| 1 | Diurnal and Seasonal Variations of CO2Fluxes and Their Climate Controlling Factors for a Subtropical Forest in Ningxiang显示文摘In this study, the diurnal and seasonal variations of CO2 fluxes in a subtropical mixed evergreen forest in Ningxiang of Hunan Province, part of the East Asian monsoon region, were quantified for the first time. The fluxes were based on eddy covariance measurements from a newly initiated flux tower. The relationship between the CO2 fluxes and climate factors was also analyzed. The results showed that the target ecosystem appeared to be a clear carbon sink in 2013, with integrated net ecosystem CO2exchange(NEE), ecosystem respiration(RE), and gross ecosystem productivity(GEP) of-428.8, 1534.8 and1963.6 g C m-2yr-1, respectively. The net carbon uptake(i.e. the-NEE), RE and GEP showed obvious seasonal variability,and were lower in winter and under drought conditions and higher in the growing season. The minimum NEE occurred on12 June(-7.4 g C m-2d-1), due mainly to strong radiation, adequate moisture, and moderate temperature; while a very low net CO2 uptake occurred in August(9 g C m-2month-1), attributable to extreme summer drought. In addition, the NEE and GEP showed obvious diurnal variability that changed with the seasons. In winter, solar radiation and temperature were the main controlling factors for GEP, while the soil water content and vapor pressure deficit were the controlling factors in summer. | 2 | A Novel Single Phase Grounding Fault Protection Scheme Without Threshold Setting for Neutral Ineffectively Earthed Power Systems显示文摘The setting values of thresholds for fault feature parameters are critical in all kinds of protection schemes.When the detected feature parameter value exceeds the setting value,the protection will trip.However,the setting value based conventional protection schemes sometimes cannot satisfy the protection requirements of neutral ineffectively earthed power systems(NIEPS)due to wide variations in operating conditions and the complexities of fault cases.In this paper,a novel single phase grounding fault protection scheme without threshold setting is proposed.The fault detection is achieved based on operating states rather than setting values.A fuzzy c-means algorithm is used to divide the operating state of the protected feeder into non-fault states and fault states.The cluster center of each state is then obtained by classifying the historical feature samples of the protected feeder extracted under various operating conditions into their corresponding states in a constructed multi-dimensional fault feature space.The distances between the detected feature samples and the cluster centers of the non-fault and the fault states are calculated.If the distance to the fault state is shorter than that to the non-fault state,a fault is detected.Otherwise,the feeder is considered normal.A PSCAD/EMTDC simulator is used to simulate a 35 kV NIEPS under various operating conditions,non-linear loads,and complex fault cases.Results show that the proposed single phase grounding fault protection scheme without threshold setting can protect the system correctly under all kinds of faults. | Xiangjun Zeng Kun Yu Yuanyuan Wang Yao Xu | 2016 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2016，2，3： | 9 |
| 3 | Jixuecao(Herba Centellae Asiaticae) alleviates mesangial cell proliferation in IgA nephropathy by inducing mitofusin 2 expression显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of mitofusin 2 (Mfn2) and its downstream signaling pathway on glomerular mesangial cells (GMCs) proliferation in IgA nephropathy (IgAN),as well as the mechanism of action of Jixuecao (Herba Centellae Asiaticae,HCA) in the treatment of IgAN.METHODS:Adenovirus-mediated Mfn2 gene transfection and Mfn2 expression were analyzed by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Western blotting.IgA1 induced the proliferation of GMCs,which were then treated with HCA.Cell proliferation was detected with cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8),and Mfn2 expression was analyzed by real-time PCR and western blotting.An IgAN animal model was also established and treated with HCA.GMCs proliferation was detected by hematoxylin-eosin staining,mitochondrial structure was analyzed by electron microscopy,mitochondrial function was determined by the Clark oxygen electrode method,and the expression of Mfn2,Phospho-extracellular regulated protein kinases1/2 (P-ERK1/2),Cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2),Phospho-p27 (p-p27),and cyclin A was analyzed by Western blotting.RESULTS:In vitro,HCA inhibited GMCs in a concentration-dependent manner in association with the upregulation of Mfn2 expression.The overexpression of Mfn2 inhibited IgA1-induced GMCs proliferation and elevated the effect of HCA.In vivo,treatment with HCA could alleviate albuminuria and creatinine and GMCs proliferation.These effects were related to the upregulation of Mfn2,p-p27 and inhibition of p-ERK1/2,CDK2,and cyclinA.Mitochondrial swelling,vacuolar degeneration,and reduction of respiratory control rate were identified in IgAN,but HCA could improve the mitochondrial structure and function.CONCLUSION:HCA inhibited GMCs proliferation via the upregulation Mfn2 and the inhibition of Ras-Raf-ERK/MAPK.We revealed that changes of mitochondrial structure and function are associated with IgAN,but that HCA can improve these mitochondrial features. | Chen Hongyu Du Yuanyuan Li Yayu Zeng Jiali Miao Jianxia Jiang Xue | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019，39，3： | 6 |
| 4 | First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. | 5 | Geochronology, Geochemistry and Hf Isotope of the Late Mesozoic Granitoids from the Lushi Polymetal Mineralization Area: Implication for the Destruction of Southern North China Craton显示文摘The North China Craton(NCC)is the best example of an Archean craton that has lost its stability in the Late Mesozoic.Although the cratonic destruction is generally considered to have occurred in the Eastern Block and reached a peak in the Early Cretaceous,the exact areal extent of cratonic destruction is debated,especially the southern and northern margin of the NCC.Here we report geochronology,geochemical and Hf isotopic data of the Late Mesozoic granitoids from Lushi polymetal mineralization area(LPMA)in the southern margin of NCC.These results provide new insights into the destruction in the southern margin of the NCC during the Late Mesozoic.Zircon U-Pb dating indicates that eight granitoids intruded in the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous(136.8–154.1 Ma),respectively.Geochemical signatures define these granitoids being A-type or I-type granite that formed in an extension setting.In addition,Hf isotopic compositions of zircons from these granitoids vary in a relatively large range,withεHf(t)values and TDM2 ages ranginge from-26.1 to+15.2 and 215 to 2849 Ma,respectively.The parental magmas were likely derived from diverse sources,including materials of the partial melting of ancient lower crust and mantle-derived mafic magmas in various proportions.Combining with previous studies on the contemporaneous magma-tectonic activities in circum of NCC,we suggest that the rim of NCC was already unstabilized from the Late Jurassic in the LPMA.The subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate was the main trigger to the destruction of the southern margin of NCC,which was responsible for the lithospheric extension and thinning,extensive magmatism and mineralization. | Yuanyuan Zhai Shuai Gao Qingdong Zeng Shaoxiong Chu | 2020 | Journal of Earth Science2020，31，2： | 3 |
| 6 | Targeting a novel inducible GPX4 alternative isoform to alleviate ferroptosis and treat metabolic-associated fatty liver disease显示文摘Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD),which is previously known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),represents a major health concern worldwide with limited therapy.Here,we provide evidence that ferroptosis,a novel form of regulated cell death characterized by iron-driven lipid peroxidation,was comprehensively activated in liver tissues from MAFLD patients.The canonical-GPX4(cGPX4),which is the most important negative controller of ferroptosis,is downregulated at protein but not mRNA level.Interestingly,a non-canonical GPX4 transcript-variant is induced(inducible-GPX4,iGPX4)in MAFLD condition.The high fat-fructose/sucrose diet(HFFD)and methionine/choline-deficient diet(MCD)-induced MAFLD pathologies,including hepatocellular ballooning,steatohepatitis andfibrosis,were attenuated and aggravated,respectively,in cGPX4-and iGPX4-knockin mice.cGPX4 and iGPX4 isoforms also displayed opposing effects on oxidative stress and ferroptosis in hepatocytes.Knockdown of iGPX4 by siRNA alleviated lipid stress,ferroptosis and cell injury.Mechanistically,the triggered iGPX4 interacts with cGPX4 to facilitate the transformation of cGPX4 from enzymatic-active monomer to enzymatic-inactive oligomers upon lipid stress,and thus promotes ferroptosis.Co-immunoprecipitation and nano LC–MS/MS analyses confirmed the interaction between iGPX4 and cGPX4.Our results reveal a detrimental role of non-canonical GPX4 isoform in ferroptosis,and indicate selectively targeting iGPX4 may be a promising therapeutic strategy for MAFLD. | Jie Tong Dongjie Li Hongbo Meng Diyang Sun Xiuting Lan Min Ni Jiawei Ma Feiyan Zeng Sijia Sun Jiangtao Fu Guoqiang Li Qingxin Ji Guoyan Zhang Qirui Shen Yuanyuan Wang Jiahui Zhu Yi Zhao Xujie Wang Yi Liu Shenxi Ouyang Chunquan Sheng Fuming Shen Pei Wang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022，12，9： | 3 |

| 9 | Sex-specific association between coffee consumption and incident chronic kidney disease: a population-based analysis of 359,906 participants from the UK Biobank显示文摘Background:The risk for chronic kidney disease(CKD)is influenced by genetic predisposition,sex,and lifestyle.Previous research indicates that coffee is a potentially protective factor in CKD.The current study aims to investigate whether sex disparity exists in the coffee–CKD association,and whether genetic risk of CKD or genetic polymorphisms of caffeine metabolism affect this association.Methods:A total of 359,906 participants from the UK Biobank who were enrolled between 2006 and 2010 were included in this prospective cohort study,which aimed to estimate the hazard ratios for coffee intake and incident CKD using a Cox proportional hazard model.Allele scores of CKD and caffeine metabolism were additionally adjusted for in a subsample with qualified genetic data(n=255,343).Analyses stratified by genetic predisposition,comorbidities,and sex hormones were performed.Tests based on Bayesian model averaging were conducted to ascertain the robustness of the results.Results:Coffee was inversely associated with CKD in a dose-dependent manner.The effects of coffee did not differ across different strata of genetic risk for CKD,but were more evident among slower genetically predicted caffeine metabolizers.Significant sex disparity was observed(P value for interaction=0.013),in that coffee drinking was only associated with the risk reduction of CKD in females.Subgroup analysis revealed that testosterone and sex hormone-binding globulin(SHBG),but not estradiol,modified the coffee–CKD association.Conclusions:In addition to the overall inverse coffee–CKD association that was observed in the general population,we could also establish that a sex disparity existed,in that females were more likely to experience the benefit of the association.Testosterone and SHBG may partly account for the sex disparity. | Lei Tang Lina Yang Wenwen Chen Chunyang Li Yu Zeng Huazhen Yang Yao Hu Yuanyuan Qu Huan Song Xiaoxi Zeng Ping Fu | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022，，12： | 2 |
