Red and Blue Lights Significantly Affect Photosynthetic Properties and Ultrastructure of Mesophyll Cells in Senescing Grape Leaves显示文摘Light quality significantly affects photosynthetic efficiency in plants. The mechanisms for how light quality affects photosynthesis in grape is poorly understood. Therefore, to investigate the effects of different light qualities on chloroplast ultrastructure and photosynthesis efficiency, two grape cultivars ‘Italia'(slower speed of leaf senescence) and ‘Centennial Seedless'(faster speed of leaf senescence) grown under protected and delayed conditions were used. The three treatments, replicated three times, were control(no supplemental lighting), red light and blue light. Chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, and the ratio of F_v/F_m significantly increased in red light relative to the control. The opposite trend was observed in blue light in the early phase of leaf senescence. At later stages, physiological indexes were gradually higher than that of control, resulting in a delay in leaf senescence. Compared to the control, red and blue light both significantly increased the chlorophyll a/b ratio. Electron microscopy showed that blue light caused severe damage to the fine structure of chloroplasts at early stages of leaf senescence, but effects at later stages of leaf senescence became less severe compared to the control. The degradation of chloroplast ultrastructure was apparently delayed in red light throughout the experimental timeframe compared to other treatments. In this experiment, ‘Italia' showed higher chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, ratios of F_v/F_m, chlorophyll a/b and better preserved chloroplast ultrastructure relative to ‘Centennial Seedless', resulting in a slower rate of leaf senescence. | WANG Shuai WANG Xiaodi SHI Xiangbin WANG Baoliang ZHENG Xiaocui WANG Haibo LIU Fengzhi | 2016 | Horticultural Plant Journal2016,2,2: | 10
Discovering the relationship of disasters from big scholar and social media news datasets显示文摘The construction method for chains of disasters or events is still one of the core scientific questions in studying the common rules of disaster’s evolution.Especially when dealing with the complexity and diversity of disasters,it is critical to make a further investigation on reducing the dependency of prior knowledge and supporting the comprehensive chains of disasters. This paper tries to propose a novel approach, through collecting the big scholar and social news data with disasterrelated keywords, analysing the strength of their relationships with the co-word analysis method, and constructing a complex network of all defined disaster types,in order to finally intelligently extract the unique disaster chain of a specific disaster type.Google Scholar,Baidu Scholar and Sina News search engines are employed to acquire the needed data, and the respectively obtained disaster chains are compared with each other to show the robustness of our proposed approach. The achieved disaster chains are also compared with the ones concluded from existing research methods, and the very reasonable result is demonstrated. There is a great potential to apply this novel method in disaster management domain to find more secrets about disasters. | Liang Zheng Fei Wang Xiaocui Zheng Binbin Liu | 2019 | International Journal of Digital Earth2019,12,11: | 1
Therapeutic potential of C1632 by inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 replication and viral-induced inflammation through upregulating let-7显示文摘Dear Editor,The COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has led to acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)with a high rate of death. An excessive inflammatory response, caused by virus infection,is associated with severe clinical manifestations that may lead to death of patients.1 Therefore, the blockage of virus replication and suppression of hyper-inflammatory response are beneficial for COVID-19 treatment. However, the drug targeting both virus and hyper-inflammation,as far as we know,is not available yet. | Chen Xie Yanlian Chen Dongling Luo Zhen Zhuang Heping Jin Haoxian Zhou Xiaocui Li Haijun Lin Xiaohui Zheng Jing Zhang Peihui Wang Jincun Zhao Yong Zhao Hui Huang | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3: | 1
Elements’important ranking of China drug safety management system:applying the non-structural fuzzy group decision method显示文摘Drug safety management is an important issue in China drug management system and attracts great attentions from the whole society. In order to reduce drug incident, this study discusses some important elements associated with China drug safety management system and analyzes the data collected by questionnaires.Besides,a methodology for rating the important elements is described and applied. The non-structural fuzzy group decision method not only considers the insufficient precise information but also combines the opinions of different kinds of respondents in China’s four municipalities. The results indicate that the sample systems are the most important in these important elements, and the order of importance is sampling systems, licensing systems, traceability systems, transaction models, pharmacovigilance and emergence management. This study not only points out the important ranking of the pivotal elements in China drug safety management but also gives some specific proposals about how to enhance drug safety management in China. | Xiaoping ZHENG Xiaocui WANG Tingkuan ZHONG | 2010 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2010,4,3: | 0
Toward Interoperable Multi‑hazard Modeling: A Disaster Management System for Disaster Model Service Chain显示文摘A natural hazard-related disaster event often causes a series of secondary disasters, forming a disaster chain. Modeling the evolution of disaster chains in multihazard scenarios is crucial for risk governance and urban resilience. However, existing multi-hazard models are limited by complex model design and fixed disaster types, making it impossible to ensure flexible reactions to complex and diverse scenarios. This study presents a disaster management system for disaster model service chain(DMSC) to implement interoperable multi-hazard modeling. To achieve efficient model interaction in the DMSC, a management module is designed to normalize heterogeneous single-hazard models based on disaster system theory and the Open Geospatial Consortium standards, enabling them to be accessible, reusable, and interoperable. The normalized models are then adaptively orchestrated through an orchestration module to establish optimal executable DMSCs for different multihazard scenarios. Taking an earthquake disaster chain as a case study, we demonstrate that the disaster management system shows stable and flexible performance for multihazard modeling. | Wenyu Jiang Fei Wang Xiaocui Zheng Xinxin Zheng Xiaohui Qiao Xin Li Qingxiang Meng | 2022 | International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2022,13,6: | 0
Short-term Effects of Nitrogen Deposition on Soil Respiration of Cinnamomum camphora Plantation显示文摘The nitrogen deposition experiments on Cinnamomum camphora plantation of Hunan provincial botanical garden were simulated from June the 7th to October the 7th,2010,the nitrogen deposition levels was respectively as control(CK, 0 g·m-2 a-1),low nitrogen(LN,5 g·m-2 a-1),medium nitrogen(MN,15 g·m-2 a-1) and high nitrogen(HN, 30 g·m -2 a-1).The soil respiration speed and soil surface temperature and the surface water content of the soil were determined by LI-8100 measuring instrument. The results show that the average values of soil respiration speed were CK (4.09±0.66μmol·m-2 s-1),LN(2.39±029μmol·m-2 s-1), MN(2.18±0.19μmol·m-2s-1),HN (2.28±0.25μmol·m-2 s-1),and the treatment of the CK was obviously higher than the other three treatments(P<0.01).With different nitrogen concentrations deposition treatments, the Q10 (temperature sensitivity coefficients) for soil respiration of CK,LN,MN and HN treatments were 1.84,1.71,1.83 and 1.56.It was positive correlation between the respiration speed and the surface(≤10 cm) temperature of tested soil.It was negative correlation between the respiration speed and the surface(≤5 cm) water content of tested soil(P>0.05).Volumetric water content of 5-cm soil was between 0.266 6-0.294 4(m3·m-3), and the monthly content did not vary too much during the research period(1.8%-9.4%).The findings suggest that the initial stage of nitrogen deposition obviously influenced the soil respiration of C.camphora plantation. | Zhang Xuyuan Yan Wende Ma Xiuhong Zheng Wei Wang Guangjun Liang Xiaocui | 2012 | Chinese Forestry Science and Technology2012,11,3: | 0
Annual Maps of Forests in Australia from Analyses of Microwave and Optical Images with FAO Forest Definition显示文摘The Australian governmental agencies reported a total of 149 million ha forest in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations(FAO)in 2010,ranking sixth in the world, which is based on a forest definition with tree height>2 meters. Here,we report a new forest cover data product that used the FAO forest definition(tree cover>10%and tree height>5 meters at observation time or mature)and was derived from microwave(Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar,PALSAR)and optical(Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer,MODIS)images and validated with very high spatial resolution images,Light Detection and Ranging(LiDAR)data from the Ice,Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite(ICESat),and in situ field survey sites. The new PALSAR/MODIS forest map estimates 32 million ha of forest in 2010 over Australia.PALSAR/MODIS forest map has an overall accuracy of~95%based on the reference data derived from visual interpretation of very high spatial resolution images for forest and nonforest cover types.Compared with the canopy height and canopy coverage data derived from ICESat LiDAR strips,PALSAR/MODIS forest map has 73%of forest pixels meeting the FAO forest definition, much higher than the other four widely used forest maps(ranging from 36%to 52%).PALSAR/MODIS forest map also has a reasonable spatial consistency with the forest map from the National Vegetation Information System. This new annual map of forests in Australia could support cross-country comparison when using data from the FAO Forest Resource Assessment Reports. | Yuanwei Qin Xiangming Xiao Jean-Pierre Wigneron Philippe Ciais Josep G.Canadell Martin Brandt Xiaojun Li Lei Fan Xiaocui Wu Hao Tang Ralph Dubayah Russell Doughty Qing Chang Sean Crowell Bo Zheng Kevin Neal Jorge A.Celis Berrien MooreⅢ | 2021 | Journal of Remote Sensing2021,,1: | 0
