| 1 | Synthesis of Porous NiO Nanocrystals with Controllable Surface Area and Their Application as Supercapacitor Electrodes显示文摘We report a facile way to grow various porous NiO nanostructures including nanoslices,nanoplates,and nanocolumns,which show a structure-dependence in their specific charge capacitances.The formation of controllable porosity is due to the dehydration and re-crystallization of β-Ni(OH)_(2) nanoplates synthesized by a hydrothermal process.Thermogravimetric analysis shows that the decomposition temperature of the β-Ni(OH)_(2) nanostructures is related to their morphology.In electrochemical tests,the porous NiO nanostructures show stable cycling performance with retention of specific capacitance over 1000 cycles.Interestingly,the formation of nanocolumns by the stacking of β-Ni(OH)_(2) nanoslices/plates favors the creation of small pores in the NiO nanocrystals obtained after annealing,and the surface area is over five times larger than that of NiO nanoslices and nanoplates.Consequently,the specific capacitance of the porous NiO nanocolumns(390 F/g)is significantly higher than that of the nanoslices(176 F/g)or nanoplates(285 F/g)at a discharge current of 5 A/g.This approach provides a clear illustration of the process-structure-property relationship in nanocrystal synthesis and potentially offers strategies to enhance the performance of supercapacitor electrodes. | Xiaojun Zhang Wenhui Shi Jixin Zhu Weiyun Zhao Jan Ma Subodh Mhaisalkar Tuti Lim Maria Yanhui Yang Hua Zhang Huey Hoon Hng Qingyu Yan | 2010 | Nano Research2010,3,9: | 24 |
| 2 | Using Fuzzy Theory and Variable Weights for Water Quality Evaluation in Poyang Lake, China显示文摘Achieving water purity in Poyang Lake has become a major concern in recent years, thus appropriate evaluation of spatial and temporal water quality variations has become essential. Variations in 11 water quality parameters from 15 sampling sites in Poyang Lake were investigated from 2009 to 2012. An integrative fuzzy variable evaluation(IFVE) model based on fuzzy theory and variable weights was developed to measure variations in water quality. Results showed that: 1) only chlorophyll-a concentration and Secchi depth differed significantly among the 15 sampling sites(P < 0.01), whereas the 11 water quality parameters under investigation differed significantly throughout the seasons(P < 0.01). The annual variations of all water quality variables except for temperature, electrical conductivity, suspended solids and total phosphorus were considerable(P < 0.05). 2) The IFVE model was reasonable and flexible in evaluating water quality status and any possible ′bucket effect′. The model fully considered the influences of extremely poor indices on overall water quality. 3) A spatial analysis indicated that anthropogenic activities(particularly industrial sewage and dredging) and lake bed topography might directly affect water quality in Poyang Lake. | 3 | Ecological studies on Prochlorococcus in China seas显示文摘Prochlorococcus, a tiny oxygenic photosynthetic picoplankton with unique pigment composition, has been found to be ubiquitous and abundant in the world oceans, and has been recognized to be closely related to living resources and environmental issues. It has attracted the interest of marine biologists since its discovery, and field data on it over global oceans have accumulated rapidly in the past 10 years. In China, we have studied Prochlorococcus for 8 years, achieving a basic ecological understanding. The presence of Prochlorococcus in China seas, marginal seas of the west Pacific, was confirmed, and its distribution patterns were also brought to light. Prochlorococcus is very abundant in the South China Sea and the offshore regions of the East China Sea. It is seasonally present in the southeast part of the Yellow Sea and absent in the Bohai Sea. | 5 | Plate tectonic control on the formation and tectonic migration of Cenozoic basins in northern margin of the South China Sea显示文摘The tectonic evolution history of the South China Sea(SCS) is important for understanding the interaction between the Pacific Tectonic Domain and the Tethyan Tectonic Domain,as well as the regional tectonics and geodynamics during the multi-plate convergence in the Cenozoic.Several Cenozoic basins formed in the northern margin of the SCS,which preserve the sedimentary tectonic records of the opening of the SCS.Due to the spatial non-uniformity among different basins,a systematic study on the various basins in the northern margin of the SCS constituting the Northern Cenozoic Basin Group(NCBG) is essential.Here we present results from a detailed evaluation of the spatial-temporal migration of the boundary faults and primary unconformities to unravel the mechanism of formation of the NCBG.The NCBG is composed of the Beibu Gulf Basin(BBGB),Qiongdongnan Basin(QDNB),Pearl River Mouth Basin(PRMB) and Taixinan Basin(TXNB).Based on seismic profiles and gravity-magnetic anomalies,we confirm that the NE-striking onshore boundary faults propagated into the northern margin of the SCS.Combining the fault slip rate,fault combination and a comparison of the unconformities in different basins,we identify NE-striking rift composed of two-stage rifting events in the NCBG:an early-stage rifting(from the Paleocene to the Early Oligocene) and a late-stage rifting(from the Late Eocene to the beginning of the Miocene).Spatially only the late-stage faults occurs in the western part of the NCBG(the BBGB,the QDNB and the western PRMB),but the early-stage rifting is distributed in the whole NCBG.Temporally,the early-stage rifting can be subdivided into three phases which show an eastward migration,resulting in the same trend of the primary unconformities and peak faulting within the NCBG.The late-stage rifting is subdivided into two phases,which took place simultaneously in different basins.The first and second phase of the early-stage rifting is related to back-arc extension of the Pacific subduction retreat system.The third phase of the earlystage rifting resulted from the joint effect of slab-pull force due to southward subduction of the proto-SCS and the back-arc extension of the Pacific subduction retreat system.In addition,the first phase of the late-stage faulting corresponds with the combined effect of the post-collision extension along the Red River Fault and slab-pull force of the proto-SCS subduction.The second phase of the late-stage faulting fits well with the sinistral faulting of the Red River Fault in response to the Indochina Block escape tectonics and the slab-pull force of the proto-SCS. | Pengcheng Wang Sanzhong Li Yanhui Suo Lingli Guo Guangzeng Wang Gege Hui M.Santosh Ian D.Somerville Xianzhi Cao Yang Li | 2020 | Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,4: | 10 |

| 15 | Epidemiological and Virological Surveillance of Seasonal Influenza Viruses—China,2020–2021显示文摘Introduction:During the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,the circulation of seasonal influenza virus declined globally and remained below previous seasonal levels.We analyzed the results of the epidemiology,antigenic,and genetic characteristics,and antiviral susceptibilities of seasonal influenza viruses isolated from the mainland of China during October 5,2020 through September 5,2021,to better assess the risk of influenza during subsequent influenza season in 2021–2022.Methods:Positive rates of influenza virus detection during this period were based on real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)detection by the Chinese National Influenza Surveillance Network laboratories,and isolated viruses from influenza positive samples were submitted to the Chinese National Influenza Center.Antigenic analyses for influenza viruses were conducted using the hemagglutination inhibition assay.Next-generation sequencing was used for genetic analyses.Viruses were tested for resistance to antiviral medications using a phenotypic assay and next-generation sequencing.Results:In southern China,the influenza positivity rate was elevated especially after March 2021 and was higher than the same period the previous year with the COVID-19 pandemic.In northern China,influenza positive rate peaked at Week 18 in 2021 and has declined since then.Nearly all isolated viruses were B/Victoria lineage viruses during the study period,and 37.3%of these viruses are antigenically similar to the reference viruses representing the vaccine components for the 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 Northern Hemisphere influenza season.All seasonal influenza viruses were susceptible to neuraminidase inhibitors and endonuclease inhibitors.Conclusions:Influenza activity has gradually increased in the mainland of China in 2021,although the intensity of activity is still lower than before the COVID-19 pandemic.The diversity of circulating influenza types/subtypes decreased,with the vast majority being B/Victoria lineage viruses.The surveillance data from this study suggest that we should strengthen influenza surveillance during the upcoming traditional influenza season.It also provided evidence for vaccine recommendations and prevention and control of influenza and clinical use of antiviral drugs. | Weijuan Huang Xiyan Li Minju Tan Yanhui Cheng Tao Chen Hejiang Wei Xiaoxu Zeng Yiran Xie Jia Liu Ning Xiao Lei Yang Dayan Wang | 2021 | China CDC weekly2021,3,44: | 4 |

| 20 | The research of space-time coupled spectral element method for acoustic wave equations显示文摘A space-time coupled spectral element method based on Chebyshev polynomials is presented for solving time-dependent wave equations.Acoustic propagation problems in1+1,2+1,3+1 dimensions with the Dirichlet boundary conditions are simulated via space-time coupled spectral element method using quadrilateral,hexahedral and tesseractic elements respectively.Space-time coupled spectral element method can obtain high-order precision over time.With the same total number of nodes,higher numerical precision is obtained if the higher-order Chebyshev polynomials in space directions and lower-order Chebyshev polynomials in time direction are adopted.Numerical illustrations have indicated that the space-time algorithm provides higher precision than the semi-discretization.When space-time coupled spectral element method is used,time subdomain-by-subdomain approach is more economical than time domain approach. | GENG Yanhui QIN Guoliang WANG Yang HE Wei | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics2016,35,1: | 3 |
