1Prediction and mitigation analysis of ground vibration caused by running high-speed trains on rigid-frame viaducts显示文摘In this study a 3D numerical analysis approach is developed to predict the ground vibration around rigid-frame viaducts induced by running high-speed trains.The train-bridge-ground interaction system is divided into two subsystems:the train-bridge interaction and the soil-structure interaction.First,the analytical program to simulate bridge vibration with consideration of train-bridge interaction is developed to obtain the vibration reaction forces at the pier bottoms.The highspeed train is described by a multi-DOFs vibration system and the rigid-frame viaduct is modeled with 3D beam elements.Second,applying these vibration reaction forces as input external excitations,the ground vibration is simulated by using a general-purpose program that includes soil-structure interaction effects.The validity of the analytical procedure is confirmed by comparing analytical and experimental results.The characteristics of high-speed train-induced vibrations,including the location of predominant vibration,are clarified.Based on this information a proposed vibration countermeasure using steel strut and new barrier is found effective in reducing train-induced vibrations and it satisfies environmental vibration requirements.The vibration screening efficiency is evaluated by reduction VAL based on 1/3 octave band spectral analysis.Liangming Sun Weiping Xie Xingwen He Toshiro Hayashikawa 2016Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2016,15,1:5
2Numerical analysis on seismic response of Shinkansen bridge-train interaction system under moderate earthquakes显示文摘This study is intended to evaluate the influence of dynamic bridge-train interaction (BTI) on the seismic response of the Shinkansen system in Japan under moderate earthquakes. An analytical approach to simulate the seismic response of the BTI system is developed. In this approach, the behavior of the bridge structure is assumed to be within the elastic range under moderate ground motions. A bullet train car model idealized as a sprung-mass system is established. The viaduct is modeled with 3D finite elements. The BTI analysis algorithm is verified by comparing the analytical and experimental results. The seismic analysis is validated through comparison with a general program. Then, the seismic responses of the BTI system are simulated and evaluated. 3Detection of diverse viruses in alimentary specimens of bats in Macao显示文摘Bats carry a variety of viruses, and some of them cause public health problems. Macao, which is famous for its gambling industry, has a complex population structure. The globalization in such an international metropolis has enhanced the chance of disease transmission. Therefore, surveillance of zoonotic viruses is necessary for the early warning of potential emerging infectious diseases.Here, we report the first surveillance of bat viruses in Macao. In this study, we collected 1004 samples involving 10 bat species from 7 sites from April 2015 to May 2016, and examined the presence of viruses using nucleic acid-based methods. Coronaviruses, adenoviruses and paramyxoviruses were detected in these samples, with a high prevalence of coronaviruses. While,none was positive for hepatitis A virus, hepatitis E virus or hantavirus. 6Community Characteristics and Species Diversity of Wetland Plants in the Yangguan Nature Reserve of Dunhuang显示文摘As a typical inland wetland, Yangguan nature reserve wetland in Dunhuang is one of the important stops of migratory route for birds, which is vulnerable and particular. Study on the community characteristics and species diversity of wetland has great signifi cance for biodiversity protection. Based on the fi eld investigation, the fl oristic composition, geographical elements and species diversity of wetland plants were studied in Yangguan reserve of Dunhuang. The results showed that 26 families, 56 genera and 74 species were recorded in the study area. The largest families were the Gramineae and Chenopodiaceae, accounting for 29.73% of the total. Herbs were the most abundant life-form, accounting for 77.03% of the total. The fl oral geographical elements of the plants were mainly composed of temperate zone distribution type. By using two way indicator species analysis(TWINSPAN), the vegetation in 36 sampling plots could be classifi ed into 8 communities. The species diversity indexes of communities were relatively low, but had large differences among each other. According to the importance value, the Margalef richness index(Rm) ranged from 0 to 4.200. Simpson diversity index(D) was between 0 and 0.512; Shannon diversity index(H) ranged from 0 to 1.400, and Pielou evenness index(J) was within the range of 0.538 to 1.000. 7Pangolin HKU4-related coronaviruses found in greater bamboo bats from southern China显示文摘Coronavirus(CoV)spillover originating from game animals,particularly pangolins,is currently a significant concern.Meanwhile,vigilance is urgently needed for coronaviruses carried by bats,which are known as natural reservoirs of many coronaviruses.In this study,we collected 729 anal swabs of 20 different bat species from nine locations in Yunnan and Guangdong provinces,southern China,in 2016 and 2017,and described the molecular characteristics and genetic diversity of alphacoronaviruses(αCoVs)and betacoronaviruses(βCoVs)found in these bats.Using RT-PCR,we identified 58(8.0%)bat CoVs in nine bat species from six locations.Furthermore,using the Illumina platform,we obtained two representative full-length genomes of the bat CoVs,namely TyRo-CoV-162275 and TyRo-CoV-162269.Sequence analysis showed that TyRo-CoV-162275 shared the highest identity with Malayan pangolin(Manis javanica)HKU4-related coronaviruses(MjHKU4r-CoVs)from Guangxi Province,whereas TyRo-CoV-162269 was closely related to HKU33-CoV discovered in a greater bamboo bat(Tylonycteris robustula)from Guizhou Province.Notably,TyRo-CoV-162275 has a putative furin protease cleavage site in its S protein and is likely to utilize human dipeptidyl peptidase-4(hDPP4)as a cell-entry receptor,similar to MERSCoV.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first report of a bat HKU4r-CoV strain containing a furin protease cleavage site.These findings expand our understanding of coronavirus geographic and host distributions.Min Guo Kai Zhao Xingwen Peng Xiangyang He Jin Deng Bo Wang Xinglou Yang Libiao Zhang 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,6:0
8Improving Wildfire Probability Modeling by Integrating Dynamic-Step Weather Variables over Northwestern Sichuan,China显示文摘Wildfire occurrence is attributed to the interaction of multiple factors including weather,fuel,topography,and human activities.Among them,weather variables,particularly the temporal characteristics of weather variables in a given period,are paramount in predicting the probability of wildfire occurrence.However,rainfall has a large influence on the temporal characteristics of weather variables if they are derived from a fixed period,introducing additional uncertainties in wildfire probability modeling.To solve the problem,this study employed the weather variables in continuous nonprecipitation days as the'dynamic-step'weather variables with which to improve wildfire probability modeling.Multisource data on weather,fuel,topography,infrastructure,and derived variables were used to model wildfire probability based on two machine learning methods—random forest(RF)and extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost).The results indicate that the accuracy of the wildfire probability models was improved by adding dynamic-step weather variables into the models.The variable importance analysis also verified the top contribution of these dynamic-step weather variables,indicating the effectiveness of the consideration of dynamic-step weather variables in wildfire probability modeling.Rui Chen Binbin He Xingwen Quan Xiaoying Lai Chunquan Fan 2023International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2023,14,2:0
9Reinforcement Effect Evaluation on Dynamic Characteristics of an Arch Bridge Based on Vehicle-Bridge Coupled Vibration Analysis显示文摘To numerically evaluate the reinforcement effect on dynamic characteristics of a concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge with vibration problems,a 12-degree-of-freedom sprung-mass dynamic vehicle model and a 3D finite element bridge model were established.Then,the coupled equations of vehicle-bridge interaction were derived and a computer program was developed using the FORTRAN language.This program can accurately simulate vehicle-bridge coupled vibration considering the bumping effect and road surface irregularity during motion of the vehicle.The simulated results were compared with those of relevant literatures to verify the correctness of the self-developed program.Then,three reinforcement schemes for the bridge(Addition of longitudinal beams,Reinforcement of bridge decks,and Replacement of suspenders)were proposed and numerically simulated,and the vibration reduction effects of the three schemes were evaluated based on the numerical results to find effective ones.It is confirmed that the reinforcement scheme of Addition of longitudinal beams shows the most significant vibration reduction effect.It is recommended in the engineering practice that the combination of the reinforcement schemes of Addition of longitudinal beams and Replacement of bridge deck can be used to solve the excessive vibration problem.Yanbin Tan Xingwen He Lei Shi Shi Zheng Zhe Zhang Xinshan Wang 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,5:0
10System dynamics in structural strength and vibration fatigue life assessment of the swing bar for high‐speed maglev train显示文摘High‐speed maglev trains are subjected to severe dynamic loads,thus posing a failure hazard.It is necessary to account for the vehicle dynamics to improve the structural strength and fatigue life assessment approach under harsh routes and super high‐speed grades.As the most critical load‐carrying part between the vehicle body and levitation frames,the swing bar was taken as an example to demonstrate the significance of vehicle dynamics to integrate classical structural strength and fatigue life with the service conditions.A multiphysics‐coupled dynamic model of an alpha improvement scheme for an electromagnetic suspension maglev train capable of 600 km/h was established to investigate the complex dynamic loads and fatigue spectra.Using this model,the structural strength and fatigue life of the wrought swing bars were investigated.Results show only a slight effect on the structural strength and fatigue life of swing bars by the super high‐speed grades.The nonaxial bending moments caused by the uncompensated relative displacement between the vehicle body and bolsters are identified as the decisive factors.The minimum safety factor of the structural strength for wrought swing bars is 1.33,while the minimum fatigue life is 34 years.Both match the design requirements but are not conservative enough.Therefore,further verification and optimization are recommended to improve the design of swing bars.Feng Guo Feifei Hu Shengchuan Wu Feng He Jianxin Liu Xingwen Wu 2022International Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics2022,2,2:0
