| 1 | Delayed sowing can increase lodging resistance while maintaining grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency in winter wheat显示文摘Lodging resistance of winter wheat(Trnticum aestivum L.) can be increased by late sowing.However, whether grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE) can be maintained with delayed sowing remains unknown. During the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 growing seasons, two winter wheat cultivars were sown on three dates(early sowing on October 1, normal so,wing on October8, and late sowing on October 15) to investigate the responses of lodging resistance, grain yield,and NUE to sowing date. No significant differences in lodging resistance, grain yield, or NUE between early and normal sowing were observed. Averaging over the two cultivars and years,postponing the sowing date significantly increased lodging resistance by 53.6% and 49.6%compared with that following early and normal sowing, respectively. Lodging resistance was improved mainly through a reduction in the culm height at the center of gravity and an increase in the tensile strength of the base internode. Late sowing resulted in similar grain yield as well as kernel weight and number of kernels per square meter, compared to early and normal sowing.Averaging over the two cultivars and years, delayed sowing resulted in a reduction in nitrogen uptake efficiency(UPE) by 11.0% and 9.9% compared to early and normal sowing, respectively,owing to reduced root length density and dry matter accumulation before anthesis. An average increase in nitrogen utilization efficiency(UTE) of 12.9% and 11.2% compared to early and normal sowing, respectively, was observed with late sowing owing to a reduction in the grain nitrogen concentration. The increase in UTE offset the reduction in UPE, resulting in equal NUEs among all sowing dates. | 2 | A microporous surface containing Si3N4/Ta microparticles of PEKK exhibits both antibacterial and osteogenic activity for inducing cellular response and improving osseointegration显示文摘As an implantable biomaterial,polyetherketoneketone(PEKK)exhibits good mechanical strength but it is biologically inert while tantalum(Ta)possesses outstanding osteogenic bioactivity but has a high density and elastic modulus.Also,silicon nitride(SN)has osteogenic and antibacterial activity.In this study,a microporous surface containing both SN and Ta microparticles on PEKK(STP)exhibiting excellent osteogenic and antibacterial activity was created by sulfonation.Compared with sulfonated PEKK(SPK)without microparticles,the surface properties(roughness,surface energy,hydrophilicity and protein adsorption)of STP significantly increased due to the SN and Ta particles presence on the microporous surface.In addition,STP also exhibited outstanding antibacterial activity,which inhibited bacterial growth in vitro and prevented bacterial infection in vivo because of the presence of SN particles.Moreover,the microporous surface of STP containing both SN and Ta particles remarkably induced response(e.g.,proliferation and differentiation)of rat bone mesenchymal stem(rBMS)cells in vitro.Furthermore,STP significantly improved new bone regeneration and osseointegration in vivo.Regarding the induction of cellular response in vitro and improvement of osseointegration in vivo,the microporous surface containing Ta was better than the surface with SN particles.In conclusion,STP with optimized surface properties activated cellular responses in vitro,enhanced osseointegration and prevented infection in vivo.Therefore,STP possessed the dual biofunctions of excellent osteogenic and antibacterial activity,showing great potential as a bone substitute. | Xinglong Hu Shiqi Mei Fan Wang Songchao Tang Dong Xie Chao Ding Wenli Du Jun Zhao Lili Yang Zhaoying Wu Jie Wei | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 6 |

| 10 | Event-triggered shared lateral control for safe-maneuver of intelligent vehicles显示文摘With the increasing number of cars,road traffic accidents have caused a lot of losses every year and human factors play an important role in many cases.Applying active safety assistance control or shared control techniques in intelligent vehicles is promising to reduce the number of traffic accidents.In this context,the dynamic optimization of the shared control policy and the smooth transitions of control authority between human drivers and intelligent driving systems are critical issues to be solved.Motivated by this,this paper proposes an event-triggered shared control approach for safe-maneuver of intelligent vehicles with online risk assessment.In the proposed approach,a Bayesian regularized artificial neural network(BRANN)is designed to predict vehicle trajectories and build a quantization function to assess the risk level owing to potential collision events.The shared controller dynamically optimizes the shared control policies between the human and the intelligent driving system via solving a model predictive control(MPC)problem.The predicted driving behaviors in the prediction horizon are pre-computed with a finite-horizon model predictor steering the predicted trajectories contributed by human driving.Moreover,smooth transitions back to human driving mode are realized via adding penalties on the shared control of the intelligent driving system.Three simulation scenarios in the PreScan environment,i.e.,rear-end collision avoidance,lane-keeping and unskilled driving,are studied to test the effectiveness of the proposed approach.The simulation results,including the comparison with a linear quadratic regulator(LQR)-based shared controller,are reported,which show that the proposed approach can timely evaluate dangerous events and realize safe driving in terms of collision avoidance and lane-keeping.Also,the proposed approach outperforms the LQR-based shared controller in terms of smooth transitions. | Yan JIANG Xinglong ZHANG Xin XU Xing ZHOU Zhengzheng DONG | 2021 | Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,7: | 1 |
| 11 | Mssbauer Effect in Ultrafine Particles with Fe-C Solid Solution,γ-Fe and Fe_3C Phases显示文摘Ultrafine particles prepared by evaporating pure Fe in CH4 atmosphere using arc-dischargeheating method, were found to consist of Fe-C solid solution, γ-Fe and Fe3C phases. EfFect of annealing temperature on phase transformation and hyperfine interactions has been investigated by Mossbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetry (DTA-TG), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), oxygen determination and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) measurements. It was observed that phase transformation of γ-Fe to α-Fe occurs during annealing in vacuum. The mechanism causing the change of hyperfine interactions with annealing temperature differs for Fe-C solution and interstitial compounds. DifFerence of hyperfine interactions of Fe-C solid solution in the starting sample and its annealed samples is ascribed to the improvement of activation of interstitial carbon atoms. Stress-relieving in structure of annealed Fe3C particle can result in a weak influence on hyperfine interactions. Parameters fitted to the Mossbauer spectra show the existence of superparamagnetism in all the samples. | 17 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 18 | Superior Iodine Uptake Capacity Enabled by an Open Metal-Sulfide Framework Composed of Three Types of Active Sites显示文摘Efficient adsorption of gaseous radioiodine is pivotal for the sustainable development of nuclear energy and the long-termradiation safety of the ecological system.However,state-of-the-art adsorbents(e.g.metal-organic frameworks and covalent-organic frameworks)currently under exploration suffer severely from limited adsorption capacity,especially under a real-world scenariowith extremely lowradioiodine concentration and elevated temperature.This mostly originates from the relatively weak sorption driving forces mainly determinedby the iodine-adsorbent interaction consistingof noncovalent interactionswith a small fraction of strong chemical bonding.Here,we document the discovery of an open metal-sulfide framework((NH_(4))_(2)(Sn_(3)S_(7)),donated as SCU-SnS)constructed by three different types of active sites as a superior iodine adsorbent.Benefiting from the ability of iodine for pre-enrichment into the framework by charge-balancing NH_(4)^(+)through N-H···I interaction,the efficient reduction of I^(2)affording I^(-)by S^(2-),and extremely high binding affinity between Sn_(4)^(+)and I^(-),SCU-SnS exhibit a record-breaking iodine adsorption capacity(2.12 g/g)under dynamic breakthrough conditions and the highest static capacity(6.12 g/g)among all reported inorganic adsorbents,both at 348 K.Its facile synthesis and low cost endow SCU-SnS with powerful application potential for the nuclear industry. | Yugang Zhang Linwei He Tingting Pan Jian Xie Fuqi Wu Xinglong Dong Xia Wang Lixi Chen Shicheng Gong Wei Liu Litao Kang Junchang Chen Lanhua Chen Long Chen Yu Han Shuao Wang | 2023 | CCS Chemistry2023,5,7: | 0 |
