1Comparison of Pb(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) micro-interfacial adsorption on fine sediment in the Pearl River Basin, China显示文摘The complex micro-interfacial interaction theories of heavy metal ions such as Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)adsorption on fine sediment in aqueous solution were not systematically investigated.The aim of this work was to reflect the micro-interfacial adsorption characteristics.Sediment samples were collected from an estuary.The Isothermal and kinetics adsorption experiment were done to acquire the data.Isothermal,kinetics,film diffusion and intraparticle diffusion models were adopted to fit the adsorption experimental data.The results indicated that the Langmuir,Freundlich and Temkin models were suitable for analyzing the isothermal experimental data.The maximum adsorption capacities of Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)on the sediment were 1.1377 and 0.9821 mg·g-1,respectively.The qm and KL of the Langmuir model,Kf and nF of the Freundlich model,and b and A of the Temkin model all exhibited a power function relationship with the initial adsorbate concentration.The pseudo-second-order model provided a better fit for the experimental kinetics data compared with the fit of the pseudo-first-order and Elovich models.The pseudo-second-order parameters k2 and qe of Pb(Ⅱ)and qe of Cd(Ⅱ)both had a power function relationship with adsorption time,additionally,the k2 of Cd(Ⅱ)had an exponential function relationship with adsorption time.The liquid-film diffusion parameters kfd of Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)were 0.0569 and 0.1806 min1,respectively.The intraparticle diffusion parameter kid values of Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)were 0.0055 mg$g1$min1/2 and 0.0049 mg$g1$min1/2,respectively.The physical significance of the model parameters showed that Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption on sediment was stronger than Cd(Ⅱ).The results of this study provided a theoretical reference for the micro-interfacial mechanism of heavy metal ion adsorption on sediment.Qunsheng Fang Zhihe Chen Jianpeng Zheng Zhihua Zhu 2021International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,3:5

3A novel cryogenic insulation system of hollow glass microspheres and self-evaporation vapor-cooled shield for liquid hydrogen storage显示文摘Liquid hydrogen(LH2)attracts widespread attention because of its highest energy storage density.However,evaporation loss is a serious problem in LH2 storage due to the low boiling point(20 K).Efficient insulation technology is an important issue in the study of LH2 storage.Hollow glass microspheres(HGMs)is a potential promising thermal insulation material because of its low apparent thermal conductivity,fast installation(Compared with multi-layer insulation,it can be injected in a short time.),and easy maintenance.A novel cryogenic insulation system consisting of HGMs and a selfevaporating vapor-cooled shield(VCS)is proposed for storage of LH2.A thermodynamic model has been established to analyze the coupled heat transfer characteristics of HGMs and VCS in the composite insulation system.The results show that the combination of HGMs and VCS can effectively reduce heat flux into the LH2 tank.With the increase of VCS number from 1 to 3,the minimum heat flux through HGMs decreases by 57.36%,65.29%,and 68.21%,respectively.Another significant advantage of HGMs is that their thermal insulation properties are not sensitive to ambient vacuum change.When ambient vacuum rises from 10^-3 Pa to 1 Pa,the heat flux into the LH2 tank increases by approximately 20%.When the vacuum rises from 10^-3 Pa to 100 Pa,the combination of VCS and HGMs reduces the heat flux into the tank by 58.08%-69.84% compared with pure HGMs.Jianpeng ZHENG Liubiao CHEN Ping WANG Jingjie ZHANG Junjie WANG Yuan ZHOU 2020Frontiers in Energy2020,14,3:3
4Immune response triggered by the ablation of hepatocellular carcinoma with nanosecond pulsed electric field显示文摘Nanosecond pulsed electric field(nsPEF)is a novel,nonthermal,and minimally invasive modality that can ablate solid tumors by inducing apoptosis.Recent animal experiments show that nsPEF can induce the immunogenic cell death of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and stimulate the host’s immune response to kill residual tumor cells and decrease distant metastatic tumors.nsPEF-induced immunity is of great clinical importance because the nonthermal ablation may enhance the immune memory,which can prevent HCC recurrence and metastasis.This review summarized the most advanced research on the effect of nsPEF.The possible mechanisms of how locoregional nsPEF ablation enhances the systemic anticancer immune responses were illustrated.nsPEF stimulates the host immune system to boost stimulation and prevail suppression.Also,nsPEF increases the dendritic cell loading and inhibits the regulatory responses,thereby improving immune stimulation and limiting immunosuppression in HCC-bearing hosts.Therefore,nsPEF has excellent potential for HCC treatment.Jianpeng Liu Xinhua Chen Shusen Zheng 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,2:2
5Dynamics of Anchor Last Deployment of Submersible Buoy System显示文摘Submersible buoy systems are widely used for oceanographic research,ocean engineering and coastal defense.Severe sea environment has obvious effects on the dynamics of submersible buoy systems.Huge tension can occur and may cause the snap of cables,especially during the deployment period.This paper studies the deployment dynamics of submersible buoy systems with numerical and experimental methods.By applying the lumped mass approach,a three-dimensional multi-body model of submersible buoy system is developed considering the hydrodynamic force,tension force and impact force between components of submersible buoy system and seabed.Numerical integration method is used to solve the differential equations.The simulation output includes tension force,trajectory,profile and dropping location and impact force of submersible buoys.In addition,the deployment experiment of a simplified submersible buoy model was carried out.The profile and different nodes' velocities of the submersible buoy are obtained.By comparing the results of the two methods,it is found that the numerical model well simulates the actual process and conditions of the experiment.The simulation results agree well with the results of the experiment such as gravity anchor's location and velocities of different nodes of the submersible buoy.The study results will help to understand the conditions of submersible buoy's deployment,operation and recovery,and can be used to guide the design and optimization of the system.ZHENG Zhongqiang XU Jianpeng HUANG Peng WANG Lei YANG Xiaoguang CHANG Zongyu 2016Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,1:1

9Turning weak into strong: on the CTAB-induced active surface growth显示文摘Discovering new methods and principles in the inequivalent growth of equivalent facets is of great significance for going beyond symmetrical nanocrystals and for out-of-box exploration. In this work, we demonstrate that a middle ground exists between the traditional weak ligands and the strong ligands with unusual growth modes. By modifying the seed concentration during the growth of pentagonal Au nanorods, the typical weak ligand cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) is made strong, leading to notches of restricted growth and even the active surface growth mode. In-depth investigation in the link between growth kinetics and ligand packing reveals the principle of their interplay —— that the on-off dynamics of the ligands only allows for a certain limit of materials deposition rate. Beyond this limit, the growth materials build up and are then diverted elsewhere, leading to inequivalent growth. The fact that a freshly grown surface has few ligands promotes the active surface growth, focusing the growth materials onto a few sites. 10Qianjin Wenwu decoction suppresses renal interstitial fibrosis by enhancing the degradation of extracellular matrix in mice with unilateral ureteral obstruction显示文摘Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)is the most common complication of diabetes mellitus(DM).Qianjin Wenwu decoction(QWD),a well-known traditional Korean medicine,has been used for the treatment of DKD,with satisfactory therapeutic effects.This study was designed to investigate the active components and mechanisms of action of QWD in the treatment of DKD.The results demonstrated that a total of 13 active components in five types were found in QwD,including flavonoids,flavonoid glycosides,phenylpropionic acids,saponins,coumarins,and lignins.Two key proteins,TGF-β1 and TIMP-1,were identified as the target proteins through molecular docking.Furthermore,QWD significantly suppressed Scr and BUN levels which increased after unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO).Hematoxylin&eosin(H&E)and Masson staining results demonstrated that QWD significantly alleviated renal interstitial fibrosis in UUO mice.We also found that QWD promoted ECM degradation by regulating MMP-9/TIMP-1 homeostasis to improve renal tubulointerstitial fibrosis and interfere with the expression and activity of TGF-βl in DKD treatment.These findings explain the underlying mechanism of QWD for the treatment of DKD,and also provide methodological reference for investigating the mechanism of traditional medicine in the treatment of DKD.JIN Chengshan WU Xiaotian YOU Yue WANG Yuing WU Jing ZUO Along ZHENG Yan GUO Jianpeng 2023Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,4:0

13MOF-derived Se doped MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) as cathode and Zn-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) membrane as anode for rocking-chair zinc-ion battery显示文摘Mn-based zinc ion battery has the advantages of low cost and high performance,which makes it the promising energy storage system.However,the poor conductivity and the agglomeration in the synthesis process of manganese-based materials restrict the performance of batteries.Herein,the Se-doped MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))composite material derived from Mn-based metal-organic framework is reported.Electrochemical tests show that Se-doped could generate S defects and enhance the electrochemical activity of MnS.At the same time,the introduction of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) substrate is conducive to exposing more sulfur defects and improving the utilization rate of defects.In the mechanism study,it is found that Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) is transformed into S/Se co-doped Mn3O_(4) at the first charge,which innovatively elucidated the behavior of S/Se during activation.In the electrochemical performance test,the specific capacity can reach 74.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 5.0 A·g^(-1).In addition,the Zn-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) membrane electrode is prepared by vacuum filtration as the zinc-poor anode,which is assembled into the rocking chair full battery to avoid dendrite growth and exhibit excellent rate performance.The addition of Zn2+weakens the electrostatic repulsion between the interlayers of MXene,and the formation of the folded morphology aids the penetration of the electrolyte.At 1.0 A·g^(-1),the capacity can reach 50.6 mAh·g^(-1).This work is helpful to promote the research and development of the reaction mechanism of manganese based rocking chair batteries.Kaisheng Sun Zemao Xiao Yunfei Shen Heng Lv Jianpeng Zhu Jianxiang Pang Yang Zheng Wenwen Kong Long Chen 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
14A Prediction Method for △f_0F_(2min) of a Single Station From Interplanetary Parameters Based on Statistical Study显示文摘Using 86 CME-interplanetary shock events,the correlation between the peak values of (a) the solar wind parameters(B_z,E_y,P_(dyn)) and the geomagnetic indices(SYM-H,ASY-H,Kp), (b) the coupling functions(Borovsky,Akasofu,Newell) and the geomagnetic indices,(c) the solar wind parameters/coupling functions/geomagnetic indices and the ionospheric parameter(Δf_0F_(2min)), are investigated.The statistical results show that in group(a),B_(z min) and SYM-H_(min) have the best correlation,that in group(b),the best correlation is between the peak values of Akasofu function (A_(min)) and SYM-H_(min),and that in group(c),the best correlation is between K_(pmax) andΔf_0F_(2min). Based on the statistical results,a method for predicting f_0F_2 of a single station is attempted to be set up.The input is modified B_(z min) and the outputs are SYM-H_(min) andΔf_0F_(2min).Then 25 CME-IPS events that caused geomagnetic storms in 1998 and 2009 are used to check the prediction method.
