| 1 | Cidea controls lipid droplet fusion and lipid storage in brown and white adipose tissue显示文摘Excess lipid storage in adipose tissue results in the development of obesity and other metabolic disorders including diabetes,fatty liver and cardiovascular diseases.The lipid droplet(LD)is an important subcellular organelle responsible for lipid storage.We previously observed that Fsp27,a member of the CIDE family proteins,is localized to LD-contact sites and promotes atypical LD fusion and growth.Cidea,a close homolog of Fsp27,is expressed at high levels in brown adipose tissue.However,the exact role of Cidea in promoting LD fusion and lipid storage in adipose tissue remains unknown.Here,we expressed Cidea in Fsp27-knockdown adipocytes and observed that Cidea has similar activity to Fsp27 in promoting lipid storage and LD fusion and growth.Next,we generated Cidea and Fsp27 double-deficient mice and observed that these animals had drastically reduced adipose tissue mass and a strong lean phenotype.In addition,Cidea/Fsp27 double-deficient mice had improved insulin sensitivity and were intolerant to cold.Furthermore,we observed that the brown and white adipose tissues of Cidea/Fsp27double-deficient mice had significantly reduced lipid storage and contained smaller LDs compared to those of Cidea or Fsp27single deficient mice.Overall,these data reveal an important role of Cidea in controlling lipid droplet fusion,lipid storage in brown and white adipose tissue,and the development of obesity. | WU LiZhen ZHOU LinKang CHEN Cheng GONG JingYi XU Li YE Jing LI De LI Peng | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,1: | 11 |

| 3 | Coactive design of explainable agent-based task planning and deep reinforcement learning for human-UAVs teamwork显示文摘Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)are useful in dangerous and dynamic tasks such as search-and-rescue,forest surveillance,and anti-terrorist operations.These tasks can be solved better through the collaboration of multiple UAVs under human supervision.However,it is still difficult for human to monitor,understand,predict and control the behaviors of the UAVs due to the task complexity as well as the black-box machine learning and planning algorithms being used.In this paper,the coactive design method is adopted to analyze the cognitive capabilities required for the tasks and design the interdependencies among the heterogeneous teammates of UAVs or human for coherent collaboration.Then,an agent-based task planner is proposed to automatically decompose a complex task into a sequence of explainable subtasks under constrains of resources,execution time,social rules and costs.Besides,a deep reinforcement learning approach is designed for the UAVs to learn optimal policies of a flocking behavior and a path planner that are easy for the human operator to understand and control.Finally,a mixed-initiative action selection mechanism is used to evaluate the learned policies as well as the human’s decisions.Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. | Chang WANG Lizhen WU Chao YAN Zhichao WANG Han LONG Chao YU | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,11: | 8 |
| 4 | Jiaweisinisan facilitates neurogenesis in the hippocampus after stress damage显示文摘The traditional Chinese medicine Jiaweisinisan has antidepressant effects, and can inhibit hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal gland axis hyperactivity in stress-induced depression. In this study, rat hippocampal neural precursor cells were cultured in serum-free medium in vitro and a stress damage model was established with 120 μM corticosterone. Cells were treated with 10% (v/v) Jiaweisinisan drug-containing serum and the corticosterone antagonist RU38486. Results of the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-3,5-di-phenytetrazoliumromide assay showed that both Jiaweisinisan drug-containing serum and RU38486 promoted the proliferation of neural precursor cells after corticosterone exposure. Immunofluorescence detection showed that after Jiaweisinisan drug-containing serum and RU38486 treatment, the 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine/terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling ratio in hippocampal neural precursor cells significantly increased, and the apoptotic rates of glial cells reduced, and neuron-like cell differentiation from neural precursor cells significantly increased. | 5 | The Effect of Bioturbation Activity of the Ark Clam Scapharca subcrenata on the Fluxes of Nutrient Exchange at the Sediment–Water Interface显示文摘Filter-feeding shellfish are common benthos and significantly affect the biogeochemical cycle in the shallow coastal ecosystems.Ark clam Scapharca subcrenata is one of the widely cultured bivalve species in many coastal areas owing to its tremendous economic value.However,there is little information regarding the effects of the bioturbation of S.subcrenata on the fluxes of nutrient exchange in the sediment-water interface(SWI).In this regard,S.subcrenata was sampled during October 2016 to determine the effects of its bioturbation activity on the nutrient exchange flux of the SWI.The results showed that the biological activity of S.subcrenata could increase the diffusion depth and the rate of the nutrients exchange in the sediments.The bioturbation of S.subcrenata could allow the nutrients to permeate into the surface sediments at 6-10cm and increase the release rate of nutrients at the SWI.The releasing fluxes of DIN and PO43−-P in the culture area were found to be around three times higher than that in the non-cultured region.The culture of S.subcrenata has been proved to be an important contributor to nutrient exchange across the SWI in the farming area of Haizhou Bay.Nutrients exchange in the SWI contributes a part of 86%DIN,71%PO43−-P and 18%SiO32−-Si for the aquaculture farm. | ZHANG Shuo FANG Xin ZHANG Junbo YIN Fang ZHANG Hu WU Lizhen KITAZAWA Daisuke | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,1: | 4 |
| 6 | Peroxidase from foxtail millet bran exerts anticolorectal cancer activity via targeting cellsurface GRP78 to inactivate STAT3 pathway显示文摘Molecular targeted therapy has become an emerging promising strategy in cancer treatment,and screening the agents targeting at cancer cell specific targets is very desirable for cancer treatment.Our previous study firstly found that a secretory peroxidase of class III derived from foxtail millet bran(FMBP)exhibited excellent targeting anti-colorectal cancer(CRC)activity in vivo and in vitro,whereas its underlying target remains unclear.The highlight of present study focuses on the finding that cell surface glucose-regulated protein 78(cs GRP78)abnormally located on CRC is positively correlated with the anti-CRC effects of FMBP,indicating it serves as a potential target of FMBP against CRC.Further,we demonstrated that the combination of FMBP with the nucleotide binding domain(NBD)of cs GRP78interfered with the downstream activation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)in CRC cells,thus promoting the intracellular accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and cell grown inhibition.These phenomena were further confirmed in nude mice tumor model.Collectively,our study highlights cs GRP78 acts as an underlying target of FMBP against CRC,uncovering the clinical potential of FMBP as a targeted agent for CRC in the future. | Shuhua Shan Jinping Niu Ruopeng Yin Jiangying Shi Lizhen Zhang Caihong Wu Hanqing Li Zhuoyu Li | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3: | 2 |

| 12 | Efficient degradation of atrazine through in-situ anchoring NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanosheets on biochar to activate sulfite under neutral condition显示文摘Sulfite (S(IV)) is a promising substitute for sulfate radical-based advanced oxidation processes.Here,a composite of in-situ anchoring Ni Co_(2)O_(4)nanosheets on biochar (BC) was firstly employed as a heterogeneous activator for sulfite (Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite) to degrade atrazine (ATZ) in the neutral environment.The synergistic coupling of BC and Ni Co_(2)O_(4)endows the resulting composite excellent catalytic activity.82% of the degradation ratio of ATZ (1 mg/L) could be achieved within 10 min at initial concentrations of 0.6 g/L Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC,3.0 mmol/L sulfite in neutral environment.When further supplementing sulfite into the system at 20 min (considering the depletion of sulfite),outstanding degradation efficiency (100%) were achieved in the next 10 min without any other energy input by the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite system.The features of the prepared catalysts and the effects of some key parameters on ATZ degradation were systematically examined.A strong inner-sphere complexation (≡Co_(2)+/Ni^(2+)-SO_(3)^(2-)) was explored between sulfite and the metal sites on the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC surface.The redox cycle of the surface metal efficiently mediated sulfite activation and triggered the series radical chain reactions.The generated radicals,in particular the surface-bound radicals were involved in ATZ degradation.High performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technique was used to detect the degradation intermediates.Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to illustrate the possible degradation pathways of ATZ.Finally,an underlying mechanism for ATZ removal was proposed.The present study offered a low-cost and sustainable catalyst for sulfite activation to remove ATZ in an environmentally friendly manner from wastewater. | Lizhen Feng Yijin Yuan Xianqin He Mengsi Wu Lizhi Zhang Jingming Gong | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 1 |

| 15 | Candidate therapeutic agents in a newly established triple wild-typemucosalmelanoma cell line显示文摘Background:Mucosalmelanoma has characteristically distinct genetic features and typically poor prognosis.The lack of representativemucosal melanoma models,especially cell lines,has hindered translational research on this melanoma subtype.In this study,we aimed to establish and provide the biological properties,genomic features and the pharmacological profiles of a mucosal melanoma cell line that would contribute to the understanding and treatment optimization of molecularly-defined mucosal melanoma subtype.Methods:The sample was collected from a 67-year-old mucosal melanoma patient and processed into pieces for the establishment of cell line and patientderived xenograft(PDX)model.The proliferation and tumorigenic property of cancer cells from different passageswere evaluated,andwhole-genome sequencing(WGS)was performed on the original tumor,PDX,established cell line,and the matched blood to confirm the establishment and define the genomic features of this cell line.AmpliconArchitect was conducted to depict the architecture of amplified regions detected by WGS.High-throughput drug screening(HTDS)assay including a total of 103 therapeutic agents was implemented on the established cell line,and selected candidate agents were validated in the corresponding PDX model.Results:A mucosal melanoma cell line,MM9H-1,was established which exhibited robust proliferation and tumorigenicity after more than 100 serial passages.Genomic analysis of MM9H-1,corresponding PDX,and the original tumor showed genetic fidelity across genomes,and MM9H-1 was defined as a triple wild-type(TWT)melanoma subtype lacking well-characterized“driver mutations”.Instead,the amplification of several oncogenes,telomerase reverse transcriptase(TERT),v-Rafmurine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1(BRAF),melanocyte Inducing transcription factor(MITF)and INO80 complex ATPase subunit(INO80),via large-scale genomic rearrangement potentially contributed to oncogenesis of MM9H-1.Moreover,HTDS identified proteasome inhibitors,especially bortezomib,as promising therapeutic candidates for MM9H-1,which was verified in the corresponding PDX model in vivo.Conclusions:We established and characterized a new mucosal melanoma cell line,MM9H-1,and defined this cell line as a TWT melanoma subtype lacking well-characterized“driver mutations”.The MM9H-1 cell line could be adopted as a unique model for the preclinical investigation of mucosal melanoma. | Chaoji Shi Ziyue Gu Shengming Xu Houyu Ju Yunteng Wu Yong Han Jiayi Li Chuwen Li Jing Wu Lizhen Wang Jiang Li Guoyu Zhou Weimin Ye Guoxin Ren Zhiyuan Zhang Rong Zhou | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022,42,7: | 1 |

| 17 | MyD88 exacerbates immunological pathology in experimental viral fulminant hepatitis显示文摘Objective To explore the role of MyD88 signaling in MHV-3 virus-mediated fulminant hepatitis. Methods We evaluated liver lesion status, the expression of multiple pro-inflammatory cytokines and HMGB1, the recruitment of inflammatory ILC3, and mortality in MyD88-/-and WT mice. Results The expression of multiple pro-inflammatory cytokines that recruit inflammatory ILC3 to the liver was severely impaired in MyD88-/-mice resulting in reduced liver pathology, viral replication, and mortality post-infection. Additionally, MHV-3 markedly increased the expression of high-mobility group box 1(HMGB1) in infected hepatocytes/macrophages and induced HMGB1 protein migration from the nucleus to the extracellular milieu, where it activates MyD88-dependent inflammation. | 19 | Effects of fruit bagging on the physiochemical changes of grapefruit(Citrus paradisi)显示文摘Fruit bagging is a commonly used cultivation measure to protect citrus fruit from insects and adverse environments.The present study aimed to comprehensively investigate the effects of bagging on the physiochemical characteristics of grapefruit.The grapefruit were bagged at approximately 110–120 d after anthesis with a one-layer kraft paper bag with black coating inside(SL),a double-layer kraft paper bag with one black paper as the inner layer(DL),and a three-layer kraft paper bag with two black papers as inner layers(TL),respectively.Ultra performance liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry(UPLC-HRMS)technique was used to identify a total of 19 flavonoids,2 phenylpropanoids,9 coumarins,and 5 limonoids.By using UPLC,50 carotenoids were identified.Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry was used to identify 3 soluble sugars,3 organic acids,and 11 amino acids.In the quantitated components in the peel(albedo and flavedo),the chlorophylls and the carotenoids components(such as luteoxanthin,violaxanthin,9-cis-violaxanthin,xanthophyll,zeaxanthin andβ-carotene)were significantly downregulated by bagging,causing the surface color of bagged fruit to turn yellow earlier but paler than that of the unbagged control,particularly in the three-layer kraft bag treatment.Unlike the peel,the color and the carotenoid content of the juice sacs were less affected.The physiochem-ical compounds other than pigments,including soluble sugars,organic acids,amino acids,flavonoids,coumarins and limonoids,were minimally affected by bagging treatments.Our results indicated that bagging at approximately 110–120 d after anthesis exerted influence mainly on peel color,but less on sugars,acids,amino acids,flavonoids,limonoids and coumarins of grapefruit. | Anze Jiang Lizhen Zheng Dengliang Wang Chen Kang Jue Wu Peilin Fang Jinping Cao Chongde Sun | 2022 | Food Quality and Safety2022,6,4: | 0 |
| 20 | Chinese Fetal Growth:A Multicenter Cohort Study Based on Fetal Ultrasound Measurements显示文摘Objective:To build a reference fetal growth chart for the Chinese population based on fetal ultrasound measurements.Methods:This was a multicenter,population-based retrospective cohort study.Longitudinal ultrasound measurement data were collected from 24 hospitals in 18 provinces of China from 1st September through 31st October of 2019.The estimated fetal weight(EFW)was calculated based on head circumference,abdominal circumference,and femur length using Hadlock formula 3.Fetal growth curves were estimated using a two-level linear regression model with cubic splines.All participants were divided into two groups:the northern group(n=5829)and the southern group(n=3246)based on the geographical division of China and male fetus group(n=4775)and female fetus group(n=4300)based on fetal gender.The EFW was compared by fetal gender and geographical group.All statistical models were adjusted for maternal sociodemographic characteristics.Results:A total of 9075 participants with 31,700 ultrasound measurement records were included in this study.Male fetuses demonstrated significantly larger EFW compared to female ones starting at 16 weeks of gestation and extending to delivery(global testP<0.01).The overall geographic difference in EFW was significant(global testP=0.03),and week-specific comparisons showed that the northern group had a greater EFW starting at 15 weeks of gestation and extending to 29 weeks of gestation,although this difference did not extend to the time of delivery.TheZ-score of EFW confirmed that our Chinese fetal growth charts differed from previously published standards.Conclusion:This study provides EFW and ultrasound biometric reference measurements for Chinese fetuses and reveals differences from other fetal growth charts.The chart is worth promoting in more regions of China but should be tested prudently before use. | Xiaoli Gong Tianchen Wu Xiaoli Wang Lizhen Zhang Yiping You Hongwei Wei Xifang Zuo Ying Zhou Xinli Xing Zhaoyan Meng Qi Lyu Zhaodong Liu Jian Zhang Liyan Hu Junnan Li Li Li Chulin Chen Chunyan Liu Guoqiang Sun Aiju Liu Jingsi Chen Yuan Lyu Yuan Wei Yangyu Zhao | 2023 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2023,5,1: | 0 |
