| 1 | Antimony(V) removal from water by iron-zirconium bimetal oxide: Performance and mechanism显示文摘A Fe-Zr binary oxide adsorbent has been successfully synthesized using a co-precipitation method. It showed a better performance for antimonate (Sb(V)) removal than zirconium oxide or amorphous ferric oxide. The experimental results showed that the Fe-Zr adsorbent has a capacity of 51 mg/g at an initial Sb(V) concentration of 10 mg/L at pH 7.0. Sb(V) adsorption on the Fe-Zr bimetal oxide is normally an endothermic reaction. Most of the Sb(V) adsorption took place within 3 hr and followed a pseudo second-order rate law. Co-existing anions such as SO42- , NO3- and Cl- had no considerable effects on the Sb(V) removal; PO34 had an inhibitory effect to some extent at high concentration; while CO32- and SiO44- showed significant inhibitory effects when they existed in high concentrations. The mechanism of Sb(V) adsorption on the adsorbent was investigated using a combination of zeta potential measurements, XPS, Raman, FT-IR observations and SO42- release determination. The ionic strength dependence and zeta potential measurements indicated that inner-sphere surface complexes were formed after Sb(V) adsorption. Raman and XPS observations demonstrated that both Fe-OH and Zr-OH sites at the surface of the Fe-Zr adsorbent play important roles in the Sb(V) adsorption. FT-IR characterization and SO42- release determination further demonstrated that the exchange of SO42- with Sb(V) also could promote the adsorption process. | 3 | A unified model for the formation and distribution of both conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs显示文摘The discovery and large-scale exploration of unconventional oil/gas resources since 1980s have been considered as the most important advancement in the history of petroleum geology;that has not only changed the balance of supply and demand in the global energy market,but also improved our understanding of the formation mechanisms and distribution characteristics of oil/gas reservoirs.However,what is the difference of conventional and unconventional resources and why they always related to each other in petroliferous basins is not clear.As the differences and correlations between unconventional and conventional resources are complex challenging issues and very critical for resources assessment and hydrocarbon exploration,this paper focused on studying the relationship of formations and distributions among different oil/gas reservoirs.Drilling results of 12,237 exploratory wells in 6 representative petroliferous basins of China and distribution characteristics for 52,926 oil/gas accumulations over the world were applied to clarify the formation conditions and genetic relations of different oil/gas reservoirs in a petroliferous basin,and then to establish a unified model to address the differences and correlations of conventional and unconventional reservoirs.In this model,conventional reservoirs formed in free hydrocarbon dynamic field with high porosity and permeability located above the boundary of hydrocarbon buoyancy-driven accumulation depth limit.Unconventional tight reservoirs formed in confined hydrocarbon dynamic field with low porosity and permeability located between hydrocarbon buoyancy-driven accumulation depth limit and hydrocarbon accumulation depth limit.Shale oil/gas reservoirs formed in the bound hydrocarbon dynamic field with low porosity and ultra-low permeability within the source rock layers.More than 75%of proved reserves around the world are discovered in the free hydrocarbon dynamic field,which is estimated to contain only 10%of originally generated hydrocarbons.Most of undiscovered resources distributed in the confined hydrocarbon dynamic field and the bound hydrocarbon dynamic field,which contains 90%of original generated hydrocarbons,implying a reasonable and promising area for future hydrocarbon explorations.The buried depths of hydrocarbon dynamic fields become shallow with the increase of heat flow,and the remaining oil/gas resources mainly exist in the deep area of“cold basin”with low geothermal gradient.Lithology changing in the hydrocarbon dynamic field causes local anomalies in the oil/gas dynamic mechanism,leading to the local formation of unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs in the free hydrocarbon dynamic field or the occurrence of oil/gas enrichment sweet points with high porosity and permeability in the confined hydrocarbon dynamic field.The tectonic movements destroy the medium conditions and oil/gas components,which leads to the transformation of conventional oil/gas reservoirs formed in free hydrocarbon dynamic field to unconventional ones or unconventional ones formed in confined and bound hydrocarbon dynamic fields to conventional ones. | Xiongqi Pang Chengzao Jia Junqing Chen Maowen Li Wenyang Wang Qinhong Hu Yingchun Guo Zhangxin Chen Junwen Peng Keyu Liu Keliu Wu | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,2: | 8 |
| 4 | Estimated cancer incidence and mortality in Hebei province,2012显示文摘Objective: This study estimates the numbers of new cancer cases and cancer deaths in Hebei province using incidence and mortality data from 9 population-based cancer registries in 2012.Methods: The data of new diagnosed cancer cases and cancer deaths in 2012 were collected from 9 population-based cancer registries of Hebei province in 2015. All the data met the National Central Cancer Registry of China(NCCR) criteria of data quality. The pooled data analysis was stratified by areas(urban/rural), gender, age group(0, 1-4, 5-9, 10-14, …, 85+) and cancer type. New cancer cases and deaths in Hebei province were estimated using age-specific rates and corresponding provincial population in 2012. The 10 most common cancers in different groups and the cumulative rates were calculated. Chinese population census in 2000 and Segi's population were used for age-standardized incidence/mortality rates. Results: All cancer registries covered 4,986,847 populations, 6.84% of Hebei provincial population(2,098,547 in urban and 2,888,300 in rural areas). The percentage of cases morphologically verified(MV%) and death certificate-only cases(DCO%) were 76.40% and 4.72%, respectively. The mortality to incidence rate ratio(M/I) was 0.64. In 2012, it is estimated that there were about 187,900 new diagnosed cancer cases and 119,800 cancer deaths in Hebei province. The incidence rate of cancer was 258.12/100,000(275.75/100,000 in males, 239.78/100,000 in females), and the age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC) and by world standard population(ASIRW) were 210.65/100,000 and 208.50/100,000, with the cumulative incidence rates(0-74 years old) of 24.46%. The cancer incidence and ASIRC were 256.99/100,000 and 211.32/100,000 in urban areas and 258.94/100,000 and 209.99/100,000 in rural areas, respectively. The cancer mortality rate was 164.63/100,000(201.85/100,000 in males, 125.92/100,000 in females). Agestandardized mortality rates by Chinese standard population(ASMRC) and by world standard population(ASMRW) were 137.30/100,000 and 137.39/100,000 with the cumulative mortality rate(0-74 years old) of 14.58%, respectively. The cancer mortality rate in rural areas(167.16/100,000) was higher than that in urban areas(161.16/100,000). The most common cancers were lung cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer and colorectal cancer, which accounted for 72.31% of all cancer cases. Lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, esophageal cancer and colorectal cancer were the major causes of cancer death in Hebei province, which accounted for 75.24% of all cancer deaths. | 7 | Solving Multi-Area Environmental/Economic Dispatch by Pareto-Based Chemical-Reaction Optimization Algorithm显示文摘In this study, we present a Pareto-based chemicalreaction optimization(PCRO) algorithm for solving the multiarea environmental/economic dispatch optimization problems.Two objectives are minimized simultaneously, i.e., total fuel cost and emission. In the proposed algorithm, each solution is represented by a chemical molecule. A novel encoding mechanism for solving the multi-area environmental/economic dispatch optimization problems is designed to dynamically enhance the performance of the proposed algorithm. Then, an ensemble of effective neighborhood approaches is developed, and a selfadaptive neighborhood structure selection mechanism is also embedded in PCRO to increase the search ability while maintaining population diversity. In addition, a grid-based crowding distance strategy is introduced, which can obviously enable the algorithm to easily converge near the Pareto front. Furthermore,a kinetic-energy-based search procedure is developed to enhance the global search ability. Finally, the proposed algorithm is tested on sets of the instances that are generated based on realistic production. | 8 | Effects of lanthanum on the growth and essential oil components of lavender under osmotic stress显示文摘The effects of lanthanum on growth, soluble sugar content, essential oil contents and quality were studied in lavender plant(Lavandula Angustifolia Mill, Variety 701) under osmotic stress by means of PEG-6000 solution. The results show that osmotic stress could reduce the growth rate of lavender, and increase the content of SSC(soluble sugar concentration) to some extent. Compared with control group,the contents of essential oil in flowers and leaves respectively increase by 45.6% and 48.3% in the osmotic stress group induced by 15% PEG-6000. However, the presence of lanthanum can make the contents of essential oil in the flowers and leaves of stressed lavender plants enhance by 19.4% and 18.6%, respectively. Under osmotic stress, the relative contents of four kinds of lavender essential oil compositions of camphor, linalool, linalyl acetate and lavandulol acetate in the lavender flowers were successively 22.63%,0.61%,25.46%,7.03%,and 20.17%,0.62%,20.72%,10.80%,respectively in the presence and absence of lanthanum. The contents of all four main components of lavender essential oils meet the requirements of the national standard under osmotic stress in the presence of lanthanum. However, in the absence of lanthanum, the contents of linalyl acetate and lavandulol acetate does not meet the requirements of the national standard under osmotic stress. Moreover, the contents of five components of borneol, camphor,eudesmol, caryophyllene oxide and bicyclic sesquiphellandrene from the essential oil of lavender leaves are 12.89%, 3.84%, 8.76%, 11.30% and 8.10%, respectively. The total content of above five components accounts for 44.89% of the essential oil of the lavender leaves. Particularly, the borneol content in leaf essential oil is up to 12.89%. It is 125.2 times the amount of borneol in the flower essential oil. | 10 | Tunable and switchable harmonic h-shaped pulse generation in a 3.03 km ultralong mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser显示文摘We experimentally demonstrated a type of tunable and switchable harmonic h-shaped pulse generation in a thulium-doped fiber(TDF) laser passively mode locked by using an ultralong nonlinear optical loop mirror.The total cavity length was ~3.03 km, the longest ever built for a TDF laser to our best knowledge, which resulted in an ultralarge anomalous dispersion over -200 ps^2 around the emission wavelength. The produced h-shaped pulse can operate either in a fundamental or in a high-order harmonic mode-locking(HML) state depending on pump power and intra-cavity polarization state(PS). The pulse duration, no matter of the operation state, was tunable with pump power. However, pulse breaking and self-organizing occurred, resulting in high-order HML,when the pump power increased above a threshold. At a fixed pump power, the order of HML was switchable from one to another by manipulating the PS. Switching from the 8 th up to the 48 th order of HML was achieved with a fixed pump power of ~4.15 W. Our results revealed the detailed evolution and switching characteristics of the HML and individual pulse envelope with respect to both the pump power and PS. We have also discussed in detail the mechanisms of both the h-shaped pulse generation and the switching of its HML. | 13 | The novel gene BrMYB2,located on chromosome A07,with a short intron 1 controls the purple-head trait of Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa L.)显示文摘Anthocyanins are important secondary metabolites in plants,but information on anthocyanin biosynthesis mechanisms in Chinese cabbage is limited.The new purple head Chinese cabbage cultivar 11S91 was analyzed,and an R2R3-MYB regulatory gene BrMYB2,located on chromosome A07,controlling the dominant purple-head trait was isolated.High expression of BrMYB2 generated a large accumulation of anthocyanins in 11S91,accompanied by highly upregulated BrTT8,BrF3′H,BrDFR1,BrANS1,BrUGTs,BrATs,and BrGSTs.11S91 inherited the purple locus from purple trait donor 95T2-5,and they shared consensus CDSs and gDNAs with those of BrMYB2(cBrMYB2 and gBrMYB2).Two SNPs in cBrMYB2 in 11S91 did not cause loss of function;in addition to several SNPs at both ends of intron 1,a large deletion had occurred in intron 1 of gBrMYB2 in 11S91.Genetic transformation of Arabidopsis showed that gBrMYB2 overexpression lines presented deeper purple color and higher expression than did the cBrMYB2 and cBrmyb2 lines,whereas gBrmyb2 with a long intron 1 did not cause the purple phenotype.We first show that BrMYB2 promotes anthocyanin biosynthesis under the control of the short intron 1 of gBrMYB2 in purple head Chinese cabbage,and gBrmyb2 with a long intron 1 represses anthocyanin production in white head Chinese cabbage.This evidence provides a new understanding of anthocyanin biosynthesis and purple germplasm generation in Brassica vegetables. | Qiong He Junqing Wu Yihua Xue Wenbin Zhao Ru Li Lugang Zhang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 4 |

| 19 | Simulation and analysis of the carrying capacity for road networks using a grid-based approach显示文摘The number of vehicles that a road network can carry is limited.When the limit is exceeded,the network system is not able to function effectively.In this paper,an updated cellular automaton model for grid networks with all-way stop-controlled intersections is proposed to simulate the network level critical density and carrying capacity under different conditions,which essentially indicates the limit number of vehicles that the network can handle before going into gridlock.In the proposed model,two update rules,including lane-changing and the longitudinal location update,are adopted to describe the vehicle’s movements on road segments according to the driving condition on the road and the vehicle’s direction in the downstream intersection.The vehicle’s movements in intersection areas are prioritized based on vehicle’s position,so as to prevent collisions within the intersection area.The simulation results show that an increase in network size is able to expand the carrying capacity of a road network,whereas the expansion rate is lower than the change rate in the network size.The carrying capacity is also associated with the structure of road network.The carrying capacity is inversely proportional to the number of intersections,and proportional to the length of the road in the network.Also,optimizing the origin-destination(O-D)distribution can increase the carrying capacity of an urban road network. | Junqing Shi Linwu Chen Fengxiang Qiao Lei Yu Qing Li Guilian Fan | 2020 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2020,7,4: | 3 |
