1Effect of the cooling rate on plastic deformability of a Zr-based bulk metallic glass显示文摘The present work found the plastic deformability of Zr65Cu17.5Ni10Al7.5 BMG dependent on the cooling rate during the formation from the molten state alloy. The deformation behavior in the compression test of φ 2 mm Zr65Cu17.5Ni10Al7.5 BMGs as-cast or lathed from different sizes as-cast samples was characterized, and they exhibited different plastic strains. The compressive plastic strain increases with the decreasing diameter of the as-cast specimens, i.e. with increasing the cooling rate. 2Centimeter-scale-diameter Co-based bulk metallic glasses with fracture strength exceeding 5000 MPa显示文摘Co48-xFexCr15Mo14C15B6Er2 (x = 2.5 and 5) bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) with critical size (dc) up to 15 mm in diameter were synthesized by copper mold casting. Co43Fe5Cr15Mo14C15B6Er2 BMG has a wide supercooled liquid region (84 K) and ultrahigh fracture strength exceeding 5000 MPa,which is the highest value for reported metallic glasses with dc exceeding 1 cm. Furthermore,the Poisson ratio,Young modulus,shear modulus and bulk modulus of this alloy were evaluated to be 0.31,217 GPa,82 GPa and 214 GPa,respectively. The ideal configurational entropy of Co48-xFexCr15Mo14C15B6Er2 (x = 0 and 5) has been calculated. The introduction of the similar element Fe in the Fe-free Co-Cr-Mo-C-B-Er alloy will be beneficial to increasing the ideal config-urational entropy and depressing the critical cooling rate to achieve greater glass-forming ability. 3Effect of Ni addition on the glass-forming ability and soft-magnetic properties of FeNiBPNb metallic glasses显示文摘The effect of Ni addition on the glass-forming ability (GFA) and soft-magnetic properties of an (Fe1-xNix)75.5B14.5P7Nb3 (x=0-0.6) alloy system were investigated. We found that the addition of Ni was effective in allowing the alloy to approach a eutectic point as well as increasing the thermal stability of the supercooled liquid. By increasing the amount of Ni,the supercooled liquid region (ΔTx),the reduced glass transition temperature Trg (Tg/Tl) and the Y parameter [Tx/(Tg+Tl)] increased from 49 to 75 K,0.540 to 0.594 and 0.373 to 0.405,respectively. As a result,novel (Fe1-xNix)75.5B14.5P7Nb3 bulk metallic glass (BMG) rods with a maximum diameter of 1 mm were synthesized with a composition of x=0.5 and x=0.6 by copper mold casting. These metallic glasses have a moderate saturation magnetization of 0.37-1.20 T with good soft-magnetic properties,i.e. a low coercivity of 1.4-3.3 A/m and a high effective permeability of 13100-20900 at 1 kHz. 5High-zirconium bulk metallic glasses with high strength and large ductility显示文摘In this paper,high-zirconium Zr66+2xAl9-x(Ni1/3Cu2/3) 25-x(x=0,1,2 at.%) bulk metallic glasses with high strength and large ductility were fabricated by copper mould casting.The effects of zirconium content on the glass-forming ability(GFA),thermal properties and mechanical properties were investigated using X-ray diffractometer(XRD),differential scanning calorimeter(DSC),and mechanical testing system in compressive and three-point bending modes,respectively.The high-zirconium BMGs show the critical diameters of 3-5 mm,the supercooled liquid region ranging from 70 K to 99 K,and the yield strength of over 1700 MPa.The Zr 70 Al 7(Ni1/3Cu2/3) 23 BMG exhibits a large compressive plastic strain up to 21% and a high notch toughness value of 60.6 MPa m 1/2.The increase in Zr content results in the decrease in GFA and thermostability,and in the improvement of plasticity under compressive and three-point bending conditions.The superior plasticity of high-zirconium BMGs is attributed to their high Poisson's ratio and small elastic modulus ratio /B.YANG YaoWei HUA NengBin LI Ran PANG ShuJie ZHANG Tao 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,3:2
6Formation and biocorrosion behavior of Zr-Al-Co-Nb bulk metallic glasses显示文摘Ni-and Cu-free Zr-Al-Co-Nb glassy alloys with different Nb and Co contents were synthesized by melt spinning and copper mold casting.The effects of Nb addition to partially replace Co in the Zr55Al20Co25 glassy alloy on the glass-forming ability,thermal properties,in-vitro biocorrosion behavior and surface wettability of the metallic glasses were investigated.Although addition of Nb up to 5 at.% slightly decreased the supercooled liquid region and the glass-forming ability(GFA),the alloys could be casted in a bulk glassy rod form with diameters up to 3mm.The Zr-Al-Co-Nb glassy alloys were spontaneously passivated with low passive current densities in phosphate buffered saline and Hanks' solution.Substitution of 'toxic' Co by Nb is effective in improved the corrosion resistance of the Zr-Al-Co glassy alloy.Water contact angle measurements showed that Nb addition increased the hydrophilicity of the glassy alloys,which may enhance cell adhesion of the alloys in biomedical applications.LU XuYang HUANG Lu PANG ShuJie ZHANG Tao 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,14:2

9Bulk glass formation in ternary Cu-Zr-Ti system显示文摘The formation of bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) in ternary Cu-Zr-Ti system was investigated by a copper mold casting method. The nature of the amorphous phase was verified by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). It was demonstrated that the BMGs could be formed in a broad composition range in this system. Cu50Zr42.5Ti7.5, Cu60Zr27.5Ti12.5, Cu60Zr30Ti10 and Cu60Zr32.5Ti7.5 alloys exhibit strong glass-forming ability (GFA), and fully glassy rods of 5 mm in diameter can be obtained. In the center region of the ternary diagram, however, the GFA of the alloys was degraded due to the presence of Laves phase. 10Formation and thermal stability of Cu-Zr-Al-Er bulk metallic glasses with high glass-forming ability显示文摘The formation and thermal stabilities of Cu46.25Zr46.25xAl7.5Erx (x=0 to 8) bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) were investigated. The addition of a small amount of Er (2at%) for replacing Zr effectively improves the glass-forming ability of Cu46.25Zr46.25Al7.5 alloy, and the glassy rod with a diameter of at least 12 mm can be formed. 11Mg-Cu-Zn-Y-Zr bulk metallic glassy composite with high strength and plasticity显示文摘Mg65Cu20Zn5Y9Zr1 bulk metallic glass matrix composite with a diameter of 2 mm was produced by copper mold casting. Upon cooling the Mg65Cu20Zn5Y9Zr1 melt, Mg2Cu acicular crystalline phase precipitates uniformly with a size of about 20 μm long and 1 μm thick while the remaining melt undergoes glass transition. Room temperature compression tests revealed that the high fracture strength up to 830 MPa and the plastic strain of 2.4% before failure are obtained for the Mg-based bulk metallic glass matrix composite. 15Formation and Mechanical Properties of Zr-Nb-Cu-Ni-Al-Lu Bulk Glassy Alloys with Superior Glass-Forming Ability显示文摘Glass-forming ability(GFA) and mechanical properties of(Zr_(0.58)Nb_(0.03)Cu_(0.16)Ni_(0.13)Al_(0.10))_(100-x)Lu_x(x= 0-3 at%) alloys have been investigated.The GFA of Zr_(58)Nb_3Cu_(16)Ni_(13)Al_(10) alloy is dramatically enhanced by adding Lu.The(Zr_(0.58)Nb_(0.03)Cu_(0.16)Ni_(0.13)Al_(0.10))_(98)Lu_2 alloy possesses the highest GFA in the studied Zr-Nb-Cu-Ni-Al-Lu alloys,with its critical diameter for glass formation reaching 20 mm by copper-mould casting method,while that of the Lu-free Zr_(58)Nb_3Cu_(16)Ni_(13)Al_(10) alloy is 7 mm.The critical diameters of(Zr_(0.58)Nb_(0.03)Cu_(0.16)Ni_(0.13)Al_(0.10))_(100-x)Lu_x(x =1 at%and 3 at%) alloys are 15 mm and 12 mm,respectively.The Lu addition to Zr_(58)Nb_3Cu_(16)Ni_(13)Al_(10) alloy induces the change of initial crystallization phases from face-centred-cubic Zr_2Ni and tetragonal Zr_2Ni phases for the Lu-free Zr_(58)Nb_3Cu_(16)Ni_(13)Al_(10) alloy to an icosahedral quasi-crystalline phase for the Lu-doped alloys,which may be the origin for the enhanced GFA of the Lu-doped alloys.The compressive fracture strength and plastic strain of the bulk glassy(Zr_(0.58)Nb_(0.03)Cu_(0.16)Ni_(0.13)Al_(0.10))_(98)Lu_2 alloy are1 610 MPa and 1.5%,respectively.赵相金 LIU Wei LIU Li ZHANG Tao PANG Shujie MA Chaoli 2016Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,1:1

17Formation and mechanical properties of ductile Fe-based amorphous alloys using a cast iron with minor addition of B and Al显示文摘Fe-based amorphous alloys with ductility were synthesized using the commercial cast iron QT50 (denoted as QT) with the combining minor addition of B and Al by single roller melt-spinning. The melt-spun (QT1-xBx)99Al1 (x is from 0.006wt% to 0.01wt%) amorphous alloys exhibit onset crystallization temperatures and Curie temperatures of 759-780 and 629-642 K respectively, and whi- ch increase with B content. The amorphous ribbons are ductile and can be bent 180° without breaking. With the increase in B content from 0.006wt% to 0.01wt%, the Vickers microhardness of the amorphous alloys increases from Hv 830 to Hv 1110. 18Crystallization of amorphous Ni-Zr alloys during heating with molecular dynamics simulations显示文摘The heating processes of amorphous NixZr100-x(x=10, 16.7, 33.3) alloys were investigated with molecular dynamics simu- lations. The simulation results show that the crystallization of amorphous alloys during heating is controlled by the heating rate and the alloy’s composition. The slower heating rate depresses the crystallizing temperatures and the melting temperatures of the amor- phous alloys. Crystallization can be eliminated at rapid heating rates, the critical value of which decreases with increasing Ni content of the studied amorphous Ni-Zr alloys. 19Pancreatic steatosis and its correlation with clinicopathological features in patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms显示文摘Background and objective:The incidence of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms(pNENs)has been increasing year by year,and pancreatic steatosis has been paid more and more attention to by clinicians.Our study aims to reveal the correlation between pancreatic steatosis,clinicopathological parameters,and the prognosis of patients with pNENs.Methods:The clinicopathological data of patients with pNENs who underwent surgical resections in our institution from January 2013 to May 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.The mean computed tomography(CT)values of the pancreas and spleen were used to assess the severity of the pancreatic steatosis.Pearson Chi-square test,T test,Mann Whitney U test,Univariate Cox re-gression,and Multivariate Cox regression were used to explore the relationship between pancreatic steatosis and age,sex,body mass index,tumor type,tumor location,tumor stage,blood lipid,prognosis,and other factors.Results:A total of 122 patients were included in our study,and 19.67%have pancreatic steatosis.The incidence of pancreatic steatosis was significantly higher in patients with fatty liver than in patients without fatty liver(36.8%vs 16.5%,P=.04).In insu-linoma,the incidence of pancreatic steatosis in elderly patients was significantly higher than in young and middle-aged patients(41.7%vs 9.3%,P=.025).There was no significant difference in lipid levels between the pancreatic steatosis group and the non-pancreatic steatosis group(P>.05).Kaplan-Meier curves show that the prognosis of stage III/IV patients was significantly worse than that of stage I/II patients(P<.001).However,there was no significant difference in prognosis between patients with and without pancreatic steatosis(P=.404).Conclusion:The incidence of pancreatic steatosis was significantly higher in those with fatty liver than those without fatty liver.There is a high incidence of pancreatic steatosis in elderly patients with insulinoma.American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC)stage,but not pancreatic steatosis,significantly affected the prognosis of patients with pNENs.Yongzheng Li Jian Yang Zhiyao Fan Peng Dong Jingjuan Hu Shujie Liu Yufan Meng Changhao Gao Xin Gao Chaoyu Pang Hanxiang Zhan 2023Journal of Pancreatology2023,6,2:0
20Ti-Cu-Zr-Fe-Nb ultrafine structure-dendrite composites with good mechanical properties and biocompatibility显示文摘Ti-Cu-Zr-Fe-Nb ultrafine structure-dendrite composites were designed by inducing Nb and more Ti to a Ti-Cu-Zr-Fe glass-forming alloy composition and prepared by copper mold casting.The composite alloys consist of β-Ti dendrites and ultrafine-structured CuTi_2 and CuTi phases as well as a trace amount of glassy phase.The volume fraction of β-Ti dendrites increases with the increase in content of Nb which acted as the β-Ti phase stabilizer in the alloys.The composites exhibit high compressive yield strength exceeding1200 MPa,maximum strength around 1800 MPa and low Young's modulus around 48 GPa.The plasticity of the alloys is strongly influenced by the volume fraction and morphology of the dendritic β-Ti phase,and the compressive plastic strain was enlarged from 5.9%for the 4 at%Nb alloy to 9.2%for the 8 at%Nb alloy.The preliminary cell culture experiment indicated good biocompatibility of the composite alloys free from highly toxic elements Ni and Be.These Ti-based composite alloys are promising to have potential structural and biomedical applications due to the combination of good mechanical properties and biocompatibility.Guan Wang Shujie Pang Haifei Li Min Zhang Gang Zhou Tao Zhang 2013Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,6:0
