1The crucial roles of Th17-related cytokines/signal pathways in M. tuberculosis infection显示文摘Interleukin-17(IL-17),IL-21,IL-22 and IL-23 can be grouped as T helper 17(Th17)-related cytokines because they are either produced by Th17/Th22 cells or involved in their development.Here,we review Th17-related cytokines/Th17-like cells,networks/signals and their roles in immune responses or immunity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb)infection.Published studies suggest that Th17-related cytokine pathways may be manipulated by Mtb microorganisms for their survival benefits in primary tuberculosis(TB).In addition,there is evidence that immune responses of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)signal pathway and Th17-like T-cell subsets are dysregulated or destroyed in patients with TB.Furthermore,Mtb infection can impact upstream cytokines in the STAT3 pathway of Th17-like responses.Based on these findings,we discuss the need for future studies and the rationale for targeting Th17-related cytokines/signals as a potential adjunctive treatment.Hongbo Shen Zheng W Chen 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,3:13
2利用洋底地震资料估算进入马里亚纳俯冲带的水通量显示文摘俯冲带水迁移是地表水进入地球深部的主要方式。但是,通过板块俯冲到底能够带入深部地幔多少水受到多种因素影响,包括俯冲带板片年龄、俯冲带几何性质、俯冲带热结构、板块汇聚速率等。目前关于俯;中带的水循环仍知之甚少。最近,华盛顿大学地球与行星科学系的Cai C博士等人收集和分析了马里亚纳海沟中心周围宽频洋底瑞利面波地震数据,估算了通过板块俯冲输入地球深部的水通量。他们的研究结果表明:板块俯冲带入深部地幔的水通量是以前估算的4.3倍,而且远大于目前对地幔输出水通量的估计。由于大量的长期净水流入地球深处与地质记录中的海平面稳定性不一致;同时也没有迹象表明马里亚纳俯冲带的板块弯曲区在形态和断裂强度与其它古俯冲带的对应区域对比有很大的不同。Cai C Wiens D A Shen W Eimer M 张宝华 2018矿物岩石地球化学通报2018,37,6:13
3Magnetic response to atmospheric heavy metal pollution recorded by dust-loaded leaves in Shougang industrial area, western Beijing显示文摘Fifty-five evergreen tree's leaves growing less than one year were collected from Shougang industrial area in western suburb of Beijing, including steel plants and its ambient residential areas, recreational parks and farmlands. Rock magnetic properties and heavy metal contents were studied. The results show that the magnetic properties of leaf samples are predominated by low-coercivity magnetite, and both the concentration and grain size of magnetite particles gradually decreased with the distance from the main pollution source increases. Moreover, there is a significant linear relationship between magnetic parameters (the low-field magnetic susceptibility, saturation isothermal remanent magnetization and anhysteretic remanent magnetization) and heavy metals contents (Fe, Pb, V, Cr and Zn) (0.73≤R≤ 0.88). 6Common non-synonymous polymorphisms in the BRCA1 Associated RING Domain (BARD1) gene are associated with breast cancer susceptibility:a case-control analysis显示文摘The BRCA1 Associated RING Domain(BARD1) gene has been identified as a high penetrance gene for breast cancer, whose germline and somatic mutations were reported in both non-BRCA1/2 hereditary site-specific and sporadic breast cancer cases. BARD1 plays a crucial role in tumor repression, along with its heterodimeric partner BRCA1. In the current study, we tested the hypothesis that common non-synonymous polymorphisms in BARD1 are associated with breast cancer susceptibility in a case-control study of 507 patients with incident breast cancer and 539 frequency-matched cancer-free controls in Chinese women. We genotyped all three common(minor allele frequency (MAF) > 0.10) non-synonymous polymorphisms(Pro24Ser, Arg378Ser, and Val507Met) in BARD1. We found that the BARD1 Pro24Ser variant genotypes(24Pro/Ser and 24Ser/Ser) and Arg378Ser variant homozygote 378Ser/Ser were associated with a significantly decreased breast cancer risk, compared with their wild-type homozygotes, respectively. Furthermore, a significant locus-locus interaction was evident between Pro24Ser and Arg378Ser (P-int = 0.032). Among the 378Ser variant allele carriers, the 24Pro/Pro wild-type homozygote was associated with a significantly increased breast cancer risk (adjusted OR = 1.81, 95% CI = 1.11-2.95), but the subjects having 24Pro/Ser or Ser/Ser variant genotypes had a significantly decreased risk(adjusted OR = 0.74, 95% CI = 0.56-0.99). In stratified analysis, this locus-locus interaction was more evident among subjects without family cancer history, those with positive estrogen receptor (ER) and individuals with negative progesterone receptor(PR). These findings indicate that the potentially functional polymorphisms Pro24Ser and Arg378Ser in BARD1 may jointly contribute to the susceptibility of breast cancer.Huo, X Hu, Z. B Zhai, X. 10UV/TiO_2 and UV/TiO_2-film for Degradation of Textile Dyes显示文摘This research focused on the feasibility and treatment efficiency of Advance Oxidation Process(AOP)-UV/TiO2 for three different kinds of simulated dye wastewater(FBL,FBB and S-RL).The first part of this study investigated the treatment of simulated dye wastewater with UV/TiO2 by changing TiO2 dosages,TiO2 particle sizes and dye concentrations.The efficiency was measured by color removal and TOC removal.The optimum conditions obtained for treatment of different dye wastewater were different.The treatment of Indanthrene red(FBB) by UV/TiO2 was the best,with 99.68% of TOC removal percentage and nearly 100% of color removal while treatment of FBL with 96.11% of TOC removal and almost 100% of color removal.The removal efficiency was lowest for S-RL dye solution with 81.88% of TOC and 95.87% for color removal.Both Langmuir adsorption isotherm and modified Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic model(modified L-H model) were fitted to the experimental data and were able to correlate the adsorption patterns and the kinetics of the dyes studied.Since the photocatalysts(TiO2) used were nano-sized powder and is difficult to separate from the wastewater,the second part of this research focuses on the preparation of TiO2-film on glass-substrate and the treatment of simulated FBL dye wastewater by UV/TiO2-film oxidation then followed.The experimental results showed the TiO2-films are suitable only for the dye wastewater treatment in low concentration.Ruth Yu-li Yeh Shen P W Liu Robert Hung Yung-tse 2007武汉理工大学学报2007,29,10:2
