1Distributed processing based fault location,isolation,and service restoration method for active distribution network显示文摘Active distribution network(ADN)is a solution for power system with interconnection of distributed energy resources(DER),which may change the network operation and power flow of traditional power distribution network.However,in some circumstances the malfunction of protection and feeder automation in distribution network occurs due to the uncertain bidirectional power flow.Therefore,a novel method of fault location,isolation,and service restoration(FLISR)for ADN based on distributed processing is proposed in this paper.The differential-activated algorithm based on synchronous sampling for feeder fault location and isolation is studied,and a framework of fault restoration is established for ADN.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified via computer simulation of a case study for active distributed power system.Jiaming WENG Dong LIU Ning LUO Xueyong TANG 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,4:16
2Highly expressed BMP9/GDF2 in postnatal mouse liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on stem cell differentiation,angiogenesis,tumor growth and metabolism显示文摘Bone morphogenetic protein 9(BMP9)(or GDF2)was originally identified from fetal mouse liver cDNA libraries.Emerging evidence indicates BMP9 exerts diverse and pleiotropic functions during postnatal development and in maintaining tissue homeostasis.However,the expression landscape of BMP9 signaling during development and/or in adult tissues remains to be analyzed.Here,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the expression landscape of BMP9 and its signaling mediators in postnatal mice.By analyzing mouse ENCODE transcriptome datasets we found Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and detectable in embryonic brain,adult lungs and adult placenta.We next conducted a comprehensive qPCR analysis of RNAs isolated from major mouse tissues/organs at various ages.We found that Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and lung tissues of young adult mice,but decreased in older mice.Interestingly,Bmp9 was only expressed at low to modest levels in developing bones.BMP9-associated TGFβ/BMPR type I receptor Alk1 was highly expressed in the adult lungs.Furthermore,the feedback inhibitor Smads Smad6 and Smad7 were widely expressed in mouse postnatal tissues.However,the BMP signaling antagonist noggin was highly expressed in fat and heart in the older age groups,as well as in kidney,liver and lungs in a biphasic fashion.Thus,our findings indicate that the circulating BMP9 produced in liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on postnatal tissues/organs although possible roles of BMP9 signaling in liver and lungs remain to be fully understood.Wei Liu Zhongliang Deng Zongyue Zeng Jiaming Fan Yixiao Feng Xi Wang Daigui Cao Bo Zhang Lijuan Yang Bin Liu Mikhail Pakvasa William Wagstaff Xiaoxing Wu Huaxiu Luo Jing Zhang Meng Zhang Fang He Yukun Mao Huiming Ding Yongtao Zhang Changchun Niu Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Michael J.Lee Wei Huang Tong-Chuan He Yulong Zou 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,2:9
3Large-Scale Test Model of the Progressive Deformation and Failure of Cracked Soil Slopes显示文摘A large-scale test bed(LWH=6 m×3 m×2.8 m)instrumented with various sensors is used to examine the effects of rainfall infiltration and evaporation on the deformation and failure of cracked soil slopes,taking the Anhui area along the Yangtze River as a field example.The results indicate that(1)during rainfall,the soil around the shallow shrinkage fissures attains transient saturation,and the attendant decrease of matric suction is the primary cause of the shallow slope failure;(2)slope deformation continues during post-rainfall evaporation;(3)if a period of evaporation is followed by heavy rainfall,soil creep is concentrated near the deepest cracks,and two zones of steep gradients in pore pressure form at the crest and toe of the slope.Finally,a saturated zone forms near each crack base and gradually enlarges,eventually forming a continuous saturated layer that induces the slope instability or failure.Zhi Zhou Jiaming Zhang Fulong Ning Yi Luo Lily Chong Kuangbiao Sun 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,6:3
4The nucleocapsid protein of rice stripe virus in cell nuclei of vector insect regulates viral replication显示文摘Rice stripe virus(RSV)transmitted by the small brown planthopper causes severe rice yield losses in Asian countries.Although viral nuclear entry promotes viral replication in host cells,whether this phenomenon occurs in vector cells remains unknown.Therefore,in this study,we systematically evaluated the presence and roles of RSV in the nuclei of vector insect cells.We observed that the nucleocapsid protein(NP)and viral genomic RNAs were partially transported into vector cell nuclei by utilizing the importin a nuclear transport system.When blocking NP nuclear localization,cytoplasmic RSV accumulation significantly increased.In the vector cell nuclei,NP bound the transcription factor YY1 and affected its positive regulation to FAIM.Subsequently,decreased FAIM expression triggered an antiviral caspase-dependent apoptotic reaction.Our results reveal that viral nuclear entry induces completely different immune effects in vector and host cells,providing new insights into the balance between viral load and the immunity pressure in vector insects.Wan Zhao Junjie Zhu Hong Lu Jiaming Zhu Fei Jiang Wei Wang Lan Luo Le Kang Feng Cui 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,5:2

6Influence of imidazole derivatives on the dielectric and energy storage performance of epoxy显示文摘Imidazoles are widely used as curing agents and accelerators for fabricating crosslinked epoxy materials applied in electrical and electronic fields.However,the intrinsic chemical structure of imidazole derivatives would greatly influence the polymerisation process,and further change the electrical properties,which was not emphasised.To achieve an in-depth understanding,commonly used imidazole only containing pyridine-type nitrogen and imidazole with both pyridine and pyrrole-type nitrogen were selected in this study.Electrical properties including dielectric properties,volume resistivity,breakdown strength,and especially energy storage performances were systematically investigated.We figured out that higher breakdown strength,glass transition temperature,and lower dielectric loss can be achieved with imidazole containing pyrrole-type nitrogen.Structure-induced curing mechanism diversity and the generated differences in polymer network were highlighted.With the capability to incorporate into the polymer network,the dielectric constant/loss of epoxy cured by imidazole containing pyrrole-type nitrogen is less sensitive with variation in concentration and a high breakdown strength of 577.9 MV/m was achieved.On the contrary,conspicuous decrease in the breakdown strength and increase in dielectric loss of the epoxy cured by imidazole only containing pyridine-type nitrogen were observed,especially at high concentration.Moreover,we also found that the epoxy can be fabricated into films with an attractive energy storage density/efficiency of 1.1 J/cm^(3)/97%@200 MV/m,which is twice of the commercial dielectric polypropylene film under the same electric field.Jiaming Luo Lei Zhang Wenjie Sun Jiale Mao Yiting Zheng Shuang Wang Ziqi Zhang Yingxin Chen Yonghong Cheng 2022High Voltage2022,7,4:1

8Bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) promotes hepatic glycogen accumulation and reduces glucose level in hepatocytes through mTORC2 signaling pathway显示文摘Liver is an important organ for regulating glucose and lipid metabolism.Recent studies have shown that bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs)may play important roles in regu-lating glucose and lipid metabolism.Inour previous studies,we demonstrated that BMP4 signif-icantly inhibits hepatic steatosis and lowers serum triglycerides,playing a protective role against the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).However,the direct impact of BMP4 on hepatic glucose metabolism is poorly understood.Here,we investigated the regulatory roles of BMP4 in hepatic glucose metabolism.Through a comprehensive analysis of the 14 types of BMPs,we found that BMP4 was one of the most potent BMPs in promoting hepatic glycogen accumulation,reducing the level of glucose in hepatocytes and effecting the expression of genes related to glucose metabolism.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that BMP4 reduced the hepatic glucose lewels through the activation of mTORC2 signaling pathway in vitro and in wivo.Collectively,our findings strongly suggest that BMP4 may play an essential role in regulating hepatic glucose metabolism.This knowledge should aid us to understand the molecular pathogenesis of NAFLD,and may lead to the development of novel therapeutics by exploiting the inhibitory effects of BMPs on hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism.Liqin An Qiong Shi Ying Zhu Hao Wang Qi Peng Jinghong Wu Yu Cheng Wei Zhang Yanyu Yi Zihao Bao Hui Zhang Yetao Luo Jiaming Fan 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,4:1
9An Elliptic Centerness for Object Instance Segmentation in Aerial Images显示文摘Instance segmentation in aerial images is an important and challenging task.Most of the existing methods have adapted instance segmentation algorithms developed for natural images to aerial images.However,these methods easily suffer from performance degradation in aerial images,due to the scale variations,large aspect ratios,and arbitrary orientations of instances caused by the bird’s-eye view of aerial images.To address this issue,we propose an elliptic centerness(EC)for instance segmentation in aerial images,which can assign the proper centerness values to the intricate aerial instances and thus mitigate the performance degradation.Specifically,we introduce ellipses to fit the various contours of aerial instances and measure these fitted ellipses by two-dimensional anisotropic Gaussian distribution.Armed with EC,we develop a one-stage aerial instance segmentation network.Extensive experiments on a commonly used dataset,the instance segmentation in aerial images dataset(iSAID),demonstrate that our proposed method can achieve a remarkable performance of instance segmentation while introducing negligible computational cost.Yixin Luo Jiaming Han Zhou Liu Mi Wang Gui-Song Xia 2022Journal of Remote Sensing2022,,1:0
10Influence of edaravone on Notch1 and nuclear factor-kappaB in rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘BACKGROUND: It has been demonstrated that edaravone has a a neuroprotective role, inhibits free radical increase, and reduces cell apoptosis. The Notch pathway is a key factor in neurogenesis and cellular apoptosis. The proinflammatory transcription factor nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB) plays an important role in inflam- mation and oxidation. OBJECTIVE: To observe the influence of edaravone on Notch1 and NF-κB mRNA and protein expression in rats with focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: This randomized controlled neural and molecular biology experiment was performed at the Department of Neurology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical Univer- sity, and the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Neurology between July 2007 and May 2008. MATERIALS: Thirty female Wistar rats were used. Edaravone was purchased from Jiangsu Xiansheng Pharmaceutical Limited Company, China. METHODS: Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups (n = 6). Thread was inserted into the inter- nal carotid artery of the sham operation group but the middle cerebral artery was not ligated. A focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion model was established by inserting thread into the right middle cerebral artery. The model rats in the edaravone groups were given tail vein injections of edaravone at 3 mg/kg body weight after ischemia for 2 hours and reperfusion for 12 or 24 hours. Ischemia/reperfusion groups (model group) received intravenous infusion of normal saline at the same volume as the edaravone groups after ischemia for 2 hours and reperfusion for 12 or 24 hours. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The volume of the ischemic region was measured by 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining. Notch1 and NF-κB protein and mRNA expression were meas- ured by immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR. Protein expression was represented by the absorbance value. RESULTS: Edaravone greatly reduced the focal infarct volume. Notch1 and NF-κB protein and mRNA ex- pression were rapidly upregulated following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in model and edaravone groups compared with the sham operation group (P < 0.01). In addition, edaravone treatment significantly upregulated Notch1 expression but down-regulated NF-κB expression compared with model groups (P < 0.01). 12The influence of MBE and device structure on the electrical properties of GaAs HEMT biosensors显示文摘High electron mobility transistors(HEMT) have the potential to be used as high-sensitivity and realtime biosensors. HEMT biosensors have great market prospects. For the application of HEMT biosensors, the electric properties consistency of the inter-chip performance have an important influence on the stability and repeatability of the detection. In this research, we fabricated GaAs/AlGaAs HEMT biosensors of different epitaxial structures and device structures to study the electric properties consistency. We study the relationship between channel size and consistency. We investigated the distribution of device current with location on 2 inch GaAs wafer. 13Mechanisms of PiT2-loop7 Missense Mutations Induced Pi Dyshomeostasis显示文摘PiT2 is an inorganic phosphate(Pi)transporter whose mutations are linked to primary familial brain calcification(PFBC).PiT2 mainly consists of two ProDom(PD)domains and a large intracellular loop region(loop7).The PD domains are crucial for the Pi transport,but the role of PiT2-loop7 remains unclear.In PFBC patients,mutations in PiT2-loop7 are mainly nonsense or frameshift mutations that probably cause PFBC due to C-PD1131 deletion.To date,six missense mutations have been identified in PiT2-loop7;however,the mechanisms by which these mutations cause PFBC are poorly understood.Here,we found that the p.T390A and p.S434W mutations in PiT2-loop7 decreased the Pi transport activity and cell surface levels of PiT2.Furthermore,we showed that these two mutations attenuated its membrane localization by affecting adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK)-or protein kinase B(AKT)-mediated PiT2 phosphorylation.In contrast,the p.S121C and p.S601W mutations in the PD domains did not affect PiT2 phosphorylation but rather impaired its substrate-binding abilities.These results suggested that missense mutations in PiT2-loop7 can cause Pi dyshomeostasis by affecting the phosphorylation-regulated cell-surface localization of PiT2.This study helps understand the pathogenesis of PFBC caused by PiT2-loop7 missense mutations and indicates that increasing the phosphorylation levels of PiT2-loop7 could be a promising strategy for developing PFBC therapies.Hao Sun Xuan Xu Junyu Luo Tingbin Ma Jiaming Cui Mugen Liu Bo Xiong Shujia Zhu Jing-Yu Liu 2023Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,1:0
14Automatic and Robust Segmentation of Multiple Sclerosis Lesions with Convolutional Neural Networks显示文摘The diagnosis of multiple sclerosis(MS)is based on accurate detection of lesions on magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)which also provides ongoing essential information about the progression and status of the disease.Manual detection of lesions is very time consuming and lacks accuracy.Most of the lesions are difficult to detect manually,especially within the grey matter.This paper proposes a novel and fully automated convolution neural network(CNN)approach to segment lesions.The proposed system consists of two 2D patchwise CNNs which can segment lesions more accurately and robustly.The first CNN network is implemented to segment lesions accurately,and the second network aims to reduce the false positives to increase efficiency.The system consists of two parallel convolutional pathways,where one pathway is concatenated to the second and at the end,the fully connected layer is replaced with CNN.Three routine MRI sequences T1-w,T2-w and FLAIR are used as input to the CNN,where FLAIR is used for segmentation because most lesions on MRI appear as bright regions and T1-w&T2-w are used to reduce MRI artifacts.We evaluated the proposed system on two challenge datasets that are publicly available from MICCAI and ISBI.Quantitative and qualitative evaluation has been performed with various metrics like false positive rate(FPR),true positive rate(TPR)and dice similarities,and were compared to current state-of-the-art methods.The proposed method shows consistent higher precision and sensitivity than other methods.The proposed method can accurately and robustly segment MS lesions from images produced by different MRI scanners,with a precision up to 90%.H.M.Rehan Afzal Suhuai Luo Saadallah Ramadan Jeannette Lechner-Scott Mohammad Ruhul Amin Jiaming Li M.Kamran Afzal M.Kamran Afzal 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,1:0

16Killing two birds with one stone:Constructing tri-elements doped and hollow-structured carbon sphere by a single template for advanced potassium-ion hybrid capacitors显示文摘Integrating the merits of long lifespan and excellent energy as well as power densities,potassium-ion hybrid capacitors(PIHCs)exhibit great prospects for future energy storage devices.To boost comprehensive performance of PIHCs,heteroatom-doping and morphology-tuning as two comprehensive strategies have been devoted to designing uniquely structural carbon-based materials with favorable advantages.An ideal strategy for simultaneous atomic doping and structural regulation is expected to be developed.Herein,we propose a novel'Killing Two Birds with One Stone'strategy to prepare a tri-elements doped hollow carbon sphere(TED-HCS)as PIHCs anodes,that is,a single template of spherical CoP particles is rationally adopted,which not only provides both a P source for heteroatom-doping but also acts as a selfsacrificial template for hollow-structure engineering.The multifunctional TED-HCS presents a high capacity of 473.0 mAh g^(-1) and excellent rate performance of 212.5 mAh g^(-1) at 5.0 A g^(-1).Remarkably,the as-assembled PIHCs show outstanding energy/power density(40.4 Wh kg^(-1)/10500 W kg^(-1))and remain high-capacity retention of 89.15%even cycling 12,000 times.The'Killing Two Birds with One Stone'strategy offers new insight into the search for the preparation of carbon-based materials with multi-elements doping and specific morphology structure.Jiafeng Ruan Yahui Zhao Sainan Luo Jiaming Hu Yuepeng Pang Fang Fang Shiyou Zheng 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:0
17Effects of parenteral nutrition with and without GH on the GH/IGF-1 axis after hepatectomy in hepatocellular carcinoma with liver cirrhosis显示文摘Postoperative hepatic insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)production may be severely disturbed in patients with liver cirrhosis.Complex alterations in the GH/IGF-1 axis are thought to play an important role in the protein catabolism that complicates major surgical procedures.The aim of this study was to explore the effects of parenteral nutrition(PN)with and without growth hormone(GH)on the GH/IGF-1 axis after hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with cirrhosis and evaluate the potential roles of recombinant human GH(rhGH)therapy.Twenty-four patients with HCC with cirrhosis who underwent hepatectomy were randomly divided into two groups:a PN group(n=12)and an rhGH+PN group(n=12).Liver function,serum GH,IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 were measured before the operation and at postoperative days(POD)1 and 6.Insulin-like growth factor-1 and IGFBP-3 mRNA in the liver tissue was detected by RT-PCR.The liver Ki67 immunohistochemistry staining was studied.At the same time,12 patients with cholelithiasis or liver hemangioma who underwent operation served as normal control group.On POD 6,serum prealbumin,GH,IGF-1,IGFBP-3,hepatic IGF-1 mRNA,IGFBP-3 mRNA and liver Ki67 LI were higher in the rhGH+PN group than in the PN group.There was no significant difference in the 6-and 12-month tumor-free survival rate and the median tumor-free survival time between the PN group and the rhGH+PN group(P>0.05).These data indicate that rhGH+PN could ameliorate the changes in the GH/IGF-1 axis after hepatectomy for HCC in the setting of cirrhosis.CAO Jie LUO Shimin LIANG Lijian LAI Jiaming CHEN Shanming 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,3:0

19Thermal stability analysis of a satellite-borne optical bench based on quasi-kinematic support显示文摘Macao Science Satellite-1(known as MSS-1)is a low-inclination mission that will be launched at the beginning of 2023.An optical bench is used for accessing high-precision strength and direction measurements of the magnetic field.In this paper,we present a thermal stability design for the optical bench based on quasi-kinematic support by kinematic hinges on the MSS-1.The change in angles with the finite element method(FEM)model modified by thermal deformation test data is analyzed.The robustness of the structure is also investigated via the Monte Carlo method.Two main results are obtained.First,the peak-to-peak value(Vp-p)of the inter-boresight angle is at most 1.24″,and the Vp-p of the inter-boresight angle modification and analysis is no more than 3.13″,both of which are better than those on the Swarm satellites in orbit.Second,the 90°fibers of the carbon-reinforced arm need to be strictly controlled during the technological process.Huan Zhang ChunYu Yu Le Suo WenBo Luo Ding Yuan JiaMing Ou 2023Earth and Planetary Physics2023,7,1:0
