1Failure laws of narrow pillar and asymmetric control technique of gob-side entry driving in island coal face显示文摘In allusion to the problems of complex stress distribution in the surrounding rock and deformation failure laws, as well as the difficulty in roadway supporting of the gob-side entry driving in the island coal face, 2107 face in Chengjiao Colliery is researched as an engineering case. Through physical mechanical test of rock, theoretical and numerical simulation analyses of rock, the analysis model of the roadway overlying strata structure was established, and its parameters quantified. To reveal the deformation law of the surrounding rock, the stability of the overlying strata structure was studied before, during and after the roadway driving. According to the field conditions, the stress distribution in coal pillar was quantified, and the surrounding rock deformation feature studied with different widths of the pillars in gob-side entry driving. Finally, the pillar width of 4 m was considered as the most reasonable. The research results show that there is great difference in support conditions among roadway roof, entity coal side and narrow pillar side. Besides, the asymmetric control technique for support of the surrounding rock was proposed. 2Potassium-induced bifurcations and chaos of firing patterns observed from biological experiment on a neural pacemaker显示文摘Changes of neural firing patterns and transitions between firing patterns induced by the introduction of external stimulation or adjustment of biological parameter have been demonstrated to play key roles in information coding.In this paper,bifurcation processes of bursting patterns were observed from an experimental neural pacemaker,through the adjustment of potassium parameter including ion concentration and calcium-dependent channel conductance.The adjustment of calcium-dependent potassium channel conductance was achieved by changing the extracellular tetraethylammonium concentration.The deterministic dynamics of chaotic bursting patterns induced by period-doubling bifurcation and intermittency,and lying between two periodic bursting patterns in a period-adding bifurcation process was investigated with a nonlinear prediction method.The bifurcations included period-doubling and period-adding bifurcations of bursting patterns.The experimental bifurcations and chaos closely matched those previously simulated in the theoretical neuronal model by adjusting potassium parameter,which demonstrated the simulation results of the theoretical model.The experimental results indicate that the potassium concentration and conductance of calcium-dependent potassium channel can induce bifurcations of the neural firing patterns.The potential role of these bifurcation structures in neural information coding mechanism is discussed.GU HuaGuang CHEN ShengGen 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,5:11
3Analytical solutions of hard roof's bending moment,deflection and energy under the front abutment pressure before periodic weighting显示文摘The distribution of front abutment pressure is closely related to the force,deformation and energy distribution of hard roof before periodic weighting. So it is necessary to carry out research on the relationship between them. According to front abutment pressure distribution feature,using the location of peak front abutment pressure as the dividing point,coal seam is divided into two parts along the direction of mining: the yield zone that is the area between the faceline and the point where the maximum front abutment pressure occurs,and the elastic zone that is the part before the point of peak front abutment pressure. The proposed mechanical model of unit width hard roof at the panel center before periodic weighting consists of five parts including the yield zone. All parameters of the deflection equations for each of the five parts that satisfy the continuity conditions and natural boundary conditions are obtained by using the Matlab software. 4Feeding More People on an Increasingly Fragile Planet: China's Food and Nutrition Security in a National and Global Context显示文摘Developing and developed countries alike are increasingly facing the diffi cult question of how to feed more people amidst a host of emerging demographic, environmental, and health challenges. At the same time, in addition to food quantity, increased attention is being given to food quality attributes, in particular nutrition and safety. This is especially evident in China, where concerns are on the rise regarding the ability of China's food production systems to deliver nutritious and safe food to a growing, urbanizing and more affl uent population. These food and nutrition concerns come at a time when China is an increasingly infl uential actor within the global food security network through activities such as production, consumption and trade. We argue that China has the opportunity to increase food and nutrition security both nationally and globally through a comprehensive policy agenda that focuses on institutional reforms, investments for and in agriculture, productive social safety nets, mutually benefi cial trade, and the exchange of know-how and technologies among developing countries and donors. 6Study on first caving fracture mechanism of overlying roof rock in steep thick coal seam显示文摘Based on the elastic plate theory, a mechanical model of thin plate for the first caving of overlying roof rock in steep mining face was established. The analytical solution of the deflection and stress distribution of roof rocks was obtained. According to the specific geological conditions of the 5-103 panel in Shanxi,the failure of roof rocks and the influence of seam dip on it during the exploitation were theoretically investigated. Meanwhile, the first caving characteristics of the overlying rock in the steep coal seam were investigated based on its stress contour. The results show that the dip angle has a distinct influence on the caving interval and the first caving interval for the 5-103 panel is 37 m in theory. Finally, a systematic monitoring on the behavior of rock pressures was conducted. 7Changing Chinese Diets to Achieve a Win-Win Solution for Health and the Environment显示文摘Diets are key determinants of nutrition and health and play a significant role in the environment.In this article,we aim to(i)describe dietary transitions and health in China and the consequent environmental challenges;(ii)identify differences between current Chinese diets and healthy reference diets;(iii)conduct a systematic review assessing the health impacts of four reference diets on the Chinese population,and(iv)simulate changes in greenhouse gas emissions under different diet scenarios.The results show differences between the Chinese diets and reference diets,with the current Chinese diet including mainly grains(especially refined rice),excessive meat consumption,and insufficient consumption of fruit and milk.If all Chinese consumers adopt one of the healthy reference diets all the time,the incidence of diet-related chronic disease and mortality would be significantly reduced.Such dietary shifts would also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 146-202 million tons(18-25 percent)compared with the projected emissions level in 2030.Fangfang Sheng Jingjing Wang Kevin Z.Chen Shenggen Fan Haixiu Gao 2021China & World Economy2021,29,6:2

17Adaptive Delay Optimization of Multicast-Enabled Coded Caching in Device-to-Device Networks显示文摘This letter investigates a delay optimization problem in device-to-device(D2D)networks where users have pre-downloaded subfiles following a coded caching rule.Due to acquiring rest subfiles,users may suffer both receiving and transmitting delays.To achieve the delay minimization,we first propose a delay-aware mode-selection strategy to adaptively choose multicast or D2D communications mode to reduce the receiving-caused delay.By matching these transmit modes with distinct subfile sizes,we further formulate a min-max optimization problem to minimize the delivery delay.Finally,numerical results prove that the proposed scheme outperforms existing ones in terms of both receiving and transmitting delays.Liang Zhong Xueqian Zheng Jie Lin Yang Cao Shenggen Ju 2020China Communications2020,17,1:1
