| 1 | A Chromosome-Level Genome Assembly of Garlic (Allium sativum) Provides Insights into Genome Evolution and Allicin Biosynthesis显示文摘Garlic,an economically important vegetable, spice, and medicinal crop, produces highly enlarged bulbs and unique organosulfur compounds. Here,we report a chromosome-level genome assembly for garlic, with a total size of approximately 16.24 Gb,as well as the annotation of 57561 predicted protein-coding genes, making garlic the first Allium species with a sequenced genome.Analysis of this garlic genome assembly reveals a recent burst of transposable elements, explaining the substantial expansion of the garlic genome. We examined the evolution of certain genes associated with the biosynthesis of allicin and inulin neoseries-type fructans, and provided new insights into the biosynthesis of these two compounds.Furthermore,a large-scale transcriptome was produced to characterize the expression patterns of garlic genes in different tissues and at various growth stages of enlarged bulbs. The reference genome and large-scale transcriptome data generated in this study provide valuable new resources for research on garlic biology and breeding. | Xiudong Sun Siyuan Zhu Ningyang Li Yi Cheng Jing Zhao Xuguang Qiao Li Lu Shiqi Liu Yanzhou Wang Chan Liu Benping Li Wu Guo Shuang Gao Zemao Yang Fu Li Zheng Zeng Qing Tang Yupeng Pan Mengjiao Guan Jian Zhao Xiaomi ng Lu Huanwe n Meng Zhenlin Han Chun she ng Gao Wenkai Jiang Xing Zhao Shilin Tian Jianguang Su Zhihui Cheng Touming Liu | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,9: | 14 |

| 3 | A multichannel neural signal detecting module:Its design and test in animal experiments显示文摘A four-channel neural signal detecting module with an implantable 12-contact cuff electrode was designed for real-time neural signal recording on peripheral and central nerves. The mathematic coupling model between nerve and electronic system was analyzed. Electrode connection configurations were considered. The detecting circuit included an input coupling network, a pre-amplifier, and some filtering and notching stages. Shield guarding and the right-leg-driven circuit were developed for further elimination of common mode interference. By electrode switches, the module could cooperate with a nerve functional electrical stimulation circuit, building a neural channel bridge-connection system. It was tested by recording experiments on rat’s sciatic and spine nerves. The signals in spontaneous and evoked conditions have been captured successfully. In addition, an implantable neural signal detecting CMOS IC has been introduced. | Wang Yufeng Wang Zhigong Lu Xiaoying Gu Xiaosong Li Wenyuan Wang Huiling Jiang Zhenlin Lu Guangming K. P. | 4 | A non-ACE2 competing human single-domain antibody confers broad neutralization against SARS-CoV-2 and circulating variants显示文摘The current COVID-19 pandemic has heavily burdened the global public health system and may keep simmering for years. The frequent emergence of immune escape variants have spurred the search for prophylactic vaccines and therapeutic antibodies that confer broad protection against SARS-CoV-2 variants. Here we show that the bivalency of an affinity maturated fully human singledomain antibody(n3113.1-Fc)exhibits exquisite neutralizing potency against SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus, and confers effective prophylactic and therapeutic protection against authentic SARS-CoV-2 in the host cell receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)humanized mice. The crystal structure of n3113 in complex with the receptor-binding domain(RBD)of SARS-CoV-2,combined with the cryo-EM structures of n3113 and spike ecto-domain,reveals that n3113 binds to the side surface of up-state RBD with no competition with ACE2.The binding of n3113 to this novel epitope stabilizes spike in up-state conformations but inhibits SARS-CoV-2 S mediated membrane fusion, expanding our recognition of neutralization by antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.Binding assay and pseudovirus neutralization assay show no evasion of recently prevalent SARS-CoV-2 lineages, including Alpha(B.1.1.7),Beta(B.1.351),Gamma(P.1),and Delta(B.1.617.2)for n3113.1-Fc with Y58L mutation, demonstrating the potential of n3113.1-Fc(Y58L)as a promising candidate for clinical development to treat COVID-19. | Zhenlin Yang Yulu Wang Yujia Jin Yuanfei Zhu Yanling Wu Cheng Li Yu Kong Wenping Song Xiaolong Tian Wuqiang Zhan Ailing Huang Shanshan Zhou Shuai Xia Xiaoxu Tian Chao Peng Cuicui Chen Yibing Shi Gaowei Hu Shujuan Du Yuyan Wang Youhua Xie Shibo Jiang Lu Lu Lei Sun Yuanlin Song Tianlei Ying | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,12: | 1 |
| 5 | Numerical Simulation for Moving Contact Line with Continuous Finite Element Schemes显示文摘In this paper,we compute a phase field(diffuse interface)model of CahnHilliard type for moving contact line problems governing the motion of isothermal multiphase incompressible fluids. The generalized Navier boundary condition proposed by Qian et al.[1]is adopted here.We discretize model equations using a continuous finite element method in space and a modified midpoint scheme in time.We apply a penalty formulation to the continuity equation which may increase the stability in the pressure variable. Two kinds of immiscible fluids in a pipe and droplet displacement with a moving contact line under the effect of pressure driven shear flow are studied using a relatively coarse grid.We also derive the discrete energy law for the droplet displacement case, which is slightly different due to the boundary conditions. The accuracy and stability of the scheme are validated by examples, results and estimate order. | Yongyue Jiang Ping Lin Zhenlin Guo Shuangling Dong | 2015 | Communications in Computational Physics2015,18,6: | 0 |
