1Effect of maternal age on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET)显示文摘This is a retrospective,observational study to evaluate the effect of maternal age on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET).11830 IVF-ET cycles from 10268 women were included.Four groups of different maternal age periods were compared.The groups were 21 30 years old group(4549 cycles),31-35 years old group(4424 cycles),36-40 years old group(2429 cycles),and over 40 years old group(428 cycles).The mean starting dose of Gn and mean total dose of Gn in each cycle were significantly higher(P<0.01),while the mean retrieved oocyte number was significantly lower(P<0.01) in groups of higher maternal age period than those in each of the lower groups.The biochemical pregnancy rate and the clinical pregnancy rate were significantly lower(P<0.01),while the miscarriage rate was significantly higher(P<0.01) in groups of higher maternal age period than those in the lower groups.No difference was found in two-pronuclear zygotes(2PN) rate and good quality embryo rate among different groups.Birth defect rate was also comparable in the born babies in different groups.In the group with patients' age over 40 years old,the pregnancy rate was 26.87%,the clinical pregnancy rate was 19.39%,while the miscarriage rate after clinical pregnancy was 36.14%.To draw the conclusion,patients with higher maternal age had worse IVF outcomes.In women of fertile age,patients between 20 and 30 years old have the best IVF outcomes.Patients over 40 years old have poor IVF outcome and high miscarriage rate,which suggested the necessity of preimplantation genetic screening(PGS).YAN JunHao WU KeLiang TANG Rong DING LingLing CHEN Zi-Jiang 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,8:23
2Mechanism of acupuncture regulating visceral sensation and mobility显示文摘Chinese ancient medical scientists have long focused on the internal and external contacts between acupoints on the surface of the body and the viscera.The Miraculous Pivot(it is one of the earliest medical classics in China)stated,“Twelve regular channels belong to the zang-fu organs internally,and connect to the extremities and joints externally.”Traditional Chinese medicine considers acupoints as defined areas where the Qi of viscera and meridians are transfused.These include the reaction points of visceral diseases on the body surface as well as the acupuncture trigger points that promote the flow of Qi and blood,and regulate visceral function.Chinese ancient medical scientists classified the specificity of the main acupoints in the body based on the meridian doctrine,which has been instructing clinical application for about 2000 years.Laws on the domino effect of acupoints have mainly focused on conclusions to clinical experiences.Indications of some acupoints exceed the practical paradigm since the excessive extension occurred during theory derivation.The current research direction on acupuncture focuses on three aspects:the effectiveness of acupuncture and moxibustion;the relevances and associations between meridians and viscera;and the physical and chemical properties and relevant physical basis of acupoints.The relevance between meridians and viscera is the central theory in the meridian doctrine,and acupoints are regarded as an important link in the relationship between meridians and viscera.Specific relationships between acupoints and target organs exist.Stimulating different acupoints on the body surface can help deal with different diseases,especially visceral diseases.In addition,acupoints have a dual function of reflecting and treating visceral diseases.There is no systemic research available on acupoint specificity,despite current knowledge and clinical experiences,which results in a weak foundation for acupuncture theory.This study focuses on the relevance and associations between meridians and viscera.A summary of the mechanisms of acupuncture regulating visceral sensation and mobility and the specific relationships between acupoints and their target organs are presented in this review.Peijing Rong Bing Zhu Yuqing Li Xinyan Gao Hui Ben Yanhua Li Liang Li Wei He Rupeng Liu Lingling Yu 2011Frontiers of Medicine2011,5,2:8

6Auricular vagus nerve acupressure for patients with emotional distress under the COVID-19 pandemic:A smartphone-based,randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective: To confirm whether self-administered AVNA treatment is effective in improving emotional distressunder the COVID-19 pandemic.Methods: A smartphone-based online, randomized, controlled trial was designed from 26 February 2020 to 28April 2020 in four study sites, including Wuhan, Beijing, Shenyang, and Guangzhou of China. Local residentswho had considerable emotional distress with a score of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) ≥9 were recruited. Participants were randomly assigned to three times of AVNA (n = 191) per day, in morning,around noon, and in evening or usual care (UC, n = 215) once daily for 14 days. The primary outcome was theresponse rate, which was the proportion of participants whose Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS)score reduced from baseline by ≥ 50%. The assessment was conducted at baseline, 3 days, and 14 days.Results: The AVNA group had a markedly higher response rate than the UC group at 3 days (35.6% vs. 24.9%,P = 0.02) and at 14 days (70.7% vs. 60.6%, P = 0.02). The AVNA group showed significantly greater reductionin scores of HADS at the two measurement points and BAI at 3 days (P ≤ 0.03), with average respective effectsize of 0.217 and 0.195. Participants with AVNA spent less time falling asleep and rated their sleep qualitybeing remarkably higher than those with UC at endpoint.Conclusion: During COVID-19 pandemic period, treatment with self-administrated AVNA was more effectivethan UC in reducing emotional distress of isolated populations. 7Aggregated carbon dots-loaded macrophages treat sepsis by eliminating multidrug-resistant bacteria and attenuating inflammation显示文摘Sepsis,caused by uncontrollable infection and inflammatory response,leads to more than 30 million infected patients and results in high morbidity worldwide every year.Currently,no efficient approaches have been developed for sepsis therapy due to antimicrobial resistance and inflammatory storm.Here,we report macrophages loaded with aggregated carbon dots(ACDs)in the lysosome,termed MCDs,to treat sepsis in immunosuppressive mice.The ACDs are constructed by negative CDs and amine-abundant polyethyleneimine(PEI),enabling them to bear the strong antibacterial ability and enhanced photoluminescent efficacy.The ACDs are specifically located in the macrophage lysosomes,efficiently enhancing the multidrug-resistant bacteria-killing ability of MCDs.More importantly,the MCDs possess superior anti-inflammatory effects such as reducing the number of pro-inflammatory(M1)and stimulating anti-inflammatory(M2)macrophages.These effects upregulate the inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-4,and IL-10),ultimately resulting in increased sepsis survival.Our work provides an intelligent approach to overcoming multidrug-resistant bacteria-induced infection from sepsis patients and paves a new avenue on employing nanoparticle-loaded cells for combating inflammation-related infection.Lihua Li Lingling Chen Yao Lu Binglin Li Rong Hu Ling Huang Tao Zhang Xiaoming Wei Zhongmin Yang Chuanbin Mao 2023Aggregate2023,4,1:0
8Discovery of a highly specific ^(18)F-labeled PET ligand for phosphodiesterase 10A enabled by novel spirocyclic iodonium ylide radiofluorination显示文摘As a member of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase(PDE)enzyme family,PDE10A is in charge of the degradation of cyclic adenosine(cAMP)and guanosine monophosphates(cGMP).While PDE10A is primarily expressed in the medium spiny neurons of the striatum,it has been implicated in a variety of neurological disorders.Indeed,inhibition of PDE10A has proven to be of potential use for the treatment of central nervous system(CNS)pathologies caused by dysfunction of the basal ganglia–of which the striatum constitutes the largest component.A PDE10A-targeted positron emission tomography(PET)radioligand would enable a better assessment of the pathophysiologic role of PDE10A,as well as confirm the relationship between target occupancy and administrated dose of a given drug candidate,thus accelerating the development of effective PDE10A inhibitors.In this study,we designed and synthesized a novel ^(18)F-aryl PDE10A PET radioligand,codenamed[^(18)F]P10A-1910([^(18)F]9),in high radiochemical yield and molar activity via spirocyclic iodonium ylide-mediated radiofluorination.[^(18)F]9 possessed good in vitro binding affinity(IC_(50)=2.1 nmol/L)and selectivity towards PDE10A.Further,[^(18)F]9 exhibited reasonable lipophilicity(logD=3.50)and brain permeability(P_(app)>10×10^(−6) cm/s in MDCK-MDR1 cells).PET imaging studies of[^(18)F]9 revealed high striatal uptake and excellent in vivo specificity with reversible tracer kinetics.Preclinical studies in rodents revealed an improved plasma and brain stability of[^(18)F]9 when compared to the current reference standard for PDE10A-targeted PET,[^(18)F]MNI659.Further,dose–response experiments with a series of escalating doses of PDE10A inhibitor 1 in rhesus monkey brains confirmed the utility of[^(18)F]9 for evaluating target occupancy in vivo in higher species.In conclusion,our results indicated that[^(18)F]9 is a promising PDE10A PET radioligand for clinical translation.Zhiwei Xiao Huiyi Wei Yi Xu Ahmed Haider Junjie Wei Shiyu Yuan Jian Rong Chunyu Zhao Guocong Li Weibin Zhang Huangcan Chen Yuefeng Li Lingling Zhang Jiyun Sun Shaojuan Zhang Hai-Bin Luo Sen Yan Qijun Cai Lu Hou Chao Che Steven H.Liang Lu Wang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,4:0
9A Hybrid Biofuel and Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Bioenergy Harvesting显示文摘Various types of energy exist everywhere around us,and these energies can be harvested from multiple sources to power micro-/nanoelectronic system and even personal electronic products.In this work,we proposed a hybrid energy-harvesting system(HEHS)for potential in vivo applications.The HEHS consisted of a triboelectric nanogenerator and a glucose fuel cell for simultaneously harvesting biomechanical energy and biochemical energy in simulated body fluid.These two energy-harvesting units can work individually as a single power source or work simultaneously as an integrated system.This design strengthened the flexibility of harvesting multiple energies and enhanced corresponding electric output.Compared with any individual device,the integrated HEHS outputs a superimposed current and has a faster charging rate.Using the harvested energy,HEHS can power a calculator or a green light-emitting diode pattern.Considering the widely existed biomechanical energy and glucose molecules in the body,the developed HEHS can be a promising candidate for building in vivo self-powered healthcare monitoring system.Hu Li Xiao Zhang Luming Zhao Dongjie Jiang Lingling Xu Zhuo Liu Yuxiang Wu Kuan Hu Ming‑Rong Zhang Jiangxue Wang Yubo Fan Zhou Li 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,4:0
10Structural effects of sulfonamides on the proliferation dynamics of sulfonamide resistance genes in the sequencing batch reactors and the mechanism显示文摘Antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)can be easily promoted by antibiotics,however,the structural effects of antibiotics on the proliferation of ARGs dynamic and the associated mechanisms remain obscure in,especially,activated sludge sequencing batch reactors.In the present study,the effects of 9 sulfonamides(SAs)with different structures on the proliferation dynamic of sulfonamide resistance genes(Suls)in the activated sludge sequencing batch reactors and the corresponding mechanisms were determined(30 days),and the results showed that the largest proliferation value(ΔA^(R))of Suls dynamic for SAs(sulfachloropyridazine)was approximately 2.9 times than that of the smallest one(sulfadiazine).The proliferation of Suls was significantly related to the structural features(minHBint6,SssNH,SHBd and SpMax2_Bhm)that represent the biological activity of SAs.To interpret the phenomenon,a mechanistic model was developed and the results indicated that the biodegradation of SAs(T_(1/2))rather than conjugative transfer frequency or mutation frequency tends to be the key process for affecting Suls proliferation.T_(1/2)was proved to be dependent on the interactions between SAs and receptors(E_(binding)),the cleavage mode(bond dissociation energy),and the site of nucleophilic assault.Besides,the metagenomic analysis showed that SAs posed significant effect on antibiotic resistome and Tnp31 played a vital role in the proliferation of Suls.Overall,our findings provide important insight into a theoretical basis for understanding the structural effects of SAs on the proliferation of ARGs in SBR systems.Ligui Wu Mingyu Wang Lingling Rong Wenbiao Wang Linwei Chen Qiaofeng Wu Haoyu Sun Xiangfeng Huang Xiaoming Zou 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,1:0
11A new sensitization strategy for achieving organic RTP in aqueous solution:tunable RTP and UC emission in supramolecular TTA-UC systems显示文摘Achieving room temperature phosphorescence(RTP)of heavy-atom-free organic molecules with near-infrared(NIR)emission in solutions is fascinating for medical and biological applications but is highly challengable.Herein,we report a new sensitization strategy to achieve RTP of heavy-atom-free fluorophores which served as energy acceptors in triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion(TTA-UC)by carefully designing the accommodated microenvironments through non-covalent interactions with a PAMAM dendrimer matrix.Sensitized RTP of a serial of diphenyl anthracene(DPA)derivatives peaked at 766 nm were observed for the first time in an aqueous solution with a maximal quantum yield of 1.4%.A ternary supramolecular assembling between the UC components and the dendrimers was formed via electrostatic interaction between the–COOH and peripheral amino groups.On one hand,it assured the efficient population of the triplet states of the fluorophore via triplet-triplet energy transfer(TTET)process;on the other hand,it restricted the motions of the fluorophores,and thus inhibited the nonradiative inactivation of the populated triplet states.These two aspects jointly contributed to the sensitized RTP of DPA units.Significantly,the microenvironment in which the annihilators resided could be regulated by adjusting the ratio of carboxyl to amino groups(–COOH/–NH_(2)),when–COOH/–NH_(2)<1,the annihilators were mainly immobilized at the periphery of the dendrimers,leading to the sensitized RTP,and when COOH/–NH_(2)>1,the UC components could be partly driven to the hydrophobic cavities of the dendrimers,resulting an unprecedentedly simultaneous emission of upconverted fluorescence and down-converted phosphorescence of the annihilators.Lingling Wei Fanrui Gao Cheng He Qiuhui He Pengyue Jin Yanqin Rong Ting Zhao Cheng Yang Wanhua Wu 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,12:0
