1Management of granulomatous lobular mastitis: an international multidisciplinary consensus(2021 edition)显示文摘Granulomatous lobular mastitis(GLM) is a rare and chronic benign inflammatory disease of the breast. Difficulties exist in the management of GLM for many front-line surgeons and medical specialists who care for patients with inflammatory disorders of the breast. This consensus is summarized to establish evidence-based recommendations for the management of GLM. Literature was reviewed using PubMed from January 1, 1971 to July 31, 2020. Sixty-six international experienced multidisciplinary experts from 11 countries or regions were invited to review the evidence.Levels of evidence were determined using the American College of Physicians grading system, and recommendations were discussed until consensus. Experts discussed and concluded 30 recommendations on historical definitions,etiology and predisposing factors, diagnosis criteria, treatment, clinical stages, relapse and recurrence of GLM. GLM was recommended as a widely accepted definition. In addition, this consensus introduced a new clinical stages and management algorithm for GLM to provide individual treatment strategies. In conclusion, diagnosis of GLM depends on a combination of history, clinical manifestations, imaging examinations, laboratory examinations and pathology.The approach to treatment of GLM should be applied according to the different clinical stage of GLM. 3Passive-source ocean bottom seismograph(OBS) array experiment in South China Sea and data quality analyses显示文摘Long-term passive source ocean bottom seismograph(OBS) observatory is challenging due to various technical difficulties. In order to gain experience in this field, and to reveal the lithospheric structure beneath the extinct ridge in the central South China Sea(SCS), we carried out a passive source OBS array experiment, which includes 18 OBSs, in the deep portion of SCS. Here we present the instrumentation, the OBS deployment and recovery of this experiment, and more importantly, the data quality evaluated by a number of approaches. Through processing and inspecting waveforms from global, regional and local earthquakes, we find that most of recovered OBSs have good data quality with discernible main phases. The ambient noise analyses of OBS recordings show that their noise is higher than the global average, and the horizontal component is noisier than the vertical, indicating current impacts on horizontal components are more severe. In the period range of 5–10 s, there is a noise notch for the SCS OBSs, and noise levels of horizontal components are comparable to the vertical. This feature, which is not seen at OBS stations in open ocean, suggests the distant sources for double frequency microseism in this marginal sea are not significant. In addition, we successfully determined the orientations for 7 OBSs by investigating their Rayleigh wave polarizations; and we demonstrated the dispersion feature of Rayleigh waves through the frequency-time analysis. 4IDENTIFICATION OF MYCOBACTERIUM MARINUM 65 KD HEAT SHOCK PROTEIN GENE BY POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION RESTRICTION ANALYSIS FROM LESIONS OF SWIMMING POOL GRANULOMA显示文摘Background Nontuberculous mycobacterium (NTM) had been reported to cause cutaneous infections which are difficult to interpret due to the variability of the clinical manifestations. Among NTM infections, Mycobacterium marinum (M. marinum) are mostly seen to cause skin infection. It is therefore important to establish a rapid approach for detection and identification of M. marinum from lesions of patients with suspected M. marinum infections. Methods Specimens were obtained from 5 patients with swimming pool granuloma. DNA was extracted and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was performed. PCR products were digested with Hae III and BstE II, then analysed by pattern restriction analysis to detect heat shock protein (hsp) 65 kD gene. Results The 65 kD hsp gene was found in all specimens from patients with swimming pool granuloma. PCR restriction analysis (PRA) identified all 5 samples to be M. marinum infections, and the result was consistent with that of routine bacteriological identification. The lesions subsided or markedly improved upon treatment. Conclusions PRA is a sensitive, specific and rapid method in identification of mycobacteria. 5Comprehensive analysis of NAC transcription factors and their expression during fruit spine development in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)显示文摘The cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)is an important vegetable crop worldwide,and fruit trichomes or spines are an important trait for external fruit quality.The mechanisms underlying spine formation are not well understood,but the plant-specific NAC family of transcription factors may play important roles in fruit spine initiation and development.In this study,we conducted a genome-wide survey and identified 91 NAC gene homologs in the cucumber genome.Clustering analysis classified these genes into six subfamilies;each contained a varying number of NAC family members with a similar intron–exon structure and conserved motifs.Quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed tissue-specific expression patterns of these genes,including 10 and 12 that exhibited preferential expression in the stem and fruit,respectively.Thirteen of the 91 NAC genes showed higher expression in the wild-type plant than in its near-isogenic trichome mutant,suggesting their important roles in fruit spine development.Exogenous application of four plant hormones promoted spine formation and increased spine density on the cucumber fruits;several NAC genes showed differential expression over time in response to phytohormone treatments on cucumber fruit,implying their essential roles in fruit-trichome development.Among the NAC genes identified,12 were found to be targets of 13 known cucumber micro-RNAs.Collectively,these findings provide a useful resource for further analysis of the interactions between NAC genes and genes underlying trichome organogenesis and development during fruit spine development in cucumber.Xingwang Liu Ting wang Ezra Bartholomew Kezia Black Mingming Dong Yaqi Zhang Sen Yang Yanling Cai Shudan Xue Yiqun Weng Huazhong Ren 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:10
6Comparative analysis of the complete chloroplast genome among Prunus mume,P.armeniaca,and P.salicina显示文摘Prunus mume Sieb.et Zucc.,P.armeniaca L.,and P.salicina L.are economically important fruit trees in temperate regions.These species are taxonomically perplexing because of shared interspecific morphological traits and variation,which are mainly attributed to hybridization.The chloroplast is cytoplasmically inherited and often used for evolutionary studies.We sequenced the complete chloroplast genomes of P.mume,P.armeniaca,and P.salicina using Illumina sequencing followed by de novo assembly.The three chloroplast genomes exhibit a typical quadripartite structure with conserved genome arrangement,structure,and moderate divergence.The lengths of the genomes are 157,815,157,797,and 157,916 bp,respectively.The length of the large single-copy region(LSC)region is 86,113,86,283,and 86,122 bp,and the length of the SSC region is 18,916,18,734,and 19,028 bp;the IR region is 26,393,26,390,and 26,383 bp,respectively.Each of the three chloroplast genomes encodes 133 genes,including 94 protein-coding,31 tRNA,and eight rRNA genes.Differential gene analysis for the three species revealed that trnY-ATA is a unique gene in P.armeniaca;in contrast,the gene trnI-TAT is only present in P.mume and P.salicina,though the position of the gene in these chloroplast genomes differs.Further comparative analysis of the complete chloroplast genome sequences revealed that the ORF genes and the sequences of linked regions rps16 and atpA,atpH and atpI,trnc-GCA and psbD,ycf3 and atpB,and rpL32 and ndhD are significantly different and may be used as molecular markers in taxonomic studies.Phylogenetic evolution analysis of the three species suggests that P.mume has a closer genetic relationship to P.armeniaca than to P.salicina.Song Xue Ting Shi Wenjie Luo Xiaopeng Ni Shahid Iqbal Zhaojun Ni Xiao Huang Dan Yao Zhijun Shen Zhihong Gao 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:10
7The INO80 chromatin remodeling complex promotes thermo-morphogenesis by connecting H2A.Z eviction and active transcription in Arabidopsis.显示文摘Global warming imposes a major threat to plant growth and crop production. In some plants including Arabidopsis thaliana, elevated temperatures induce a series of morphological and developmental adjustments, termed thermomorphogenesis to facilitate plant cooling under high-temperature conditions. Plant thermal response is suppressed by histone variant H2A.Z. At warm temperatures, H2A.Z is evicted from nucleosomes at thermo-responsive genes, resulting in their expression changes. However, the mechanisms that regulate H2A.Z eviction and subsequent transcription changes are largely unknown. Here, we show that the INO80 chromatin remodeling complex (INO80-C) promotes thermomorphogenesis and activates the expression of thermo-responsive and auxin-related genes. INO80-C associates with PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR 4 (PIF4), a potent regulator in thermomorphogenesis, and mediates temperature-induced H2A.Z eviction at PIF4 targets. Moreover, INO80-C directly interacts with COMPASS-like and transcription elongation factors to promote active histone modification Histone H3 lysine 4 trimethylation (H3K4me3) and RNA Polymerase II (RNA Pol II) elongation, leading to the thermal induction of transcription. Notably, transcription elongation factors SPT4 and SPT5 are required for the H2A.Z eviction at PIF4 targets, suggesting the cooperation of INO80-C and transcription elongation in H2A.Z removal. 8Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. 9Combined prednisone and levothyroxine improve treatment of severe thrombocytopenia in hepatitis B with compensatory cirrhosis accompanied by subclinical and overt hypothyroidism显示文摘The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between hypothyroidism and thrombocytopenia in hepatitis Brelated compensatory liver cirrhosis and to determine whether treatment with levothyroxine and prednisone is superior in a multicenter, open-label, observational study in China. In total, 125 consecutive hepatitis B-related compensated liver cirrhosis patients with severe thrombocytopenia accompanied by hypothyroidism were included. The patients were divided into four groups according to treatment strategy: a control group(n=29), a prednisone group(n=25), a levothyroxine group(n=32) and a prednisone plus levothyroxine group(n=39). Severe thrombocytopenia was more prevalent in hepatitis B-associated compensatory liver cirrhosis patients with hypothyroidism than in euthyroid patients(29.6% vs. 14.7%, P<0.05). Combination treatment with prednisone and levothyroxine decreased the risk of bleeding and improved platelet recovery compared to control treatment and treatment with either prednisone or levothyroxine alone. The platelet count before therapy, serum thyroid stimulating hormone and combination treatment with prednisone and levothyroxine were associated with bleeding events. Therefore, the present study suggests that hypothyroidism is associated with severe thrombocytopenia in hepatitis B-associated compensatory liver cirrhosis. 10Radar Target Recognition Algorithm Based on RCS Observation Sequence——Set-Valued Identification Method显示文摘This paper studies the problem of radar target recognition based on radar cross section(RCS)observation sequence.First,the authors compute the discrete wavelet transform of RCS observation sequence and extract a valid statistical feature vector containing five components.These five components represent five different features of the radar target.Second,the authors establish a set-valued model to represent the relation between the feature vector and the authenticity of the radar target.By set-valued identification method,the authors can estimate the system parameter,based on which the recognition criteria is given.In order to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed recognition method,extensive simulations are given finally assuming that the true target is a cone frustum and the RCS of the false target is normally distributed.The results show that the set-valued identification method has a higher recognition rate than the traditional fuzzy classification method and evidential reasoning method.WANG Ting BI Wenjian ZHAO Yanlong XUE Wenchao 2016Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2016,29,3:7
11Correlation Between Birth Defects and Dietary Nutrition Status in a High Incidence Area of China显示文摘Objective To investigate the association between birth defects and dietary nutrient intake in a high risk area of China. Methods A dietary survey was performed and serum folic acid was measured in women whose pregnancy was affected by neural tube defects (NTDs) or unaffected by any birth defects (BDs) in Zhongyang and Jiaokou Counties in Shanxi Province of China. Results The local average consumption of foods including dark green vegetables, fruits, fat and meat, and nutrient intake (e.g. energy, protein, retinol, riboflavin, vitamin E, and selenium) were lower than the national average level. In women of childbearing age, these regions, the intake of nutrients was much lower than the recommended nutrient intake (9%-77%). The case-control dietary nutrition study of women whose pregnancy was affected by BDs (including NTDs and congenital heart defects) demonstrated that, in early pregnancy, adequate nutrition (i.e. eating meat, fresh vegetables, fruit more than once a week) was a protective factor, while eating germinated potatoes was a risk factor. The geometrical mean (p5-p95) of serum folic acid in women with NTD birth defects was 9.6 nmol/L (3.6, 23.03), which was significantly lower than that in normal women (14.03 nmol/L). Conclusion Women of childbearing age in the two counties of Shanxi Province, China, have a marked insufficient intake of some nutrients, especially folic acid, zinc, vitamins A and B12. This nutrient deficiency may be an important risk factor for the high prevalence of birth defects in these regions. 13微囊藻毒素在银鲫肠道中的累积及其病理学影响显示文摘银鲫(Carassius auratus),杂食性鱼类,是我国淡水主养品种之一。在富营养化湖泊中,它能以有毒微囊藻为主要食物,导致微囊藻毒素(MCs)在其组织中大量累积。为研究MCs在肠道内累积和代谢特征及其对肠道的毒性影响,分别以50和200μg MC-LReq·kg-1剂量的MCs粗提液(主要含MC-RR和MC-LR)对银鲫进行腹腔注射,并在注射后1、3、12、24、48和168 h后取样。MCs的含量用LC-MS和HPLC进行定性和定量测定,结果发现,高低两剂量组银鲫肠中MCs的含量均在注射后1 h达最大值(分别为2.8和181.4 ng·g-1DW),然后随暴露时间的延长迅速下降。相对于毒素的累积,MCs诱导的银鲫肠组织损伤具滞后性,注射后48 h内,高低两剂量组肠道的病理变化呈时间-剂量依赖性的增长,病理特征表现为肠上皮细胞排列紊乱,甚至出现坏死、溶解和脱落,杯状细胞数目显著增多,微绒毛结构破坏并伴随淋巴细胞浸润。实验结果表明,单次染毒后MCs在鲫肠道中迅速累积后降解,并造成时间-剂量依赖性组织损伤,且低剂量组的损伤是可逆的。李莉 雷和花 侯杰 Xue Ting 龙萌 苏玉晶 吴宁 2014生态毒理学报2014,9,6:6

18Cardiac complications in systemic sclerosis:early diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Objective:Systemic sclerosis(SSc)is a remarkably systemic heterogeneous connective tissue disease with many organs involved.The heart is one of the major organs involved,carrying the threat of sudden cardiac death,especially in diffuse cutaneous SSc.This review summarizes the pathophysiology,types,new diagnostic approaches,and imaging and novel therapies of primary cardiac complications while underlining the effects of recently developed non-contrast cardiovascular magnetic resonance(CMR)in early diagnosis.Data sources:Medline and Embase were searched for articles published up to July 2019.A combination of Medical Subject Headings(MeSH)terms and keywords pertaining to SSc(“Scleroderma,Systemic”OR“Systemic sclerosis”OR“SSc”),AND cardiology(“cardiology”OR“heart”OR“cardiac”)were applied to the search strategies.Study selection:Literature was mainly printed in English and Chinese about cardiac complications in systemic sclerosis.After selected simply on the title and abstract,the articles were included for the full text.Article type was not limited.Results:Relevant cardiac manifestations are complex,including arrhythmias,pericardial effusion,myocardial dysfunction,and valvular diseases.Even though the symptoms of cardiac complications are well known,unfortunately,they appear to be poor prognostic factors.As systemic sclerosis with cardiac complications has a high mortality rate and patients might have a poor quality of life,it is essential to promote early diagnosis and treatment.With the advent of non-invasive imaging techniques,such as CMR,early diagnosis of cardiac complications in SSc is becoming more effective.Conclusions:Cardiac complications play an essential role in SSc and carry the threat of sudden cardiac death.More basic and clinical studies are warranted to develop better management of cardiac involvement in patients with SSc.Liu-Yan Nie Xiao-Dong Wang Ting Zhang Jing Xue 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,23:6
19Noble Gas Isotopic Compositions of Cobalt-rich Ferromanganese Crusts from the Western Pacific Ocean and Their Geological Implications显示文摘Noble gas isotopic compositions of various layers in three-layered (outer, porous and compact layers) cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts and their basaltic and phosphorite substrates from the western Pacific Ocean were analyzed by using a high vacuum gas mass spectrum. The analytical results show that the noble gases in the Co-rich crusts have derived mainly from the ambient seawater, extraterrestrial grains such as interplanetary dust particles (IDPs) and wind-borne continental dust grains, and locally formation water in the submarine sediments, but different noble gases have different sources. He in the crusts derives predominantly from the extraterrestrial grains, with a negligible amount of radiogenic He from the eolian dust grains. Ar is sourced mainly from the dissolved air in the seawater and insignificantly from radiogenic Ar in the eolian continental dust grains or the formation water. Xe and Ne derive mainly from the seawater, with minor amounts of extraterrestrial Xe and Ne in the IDPs. Compared with the porous and outer layers, the compact layer has a relatively high 4He content and lower 3He/4He ratios, suggesting that marine phosphatization might have greatly modified the noble gas isotopic compositions of the crusts. Besides, the 3He/4He values of the basaltic substrates of the cobalt-rich crusts are very low and their R/Ra ratios are mostly <0.1 Ra, which are similar to that of phosphorite substrates (0.087 Ra), but much lower than that of fresh submarine MORB (8.75±2.14 Ra) or seamount basalts (3-43 Ra), implying that the basaltic substrates have suffered strong water/rock interaction and reacted with radiogenic 4He and P-rich upwelling marine currents during phosphatization. The trace elements released in the basalt/seawater interaction might favor the growth of cobalt-rich crusts. 20Strategies for improving the lithium-storage performance of 2D nanomaterials显示文摘2D nanomaterials, including graphene, transition metal oxide(TMO) nanosheets, transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD) nanosheets, etc., have offered an appealing and unprecedented opportunity for the development of high-performance electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). Although significant progress has been made on 2D nanomaterials for LIB applications in the recent years, some major challenges still exist for the direct use of these sheet-like nanomaterials, such as their serious self-agglomerating tendency during electrode fabrication and low conductivity as well as the large volume changes over repeated charging–discharging cycles for most TMOs/TMDs, which have resulted in large irreversible capacity, low initial Coulombic efficiency and fast capacity fading. To address these issues,considerable progress has been made in the exploitation of 2D nanosheets for enhanced lithium storage. In this review, we intend to summarize the recent progress on the strategies for enhancing the lithium-storage performance of 2D nanomaterials, including hybridization with conductive materials, surface/edge functionalization and structural optimization.
