1Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China:A Nationwide Multi-center Population-based Study Among Children Aged 6 to 12 Years显示文摘This study aimed to obtain the first national estimate of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in Chinese children.We targeted the population of 6 to 12-year-old children for this prevalence study by multistage convenient cluster sampling.The Modified Chinese Autism Spectrum Rating Scale was used for the screening process.Of the target population of 142,086 children,88.5%(n=125,806) participated in the study.A total of 363 children were confirmed as having ASD.The observed ASD prevalence rate was 0.29%(95% CI:0.26%-0.32%) for the overall population.After adjustment for response rates,the estimated number of ASD cases was867 in the target population sample,thereby achieving an estimated prevalence of 0.70%(95% CI:0.64%-0.74%).The prevalence was significantly higher in boys than in girls(0.95%;95% CI:0.87%-1.02% versus 0.30%;95%CI:0.26%-0.34%;P <0.001).Of the 363 confirmed ASD cases,43.3% were newly diagnosed,and most of those(90.4%) were attending regular schools,and 68.8% of the children with ASD had at least one neuropsychiatric comorbidity.Our findings provide reliable data on the estimated ASD prevalence and comorbidities in Chinese children.Hao Zhou Xiu Xu Weili Yan Xiaobing Zou Lijie Wu Xuerong Luo Tingyu Li Yi Huang Hongyan Guan Xiang Chen Meng Mao Kun Xia Lan Zhang Erzhen Li Xiaoling Ge Lili Zhang Chunpei Li Xudong Zhang Yuanfeng Zhou Ding Ding Andy Shih Eric Fombonne Yi Zheng Jisheng Han Zhongsheng Sun Yong-hui Jiang Yi Wang LATENT-NHC Study Team 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9:158
2Anisotropic coding metamaterials and their powerful manipulation of differently polarized terahertz waves显示文摘Metamaterials based on effective media can be used to produce a number of unusual physical properties(for example,negative refraction and invisibility cloaking)because they can be tailored with effective medium parameters that do not occur in nature.Recently,the use of coding metamaterials has been suggested for the control of electromagnetic waves through the design of coding sequences using digital elements‘0’and‘1,'which possess opposite phase responses.Here we propose the concept of an anisotropic coding metamaterial in which the coding behaviors in different directions are dependent on the polarization status of the electromagnetic waves.We experimentally demonstrate an ultrathin and flexible polarization-controlled anisotropic coding metasurface that functions in the terahertz regime using specially designed coding elements.By encoding the elements with elaborately designed coding sequences(both 1-bit and 2-bit sequences),the x-and y-polarized waves can be anomalously reflected or independently diffused in three dimensions.The simulated far-field scattering patterns and near-field distributions are presented to illustrate the dual-functional performance of the encoded metasurface,and the results are consistent with the measured results.We further demonstrate the ability of the anisotropic coding metasurfaces to generate a beam splitter and realize simultaneous anomalous reflections and polarization conversions,thus providing powerful control of differently polarized electromagnetic waves.The proposed method enables versatile beam behaviors under orthogonal polarizations using a single metasurface and has the potential for use in the development of interesting terahertz devices.Shuo Liu Tie Jun Cui Quan Xu Di Bao Liangliang Du Xiang Wan Wen Xuan Tang Chunmei Ouyang Xiao Yang Zhou Hao Yuan Hui Feng Ma Wei Xiang Jiang Jiaguang Han Weili Zhang Qiang Cheng 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:36
3Autotrophic denitrification for nitrate and nitrite removal using sulfur-limestone显示文摘Sulfur-limestone was used in the autotrophic denitrification process to remove the nitrate and nitrite in a lab scale upflow biofilter.Synthetic water with four levels of nitrate and nitrite concentrations of 10,40,70 and 100 mg N/L was tested.When treating the low concentration of nitrate-or nitrite-contaminated water(10,40 mg N/L),a high removal rate of about 90% was achieved at the hydraulic retention time(HRT) of 3 hr and temperature of 20-25°C.At the same HRT,50% of the nitrate or nitrite could be removed even at the low temperature of 5-10°C.For the higher concentration nitrate and nitrite(70,100 mg N/L),longer HRT was required.The batch test indicated that influent concentration,HRT and temperature are important factors afiecting the denitrification eficiency.Molecular analysis implied that nitrate and nitrite were denitrified into nitrogen by the same microorganisms.The sequential two-step-reactions from nitrate to nitrite and from nitrite to the next-step product might have taken place in the same cell during the autotrophic denitrification process.Weili Zhou Yejue Sun Bingtao Wu Yue Zhang Min Huang Toshiaki Miyanaga Zhenjia Zhang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:34

5Corrosion Behavior of Mg-Zn-Y Alloy with Long-period Stacking Ordered Structures显示文摘Mg-Zn-Y alloys with long-period stacking ordered structures were prepared by an ingot casting method. The corrosion performance of Mg-Zn-Y alloys was studied by combining gas-collecting test, immersion test and electrochemical measurements in order to determine the corrosion rate and mechanism of the alloys. The results showed that the volume fraction of Mg(12)YZn phase increased and the shape of the Mg(12)YZn phase changed from discontinuous to continuous net-like with increasing Zn and Y content. The corrosion rate of the alloys greatly depended on the distribution and volume fraction of the Mg(12)YZn phase. Corrosion products appeared at the junction of Mg phase and Mg(12)YZn phase, indicating that the Mg(12)YZn phase accelerated galvanic corrosion of Mg matrix. 6Reflective chiral meta-holography: multiplexing holograms for circularly polarized waves显示文摘By allowing almost arbitrary distributions of amplitude and phase of electromagnetic waves to be generated by a layer of sub-wavelength-size unit cells,metasurfaces have given rise to the field of meta-holography.However,holography with circularly polarized waves remains complicated as the achiral building blocks of existing meta-holograms inevitably contribute to holographic images generated by both left-handed and right-handed waves.Here we demonstrate how planar chirality enables the fully independent realization of high-efficiency meta-holograms for one circular polarization or the other.Such circular-polarization-selective meta-holograms are based on chiral building blocks that reflect either left-handed or right-handed circularly polarized waves with an orientation-dependent phase.Using terahertz waves,we experimentally demonstrate that this allows the straightforward design of reflective phase meta-holograms,where the use of alternating structures of opposite handedness yields independent holographic images for circularly polarized waves of opposite handedness with negligible polarization cross-talk.Qiu Wang Eric Plum Quanlong Yang Xueqian Zhang Quan Xu Yuehong Xu Jiaguang Han Weili Zhang 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:15

8Wintertime peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN) in the megacity Beijing: Role of photochemical and meteorological processes显示文摘Previous measurements of peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN) in Asian megacities were scarce and mainly conducted for relative short periods in summer. Here, we present and analyze the measurements of PAN, O3, NOx, etc., made at an urban site(CMA) in Beijing from 25 January to 22 March 2010. The hourly concentration of PAN averaged 0.70 × 10 9mol/mol(0.23 × 10 9–3.51 × 10 9mol/mol) and was well correlated with that of NO2but not O3, indicating that the variations of the winter concentrations of PAN and O3in urban Beijing are decoupled with each other. Wind conditions and transport of air masses exert very significant impacts on O3, PAN, and other species. Air masses arriving at the site originated either from the boundary layer over the highly polluted N-S-W sector or from the free troposphere over the W-N sector. The descending free-tropospheric air was rich in O3, with an average PAN/O3ratio smaller than 0.031, while the boundary layer air over the polluted sector contained higher levels of PAN and primary pollutants, with an average PAN/O3ratio of 0.11. These facts related with transport conditions can well explain the observed PAN-O3decoupling. Photochemical production is important to PAN in the winter over Beijing. The concentration of the peroxyacetyl(PA) radical was estimated to be in the range of 0.0014 × 10 12–0.0042 × 10 12 mol/mol. 9Outcomes in refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma:results fromamulticenter real-world study in China显示文摘Background:Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients refractory to rituximab-based immunochemotherapy have a dismal prognosis.However,the definition of refractory DLBCL remains inconsistent and no large cohort study data is available from Asian countries.To validate the definition and outcomes of refractory DLBCL in China,we conducted a multicenter,retrospective cohort study.Methods:The REtrospective AnaLysis of Treatment REspoNse of refractory DLBCL(REAL-TREND)study was performed using real-world data from 8 centers in China.DLBCL patients with curative intent were included in the REAL-TREND dataset.Overall survival(OS)was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by the log-rank test.Due to heterogeneity in response rates among different centers,the response rates of refractory patients were pooled using random-effect models.Multivariate survival analysis was performed using the Cox regression model.Results:A total of 2778 DLBCL patients diagnosed between January,2010 and December,2015 were enrolled to this study.After validating previous definitions,the SCHOLAR-1 study was most suitable to define refractory DLBCL.The estimated 5-year cumulative incidence of refractory patients was 20%(95% confidence Interval[CI]=18%-22%).After the determination of refractory disease,overall response rate and complete remission rate were 30%(95%CI=22%-38%)and 9%(95%CI=4%-15%),respectively.Patients with either no response to immunochemotherapy or relapse within 12 months after stem-cell transplantation had inferior survival with a median OS of 5.9 months(95%CI=5.5-7.1 months)and 2-year OS rate of 16%(95%CI=12%-20%).International prognostic index score 4-5(hazard ratio[HR]=2.22;95%CI=1.47-3.35),central nervous systemrelapse(HR=1.43;95%CI=1.04-1.97),and best response status(HR=2.68;95%CI=1.42-5.03 for partial remission.HR=5.97,95%CI=3.21-11.11 for stable disease/progressive disease)were independent unfavorable prognostic factors.Conclusions:This is the first large-scale Asian cohort study focusing on outcomes of refractory DLBCL.The definition of the SCHOLAR-1 study identifies patients with homogenously inferior survival,thus is appropriate to select refractory DLBCL.Due to poor clinical outcomes in the rituximab era,patients with refractory DLBCL may be potential candidates for novel treatment modalities.Shuo Wang Li Wang Jianda Hu Wenbin Qian Xi Zhang Yu Hu Qi Zhu Bobin Chen Depei Wu Chung-Chou H.Chang Pengpeng Xu Xiaoyun Zheng Juying Wei Yao Liu Guohui Cui Yong Tang Yan Ma Haiwen Huang Hongmei Yi Weili Zhao 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,3:10

11Terahertz spoof surface-plasmon-polariton subwavelength waveguide显示文摘Surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs) with the features of subwavelength confinement and strong enhancements have sparked enormous interest. However, in the terahertz regime, due to the perfect conductivities of most metals, it is hard to realize the strong confinement of SPPs, even though the propagation loss could be sufficiently low. One main approach to circumvent this problem is to exploit spoof SPPs, which are expected to exhibit useful subwavelength confinement and relative low propagation loss at terahertz frequencies. Here we report the design,fabrication, and characterization of terahertz spoof SPP waveguides based on corrugated metal surfaces. The various waveguide components, including a straight waveguide, an S-bend waveguide, a Y-splitter, and a directional coupler, were experimentally demonstrated using scanning near-field terahertz microscopy. 14Modifying the Autism Spectrum Rating Scale(6–18 years)to a Chinese Context:An Exploratory Factor Analysis显示文摘The purpose of this study was to explore the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the autism spectrum rating scale(ASRS). We recruited 1,625community-based children and 211 autism spectrum disorder(ASD) cases from 4 sites, and the parents of all participants completed the Chinese version of the ASRS. A robust weighted least squares means and variance adjusted estimator was used for exploratory factor analysis. The3-factor structure included 59 items suitable for the current sample. The item reliability for the modi?ed Chinese version of the ASRS(MC-ASRS) was excellent. Moreover,with 60 as the cut-off point, receiver operating characteristic analysis showed that the MC-ASRS had excellent discriminate validity, comparable to that of the unmodi?ed Chinese version(UC-ASRS), with area under the curve values of 0.952(95% CI: 0.936–0.967) and 0.948(95% CI:0.930–0.965), respectively. Meanwhile, the con?rm factor analysis revealed that MC-ASRS had a better construct validity than UC-ASRS based on the above factor solution in another children sample. 17Degradation of 4-nitrophenol by electrocatalysis and advanced oxidation processes using Co3O4@C anode coupled with simultaneous CO2 reduction via SnO2/CC cathode显示文摘Herein,we prepa red novel three-dimensional(3D)gear-s haped Co3O4@C(Co3O4 modified by amorphous carbon)and sheet-like SnO2/CC(SnO2 grow on the carbon cloth)as anode and cathode to achieve efficient removal of 4-nitrophenol(4-NP)in the presence of peroxymonosulfate(PMS)and simultaneous electrocatalytic reduction of CO2,respectively.In this process,4-NP was mineralized into CO2 by the Co3O4@C,and the generated CO2 was reduced into HCOOH by the sheet-like SnO2/CC cathode.Compared with the pure Co0.5(Co3O4 was prepared using 0.5 g urea)with PMS(30 mg,0.5 g/L),the degradation efficiency of 4-NP(60 mL,10 mg/L)increased from 74.5%-85.1%in 60 min using the Co0.5 modified by amorphous carbon(Co0.5@C).Furthermore,when the voltage of 1.0 V was added in the anodic system of Co0.5@C with PMS(30 mg,0.5 g/L),the degradation efficiency of 4-NP increased from 85.1%-99.1%when Pt was used as cathode.In the experiments of 4-NP degradation coupled with simultaneous electrocatalytic CO2 reduction,the degradation efficiency of 4-NP was 99.0%in the anodic system of Co0.5@C with addition of PMS(30 mg,0.5 g/L),while the Faraday efficiency(FE)of HCOOH was 24.1%at voltage of-1.3 V using the SnO2/CC as cathode.The results showed that the anode of Co3O4 modified by amorphous carbon can markedly improve the degradation efficiency of 4-NP,while the cathode of SnO2/CC can greatly improve the FE and selectivity of CO2 reduction to HCOOH and the stability of cathode.Finally,the promotion mechanism was proposed to explain the degradation of organic pollutants and reduction of CO2 into HCOOH in the process of electrocatalysis coupled with advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)and simultaneous CO2 reduction.Meng Zhu Longshuai Zhang Shanshan Liu Dengke Wang Yuancheng Qin Ying Chen Weili Dai Yuehua Wang Qiuju Xing Jianping Zou 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:7
18Terahertz surface plasmonic waves: a review显示文摘Terahertz science and technology promise many cutting-edge applications.Terahertz surface plasmonic waves that propagate at metal–dielectric interfaces deliver a potentially effective way to realize integrated terahertz devices and systems.Previous concerns regarding terahertz surface plasmonic waves have been based on their highly delocalized feature.However,recent advances in plasmonics indicate that the confinement of terahertz surface plasmonic waves,as well as their propagating behaviors,can be engineered by designing the surface environments,shapes,structures,materials,etc.,enabling a unique and fascinating regime of plasmonic waves.Together with the essential spectral property of terahertz radiation,as well as the increasingly developed materials,microfabrication,and time-domain spectroscopy technologies,devices and systems based on terahertz surface plasmonic waves may pave the way toward highly integrated platforms for multifunctional operation,implementation,and processing of terahertz waves in both fundamental science and practical applications.We present a review on terahertz surface plasmonic waves on various types of supports in a sequence of properties,excitation and detection,and applications.The current research trend and outlook of possible research directions for terahertz surface plasmonic waves are also outlined.Xueqian Zhang Quan Xu Lingbo Xia Yanfeng Li Jianqiang Gu Zhen Tian Chunmei Ouyang Jiaguang Han Weili Zhang 2020Advanced Photonics2020,2,1:7
19Influence of Temperature and Salinity on Germination of Eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) Seeds显示文摘Seagrass restoration as part of ocean ecosystem protection has been launched for many years all over the world, but intensive research on this subject in China has just begun in recent years. Seed broadcasting has been widely accepted as the most potentially useful method for seagrass restoration over large areas. We examined the influence of key environmental factors on seed germination to help promote eelgrass bed restoration. Under anoxic conditions, the influence of temperature and salinity on the germination rate of eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) seeds was examined at different combinations of four temperatures (4, 9, 14, and 24℃) and nine salinities (5 to 45, increment of 5). The effect of significant interaction of temperature and salinity on germination rate was observed (ANOVA) (P<0.001). The highest germination rate (83.3 ± 3.5)% was reached in 8 weeks at 14℃ and salinity 5. Higher temperature significantly increased the germination rate at salinity 5 (P<0.001) during the whole observation period except for 24℃, while lower salinity significantly increased the germination rate at 14℃ (P<0.001). Although significant interaction was found between temperature and salinity (P<0.001), the influence of salinity was stronger than that of temperature for the germination of eelgrass seeds. 20Analysis of the Global Swell Distributions Using ECMWF Re-Analyses Wind Wave Data显示文摘The existence of three well-defined tongue-shaped zones of swell dominance,termed as 'swell pools',in the Pacific,the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans,was reported by Chen et al.(2002)using satellite data.In this paper,the ECMWF Re-analyses wind wave data,including wind speed,significant wave height,averaged wave period and direction,are applied to verify the existence of these swell pools.The swell indices calculated from wave height,wave age and correlation coefficient are used to identify swell events.The wave age swell index can be more appropriately related to physical processes compared to the other two swell indices.Based on the ECMWF data the swell pools in the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans are confirmed,but the expected swell pool in the Indian Ocean is not pronounced.The seasonal variations of global and hemispherical swell indices are investigated,and the argument that swells in the pools seemed to originate mostly from the winter hemisphere is supported by the seasonal variation of the averaged wave direction.The northward bending of the swell pools in the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans in summer is not revealed by the ECMWF data.The swell pool in the Indian Ocean and the summer northward bending of the swell pools in the Pacific and the Atlan-tic Oceans need to be further verified by other datasets.ZHANG Jie WANG Weili GUAN Changlong 2011Journal of Ocean University of China2011,10,4:6
