1Linking atmospheric pollution to cryospheric change in the Third Pole region: current progress and future prospects显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau and its surroundings are known as the Third Pole(TP). This region is noted for its high rates of glacier melt and the associated hydrological shifts that affect water supplies in Asia. Atmospheric pollutants contribute to climatic and cryospheric changes through their effects on solar radiation and the albedos of snow and ice surfaces; moreover, the behavior and fates within the cryosphere and environmental impacts of environmental pollutants are topics of increasing concern. In this review, we introduce a coordinated monitoring and research framework and network to link atmospheric pollution and cryospheric changes(APCC) within the TP region. We then provide an up-to-date summary of progress and achievements related to the APCC research framework, including aspects of atmospheric pollution’s composition and concentration, spatial and temporal variations, trans-boundary transport pathways and mechanisms, and effects on the warming of atmosphere and changing in Indian monsoon, as well as melting of glacier and snow cover. We highlight that exogenous air pollutants can enter into the TP’s environments and cause great impacts on regional climatic and environmental changes. At last, we propose future research priorities and map out an extended program at the global scale. 2The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) mission: An overview显示文摘The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE), dubbed “Xihe”—Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration(CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS)is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 ? and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 ? with 0.024 ? pixel spectral resolution and 1 min temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 ? with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 ?. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. 4Autonomous navigation method and technology implementation of high-precision solar spectral velocity measurement显示文摘The velocity information of spacecraft can be directly obtained by the autonomous navigation method based on astronomical spectral velocity measurement. It provides complete direct velocity measurement information for the traditional navigation methods represented by astronomical angle measurement and astronomical ranging, which is of great significance for spacecraft high precision autonomous navigation. This paper comprehensively introduces the principle and navigation method of astronomical spectral velocity measurement, as well as the technical realization of the solar atomic frequency discriminator for autonomous navigation(SAFDAN) based on atomic frequency discrimination velocity measurement. The new SAFDAN is the first instrument to measure the Doppler velocity of spacecraft relative to the Sun. 596-Week Treatment of Tenofovir Amibufenamide and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate in Chronic Hepatitis B Patients显示文摘Background and Aims:Tenofovir amibufenamide(TMF)is a novel phosphoramidated prodrug of tenofovir with nonin-ferior efficacy and better bone and renal safety to tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF)in 48 weeks of treatment.Here,we update 96-week comparison results.Methods:Patients with chronic hepatitis B were assigned(2:1)to receive either 25 mg TMF or 300 mg TDF with matching placebo for 96 weeks.The virological suppression was defined as HBV DNA levels<20 IU/mL at week 96.Safety was evaluated thoroughly with focusing on bone,renal,and metabolic pa-rameters.Results:Virological suppression rates at week 96 were similar between TMF and TDF group in both HBeAg-positive and HBeAg-negative populations.Noninferior efficacy was maintained in the pooled population,while it was first achieved in patients with HBV DNA≥7 or 8 log10 IU/mL at baseline.Non-indexed estimated glomerular filtration rate for renal safety assessment was adopted,while a smaller decline of which was seen in the TMF group than in the TDF group(p=0.01).For bone mineral density,patients receiv-ing TMF displayed significantly lower reduction levels in the densities of spine,hip,and femur neck at week 96 than those receiving TDF.In addition,the lipid parameters were stable after week 48 in all groups while weight change still showed the opposite trend.Conclusions:TMF maintained similar efficacy at week 96 compared with TDF with continued superior bone and renal safety profiles(NCT03903796).Zhihong Liu Qinglong Jin Yuexin Zhang Guozhong Gong Guicheng Wu Lvfeng Yao Xiaofeng Wen Zhiliang Gao Yan Huang Daokun Yang Enqiang Chen Qing Mao Shide Lin Jia Shang Huanyu Gong Lihua Zhong Huafa Yin Fengmei Wang Peng Hu Qiong Wu Chao Pan Wen Jia Chuan Li Chang’an Sun Junqi Niu Jinlin Hou TMF Study Group 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,3:3
6Arctic multiyear sea ice variability observed from satellites:a review显示文摘In comparison with seasonal sea ice(first-year ice,FY ice),multiyear(MY)sea ice is thicker and has more opportunity to survive through the summer melting seasons.Therefore,the variability of wintertime MY ice plays a vital role in modulating the variations in the Arctic sea ice minimum extent during the following summer.As a response,the ice-ocean-atmosphere interactions may be significantly affected by the variations in the MY ice cover.Satellite observations are characterized by their capability to capture the spatiotemporal changes of Arctic sea ice.During the recent decades,many active and passive sensors onboard a variety of satellites(QuikSCAT,ASCAT,SSMIS,ICESat,CryoSat-2,etc.)have been used to monitor the dramatic loss of Arctic MY ice.The main objective of this study is to outline the advances and remaining challenges in monitoring the MY ice changes through the utilization of multiple satellite observations.We summarize the primary satellite data sources that are used to identify MY ice.The methodology to classify MY ice and derive MY ice concentration is reviewed.The interannual variability and trends in the MY ice time series in terms of coverage,thickness,volume,and age composition are evaluated.The potential causes associated with the observed Arctic MY ice loss are outlined,which are primarily related to the export and melting mechanisms.In addition,the causes to the MY ice depletion from the perspective of the oceanic water inflow from Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and the water vapor intrusion,as well as the roles of synoptic weather,are analyzed.The remaining challenges and possible upcoming research subjects in detecting the rapidly changing Arctic MY ice using the combined application of multisource remote sensing techniques are discussed.Moreover,some suggestions for the future application of satellite observations on the investigations of MY ice cover changes are proposed.BI Haibo LIANG Yu WANG Yunhe LIANG Xi ZHANG Zehua DU Tingqin YU Qinglong HUANG Jue KONG Mei HUANG Haijun 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4:2

14Ambient Temperature and Years of Life Lost:A National Study in China显示文摘Although numerous studies have investigated premature deaths attributable to temperature,effects of temperature on years of life lost(YLL)remain unclear.We estimated the relationship between temperatures and YLL,and quantified the YLL per death caused by temperature in China.We collected daily meteorological and mortality data,and calculated the daily YLL values for 364 locations(2013–2017 in Yunnan,Guangdong,Hunan,Zhejiang,and Jilin provinces,and 2006–2011 in other locations)in China.A time-series design with a distributed lag nonlinear model was first employed to estimate the location-specific associations between temperature and YLL rates(YLL/100,000 population),and a multivariate meta-analysis model was used to pool location-specific associations.Then,YLL per death caused by temperatures was calculated.The temperature and YLL rates consistently showed U-shaped associations.A mean of 1.02(95%confidence interval:0.67,1.37)YLL per death was attributable to temperature.Cold temperature caused 0.98 YLL per death with most from moderate cold(0.84).The mean YLL per death was higher in those with cardiovascular diseases(1.14),males(1.15),younger age categories(1.31 in people aged 65–74 years),and in central China(1.34)than in those with respiratory diseases(0.47),females(0.87),older people(0.85 in people R75 years old),and northern China(0.64)or southern China(1.19).The mortality burden was modified by annual temperature and temperature variability,relative humidity,latitude,longitude,altitude,education attainment,and central heating use.Temperatures caused substantial YLL per death in China,which was modified by demographic and regional characteristics.Tao Liu Chunliang Zhou Haoming Zhang Biao Huang Yanjun Xu Lifeng Lin Lijun Wang Ruying Hu Zhulin Hou Yize Xiao Junhua Li Xiaojun Xu Donghui Jin Mingfang Qin Qinglong Zhao Weiwei Gong Peng Yin Yiqing Xu Jianxiong Hu Jianpeng Xiao Weilin Zeng Xing Li Siqi Chen Lingchuan Guo Zuhua Rong Yonghui Zhang Cunrui Huang Yaodong Du Yuming Guo Shannon Rutherford Min Yu Maigeng Zhou Wenjun Ma 2021The Innovation2021,2,1:1

17Spatiotemporal characteristics of sea ice transport in the Baffin Bay and its association with atmospheric variability显示文摘Sea ice export through the Baffin Bay plays a vital role in modulating the sea ice cover variability in the Labrador Sea.In this study,satellite-derived sea ice products are used to obtain the sea ice area flux(SIAF)through the three passages in the Baffin Bay(referred to as A,B,and C for the north,middle,and south passages,respectively).The spatial variability of the monthly sea ice drift in the Baffin Bay is presented.The interannual variability and trends in SIAF via the three passages are outlined.The connection to several large-scale atmospheric circulation modes is assessed.Over the period of 1988-2015,the average annual(October to the following September)SIAF amounts to 555×10^(3) km^(2),642×10^(3) km^(2),and 551×10^(3) km^(2) through Passages A,B,and C,respectively.These quantities are less than that observed through the Fram Strait(FS,707×10^(3) km^(2))of the corresponding period.The positive trends in annual SIAF,on the order of 53.1×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a)and 43.2×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a)(significant at the 95%confidence level),are identified at Passages A and B,respectively.The trend of the south passage(C),however,is slightly negative(-13.3×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a),not statistically significant).The positive trends in annual SIAF through the Passages A and B are primarily attributable to the significant increases after 2000.The connection between the Baffin Bay sea ice export and the North Atlantic Oscillation is not significant over the studied period.By contrast,the association with the cross-gate sea level pressure difference is robust in the Baffin Bay(R equals 0.69 to 0.71,depending on the passages considered),but relatively weaker than that over FS(R=0.74).Weifu Sun Haibo Bi Min Fu Xi Liang Yunhe Wang Yu Liang Jue Huang Haijun Huang Liwen Yan Qinglong Yu Shuang Liang 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,3:0
18MdVQ37 overexpression reduces basal thermotolerance in transgenic apple by affecting transcription factor activity and salicylic acid homeostasis显示文摘High temperature(HT)is one of the most important environmental stress factors and seriously threatens plant growth,development,and production.VQ motif-containing proteins are transcriptional regulators that have been reported to regulate plant growth and developmental processes,including responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.However,the relationships between VQ motif-containing proteins and HT stress have not been studied in depth in plants.In this study,transgenic apple(Malus domestica)plants overexpressing the apple VQ motif-containing protein-coding gene(MdVQ37)were exposed to HT stress,and the transgenic lines exhibited a heat-sensitive phenotype.In addition,physiological and biochemical studies revealed that,compared with WT plants,transgenic lines had lower enzymatic activity and photosynthetic capacity and lower amounts of nonenzymatic antioxidant system metabolites under HT stress.Transcriptome analysis revealed 1379 genes whose expression differed between the transgenic lines and WT plants.GO and KEGG pathway analyses showed that transcription factor activity and plant hormone signaling pathways were differentially influenced and enriched in the transgenic lines.Salicylic acid(SA)content analysis indicated that overexpression of MdVQ37 reduced the content of endogenous SA by regulating the expression of SA catabolism-related genes,which ultimately resulted in disruption of the SA-dependent signaling pathway under HT stress.The application of SA slightly increased the survival rate of the transgenic lines under HT stress.Taken together,our results indicate that apple MdVQ37 has a regulatory function in basal thermotolerance by modulating the activity of transcription factors and SA homeostasis.Overall,this study provides novel insights that improve our understanding of the various functions of VQ motif-containing proteins.Qinglong Dong Dingyue Duan Wenqian Zheng Dong Huang Qian Wang Xiaoran Li Ke Mao Fengwang Ma 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:0

20Platelet membrane-coated C-TiO_(2) hollow nanospheres for combined sonodynamic and alkyl-radical cancer therapy显示文摘The therapeutic efficiency of sonodynamic therapy(SDT)mainly depends on the presence of oxygen(O_(2))to generate harmful reactive oxygen species(ROS);thus,the hypoxic tumor microenvironment significantly limits the efficacy of SDT.Therefore,the development of oxygen-independent free radical generators and associated combination therapy tactics can be a promising field to facilitate the anticancer capability of SDT.In this study,a biomimetic drug delivery system(C-TiO_(2)/AIPH@PM)composed of an alkyl-radical generator(2,2′-azobis[2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl)propane]dihydrochloride,AIPH)-loaded C-TiO_(2) hollow nanoshells(HNSs)as the inner cores,and a platelet membrane(PM)as the outer shells is successfully prepared for synergistic SDT and oxygen-independent alkyl-radical therapy.The PM encapsulation can significantly prolong the blood circulation time of CTiO_(2)/AIPH@PM compared with C-TiO_(2)/AIPH while enabling C-TiO_(2)/AIPH@PM to achieve tumor targeting.C-TiO_(2)/AIPH@PM can efficiently produce ROS and alkyl radicals,which can achieve a more thorough tumor eradication regardless of the normoxic or hypoxic conditions.Furthermore,the generation of these radicals improves the efficiency of SDT.In addition,nitrogen(N_(2))produced due to the decomposition of AIPH enhances the acoustic cavitation effect and lowers the cavitation threshold,thereby enhancing the penetration of CTiO_(2)/AIPH@PM at the tumor sites.Both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that CTiO_(2)/AIPH@PM possesses good biosafety,ultrasound imaging performance,and excellent anticancer efficacy.This study provides a new strategy to achieve oxygen-independent free radical production and enhance therapeutic efficacy by combining SDT and free radical therapy.Weihong Guo Tao Wang Chunyu Huang Shipeng Ning Qinglong Guo Wei Zhang Huawei Yang Daoming Zhu Qinqin Huang Haisheng Qian Xianwen Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
