on the CO2 separation performance. A thin film composite(TFC) membrane of the optimized blend(50/50 PVA/PVP with 50 wt% PEI) was fabricated on polysulfone(PSf) porous support. 8Interfacial Bonding Mechanism and Mechanical Performance of Continuous Fiber Reinforced Composites in Additive Manufacturing显示文摘The additive manufacturing of continuous fiber composites has the advantage of a high-precision and efficient forming process,which can realize the lightweight and integrated manufacturing of complex structures.However,many void defects exist between layers in the printing process of additive manufacturing;consequently,the bonding performance between layers is poor.The bonding neck is considered a key parameter for representing the quality of interfacial bonding.In this study,the formation mechanism of the bonding neck was comprehensively analyzed.First,the influence of the nozzle and basement temperatures on the printing performance and bonding neck size was measured.Second,CT scanning was used to realize the quantitative characterization of bonding neck parameters,and the reason behind the deviation of actual measurements from theoretical calculations was analyzed.When the nozzle temperature increased from 180 to 220℃,CT measurement showed that the bonding neck diameter increased from 0.29 to 0.34 mm,and the cross-sectional porosity reduced from 5.48%to 3.22%.Finally,the fracture mechanism was studied,and the influence of the interfacial bonding quality on the destruction process of the materials was determined.In conclusion,this study can assist in optimizing the process parameters,which improves the precision of the printing parts and performance between the layers.Congze Fan Zhongde Shan Guisheng Zou Li Zhan Dongdong Yan 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,1:4

10Modelling of a tubular membrane contactor for pre-combustion CO_2 capture using ionic liquids:Influence of the membrane configuration, absorbent properties and operation parameters显示文摘A membrane contactor using ionic liquids(ILs) as solvent for pre-combustion capture CO_2 at elevated temperature(303-393 K) and pressure(20 bar) has been studied using mathematic model in the present work. A comprehensive two-dimensional(2 D) mass-transfer model was developed based on finite element method. The effects of liquid properties, membrane configurations, as well as operation parameters on the CO_2 removal efficiency were systematically studied. The simulation results show that CO_2 can be effectively removed in this process. In addition, it is found that the liquid phase mass transfer dominated the overall mass transfer. Membranes with high porosity and small thickness could apparently reduce the membrane resistance and thus increase the separation efficiency. 11Centrifuge experiment on the penetration test for evaluating undrained strength of deep-sea surface soils显示文摘Rapid advances in deep-sea mining engineering have created an urgent need for the accurate evaluation of the undrained strength of marine soils,especially surface soils.Significant achievements have been made using full-flow penetration penetrometers to evaluate marine soil strength in the deep penetration;however,a method considering the effect of ambient water on the surface penetration needs to be established urgently.In this study,penetrometers with multiple probes were developed and used to conduct centrifuge experiments on South China Sea soil and kaolin clay.First,the forces on the probes throughout the penetration process were systematically analyzed and quantified.Second,the spatial influence zone was determined by capturing the resistance changes and sample crack development,and the penetration depth for a sample to reach a stable failure mode was given.Third,the vane shear strength was used to invert the penetration resistance factor of the ball and determine the range of the penetration resistance factor values.Furthermore,a methodology to determine the penetration resistance factors for surface marine soils was established.Finally,the effect of the water cavity above various probes in the surface penetration was used to formulate an internal mechanism for variations in the penetration resistance factor.Xingsen Guo Tingkai Nian Wei Zhao Zhongde Gu Chunpeng Liu Xiaolei Liu Yonggang Jia 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2:2

19A urinary proteomic landscape of COVID-19 progression identifies signaling pathways and therapeutic options显示文摘Signaling pathway alterations in COVID-19 of living humans as well as therapeutic targets of the host proteins are not clear.We analyzed 317 urine proteomes,including 86 COVID-19,55 pneumonia and 176 healthy controls,and identified specific RNA virus detector protein DDX58/RIG-I only in COVID-19 samples.Comparison of the COVID-19 urinary proteomes with controls revealed major pathway alterations in immunity,metabolism and protein localization.Biomarkers that may stratify severe symptoms from moderate ones suggested that macrophage induced inflammation and thrombolysis may play a critical role in worsening the disease.Hyper activation of the TCA cycle is evident and a macrophage enriched enzyme CLYBL is up regulated in COVID-19 patients.As CLYBL converts the immune modulatory TCA cycle metabolite itaconate through the citramalyl-CoA intermediate to acetyl-CoA,an increase in CLYBL may lead to the depletion of itaconate,limiting its anti-inflammatory function.These observations suggest that supplementation of itaconate and inhibition of CLYBL are possible therapeutic options for treating COVID-19,opening an avenue of modulating host defense as a means of combating SARS-CoV-2 viruses.Yuntao Liu Lan Song Nairen Zheng Jinwen Shi Hongxing Wu Xing Yang Nianci Xue Xing Chen Yimin Li Changqing Sun Cha Chen Lijuan Tang Xiaotian Ni Yi Wang Yaling Shi Jianwen Guo Guangshun Wang Zhongde Zhang Jun Qin 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,9:1
