| 1 | Coal and gas outburst mechanism of the “Three Soft” coal seam in western Henan显示文摘Based on the particularities of gas outbursts,i.e.,low gas bearing capacity and low gas pressure in the 'Three Soft' coal seam in western Henan,we applied the theories of plate tectonics and regional structural evolution to investigate the mechanism of this seam and its impact on the coal seam gas formation.Our investigation revealed that coal and gas outbursts are distributed in a strip in a NW direction,with a number of high-penetration mines scattered towards the south side and low-gas mines largely located on the north side.We analyzed the statistics of 38 gas explosions and the rock-coal sturdiness number coefficient f of 167 sampling sites in the region and found the gas outburst mechanism that features a 'low indicator outburst phenomenon'.The mechanism is characterized by structural coal as its core,a low gas bearing capacity,low gas pressure and sturdiness coefficient f mostly less than 0.3.Our research results provide a theoretical foundation for effective control of gas disasters. | LEI DongJi LI Chengwu ZHANG Zimin ZHANG Yugui | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,5: | 10 |
| 2 | Co-Production of Lipids, Eicosapentaenoic Acid, Fucoxanthin, and Chrysolaminarin by Phaeodactylum tricornutum Cultured in a Flat-Plate Photobioreactor Under Varying Nitrogen Conditions显示文摘The marine diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum is a polymorphological, ecologically significant, and well-studied model of unicellular microalga. This diatom can accumulate diverse important metabolites. Herein, we cultured P. tricornutum in an internally installed tie-piece flat-plate photobioreactor under 14.5 m mol L^(-1)(high nitrogen, HN) and 2.9 m mol L^(-1)(low nitrogen, LN) of KNO_3 and assessed its time-resolved changes in biochemical compositions. The results showed that HN was inductive to accumulate high biomass(4.1 g L^(-1)). However, the LN condition could accelerate lipid accumulation in P. tricornutum. The maximum total lipid(TL) content under LN was up to 42.5% of biomass on day 12. Finally, neutral lipids(NLs) were 63.8% and 75.7% of TLs under HN and LN, respectively. The content of EPA ranged from 2.3% to 1.5% of dry weight during the growth period under the two culture conditions. Peak volumetric lipid productivity of 128.4 mg L^(-1)d^(-1) was achieved in the HN group(on day 9). The highest volumetric productivity values of EPA, chrysolaminarin, and fucoxanthin were obtained in the exponential phase(on day 6) under HN, which were 9.6, 93.6, and 4.7 mg L^(-1)d^(-1), respectively. | 3 | Expressed sequence tags analysis revealing the taxonomic position and fatty acid biosynthesis in an oleaginous green microalga,Myrmecia incisa Reisigl(Trebouxiophyceae,Chlorophyta)显示文摘cDNA library of Myrmecia incisa H4301 was constructed using λ phage vectors.The library consisted of 1.5×10 6 clones with a recombination rate of 90%,and 1942 clones were randomly sequenced.All 1854 readable expressed sequence tags(ESTs) were clustered into 596 non-redundant sequences(NRSs),among which 126 NRSs were from 1384 ESTs,showing a high redundancy.Among the 596 NRSs,30 were ribosomal RNA,and 152 significantly matched with those available in NCBI database and JGI Genome Portal,the latter were divided into nine subcategories.Overall,59 NRSs were involved in photosynthesis,the respiratory electron transport chain,ATP synthesis,oxidation reduction,fatty acid biosynthesis,glucose metabolism,protein metabolism,and small molecular metabolism,suggesting that these genes were abundantly transcribed during energy and substance metabolism.Acyl-carrier protein,ferrodoxin and fatty acid elongase genes obtained from this cDNA library enabled presumption of a possible biosynthesis pathway of ArA in M.incisa.Codon usage analysis of 142 NRSs with 17798 codons in the predicted coding regions showed that the average G+C content level of the total codons was 55.39%,and that of the third position in base trimers was 66.42%,indicating a strong bias toward cytosine and/or guanosine in this algal genome.Among all synonymous codons,NAG was most favored,while NUA was most avoided.Phylogenic trees inferred from ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase small subunit genes and the extra partial sequences of 18S rRNA obtained from this library demonstrated that M.incisa belonged to Trebouxiophyceae and was significantly clustered with M.incisa SAG 2007,Lobosphaera tirolensis,M.bisecta,and Parietochloris incisa,but was clearly distant from P.pseudoalveolaris and P.alveolar.Transmission electron microscopy revealed pyrenoids traversed by many parallel thylakoids membranes,while starch grains were only clearly observed when cells were grown under nitrogen stress.Based on combined investigation of the phylogeny and morphological characteristics,it is proposed that M.incisa be kept in the genus Myrmecia in which there might be two parallel groups,one living freely and another symbiotic species. | OUYANG LongLing DU DaoHai YU ShuiYan LI ChunYang ZHANG ChengWu GAO HongJian ZHOU ZhiGang | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,25: | 4 |
| 4 | Taxonomy and ultrastructure of five species of Tetraselmis (Prasinophyceae) isolated from China seas显示文摘Comparative ultrastructural investigations on twenty-three isolates of Tetraselmis from the South China Sea, East China Sea and Huanghai Sea, have revealed that these isolates belong to:(1)Tetraselmis chui Butcher; (2)T. cordiformis (H. J. Carter) Stein; (3)T. helgolandica Kylin; (4)T. suecica (Kylin) Butcher; (5)T. guangdongensis sp. nov. Except T. helgolandica, the others are new records in China. T. guangdongensis sp. nov. is a new species. Its external and anatomical features closely resemble those of T. impellucida McLachlan et Parke. As in that species the pyrenoid is penetrated from many directions by cytoplasmic channels delimited by a double membrane. The protoplast withdraws from the apical portion of the theca, that portion which overlaid the trough inverts and pops out in the form of a teat. | 6 | Oxidative degradation of phenol by sulfidated zero valent iron under aerobic conditions:The effect of oxalate and tripolyphosphate ligands显示文摘After adding either organic or inorganic ligands,sulfidated nano-zero-valent iron(Sn ZVI)was used for aerobic degradation of phenol,and the effect of the ligand species on oxidation performance was investigated.We found that Sn ZVI hardly degraded phenol in the absence of ligand addition.Ligands initiated and promoted the degradation of pollutants by Sn ZVI.The data herein show that a characteristic inorganic ligand,tripolyphosphate(TPP),is more effective in enhancing oxidation than a characteristic organic ligand oxalate.In addition to the scavenging of reactive oxidants by the organic ligand,more ferrous ion(Fe(Ⅱ))dissolution from Sn ZVI in the TPP system is another cause for the superior enhancement by the inorganic ligand.In the oxalate system,as the sulfur content of Sn ZVI increased,the oxidation efficiency increased because Fe S shell promoted the transfer of electrons to produce more reactive oxygen species(ROS).In TPP system,the effect of sulfur content on oxidation performance is more complex.The Sn ZVI with low sulfur content showed poor oxidation performance compared with that of n ZVI.Further experiments proved that sulfidation might weaken the complexation of TPP with surface bound Fe,which would slow down the ionic Fe(II)dissolution rate.Therefore,sulfidation has the dual effects of enhancing electron transfer and inhibiting the complexation of inorganic ligands.In addition,the mechanisms of ROS generation in different ligand systems were investigated herein.Results showed that the critical ROS in both the oxalate and TPP systems are hydroxyl radicals,and that they are produced via one-electron activation of O_(2). | Xianglong Kong Chengwu Zhang Jingyi Zhang Lishuang Xuan Chuanyu Qin | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2: | 2 |
| 7 | Effects of Temperature, Salinity, Light Intensity, and pH on the Eicosapentaenoic Acid Production of Pinguiococcus pyrenoidosus显示文摘The effects of temperature, light intensity, salinity, and initial pH on the growth and fatty acid composition of Pinguiococcus pyrenoidosus 2078 were studied for eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) production potential. The fatty acid composition was assayed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, which indicated that the main fatty acids were C14:0, C16:0 and EPA. The highest EPA percentage 20.83% of total fatty acids was obtained at 20℃ with the temperature being set at 20, 24, and 28℃. Under different salinities and light intensities, the highest percentages of total polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and EPA were 17.82% and 31.37% of total fatty acids, respectively, which were achieved at salinity 30 and 100μmol photon m-2s-1 illumination. | 8 | A Multiplex PCR Assay for the Detection of Pathogenic Genes of EPEC,ETEC and EIEC显示文摘A multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was developed to detect three pathogenic genes of en-teropathogenic, enterotocigenic and enteroinvasive Escherichia coli.. In this study three different sets of oligonu-cleotide primer were simultaneously used, and in this way, specific fragments of 880, 600, 150 bp for EPEC eaeA, EIEC ipaH and ETEC ST genes were amplified, respectively. The best condition of the multiplex PCR was: after an initial heat denaturation step at 95℃ for 5 min, followed by 30 cycles of denaturation at 94℃ for 40 s, primer annealing at 51.3 ℃ for 40 s and extension at 72 ℃ for 1 min, final extension at 72 ℃ for 10 min. The detection limit of the eaeA, ipaH and ST primers was 38.7423, 3.60519, 29.9448 ng·mL-1 (4.3×104, 1.5×103, 2.6×104 CFU·mL-1), respectively. | 10 | Remediation of 2,4-dichlorophenol-contaminated groundwater using nano-sized CaO_(2)in a two-dimensional scale tank显示文摘This study evaluates the applicability of nano-sized calcium peroxide(CaO_(2))as a source of H_(2)O_(2)to remediate 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP)contaminated groundwater via the advanced oxidation process(AOP).First,the effect and mechanism of 2,4-DCP degradation by CaO_(2)at different Fe concentrations were studied(Fenton reaction).We found that at high Fe concentrations,2,4-DCP almost completely degrades via primarily the oxidation of·OH within 5 h.At low Fe concentrations,the degradation rate of 2,4-DCP decreased rapidly.The main mechanism was the combined action of·OH and O_(2)^(·−).Without Fe,the 2,4-DCP degradation reached 13.6%in 213 h,primarily via the heterogeneous reaction on the surface of CaO_(2).Besides,2,4-DCP degradation was significantly affected by solution pH.When the solution pH was>10,the degradation was almost completely inhibited.Thus,we adopted a two-dimensional water tank experiment to study the remediation efficiency CaO_(2)on the water sample.We noticed that the degradation took place mainly in regions of pH<10(i.e.,CaO_(2)distribution area),both upstream and downstream of the tank.After 28 days of treatment,the average 2,4-DCP degradation level was≈36.5%.Given the inadequacy of the results,we recommend that groundwater remediation using nano CaO_(2):(1)a buffer solution should be added to retard the rapid increase in pH,and(2)the nano CaO_(2)should be injected copiously in batches to reduce CaO_(2)deposition. | Tianyi Li Chengwu Zhang Jingyi Zhang Song Yan Chuanyu Qin | 2021 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,5: | 2 |
| 11 | Effects of surface roughness on the aerodynamic performance of a high subsonic compressor airfoil at low Reynolds number显示文摘The aerodynamic performance of compressor airfoil is significantly affected by the surface roughness at low Reynolds number(Re).In the present study,numerical simulations have been conducted to investigate the impact of surface roughness on the profile loss of a high subsonic compressor airfoil at Re=1.5×10^(5).Four roughness locations,covering 10%,30%,50%and 100%of the suction surface from the leading edge and seven roughness magnitudes(Ra)ranging from 52 to525 lm were selected.Results showed that the surface roughness mainly determined the loss generation process by influencing the structure of the Laminar Separation Bubble(LSB)and the turbulence level near the wall.For all the roughness locations,the variation trend for the profile loss with the roughness magnitude was similar.In the transitionally rough region,the negative displacement effect of the LSB was suppressed with the increase of roughness magnitude,leading to a maximum decrease of 14.6%,16.04%,16.45%and 10.20%in the profile loss at Ra=157 lm for the four roughness locations,respectively.However,with a further increase of the roughness magnitude in the fully rough region,the stronger turbulent dissipation enhanced the growth rate of the turbulent boundary layer and increased the profile loss instead.By comparison,the leading edge roughness played a dominant role in the boundary layer development and performance variation.To take fully advantage of the surface roughness reducing profile loss at low Re,the effects of roughness on suppressing LSB and inducing strong turbulent dissipation should be balanced effectively. | Mingyang WANG Chengwu YANG Ziliang LI Shengfeng ZHAO Yanfeng ZHANG Xin’gen LU | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,3: | 2 |
| 12 | Spectral characteristics of micro-seismic signals obtained during the rupture of coal显示文摘This study was performed to investigate the spectral characteristics of micro-seismic signals observed during the rupture of coal. Coal rupture micro-seismic observations were obtained on a test system that included an electro-hydraulic servo pressure tester controlled by a YAW microcomputer, a micro-seismic sensor, a loading system, and a signal collection system. The results show that the micro-seismic signal increases with increasing compressive stress at the beginning of coal rupture. The signal remains stable for a period at this stage. A large number of micro-seismic signals appear immediately before the main rupture event. The frequency of micro-seismic events reaches a maximum immediately after the coal ruptures. Micro-seismic signals were decomposed into several Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMF's) by the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method using a Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). The main fre- quency band of the micro-seismic signals was found to range from 10 to 100 Hz in the Hilbert energy spectrum and from marginal spectrum calculations. The advantage of applying an HHT is that this can extract the main features of the signal. | 13 | Degradation of organic contaminants through the activation of oxygen using zero valent copper coupled with sodium tripolyphosphate under neutral conditions显示文摘In this study,sodium tripolyphosphate(STPP)was used to promote the removal of organic pollutants in a zero-valent copper(ZVC)/O2 system under neutral conditions for the first time.20 mg/L p-nitrophenol(PNP)can be completely decomposed within 120 min in the ZVC/O2/STPP system.The PNP degradation process followed pseudo-first-order kinetics and the degradation rate of PNP gradually increased upon the decreasing ZVC particle size.The optimal pH of the reaction system was 5.0.Our mechanism investigation showed that Cu+generated by ZVC corrosion was the main reducing agent for the activation of 02 to produce ROS.-OH was identified as the only ROS formed during the degradation of PNP and its production pathway was the double-electron activation of O2(O2→H2 O2→·OH).In this process,STPP did not only promote the release of Cu+through its complexation,but also promoted the production of OH by reducing the redox potential of Cu2+/Cu+.In addition,we could initiate and terminate the reaction by controlling the pH.At pH<8.1,ZVC/02/STPP could continuously degrade organic pollutants;at pH>8.1,the reaction was terminated.STPP was recycled to continuously promote the corrosion of ZVC and O2 activation as long as the pH was<8.1.This study provided a new and efficient way for O2 activation and organic contaminants removal. | Chengwu Zhang Lishuang Xuan Jingyi Zhang Fang Yuan Xianglong Kong Chuanyu Qin | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,4: | 2 |

| 20 | Intracellular effects of prodrug-like wortmannin probes显示文摘Wortmannin, a known inhibitor of phosphoinositide 3-kinases(PI3 Ks), their low selectivity and high toxicity is still problematic and less is known about their effects on PI3 Ks in cellular systems. Hence, we have synthesized a series of multifunctional wortmannin probes with the ability to self-activate, by installing a clickable handle at C11 site, and secondary amine and cancer-targeting moiety at C20 site respectively. MTT assay first confirmed that self-activating probes have better inhibition potency and biotin enhanced their cancer cell uptake. Further experiments showed most of probes can target PI3 K/Akt/mTOR pathway with prolonged turn-over time.
