2Rheological and Structural Properties of Sea Cucumber Stichopus japonicus During Heat Treatment显示文摘Changes in tissue structure, rheological properties and water content of raw and heated sea cucumber meat werestudied. Sea cucumber Stichopus japonicus was heated at 25°C, 70°C and 100 °C water for 5 min. The structural changeswere observed using a light microscope and the rheological parameters (rupture strength, adhesive strength and deformation)determined using a texture meter. Microscopic photograph revealed that the structural change of heated meat was greaterthan that of raw meat. The rupture strength, adhesive strength and deformation of raw meat were smaller than those of theheated meat. Meanwhile, rheological parameters showed positive correlation with heating temperature. These changes aremainly caused by thermal denaturation and gelatinization of collagen during heating. 3Application of nanoparticle tracking analysis for characterising the fate of engineered nanoparticles in sediment-water systems显示文摘Novel applications of nanotechnology may lead to the release of engineered nanoparticles(ENPs), which result in concerns over their potential environmental hazardous impact. It is essential for the research workers to be able to quantitatively characterise ENPs in the environment and subsequently to assist the risk assessment of the ENPs. This study hence explored the application of nanoparticle tracking system(NTA) to quantitatively describe the behaviour of the ENPs in natural sediment-water systems. The NTA allows the measurement of both particle number concentration(PNC) and particle size distribution(PSD) of the ENPs. The developed NTA method was applied to a range of gold and magnetite ENPs with a selection of surface properties. The results showed that the positively-charged ENPs interacted more strongly with the sediment than neutral and negatively-charged ENPs. It was also found that the citrate coated Au ENPs had a higher distribution percentage(53%) than 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid coated Au ENPs(20%) and citrate coated magnetite ENPs(21%). 5Responses of ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms to biochar and compost amendments of heavy metals-polluted soil显示文摘Heavy metal pollution affects soil ecological function.Biochar and compost can effectively remediate heavy metals and increase soil nutrients.The effects and mechanisms of biochar and compost amendments on soil nitrogen cycle function in heavy-metal contaminated soils are not fully understood.This study examined how biochar,compost,and their integrated use affected ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms in heavy metal polluted soil.Quantitative PCR was used to determine the abundance of ammonia-oxidizing archaea(AOA)and bacteria(AOB).Ammonia monooxygenase(AMO)activity was evaluated by the enzymelinked immunosorbent assay.Results showed that compost rather than biochar improved nitrogen conversion in soil.Biochar,compost,or their integrated application significantly reduced the effective Zn and Cd speciation.Adding compost obviously increased As and Cu effective speciation,bacterial 16 S rRNA abundance,and AMO activity.AOB,stimulated by compost addition,was significantly more abundant than AOA throughout remediation.Correlation analysis showed that AOB abundance positively correlated with NO_(3)^(-)-N(r=0.830,P<0.01),and that AMO activity had significant correlation with EC(r=-0.908,P<0.01)and water-soluble carbon(r=-0.868,P<0.01).Those seem to be the most vital factors affecting AOB community and their function in heavy metal-polluted soil remediated by biochar and compost.Mingyue Li Jiachao Zhang Xiao Yang Yaoyu Zhou Lihua Zhang Yuan Yang Lin Luo Qingyun Yan 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:5

7Effects of different carbon sources on the removal of ciprofloxacin and pollutants by activated sludge:Mechanism and biodegradation显示文摘This research investigated the effects of ciprofloxacin(CIP)(0.5,5,and 20 mg/L)on SBR systems under different carbon source conditions.Microbial community abundance and structure were determined by quantitative PCR and high-throughput sequencing,respectively.The biodegradation production of CIP and possible degradation mechanism were also studied.Results showed that CIP had adverse effects on the nutrient removal from wastewater.Compared with sodium acetate,glucose could be more effectively used by microorganisms,thus eliminating the negative effects of CIP.Glucose stimulated the microbial abundance and increased the removal rate of CIP by 18%–24%.The mechanism research indicated that Proteobacteria and Acidobacteria had a high tolerance for CIP.With sodium acetate as a carbon source,the abundance of nitrite-oxidizing bacterial communities decreased under CIP,resulting in the accumulation of nitrite and nitrate.Rhodanobacter and Microbacterium played a major role in nitrification and denitrification when using sodium acetate and glucose as carbon sources.Dyella and Microbacterium played positive roles in the degradation process of CIP and eliminated the negative effect of CIP on SBR,which was consistent with the improved removal efficiency of pollutants.Yixiang Cai Zhiyong Yan Yingjuan Ou Boshang Peng Lihua Zhang Jihai Shao Yiqing Lin Jiachao Zhang 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1:4
8Simulation of mass and heat transfer in liquid hydrogen tanks during pressurizing显示文摘In order to accurately predict the heat and mass transfer behaviors and analyze key factors affecting pressurization process in the hydrogen tank, a comprehensive 2 D axial symmetry Volume-Of-Fluid(VOF) model is established by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) method.The effects of phase change, turbulence and mass diffusion are included in the model and relationships between physical properties and temperature are also comprehensively considered. The phase change model is based on Hertz-Knudsen equation and the mass transfer time relaxation factor is determined by the NASA’s experimental data. The mass diffusion model is included in gaseous helium pressurizing. The key factors including the inlet temperature, inlet mass flow rate, injector types and pressurizing gas kinds are quantitatively analyzed. Compared with the experiment, the simulation results show that the deviation of pressurizing gas mass consumption, condensing mass and ullage temperature are 3.0%, 7.5% and 4.0% respectively. The temperature stratification is existed along the axial direction in the surface liquid region and the ullage region, and the bulk liquid is in subcooled state during pressurizing. The location of phase change mainly appears near the vapor–liquid interface, and the mass transfer expressing as condensation or vaporization is mainly determined by the heat convection and molecular concentration near the vapor–liquid interface.The key factors show that increasing the inlet temperature and inlet mass flow rate could shorten the pressurizing time interval and save the pressurizing gas mass. The proportion of the total energy addition of the tank absorbed by the ullage region, the liquid region and the tank wall respectively is greatly influenced by the injector types and more heat transferred into the ullage would result in a faster pressure rising rate. Gaseous hydrogen pressurization has a higher efficiency than gaseous helium pressurization. 9Structural Changes and Rheological Properties of Dry Abalone Meat (Haliotis diversicolor) During the Process of Water Restoration显示文摘Changes in tissue structure, rheological property and water content of dry abalone meat in the process of water restora- tion were studied. The weight and volume of dry abalone meat increased with water restoration. When observed under a light micro- scope, structural change in myofibrils was obvious and a distinct network was found. When water restoration time increased from 24 h to 72 h, the instantaneous modulus E0 and viscosity η1 increased, whereas the rupture strength and relaxation time (τ1) were re- duced. There were no significant changes of rheological parameters (E0, η1, τ1, rupture strength) from 72 h to 96 h of water restoration. Therefore, the dry abalone meat was swollen enough at the time of 72 h. 10Effects of Alginate Gel on Rheological Properties of Hair-tail (Trichiurus lepturus) Surimi显示文摘Effects of alginate gel at different concentrations on rheological properties of hair-tail (Trichiurus lepturus) surimi were investigated. Alginate gel (1% - 3%) exhibited enhanced effects, especially when alginate gel concentration increased. The rheological properties of mixture samples were studied by the time sweep, frequency sweep and temperature sweep. The critical strain values of the mixture samples for the onset of non-linear viscoelasticity were about 5%. The storage modulus G' of the mixture samples increased with time for 4 h. The frequency sweep showed that G' was greater than G' for all the mixture gels with different alginate gel concentrations, and values of both n' and n' for all samples were low (<0.2), these constants corresponding to G' and G', and indicating the elasticity of mixture gels. 12BED FORMS AND RESISTANCE PROPERTIES OF LIGHT-WEIGHT BED MATERIAL显示文摘Based on experimental results from a large tilting flume, the characteristics and de- veloping processes of bed forms of plastic particles during scouring and deposition are systematically studied. The relationships of the occurence, development and disappearence of sand waves with the flow conditions are presented. Various statistical characteristics of sand waves with different sizes and the corresponding resistance properties of different bed forms of plastic particles are obtained. These results have filled in the gaps in bed forms and resistance properties of light sediment particles. 20Analysis on Chemical Constituents of Rhodiola crenulata显示文摘[Objectives] To measure and analyze chemical composition of R. crenulata. [Methods] Taking R. crenulata in Lang County of Tibet as the research object,the routine nutritional components,trace elements and amino acid were determined,and the nutrition was evaluated by the international general evaluation method. [Results]The protein content of R. crenulata in Lang County of Tibet was 2. 08%,and fat was 5. 67%. Amino acid was incomplete amino acid,and Ile,Met + Cys were the first limiting amino acids of rhodiola root protein,while Leu was the second limiting amino acid of rhodiola root protein. The final amino acid score was 0. Magnesium,iron,zinc and other mineral elements were abundant,and there was no mercury,cadmium,lead and other heavy metals residues.
