| 1 | Rare earth oxides and their supported noble metals in application of environmental catalysis显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs),methane,carbon monoxide,soot,automotive exhaust,and nitrogen oxides are harmful to the atmosphere and human health.It is urgent to strictly control their emissions.Heterogeneous catalysis is an effective pathway for the removal of these pollutants,and the critical issue is the development of novel and high-performance catalysts.In this review,we briefly summarize the preparation methods,physicochemical properties,catalytic activities,and related reaction mechanisms for the above pollutants removal of the rare earth oxides,mixed rare earth oxide,rare earth oxidesupported noble metal,and mixed rare earth oxide-supported noble metal catalysts that have been investigated by our group and other researchers.It was found that catalytic performance was associated with the factors,such as specific surface area,pore structure,particle size and dispersion,adsorbed oxygen species concentration,reducibility,reactant activation ability or interaction between metal nanoparticles and support.Furthermore,we also envision the development trend of such a topic in future work. | Zhiquan Hou Wenbo Pei Xing Zhang Kunfeng Zhang Yuxi Liu Jiguang Deng Lin Jing Hongxing Dai | 2020 | Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,8: | 10 |
| 2 | The Formation of the Jiaodong Gold Province显示文摘Gold deposits in Jiaodong,termed Jiaodong-type,are tectonically located in the southeastern margin of the North China Craton.Their major features are reviewed in this paper to highlight the differences between Jiaodong deposits and other genetic types of gold deposits.The mineralization was synchronized with asthenosphere upwelling indicated by synore OIB-like mafic dike and large-scale crustal thinning suggested by decrease of Sr/Y from pre-ore to syn-ore granites.Asthenosphere upwelling induced by the roll-back of Paleo-Pacific Plate drove partial melting of lithospheric mantle and devolatilization,which induced the release of the ore-forming fluids.In concomitant with magmatic records,mineralization migrated from the western Jiaobei terrane(133–127 Ma)to the eastern Sulu orogenic belt(114–108 Ma),corresponding to the eastward roll-back of Paleo-Pacific Plate.Gold mineralization in Jiaodong formed in the transitions of ductile to brittle deformation,rapid to slow crustal uplift,and regional compression to extension.In the regional-scale,the gold deposits in the Jiaobei terrane are mostly situated at intersections between NE-trending faults and EW-trending basement faults,and gold orebodies dominantly controlled by the lithologic contacts between Precambrian metamorphic rocks and Mesozoic granites.The mineralization was dominated by the disseminated-veinlet ores related to quartz–sericite alteration in strong cataclasite-breccia zone,with subsidiary thick quartz-sulfide veins developed in secondary fault zones.The ore-forming fluids belong to a H_(2)O–CO_(2)–NaCl±CH_(4)system and show minor variations in salinity among different types of ore.Structure-fluid feedback involving fluid-rock reaction and hydrofracturing triggered the fluid phase separation and resultant gold deposition.The Jiaodong gold deposits are distinct from orogenic and intrusion-related gold deposits in terms of tectonic setting,origin of ore-forming fluids,and mechanism of gold deposition. | DENG Jun WANG Qingfei LIU Xuefei ZHANG Liang YANG Liqiang YANG Lin QIU Kunfeng GUO Linnan LIANG Yayun MA Yao | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6: | 7 |
| 3 | Au-Pd/mesoporous Fe_2O_3:Highly active photocatalysts for the visible-light-driven degradation of acetone显示文摘Three-dimensionally ordered mesoporous Fe_2O_3(meso-Fe_2O_3) and its supported Au, Pd,and Au-Pd alloy(xA uP dy/meso-Fe_2O_3; x = 0.08–0.72 wt.%; Pd/Au molar ratio(y) = 1.48–1.85)photocatalysts have been prepared via the KIT-6-templating and polyvinyl alcohol-protected reduction routes, respectively. Physical properties of the samples were characterized, and their photocatalytic activities were evaluated for the photocatalytic oxidation of acetone in the presence of a small amount of H_2O_2 under visible-light illumination. It was found that the meso-Fe_2O_3 was rhombohedral in crystal structure. The as-obtained samples displayed a high surface area of 111.0–140.8 m^2/g and a bandgap energy of 1.98–2.12 eV. The Au, Pd and/or Au–Pd alloy nanoparticles(NPs) with a size of 3–4 nm were uniformly dispersed on the surface of the meso-Fe_2O_3 support. The 0.72 wt.% AuP d1.48/meso-Fe_2O_3 sample performed the best in the presence of 0.06 mol/L H_2O_2 aqueous solution, showing a 100% acetone conversion within4 hr of visible-light illumination. It was concluded that the good performance of 0.72 wt.%AuPd_(1.48)/meso-Fe_2O_3 for photocatalytic acetone oxidation was associated with its ordered mesoporous structure, high adsorbed oxygen species concentration, plasmonic resonance effect between AuPd_(1.48) NPs and meso-Fe_2O_3, and effective separation of the photogenerated charge carriers. | 4 | Metallogenetic model of Jiaodong-type gold deposits,eastern China显示文摘The genesis of giant gold provinces is an international scientific frontier,in which the source of a huge amount of gold and the drive for mineralization are key challenges.The mineralization intensity of the Jiaodong gold province in eastern China is a rare occasion in the world,because it owns gold reserves of~5500 tons within an area of less than 10,000 km^(2).The Jiaodong gold province formed in the superimposed domain of diverse tectonic regimes in an intracontinental setting.Paleoproterozoic regional peak metamorphism and Triassic continental collision are followed by the tectonic transition and gold mineralization at ca.120 Ma with time intervals of 1.9 billion years and about 100 million years,respectively.The Jiaodong gold deposits are different from orogenic and intrusion-related gold deposits in terms of the tectonic background,types of host rocks,and oreforming mechanism.These gold deposits show close spatial-temporal and genetic relationships to mafic igneous rocks,implying the derivation of ore-forming fluids from the metasomatic mantle domains.Mafic dykes in Jiaodong have negativeε_(Hf)(t)values of-29.9 to-9.1,Os content of 0.002-0.16 ppb,heavyδ^(18)O up to 8.23‰,and high initial^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratios of 0.1352-0.8858.These indicate that the lithospheric mantle was metasomatized by ancient crust-derived components.The lithospheric mantle in the western Jiaodong shows generally more enriched isotope features than that in the eastern part,which is explained to be an important reason for its huge gold resources.The mafic dykes show lighter Mg isotope characteristics(averageδ^(26)Mg of-0.33‰,n=50)and high Ca O content(overall greater than 6.5 wt%),indicating that the lithospheric mantle would also record the metasomatism by the carbonate rocks from the subducting oceanic slab.Under the background of the rollback of the subducting paleo-Pacific slab and the destruction of the North China Craton,partial melting of the lower crust would produce granitic magmas that led to the enrichment of gold in the residual crust.The syn-mineralization asthenosphere upwelling would promote the recycling of the lower crust and the partial melting of the metasomatic mantle domains.Basic magmas,produced by the partial melting,and the mantle itself would degas to form ore fluids.The ore fluids would further leach gold in the lower crust to increase its fertility.The auriferous fluids were transported to the middle to upper crust along the detachment and strike-slip faults.Water-rock interaction and fluid immiscibility,which occurred in and above the ductile-brittle transition zone to induce gold precipitation,formed the Jiaodong gold deposits.Given the unique geological features and genetic model of the Jiaodong gold deposits,they can be defined as“Jiaodong-type”gold deposits. | Jun DENG Qingfei WANG Liang ZHANG Shengchao XUE Xuefei LIU Lin YANG Liqiang YANG Kunfeng QIU Yayun LIANG | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,10: | 2 |

| 12 | Prediction of methane storage in covalent organic frameworks using big-data-mining approach显示文摘A combination of computational materials screening and machine learning(ML)technique is being adopted as a popular approach to study various materials toward application of interest.In this work,we began with high-throughput molecular simulations to calculate the methane storage(6.5 MPa)and deliverable(6.5-0.58 MPa)capacities of 404,460 covalent organic frameworks(COFs)at 298 K.Then,the full data sets with 23 features were randomly split into training and test sets in a ratio of 20:80,which were applied to evaluate the prediction abilities of several ML algorithms,including gradient boosting decision tree(GBDT),neural network(NN),support vector machine(SVM),random forest(RF)and decision tree(DT).The results indicate that the RF model has the highest prediction accuracy,which was further employed to reduce the dimension of features space and quantitatively analyze the relative importance of each feature value.The binary classification predictors built using the features with the highest influence weight can give a successful identification of top-performing candidates from the test set containing 323,168 COFs with an accuracy exceeding 96%.The deliverable capacities of the identified COFs were found to outperform those reported so far for various adsorbents.The findings may provide a useful guidance for the design and synthesis of new high-performance materials for methane storage application. | Huan Zhang Peisong Yang Duli Yu Kunfeng Wang Qingyuan Yang | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,11: | 0 |
| 13 | Enhanced photocatalytic performance of Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)with threedimensionally ordered macroporous structure for phenol removal显示文摘Herein,a series of three-dimensionally ordered macroporous(3DOM)Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)photocatalysts with different macropore sizes were successfully fabricated via a polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)template method.The photocatalytic activity for phenol degradation over 3DOM Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)first increased and then decreased with the rise in macropore size.Specifically,3DOM Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)-255(macropore diameter ca.170 nm)exhibits the best photocatalytic activity in the static system,which is about 4.5,7.3,and 11.9 times higher than those of bulk Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2),Bi_(2)WO_(6),and g-C_(3)N_(4),respectively.Meanwhile,high phenol conversion(75%)is also obtained over 3DOM Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)-255 in the flow system under full spectrum irradiation.Furthermore,3DOM Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)-255 also shows strong mineralization capacity owing to the downward shift of valance band position(0.15 V)as compared with Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2).Total organic carbon(TOC)removal rate over 3DOM Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)-255(62%)is much higher than that of Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)(17%).The enhancement in photocatalytic performance of 3DOM Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)-255 is attributable to its better phenol adsorption,O_(2)activation,and charge separation and transfer abilities.This work combines the advantages of 3D structure and surface dangling bonds,providing new possibilities for designing highly efficient photocatalysts for pollutants removal. | Kunfeng Zhang Hongxia Chen Wenbo Pei Hongxing Dai Junshan Li Yongfa Zhu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
