| 1 | Subcellular spatial resolution achieved for deep-brain imaging in vivo using a minimally invasive multimode fiber显示文摘Achieving intravital optical imaging with diffraction-limited spatial resolution of deep-brain structures represents an important step toward the goal of understanding the mammalian central nervous system1–4.Advances in wavefrontshaping methods and computational power have recently allowed for a novel approach to high-resolution imaging, utilizing deterministic light propagation through optically complex media and,of particular importance for this work, multimode optical fibers(MMFs)5–7.We report a compact and highly optimized approach for minimally invasive in vivo brain imaging applications. The volume of tissue lesion was reduced by more than 100-fold,while preserving diffraction-limited imaging performance utilizing wavefront control of light propagation through a single 50-μm-core MMF.Here,we demonstrated high-resolution fluorescence imaging of subcellular neuronal structures, dendrites and synaptic specializations,in deep-brain regions of living mice,as well as monitored stimulus-driven functional Ca2+responses.These results represent a major breakthrough in the compromise between high-resolution imaging and tissue damage, heralding new possibilities for deep-brain imaging in vivo. | Sebastian A.Vasquez-Lopez Raphaël Turcotte Vadim Koren Martin Plöschner Zahid Padamsey Martin J.Booth TomášČižmár Nigel J.Emptage | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 4 |

| 9 | Hydrophobic coating of surfaces by plasma polymerization in an RF plasma reactor with an outer planar electrode:synthesis, characterization and biocompatibility显示文摘This paper presents the plasma polymerization of poly(hexafluorobutyl acrylate)(PHFBA) thin films on different substrates in an RF plasma reactor with an outer planar electrode. This reactor configuration allows?large area uniformity and fast processing times. Deposition rates of up to60 nm min-1were observed. The influence?of plasma power and substrate temperature on the?deposition rate, structure and wettability of the as-deposited films was?investigated. It was observed that better hydrophobicity was obtained at high plasma power and in low temperature conditions. PHFBA thin films deposited on electrospun poly(acrylonitrile) fiber mats under such conditions resulted in superhydrophobic surfaces with?contact angle values greater than 150°.In?vitro cell studies using human epithelial cells demonstrated the non-toxic nature of the?plasma-polymerized PHFBA films. | Mustafa KARAMAN Mehmet GüRSOY Fatmanur AYKüL Zahide TOSUN M Demirel KARS H Bekir YILDIZ | 2017 | Plasma Science and Technology2017,19,8: | 1 |

| 13 | Cap-assisted endoscopy for esophageal foreign bodies:A metaanalysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Esophageal foreign bodies are common around the world.Newer approaches, such as cap-assisted endoscopy, have been introduced as an alternative to conventional methods. Therefore,we performed a meta-analysis ono cap-assisted endoscopy versus conventional endoscopy for removal of esophageal foreign bodies.AIM To investigated the effectiveness of cap-assisted endoscopy with conventional endoscopy.METHODS An extensive literature search was performed(December 2021).For esophageal foreign body removal,cap-assisted endoscopy was compared to conventional endoscopy for procedure time, technical success of the procedure, time of foreign body retrieval,en bloc removal, and adverse event rate using odds ratio and mean difference.RESULTS Six studies met the inclusion criteria(n=1305).Higher odds of technical success(P=0.002)and en bloc removal(P<0.01)and lower odds of adverse events(P=0.02)and foreign body removal time(P<0.01)were observed with cap-assisted endoscopy as compared to conventional techniques.CONCLUSION For esophageal foreign bodies, the technique of cap-assisted endoscopy demonstrated increased en bloc removal and technical success with decreased time and adverse events as compared to conventional techniques. | Zahid Ijaz Tarar Umer Farooq Matthew L Bechtold Yezaz A Ghouri | 2023 | World Journal of Meta-Analysis2023,11,1: | 0 |
