| 1 | Measures against the adverse impact of natural wind on air-cooled condensers in power plant显示文摘The natural wind plays disadvantageous roles in the operation of air-cooled steam condensers in power plant.It is of use to take various measures against the adverse effect of wind for the performance improvement of air-cooled condensers.Based on representative 2×600 MW direct air-cooled power plant,three ways that can arrange and optimize the flow field of cooling air thus enhance the heat transfer of air-cooled condensers were proposed.The physical and mathematical models of air-cooled condensers with various flow leading measures were presented and the flow and temperature fields of cooling air were obtained by CFD simulation.The back pressures of turbine were calculated for different measures on the basis of the heat transfer model of air-cooled condensers.The results show that the performance of air-cooled condensers is improved thus the back pressure of turbine is lowered to some extent by taking measures against the adverse impact of natural wind. | YANG LiJun,DU XiaoZe & YANG YongPing Key Laboratory of Condition Monitoring and Control for Power Plant Equipment of Ministry of Education of China,North China Electric Power University,Beijing 102206,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,5: | 21 |
| 2 | Antibiotic growth promoter olaquindox increases pathogen susceptibility in fish by inducing gut microbiota dysbiosis显示文摘Low dose antibiotics have been used as growth promoters in livestock and fish. The use of antibiotics has been associated with reduced pathogen infections in livestock. In contrast, antibiotic growth promoter has been suspected of leading to disease outbreaks in aquaculture. However, this phenomenon is circumstantial and has not been confirmed in experimental conditions. In this study,we showed that antibiotic olaquindox increased the susceptibility of zebrafish to A. hydrophila infection. Olaquindox led to profound alterations in the intestinal microbiota of zebrafish, with a drastic bloom of Enterobacter and diminishing of Cetobacterium. Moreover, the innate immune responses of zebrafish were compromised by olaquindox(P<0.05). Transfer of microbiota to GF zebrafish indicated that while the immuo-suppression effect of olaquindox is a combined effect mediated by both OLA-altered micro biota and direct action of the antibiotic(P<0.05), the increased pathogen susceptibility was driven by the OLA-altered microbiota and was not dependent on direct antibiotic effect. | 4 | Variations in leaf characteristics of three species of angiosperms with changing of altitude in Qilian Mountains and their inland high-altitude pattern显示文摘In this study,39 leaf samples of three angiosperms(Betula albo-sinensis,tree species;and Caragana jubata and Berberis diaphana,shrub species) were collected in the middle-east parts at 2300–3640 m asl of the Qilian Mountains to study the variations of leaf characteristics of angiosperms with altitude change in inland high-altitude regions of China.Five leaf indexes,viz.epidermal cell density(ED),stomatal density(SD),stomatal index(SI),leaf vein density(VD) and carbon isotopic ratio(δ13C),were analyzed in laboratory.The results show that there are significant or even very significant linear correlations between the five indexes and altitude,of which SD,SI and VD exhibit a negative correlation with altitude,while ED and δ13C exhibit a positive correlation with altitude.Such a correlation assemblage is quite different from the situation in the low-altitude humid environment.Generally,only an assemblage of positive correlations can be observed between the indexes(viz.SD,SI and δ13C,etc.) and the altitude in the low-altitude humid environment,which were caused mainly by the plants' responses to the change of atmospheric CO2 concentration(Cα).However,an assemblage of the negative and positive correlations found here may be attributed mainly to the plants' responses to the change of physiological drought caused by change of low temperature,and here it is preliminarily called the inland high-altitude pattern of plant leaf variations. | WANG XueFang LI RuiYun LI XiaoZe MA FuJun SUN BaiNian WU JingYu WANG YouKui | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4: | 8 |
| 5 | Numerical investigation on the cluster effect of an array of axial flow fans for air-cooled condensers in a power plant显示文摘The aerodynamic behavior of tens of axial flow fans incorporated with air-cooled condensers in a power plant is different from that of an individual fan.Investigation of the aerodynamic characteristics of axial flow fan array benefits its design optimization and running regulation.Based on a representative 2600 MW direct-dry cooling power plant,the flow rate of each fan and the overall flow rate of the fan array are obtained in the absence of ambient wind and at various wind speeds and directions,using CFD simulation.The cluster factor of each fan and the average cluster factor of the fan array are calculated and analyzed.Results show that the cluster factors are different from each other and that the cluster effect with ambient wind is significantly different from the cluster effect with no wind.The fan at the periphery of the array or upwind of the ambient wind generally has a small cluster factor.The average cluster factor of the array decreases with the increasing wind speeds and also varies widely with wind direction.The cluster effect of the axial flow fan array can be applied to optimize the design and operation of air-cooled condensers in a power plant. | YANG LiJun DU XiaoZe ZHANG Hui YANG YongPing | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,21: | 6 |
| 6 | Novel Ag nanocrystals based dental resin composites with enhanced mechanical and antibacterial properties显示文摘The aim of this work was to investigate the effect of trace addition of oleic acid coated Ag nanocrystals(Ag NCs) on mechanical and antibacterial properties of dental resin composites.Composites(70 wt%of silica loading) with 25 ppm,50 ppm,75 ppm and 100 ppm(wt) Ag NCs were prepared and the composite without Ag NCs served as a control.The experimental results showed that the addition of Ag NCs significantly improved the strength and modulus of the resin composite without compromising the shade.For the composite with 50 ppm Ag NCs,fiexural strength(140.3 MPa),modulus(13.2 GPa)and compressive strength(347.2 MPa) were increased by 4.1%,22.2%,13.3%,respectively,compared with the control.The antibacterial test demonstrated that trace Ag NCs provided the resin composites with an antibacterial effect.Such strong and antibacterial dental resin composites might be advantageous to prevent secondary caries and be potential for future clinical applications. | Fengwei Liu Ruili Wang Yuyuan Shi Xiaoze Jiang Bin Sun Meifang Zhu | 2013 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,6: | 5 |

| 9 | Preparation and performance of lipophilic α-zirconium phosphate with high thermal stability and its application in thermal-plastic polymers显示文摘To prepare lipophilic α-zirconium phosphate with high grafting ratio and thermal stability(OZrP-HT) and explore its potential application in thermal-plastic polymers,a novel method was developed by surface lipophilicity enhancement strategy.The commercial a-zirconium phosphate(a-ZrP) was pre-intercalated by n-propylamine(PA) and grafted by silane coupling agents.Then the pre-intercalated PA was removed by heattreatment,and the obtained OZrP-HT was utilized to fabricate the phosphorous-containing polyester(P-co-PET)/OZrP-HT nanocomposites by melt-blending method.The prepared OZrP-HT and P-co-PET/OZrP-HT nanocomposites were characterized by Wide Angle X-ray Diffraction(WAXD),Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR),Thermogravimetric Analysis(TGA),Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM),etc.The results show that OZrP-HT with high grafting ratio(13.78 wt%) and thermal stability(T_(onset)= 368℃) was successfully prepared via this novel method and was uniformly intercalated by P-co-PET molecular chains.OZrP-HT had no significant effect on the fiber processability of P-co-PET polymer,and flame retardant properties of(P-co-PET)/OZrP-HT nanocomposites were improved.This method may be suitable for organic modification of general inorganic layered compounds and could extend the potential applications in thermo-plastic polymers. | Ya Du Feng Deng Xiaoze Jiang Huquan Ji Dan Yu Wei Wang Bin Sun Meifang Zhu | 2015 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,5: | 3 |

| 11 | Kinetics for hydrogen production by methanol steam reforming in fluidized bed reactor显示文摘Hydrogen is one of the best energy carriers.Fluidized bed reactor provides a promising approach for hydrogen production. To describe the hydrogen generating rate with methanol steam reforming in fluidized bed reactor quantitatively, dual-rate kinetic models of the reactions with exponent form were developed, including that of steam reforming reaction(SR) and decomposition reaction(DE).The reaction rate per unit mass of catalyst was related to partial pressures of components. The exponentials in kinetic equations were obtained by linear least-squares method based on the experimental data. The variance homogeneity test(F test) shows that the dynamic models are feasible with high accuracy, which can be used to predict the generating rate of hydrogen under different reaction temperatures and feed flow rates in fluidized bed reactor. | 12 | A review of concentrated photovoltaic-thermal(CPVT) hybrid solar systems with waste heat recovery(WHR)显示文摘In conventional photovoltaic(PV) systems, a large portion of solar energy is dissipated as waste heat since the generating efficiency is usually less than 30%. As the dissipated heat can be recovered for various applications, the wasted heat recovery concentrator PV/thermal(WHR CPVT) hybrid systems have been developed. They can provide both electricity and usable heat by combining thermal systems with concentrator PV(CPV) module, which dramatically improves the overall conversion efficiency of solar energy.This paper systematically and comprehensively reviews the research and development of WHR CPVT systems. WHR CPVT systems with innovative design configurations, different theoretical evaluation models and experimental test processes for several implementations are presented in an integrated manner. We aim to provide a global point of view on the research trends, market potential, technical obstacles, and the future work which is required in the development of WHR CPVT technology. It is of benefit to the pollutant control to make clear the transportation characteristics of vehicle exhausts. In this paper, the transportation characteristics of vehicle exhaust pollutants are investigated by means of the on-site measurement based on a typical Beijing expressway-Badaling expressway(G6 state expressway). The concentrations of CO, NO_x, SO_2 and particles near the expressway were obtained, by which the variations of the particle number and mass concentrations, as well as the gas pollutant volume concentrations in the vicinity of the roadways with the distance from the expressway were fitted.
