1Comprehensive power-supply planning for active distribution system considering cooling,heating and power load balance显示文摘An active distribution system power-supply planning model considering cooling,heating and power load balance is proposed in this paper.A regional energy service company is assumed to be in charge of the investment and operation for the system in the model.The expansion of substations,building up distributed combined cooling,heating and power(CCHP),gas heating boiler(GHB)and air conditioner(AC)are included as investment planning options.In terms of operation,the load scenarios are divided into heating,cooling and transition periods.Also,the extreme load scene is included to assure the power supply reliability of the system.Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model and illustrate the economic benefits of applying distributed CCHP in regional power supply on investment and operation.Xinwei SHEN Yingduo HAN Shouzhen ZHU Jinghong ZHENG Qingsheng LI Jing NONG 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,4:24
2Negative pressure catheter drainage and jejunal feeding for descending necrotizing mediastinitis by interventional techniques:a retrospective study显示文摘Purpose: Descending necrotizing mediastinitis(DNM) is a lethal and acute suppurative disease. This report aimed to summarize our experience in the treatment of DNM with continuous negative pressure catheter drainage and transnasal jejunal feeding by interventional techniques. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively analyzed relevant clinical data of patients with DNM who underwent continuous negative pressure catheter drainage and transnasal jejunal feeding. All drainage catheters and jejunal feeding tubes were inserte d by interventional techniques. Results: In total, 21 patients were diagnosed with DNM by esophagography and computed tomography(CT). Catheters for the drainage of mediastinal abscesses as well as transnasal jejunal feeding tubes were successfully placed in all patients, indicating a 100% success rate. Of all patients, 13 underwent insertion of abscess drainage catheters through percutaneous puncture under DynaCT guidance, while eight had drainage catheter insertion through fistula orifices in the posterior nasopharyngeal wall or esophagus under fluoroscopic guidance. In total, 26 drainage tubes were inserted. One patient with diabetes died of sepsis and diabetic ketoacidosis 5 days postoperatively, while the remaining 20 patients showed good recovery with successful removal of the drainage catheters. Durations of catheterization were 45.2±50.44 days. The overall clinical success rate was 95.2%. Conclusion: The above described methods are non-surgical, minimally invasive and efficacious, and may be alternative therapeutic tools for patients who are not eligible for surgical operation, have a high postoperative risk, or are more likely to choose minimally invasive techniques.Gang Wu Meipan Yin Yi Fang Gang Liu Yonggang Luo Weihong Xie Yaozhang Dai Jin Shi Xinwei Han 2018Journal of Interventional Medicine2018,1,2:6
3DNA Extraction Protocol for Biological Ingredient Analysis of Liuwei Dihuang Wan显示文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) preparations are widely used for healthcare and clinical practice. So far, the methods commonly used for quality evaluation of TCM preparations mainly focused on chemical ingredients. The biological ingredient analysis of TCM preparations is also important because TCM preparations usually contain both plant and animal ingredients,which often include some mis-identified herbal materials, adulterants or even some biological contaminants.For biological ingredient analysis, the efficiency of DNA extraction is an important factor which might affect the accuracy and reliability of identification. The component complexity in TCM preparations is high, and DNA might be destroyed or degraded in different degrees after a series of processing procedures. Therefore, it is necessary to establish an effective protocol for DNA extraction from TCM preparations. In this study, we chose a classical TCM preparation,Liuwei Dihuang Wan(LDW), as an example to develop a TCM-specific DNA extraction method.An optimized cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) method(TCM-CTAB) and three commonlyused extraction kits were tested for extraction of DNA from LDW samples. Experimental results indicated that DNA with the highest purity and concentration was obtained by using TCM-CTAB. To further evaluate the different extraction methods, amplification of the second internal transcribed spacer(ITS2) and the chloroplast genome trnL intron was carried out.The results have shown that PCR amplification was successful only with template of DNA extracted by using TCM-CTAB. Moreover, we performed high-throughput 454 sequencing using DNA extracted by TCM-CTAB. 4Ferritin as a diagnostic, differential diagnostic, and prognostic marker for immune-related adverse events显示文摘Objective:Distinguishing immune-related adverse events(irAEs)caused by immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)from the AEs caused by chemotherapy,targeted therapy,or infection is highly difficult.This study offers new insights into evaluating the diagnosis,differential diagnostic,and prognostic value of ferritin for irAEs induced by ICIs.Methods:From December 1,2018,to April 1,2019,we examined 318 patients with malignant tumors who received serum ferritin monitoring.The cohort comprised 231 patients treated with PD-1 inhibitor or combination with chemotherapy,and 87 patients treated with chemotherapy.Of the 231 patients,90 had irAEs(irAE group),70 had non-irAEs(non-irAE group),67 had no AEs(no irAE-non irAE group),and 4 had unclassified AEs.In the 87 patients,60 had AEs(AE group),and 27 had no AEs(no AE group).Statistical analyses were conducted with nonparametric Mann-Whitney tests.Results:At the onset of AEs in the irAE group,ferritin(normal range,35–150μg/L)rose to a median of 927μg/L(range,117–17,825μg/L)from 86μg/L at baseline(range,29–421μg/L)(P<0.001).Ferritin levels at the onset of AEs in the irAE group were significantly higher than those in the non-irAE group(median,81μg/L;range,32–478μg/L)(P<0.001)and the AE group(median,103μg/L;range,23–712μg/L)(P<0.001).After treatment in the irAE group,ferritin continuously decreased to a normal range in recovered patients,showed no significant changes in stable patients,and continued to rise in patients who died.Conclusions:Ferritin can be used as a diagnostic,differential diagnostic,and prognostic marker for irAEs in patients treated with ICIs.Weihong Zhang Yuan Meng Lin Yang Meng Shen Li Zhou Runmei Li Yang Wang Weijiao Du Yanjuan Xiong Ying Han Xinwei Zhang Liang Liu Xiubao Ren 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4:4
5A Novel Artificial Neuron-Like Gas Sensor Constructed from CuS Quantum Dots/Bi2S3 Nanosheets显示文摘Real-time rapid detection of toxic gases at room temperature is particularly important for public health and environmental monitoring.Gas sensors based on conventional bulk materials often suffer from their poor surface-sensitive sites,leading to a very low gas adsorption ability.Moreover,the charge transportation efficiency is usually inhibited by the low defect density of surface-sensitive area than that in the interior.In this work,a gas sensing structure model based on CuS quantum dots/Bi_(2)S_(3) nanosheets(CuS QDs/Bi_(2)S_(3) NSs)inspired by artificial neuron network is constructed.Simulation analysis by density functional calculation revealed that CuS QDs and Bi_(2)S_(3) NSs can be used as the main adsorption sites and charge transport pathways,respectively.Thus,the high-sensitivity sensing of NO_(2) can be realized by designing the artificial neuron-like sensor.The experimental results showed that the CuS QDs with a size of about 8 nm are highly adsorbable,which can enhance the NO_(2) sensitivity due to the rich sensitive sites and quantum size effect.The Bi_(2)S_(3) NSs can be used as a charge transfer network channel to achieve efficient charge collection and transmission.The neuron-like sensor that simulates biological smell shows a significantly enhanced response value(3.4),excellent responsiveness(18 s)and recovery rate(338 s),low theoretical detection limit of 78 ppb,and excellent selectivity for NO_(2).Furthermore,the developed wearable device can also realize the visual detection of NO2 through real-time signal changes.Xinwei Chen Tao Wang Jia Shi Wen Lv Yutong Han Min Zeng Jianhua Yang Nantao Hu Yanjie Su Hao Wei Zhihua Zhou Zhi Yang Yafei Zhang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,1:3
6Synergistic effects of silver nanoparticles and cisplatin in combating inflammation and hyperplasia of airway stents显示文摘Anti-inflammatory and antihyperplasia activities are essential requirements for the successful use of airway stents.In this work,silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)and cisplatin(DDP)were combined in a synergistic modification strategy to improve the surface function of airway stents.Using polycaprolactone(PCL)as a drug carrier,a dual-functional PCL-AgNPs-DDP fiber film-coated airway stent was fabricated by electrospinning.The physicochemical and biological properties of the obtained fiber films were examined.The ATR-FTIR,XPS,SEM-EDS and TEM results suggested that AgNPs and DDP could be successfully immobilized onto the airway stent surface.The drug release and surface degradation results revealed that AgNPs and DDP can undergo sustained release from films for 30 d,and the weight loss was approximately 50%after 35 d.In addition,the dual-functional fiber film suppressed human embryonic lung fibroblast growth and exhibited excellent antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans.Furthermore,the effectiveness of the dual-functional fiber film-coated airway stent was evaluated by application to the trachea of New Zealand rabbits.The in vivo results indicated that PCL-AgNPs-DDP fiber film-coated airway stent can significantly inhibit granulation tissue formation and collagen deposition,reduced the expression of IL-8,TNF-α,IL-1α,PCNA,α-SMA and CD68,and ultimately achieved anti-inflammatory and antihyperplasia effects.Hence,this study provides a dual-functional surface-coated airway stent to address the clinical complications associated with respiratory tract inflammation and granulation tissue hyperplasia,thus inhibiting tracheal stenosis.Zhaonan Li Chuan Tian Dechao Jiao Jing Li Yahua Li Xueliang Zhou Huiping Zhao Yanan Zhao Xinwei Han 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:1
7A creatinine-based model for predicting recurrent bleeding after modified percutaneous transhepatic variceal embolization in patients with cirrhosis显示文摘Background:Patients who survive initial esophagogastric variceal bleeding(EVB)are at an increased risk of recurrent bleeding and death;however,a reliable predictive model is lacking.We aimed to develop a model for rebleeding prediction in patients with EVB after modified percutaneous transhepatic variceal embolization(PTVE)with cyanoacrylate.Methods:A total of 122 patients with EVB who underwent PTVE from January 2015 to November 2020 were enrolled.Multivariate logistic analyses were conducted to determine independent risk factors for nomogram construction.The discrimination,calibration,and clinical utility of the nomogram were compared with the Model for End-stage Liver Disease score(MELD)and the Child–Pugh model.Risk stratification was performed according to the nomogram.Results:Rebleeding within 3 months of PTVE occurred in 32 patients(26.2%).Independent rebleeding indicators included prior history of endoscopic therapy,Child–Pugh score,partial splenic embolization,and creatinine level.The nomogram incorporating these four predictors achieved excellent calibration and discriminatory abilities,with a concordance index of 0.85,which was confirmed to be 0.83 through bootstrapping validation.The nomogram demonstrated superior discrimination and clinical applicability than the MELD and Child–Pugh models.As shown in the Kaplan–Meier curves,high-risk patients had a high probability of rebleeding(P<0.001).Conclusions:The creatinine-based nomogram had a superior ability to predict rebleeding after PTVE in patients with EVB.Risk stratification may help identify high-risk patients and lead to the earlier implementation of aggressive treatments and formulation of intensive follow-up plans.Kun Ji Xin Li Hanlong Zhu Si Zhao Pengchao Zhan Yang Shi Shuwen Ye Bingcan Xie Yuyuan Zhang Peng Yu Zhigang Ren Juan Ding Xinwei Han Zhen Li 2022Journal of Interventional Medicine2022,5,2:1

12Immunosenescence:molecular mechanisms and diseases显示文摘Infection susceptibility,poor vaccination efficacy,age-related disease onset,and neoplasms are linked to innate and adaptive immune dysfunction that accompanies aging(known as immunosenescence).During aging,organisms tend to develop a characteristic inflammatory state that expresses high levels of pro-inflammatory markers,termed inflammaging.This chronic inflammation is a typical phenomenon linked to immunosenescence and it is considered the major risk factor for age-related diseases.Thymic involution,naïve/memory cell ratio imbalance,dysregulated metabolism,and epigenetic alterations are striking features of immunosenescence.Disturbed T-cell pools and chronic antigen stimulation mediate premature senescence of immune cells,and senescent immune cells develop a proinflammatory senescence-associated secretory phenotype that exacerbates inflammaging.Although the underlying molecular mechanisms remain to be addressed,it is well documented that senescent T cells and inflammaging might be major driving forces in immunosenescence.Potential counteractive measures will be discussed,including intervention of cellular senescence and metabolic-epigenetic axes to mitigate immunosenescence.In recent years,immunosenescence has attracted increasing attention for its role in tumor development.As a result of the limited participation of elderly patients,the impact of immunosenescence on cancer immunotherapy is unclear.Despite some surprising results from clinical trials and drugs,it is necessary to investigate the role of immunosenescence in cancer and other age-related diseases.Zaoqu Liu Qimeng Liang Yuqing Ren Chunguang Guo Xiaoyong Ge Libo Wang Quan Cheng Peng Luo Yi Zhang Xinwei Han 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,6:1

14Efficacy of patient-controlled hydromorphone analgesia in those undergoing uterine fibroid artery embolization via the right radial artery显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of patient-controlled analgesia(PCA) with hydromorphone as perioperative analgesia during uterine artery embolization(UAE) via the right radial artery.Patients and methods: A total of 33 patients with uterine fibroids, who underwent UAE at the authors’ hospital between June 2021 and March 2022, were selected. Hydromorphone(10 mg) was dispensed into a 100 ml PCA pump with normal saline. Pump administration was initiated 15 min before the start of the procedure, and the intraoperative dose was adjusted according to patient pain level. A numerical rating scale was used to evaluate pain immediately after embolization, 5 min after embolization, at the end of the procedure, and 6, 12, 24, 48, and 72 h after the procedure. Side effects were also observed.Results: Thirty-three patients underwent uterine artery embolization via the right radial artery. Patient pain was well controlled at all time points surveyed, and patients reported satisfaction with analgesia. The median length of hospital stay was 5 days. There were 7 cases of adverse reactions, but no serious side effects were observed.Conclusion: Patients reported positive experiences with arterial embolization of uterine fibroids via the right radial artery. Hydromorphone PCA effectively controlled pain. 18Compounding effects of human activities and climatic changes on coexistence of oasis-desert ecosystems:Prioritizing resilient decision-making for a riskier world显示文摘Water-salt balance is critical for the stable coexistence of salt-affected and groundwater-fed oasis-desert ecosystems. Yet, a comprehensive investigation of how soil salinization and groundwater degradation threaten the coexistence of oasis-desert ecosystems is still scarce, especially under the compounding effects of human activities and climatic changes. Here, we assessed the impacts of irrigated agriculture on hydrological regimes in oasisdesert systems, investigated the spatio-temporal variations of soil salinization in irrigated cropland, and evaluated the implications of the interplays of soil salinization and groundwater degradation on the coexistence of oasis-desert ecosystems in northwestern China, based on meaningful modelling approaches and comprehensive measurements over 1995–2020. The results showed that the irrigation return flow coefficient decreased sharply from 0.21 ± 0.09 in the traditional irrigation period to 0.09 ± 0.01 in the water-saving irrigation period. The continuous drop in groundwater tables and significant degradation of groundwater quality are occurring throughout this watershed. The eco-environmental flows are reaching to their limit with watershed closures(i.e.,the drainage from the oasis region into the desert region is being weakened or even eliminated), although these progressions were largely hidden by regional precipitation and streamflow variability. The process of salt migration and accumulation across different landscapes in oasis-desert system is being reshaped, and soil salinization in water-saving agricultural irrigated lands is accelerating with a regional average annual growth rate of18%. The vegetation in this watershed is degrading, and anthropogenic disturbance accelerates this trend. Our results highlight that environmental stress adaptation strategies must account for resilience maintenance to avoid accelerating catastrophic transitions in oasis-desert ecosystems.
