| 1 | Assessing the global averaged sea-level budget from 2003 to 2010显示文摘A global mass balance(Greenland and Antarctica ice sheet mass loss,terrestrial water storage)and different sea-level components(observed sea-level from satellite altimetry,steric sea-level from Ishii data,and ocean mass from gravity recovery and climate experiment,GRACE)are estimated,in terms of seasonal and interannual variabilities from 2003 to 2010.The results show that a detailed analysis of the GRACE time series over the time period 2003–2010 unambiguously reveals an increase in mass loss from the Greenland ice sheet and Antarctica ice sheet.The mass loss of both ice sheets accelerated at a rate of(392.8±70.0)Gt/a during 2003–2010,which contributed(1.09±0.19)mm/a to the global mean sea-level during this time.The net terrestrial water storage(TWS)trend was negative over the 8 a time span,which gave a small positive contribution of(0.25±0.12)mm/a.The interannual variability of the global mean sea-level was at least partly caused by year-to-year variability of land water storage.Estimating GRACE-based ice sheet mass balance and terrestrial water storage by using published estimates for melting glaciers,the results further show that the ocean mass increase since 2003 has resulted half from an enhanced contribution of the polar ice sheets,and half from the combined ice sheet and terrestrial water storage loss.Taking also into account the melting of mountain glaciers(0.41 mm/a)and the small GRACE-based contribution from continental waters(0.25 mm/a),a total ocean mass contribution of(1.75±0.57)mm/a from 2003 to 2010 is found.Such a value represented 75%of the altimetry-based rate of sea-level rise over that period.The contributions to steric sea-level(i.e.,ocean thermal expansion plus salinity effects)are estimated from:(1)the difference between altimetry-based sea-level and ocean mass change and(2)the latest Ishii data.The inferred steric sea-level rate from(1)(1.41 mm/a from 2003 to 2010)did not agree well with the Ishii-based value also estimated here(0.44 mm/a from 2003 to 2010),but phase.The cause for such a discrepancy is not yet known but may be related to inadequate sampling of in situ ocean temperature and salinity measurements. | LI Juan ZUO Juncheng CHEN Meixiang TAN Wei YANG Yiqiu | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,10: | 6 |
| 2 | A Phytophthora capsid Effector Targets ACD11 Binding Partners that Regulate ROS-Mediated Defense Response in Arabidopsis显示文摘Reactive oxygen species (ROS) play a vital role in plant immune response, but the genes involved in the regulation of ROS are scantily reported. Phytophthora pathogens produce a large number of effectors to promote infection, but the modes of action adopted are largely unknown. Here, we report that RxLR207 could activate ROS-mediated cell death in Nicotiana benthamiana and was essential for virulence of P. capsici. We found that this effector targeted BPA1 (binding partner of ACD11) and four members of BPLs (BPAl-Like proteins)in Arabidopsis, and the bpa1 and bpl mutants had enhanced ROS accumulation and cell death under biotic or abiotic stresses. Furthermore, we showed that BPA1 and several BPLs functioned redundantly in plant immunity to P. capsici. We discovered that BPA1 and all six BPLs interacted with ACD11, and stabilization of ACD11 was impaired in the bpa 1, bpl2, bpl3, and bpl4 mutants. RxLR207 could promote the degradation of BPA1, BPL1, BPL2, and BPL4 to disrupt ACD11 stabilization in a 26S proteasome-dependent manner. | 3 | Effects of Continuous Cropping of Panax notoginseng on the Properties of Rhizosphere Soil显示文摘[Objective] This experiment aimed to investigate the effects of continuous cropping of Panax notoginseng on the properties of rhizosphere soil. [Method] A total of 12 rhizospheres oil samples were collected in the fields continuously cropped with P. notoginseng for different years and the soil properties including pH value, contents of available N, available K, available P,total N, total K, total P and organic matter were determined. [Result] With the increase in the number of years of continuous cropping, seven soli indices: soil pH value, organic matter content, total N, total P, total K, available P and available K gradually increased, while available N showed a gradual downward trend. The contents of organic matter content, total N, total P, total K,available P, available K and available N after three years of continuous cropping were increased by 74.93%, 65.85%, 123.82%,18.78%, 341.67%, 120.16% and-32.16%, respectively, indicating that continuous cropping of P. notoginseng resulted in nutrient enrichment in rhizosphere soils. The pH value and available N in IBC(soil inside the border check) and UBC(soil under the border check) were higher than that in BBC(soil beside the border check), suggesting that the soil was gradually alkalized due to the continuous cropping of P. notoginseng. | 4 | Responses of Soil Fauna Structure and Leaf Litter Decomposition to Effective Microorganism Treatments in Da Hinggan Mountains,China显示文摘Microorganisms are nutritious resources for various soil fauna.Although soil fauna grazing affects microorganism composition and decomposition rate,the responses of soil fauna and leaf litter decomposition to added microorganism is little understood.In this study,in the coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest of Tahe County in the northern Da Hinggan Mountains,China,three sampling sites(each has an area of 10 m2) were selected.The first two sites were sprinkled with 250 times(EM1) and 1000 times(EM2) diluted effective microorganism(EM) preparations evenly,and the third site was sprinkled with the same volume of water as a control site.The responses of soil fauna structure and leaf litter decomposition to EM treatment were conducted during three years.The results revealed that EM treatment resulted in significant increase of soil organic matter.The number of soil fauna in the EM1 and EM2 sites increased by 12.88% and 2.23% compared to the control site,and among them springtails and mites showed the highest increase.However,the groups of soil fauna in the EM1 and EM2 sites decreased by 6 and 9,respectively.And the changes in the diversity and evenness index were relatively complicated.EM treatment slowed the decomposition of broad-leaved litter,but accelerated the decomposition of coniferous litter.However,the decomposition rate of broad-leaved litter was still higher than that of coniferous litter.The results of this study suggested that the added microorganisms could help individual growth of soil fauna,and this method led to a change in the process of leaf litter decomposition.This paper did not analyze the activity of soil microorganisms,thus it is difficult to clearly explain the complex relationships among litter type,soil fauna and soil microorganisms.Further research on this subject is needed. | GAO Meixiang LI Jingke ZHANG Xueping | 2012 | Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,6: | 4 |
| 5 | Optimization of denitrifying phosphorus removal in a predenitrification anaerobic/anoxic/post-aeration+nitrification sequence batch reactor(pre-A_(2)NSBR)system:Nitrate recycling,carbon/nitrogen ratio and carbon source type显示文摘Because the efficiency of biological nutrient removal is always limited by the deficient carbon source for the low carbon/nitrogen(C/N)ratio in real domestic sewage,the denitrifying phosphorus removal(DNPR)was developed as a simple and efficient method to remove nitrogen and phosphorous.In addition,this method has the advantage of saving aeration energy while reducing the sludge production.In this context,a pre-denitrification anaerobic/anoxic/post-aeration+nitrification sequence batch reactor(pre-A_(2)NSBR)system,which could also reduce high ammonia effluent concentration in the traditional two-sludge DNPR process,is proposed in this work.The pre-A_(2)NSBR process was mainly composed of a DNPR SBR and a nitrifying SBR,operating as alternating anaerobic/anoxic/post-aeration+nitrification sequence.Herein,the long-term performance of different nitrate recycling ratios(0-300%)and C/N ratios(2.5-8.8),carbon source type,and functional microbial community were studied.The results showed that the removal efficiency of total inorganic nitrogen(TIN,including NH4^(+)-N,NO_(2)^(-)-N,and NO_(3)^(-)-N)gradually increased with the nitrate recycling ratios,and the system reached the highest DNPR efficiency of 94.45% at the nitrate recycling ratio of 300%.The optimum C/N ratio was around 3.9-7.3 with a nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiency of 80.15%and 93.57%,respectively.The acetate was proved to be a high-quality carbon source for DNPR process.The results of fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)analysis indicated that nitrifiers and phosphorus accumulating organisms(PAOs)were accumulated with a proportion of 19.41%and 26.48%,respectively. | Weihua Zhao Meixiang Wang Jianwei Li Yu Huang Baikun Li Cong Pan Xiyao Li Yongzhen Peng | 2018 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,5: | 3 |
| 6 | Hypoxia induces T-cell apoptosis by inhibiting chemokine C receptor 7 expression:the role of adenosine receptor A2显示文摘Hypoxia is a major characteristic of the tumor microenvironment,and its effects on immune cells are proposed to be important factors for the process of tumor immune escape.It has been reported that hypoxia affects the function of dendritic cells and the antitumor function of T cells.Here we discuss the effects of hypoxia on T-cell survival.Our results showed that hypoxia induced apoptosis of T cells.Adenosine and adenosine receptors(AR)are important to the hypoxia-related signaling pathway.Using AR agonists and antagonists,we demonstrated that hypoxia-induced apoptosis of T cells was mediated by A^(2a)and A^(2b)receptors.Furthermore,we are the first,to our knowledge,to report that hypoxia significantly inhibited the expression of chemokine C receptor 7(CCR7)of T cells via the A^(2)R signal pathway,perhaps representing a mechanism of hypoxia-induced apoptosis of T cells.Collectively,our research demonstrated that hypoxia induces T-cell apoptosis by the A^(2)R signaling pathway partly by suppressing CCR7.Blocking the A^(2)R signaling pathway and/or activation of CCR7 can increase the anti-apoptosis function of T cells and may become a new strategy to improve antitumor potential. | Jintang Sun Yan Zhang Meixiang Yang Yun Zhang Qi Xie Zewu Li Zhaogang Dong Yongmei Yang Biping Deng Alei Feng Weixu Hu Haiting Mao Xun Qu | 2010 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010,7,1: | 3 |

| 11 | Nicotinamide mononucleotide improves spermatogenic function in streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice via modulating the glycolysis pathway显示文摘Spermatogenic dysfunction is one of the major secondary complications of diabetes;however,the underlying mechanisms remain ill-defined,and there is no available drug or strategy for the radical treatment of diabetic spermatogenic dysfunction.Therefore,the objective of this study is to investigate the protective effects of nicotinamide mononucleotide(NMN)on testicular spermatogenic function in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic mice.The results show that oral administration of NMN significantly increases the body and testis weight and the number of sperms.Moreover,the abnormal sperm count and the rate of sperm malformation are significantly decreased compared with the saline-treated diabetic mice.Histological analysis reveals that NMN treatment significantly increases the area and diameter of seminiferous tubules,accompanied by an increased number of spermatogenic cells and sperms.Immunohistochemistry and qRT-PCR results show that NMN increases Bcl-2 expression and decreases Bax expression in the testis.NMN also increases the protein expression of Vimentin and the mRNA expressions of WT1 and GATA4.In addition,qRT-PCR,western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry results also show that NMN increases the expressions of glycolysis-related rate-limiting enzymes including HK2,PKM2,and LDHA.In summary,this study demonstrates the protective effects of NMN on the testis in an STZ-induced diabetic mice model.NMN exerts its protective effects via reducing spermatogenic cell apoptosis by regulating glycolysis of Sertoli cells in diabetic mice.This study provides an experimental basis for the future clinical application of NMN in diabetes-induced spermatogenicdysfunction. | Duo Ma Linlin Hu Jinyuan Wang Min Luo Aihong Liang Xiaocan Lei Biyun Liao Meixiang Li Ming Xie Haicheng Li Yiwei Gong Dan Zi Xiangrun Li Xi Chen Xucai Liao | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9: | 1 |
