| 2 | A comparative study of proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat adipose-derived stem cells in β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP), forsterite (Mg_2SiO_4 ) and clinoenstatite (MgSiO_3)显示文摘In this study, the effects of forsterite and clinoenstatite powder extracts on the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) were investigated and compared with the β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) powder extracts. Methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and live-dead staining were performed to evaluate the viability and proliferation of rat ASCs. Osteogenic differentiation of rat ASCs were assayed by alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining and ALP activity test. The expression of osteogenic marker genes (alkaline phosphatase (ALP), runt related transcription factor 2 (Runx2), collagen type Iα1 (Col1α1), secreted phosphoprotein1 (Spp1, osteopontin), integrin binding sialoprotein (Ibsp), bone gla protein (Bglap)) were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The MTT assay and the live-dead staining showed that all the three ceramics possessed good cytocompatibility with rat ASCs. Furthermore, forsterite and clinoenstatite promoted the proliferation of rat ASCs compared with β-TCP. The results of the ALP activity test and the real-time PCR demonstrated that forsterite and clinoenstatite promoted the osteogenic differentiation of rat ASCs. | 4 | Effects of non-starch polysaccharides from pure wheat malt beer on beer quality,in vitro antioxidant,prebiotics,hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic properties显示文摘Pure wheat malt beer (PWMB) with potentially functional properties may attract consumer interest.To explore the functional properties of non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs) in PWMB,NSPs were extracted from PWMB and separated into PWMB non-starch polysaccharides-1 (PNSP-1) and PWMB non-starch polysaccharides-2 (PNSP-2) by Q-Sepharose Fast Flow column.PNSP-1 exhibited more effects on increasing the viscosity of beers,which had higher purity of 92.58% containing 88.53% arabinoxylan with arabinose/xylose (A/X) 0.60 and 2.78% β-glucan but no glucomannan and mannan;while PNSP-2 showed greater effects on promoting beer haze and foam retention,which had more diverse NSPs including 46.03% arabinoxylan with A/X 1.13,41.47% arabinogalactan,10.26% glucomannan,and 2.70% mannan but no β-glucan.Diversity of sugar composition resulted in a better antioxidant capacity of PNSP-2.NSPs proliferated Lactobacillus casei LC6117 and LC0331,but did not promote L.plantarum LP-28 and L.fermentium LF-2H.PNSP-2 was also utilized by L.rhamnosus SRG.PNSP-2 had better effects on prebiotics activities.PNSP,PNSP-1 and PNSP-2 all exhibited mild inhibitory effects on α-glucosidase and lipase but not on α-amylase,and showed a binding capacity to fat and cholesterol.This work is of great reference significance for improving the viscosity,haze,foam retention and health value of wheat beer. | Zhaolin Song Miaomiao Li Jinhua Du Kaili Zhang | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,47,3: | 0 |
| 5 | Mechanism Research of Electroacupuncture Stimulation at Baihui and Zusanli in Cerebral Ischemia-reperfusion Injury Using RNA-Sequencing显示文摘Background:Electroacupuncture(EA)therapy,as a combination of electric stimulation and traditional acupunc-ture technology,is currently an important mean for treatment of ischemic stroke and post-stroke rehabilitation in China.Because of its remarkable therapeutic effect,it has been widely used in hospitals and clinic,however,the detailed mechanism remains unclear.Objective:This research aims to comprehensively and systematically elucidate the mechanisms of EA treatment at the acupoints of Zusanli(ST36)and Baihui(GV20)on ischemic stroke.Methods:In this study,EA was performed twice at onset of reperfusion and 20 h after reperfusion following cerebral ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)in middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)rats,and transcriptomic changes of various molecules in ischemic hippocampal neurons of rats in Sham,I/R and EA groups were detected by RNA-Sequencing(RNA-Seq).Results:Thus,we detected 18 significantly different genes related to atherosclerosis(AS),with their functions associated with lipid metabolism,thrombosis,monocytes and vascular smooth muscle cells.And,we detected 10 significantly different genes related to oxidative stress and apoptosis and 10 significantly different genes related to calcium overload and excitatory amino acids release.Also,we detected 19 significantly different genes related to blood-brain barrier(BBB)and 22 significantly different genes related to inflammatory response.Conclusion:In conclusion,EA can play a role in treating ischemic stroke through a variety of mechanisms,affecting atherosclerosis,oxidative stress,apoptosis,calcium overload,excitatory amino acids release,blood-brain barrier(BBB)and inflammatory response. | Huanyuan Wang Xifa Xu Zekun Wang Gonglei Yue Bin Tang Qingchen Zhou Changzhen Gong Kaili Wang Guangzhong Du Yan Li | 2023 | Clinical Complementary Medicine and Pharmacology2023,3,2: | 0 |
| 6 | Fate of Parent and Substituted Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in SBR/MBBR Treatment Process:Experimental Value Against Model Prediction显示文摘The knowledge of the existence,distribution and fate of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and substituted polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(SPAHs)in wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)was vital for reducing their concentrations entering the aquatic environment.The concentrations of 13 SPAHs and 16 PAHs were all determined in a WWTP with styrene butadiene rubber(SBR)in partnership with the moving bed biofilm reactor(MBBR)process.SPAHs presented a higher concentration lever than PAHs in nearly all samples.The total removal efficiencies of PAHs and SPAHs ranged from 64.0%to 71.36%and 78.4%to 79.7%,respectively.The total yearly loads of PAHs(43.0 kg)and SPAHs(73.0 kg)were mainly reduced by the primary and SBR/MBBR biological treatment stages.The tertiary treatment stage had a minor contribution to target compounds removal.According to a synthesis and improvement fate model,we found that the dominant processes changed as the chemical octanol water partition coefficient(K_(ow))increased.But the seasonal variations of experimental removal efficiencies were more obvious than that of predicted data.In the primary sedimentation tank,dissolution in the aqueous phase and sorption to sludge/particulate matter were controlling processes for the removal of PAHs and SPAHs.The sorption to sludge and biodegradation were the principal removal mechanisms during the SBR/MBBR biological treatment process.The contribution of volatilization to removal was always insignificant.Furthermore,the basic physicochemical properties and operating parameters influenced the fate of PAHs and SPAHs in the WWTP. | ZHAO Jing TIAN Weijun LIU Shuhui QIAO Kaili DU Zhaoyang XIE Wenlong | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,2: | 0 |
